I stopped by today at the Scottsdale location. I heard that this place had poke so I thought I'd try it. I've been to a couple poke places before but this place is a little different. They're more of a fish market restaurant, should've known by the name. I ordered the Hawaiian poke bowl in a large size. It comes with carrot, cucumber, edamame, pineapple, seasoned wakame, macadamia nuts, sesame seeds, rice and 2 proteins (I chose salmon and spicy scallops). Ran me about $25 ish. A little bit more than I was used to paying for poke but still got it. Also the toppings are pre determined, as far as I'm aware, so I wasn't able to customize that or any sauce. I did stop by on a busier time of the day, so it did take a min or two to put my order in.
Upon presentation my food looked great. But when I did start to eat it I couldn't help but notice a strong salty taste, possibly from soy sauce, maybe from the sesame seeds or wakame? Not sure. Afterwards I did top it off with some sriracha but it still had an underlying taste of salt.
Overall in my opinion the food was meh, maybe a little hyped for the poke, given the price. But to be fair they have much more to offer on the menu. The service was ok, but i did visit on a busier time of day. Overall my experience was fine..
