"Whether you want an Angus burger, scallops in Champagne sauce, or a tofu stir fry, you can find it on the eclectic menu of this dining room within the Southampton Inn, a mini resort just steps from the center of town. Breakfast – smoked salmon scramble, brioche French toast, or waffles with whipped cream and berries – is also worth checking out, and it’s still warm enough to dine in the garden area overlooking the lawn and pool." - Beth Landman

"Picnic service is available on the expansive lawn at this surprisingly reasonable resort just steps from the center of Southampton. Open all day until 6 p.m., Claude’s is best known for brioche French toast, smoked salmon scramble, and other brunch items, but it also serves an array of generous salads, fish tacos, burgers, and veggie chili." - Beth Landman

I had a wonderful dining experience at Claude’s restaurant . This restaurant's signature burger is truly impressive and innovative, with a very fresh and delicious beef patty. The waitstaff were exceptionally friendly, making me feel very welcome. The drinks were not only visually appealing but also tasted great. I highly recommend everyone to give this place a try!

Overall loved the brunch. It was quiet in there on a summer weekend which was surprising but food was nice. The really should include potatoes with the sandwiches though for brunch it shouldn’t cost extra. I loved the Shakshuka!!! Also we had the best server named Leslie W - she was a sweet lady who kept it real! We love Leslie, out of all the servers in the Hampton’s she was so down to earth!

Google
The waiter took so long to take our order, than had the audacity to act surprised/confused that we hadn’t had our order taken. Why would we have our menus in our hands if we had our order taken? I ordered a bacon and cream cheese omelette and I received a cold ham and mushroom egg white omelette. The rest of my table also had cold meals, they then refused to offer a discount for giving me the wrong meal, one of my dining patrons had a huge egg shell in his eggs Benedict, will never return

Google
They had a special holiday menu with normal burgers that were fresh and really good. The chicken nuggets were also good quality.

Having lunch with friends at Claude's Restaurant at the Southampton Inn was a delightful experience! We ordered different burgers and sandwiches, and two drinks, all of which tasted really good. I particularly enjoyed the crispy and refreshing sides with the tuna. We will definitely be back again!

Google
Had a fantastic time at Claude's with friends over the holiday! We tried the chicken sandwich, tuna salad, and the burger, each dish was really a hit, especially the juicy burger!!! must try! the setting is perfect for a relaxed meal, and our server was super friendly, Definitely coming back!

Google
We gave Claude’s three chances during our stay in Southampton, hoping things would improve—but the portion sizes just got smaller each time. I paid over $20 for a two-egg omelet with only two filling options, and it came with a tiny handful of home fries that wouldn’t satisfy a child, let alone an adult. My mother-in-law was shocked to receive just one piece of toast with her breakfast—something she’s never experienced in her life. After each meal, the only thing we could talk about was how skimpy the portions were. It's a real letdown, especially since the previous chef used to serve generous plates. Sadly, that no longer seems to be the case. Given the high prices, we left very disappointed.

My friends and I went to Claude’s at the Southampton Inn last week. The restaurant is the hidden gem at the Southampton, New York. My experience at this restaurant was amazing. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with outdoor patio. The food exceeded my expectation, the service was wonderful. For an appetizer I recommend to order "Lobster Mango Salad". As for main dish I would suggest to order “Halibut With Beans, Asparagus and Saffron Couscous” It was very memorable experience. I will definitely come back again to enjoy a pleasant experience.

Yelp
My friend and I entered the restaurant on a Sunday at 1 PM. The restaurant was fairly empty with only one other large table in the restaurant. Service was pretty fast and friendly but food did take a little bit to get to us. We ordered two dishes to share: LOBSTER ROLL: The flavor of the lobster roll was very good but a bit heavy on the celery. The buttered roll was nice as well. It came with fries that were well fried. However, I'm not sure if it's worth the full, hefty $30 price tag. EGG BENEDICT: The Benedicts were a bit smooshed but flavor was pretty good. The potatoes also had nice taste but could have been just a bit crispier. All in all, a fairly good meal option especially in terms of hotel food.

Yelp
Was on a weekend trip to the Hamptons and looking for a restaurant that took dogs so me and my husband could grab breakfast. I called over to confirm and the women said they were a pet friendly hotel and accepted dogs. Food was excellent and our waitress Blanca was super friendly. No one made us feel unwelcome with the 2 dogs. Only downside is when leaving we were greeted by white tail deer. Of course there was concern of ticks but we decided to not allow the dogs on the grass and headed back to our property. If i was in the area again i would return based on service.

Yelp
I truly like this little restaurant that's off a hotel establishment The food can be anywhere to upscale to home style basic eats and beverages. I truly enjoy my basic eggs over easy with delish Home fries and yes a bold ice coffee. and get this the coffee is complementary even if you do not stay at the hotel which is next door freakin awesome. The personnel are great service is A plus without a doubt.

Yelp
Nice ambiance. Wait staff very friendly. Good service. The bathroom was tiny but clean. It was a struggle for someone with a pregnant belly. Not busy, we had no reservations but we were able to sit right away. Food was good but it seemed like it took a while for it to be out. Serving size was good except for the drinks which were very thin and narrow. Wish they would use a regular glass. The fresh squeezed OJ in that thin narrow glass is $9. Anyway, I only ate 2 out of 3 tacos. They also had outdoor seating but we sat inside. Expensive. Our bill was $82 for a panini, tacos, breakfast potatoes side, OJ, lemonade.

Yelp
Maybe I expected too much. Claude's was ok. The server was very nice, very efficient. The setting was clean. The breakfast was ok.

Yelp
Dined here last night (Friday). Food and service were 5 stars!! The piano music by Bobby Peterson was wonderful. Overall great experience

Romina R.

Yelp
Nice brunch spot. Good food with fast and friendly service. Dog friendly and spacious outdoors. Reasonable prices. Good turkey club and French toast.

Andrew H.

Yelp
Food was excellent for dinner with fresh tasty ingredients. Service was very friendly and attentive. They knew the menu and explained it very well. Portions were generous and desserts were all made in their kitchen. Outdoor seating area was lovely and quiet with beautiful plantings

Brian S.

Yelp
8 people went to brunch. The service was fine, with some glitches/rough spots. Everyone must be mindful of the fact that employees, especially seasoned employees, are extremely hard to come by, if available at all. The food was good, proper portions, not too much or too little. Nothing fancy, just very nice. Everyone was quite pleased. We will go again.

Kim P.

Yelp
Very good, for lunch..... I asked the waitress what her favorite menu item was and she recommended the steak tacos... we took her advice. Three large steak filled tacos with guacamole and a sauce came on a plate, warm not hot but tasty. Drinks are also well made and actually taste great, not like pure alcohol. We went back and ordered shrimp cocktail, steak tidbits and tuna tartare to take to our room. Steak tidbits are well done, no matter what you ask for, shrimp were HUGE, tuna tartare left much to be desired- Overall, I would go again.

Yelp
Came her for Thanksgiving Dinner and it was a disaster. The side dishes were completely different than what was listed on the menu and the food was incredibly bland. Don't waste your time or money! *The attached picture is of two of the sides. The "cauliflower gratin" and the "caramelized Brussel sprout leaves." Both sides ended up being steamed cauliflower and brussel sprouts.

Sherry C.

Yelp
It was a perfect evening to dine outdoors in a quiet and lovely setting. Our party of 7 got lucky with the summer weather, and felt even more so with our delightful and knowledgeable server, aptly named 'Lucky'. Several of us had the Champagne Scallops - so luscious and beautifully presented; others opted for the Honey Glazed Salmon and Fettuccine Alfredo, prepared to perfection. Portions were generous but not over-bearing so we all had room for dessert. It was hard to choose among the assortments so Tiramisu, fresh Berry Cobbler and a rich Chocolate Molten Lava Cake - with ice cream - were shared around the table. We will DEFINITELY be back on our next visit to Southampton!

Yelp
Best chicken piccata I had since my grandmother died 40 years ago. Had to meet the chef, Darren, to thank him for the best memory of my grandma. My first taste brought tears to my eyes with happiness. I tried to replicate this recipe many many times without success. Darren gave me some points which I can't wait to try. Best meal in forever. I will surely return!

David K.

Yelp
Been here a few times (each time we stay for breakfast) and each time it's a disaster. The first time it was off season so I let it slide. We were out for memorial day and it was worse. The manager took off for the weekend so that should tell you something immediately. The wait staff was such an unorganized mess is was al.most comical. The sales staff (Mary) was the one becon of light in a dark cloud of "no buiness running a resturant". We arrived with 2 kids (2 and 7) and my 87 year old mother. It was 45 min to an hour before we ordered and anther 45 min for the food. When it came it was edible. Not a place to go on purpose.

Yelp
I like the breakfast/brunch here. The menu is small but the quality great and the available selection has something for everyone. I love pancakes and you can get theirs with fruit or chocolate chips. I look forward to trying the French toast another time ( made with brioche) another time

Chidere N.

Yelp
Visited the Hamptons for the weekend and dined at Claude's Restaurant at the @SouthamptonInn in Southampton, New York. My friends and I enjoyed a signature selection of popular and newly introduced dishes created by Executive Chef James Carpenter. My favorite was the Maine Divers Scallops which were so soft, warm and seasoned to perfection. It was plated with Sweet Corn and Lima Bean Succotash. We also enjoyed the Murray Chicken with Summer Vegetables and Marjoram Jus plus a Dry-aged NY Strip Steak with Beef Steak Tomatoes Baby Arugula and Balsamic It was all so delicious and perfectly executed

Nela V.

Yelp
What can I say about Claude's restaurant in Southampton Inn? Wow! What a great experience and service! Three of my girlfriends and I went there last Thursday and it was the perfect choice. For appetizers we shared a local and creamy sweet corn soup chilled with blue crab meat topping, the halibut with beans, asparagus and saffron couscous, the dry aged strip steak salad with tomatoes and balsamic vinagrette dressing and a new salad on the menu: the local peach and yellow and red watermelon (shaped little balls) with baby arugula. Everything was awesome. Our entrees were beyond great. We tried the Murray chicken with seasonal vegetables, the  lobster mango salad and my very favorite the maine divers scallops with sweet corn lima in a bed of beans succotash.  After we finished our delicious lunch, the chef James Carpenter went to the table and talk ask us about our dining experience. This place is so welcoming, definitely a "most go to" in the Hamptons.

Yelp
This is the best kept secret in the Hamptons. It's sweet and unpretentious, with sterling food and low prices. We've had wonderful dinners, breakfasts, and brunches here, and we almost always have the place to ourselves. In Southampton, where deals are an endangered species, this is fine dining you can enjoy in a T-shirt. Bottomless mimosas. Rich Hollandaise. Stuffed French toast. Wonderful coffee. And those are just today's highlights.

Lindsey C.

Yelp
We stayed at the Southampton Inn, and Claude's is located on the bottom floor - what a gem for a delicious brunch! The staff was plentiful, nice, and service was outstanding. The brioche french toast was especially yummy!

Neil B.

Yelp
We had breakfast here both days that we stayed at the Southampton Inn. Like at the Inn, everyone at Claude's was very nice and accommodating but unlike at the Inn, prices were very reasonable! The breakfast food is pretty good and the service attentive and friendly. Special kudos to Bradley who served us both days!

Kyle S.

Yelp
I'm surprised by these great reviews. My wife and I walked to Claude's for breakfast and ordered the Eggs Any Way. Upon receiving the dishes we noticed the coating of vegetable oil over the potatoes, the eggs, and the bacon. Honestly it looked disgusting and we both knew it would give us a stomach ache. The service was okay. Ray who sat us down and served us was great. But there was an older woman who confronted us about how bacon is supposed to be greasy. Overall, I truly would never come here again. The food is literally disgusting. As a side note the restaurant has weird vibes and feels like a basement nightclub. How is this in Southampton?!

Yelp
While waiting for my friend at the Southampton Inn, I decided to have a little breakfast. I happened to call Claudio's at 10:54 AM. Terry, answered and I was told that if I ordered in the next few minutes, she would seat me. I walked in a minute later. She took my order, French toast with sugar free syrup and coffee. Terry was just superb. She was so warm and welcoming that it started my day off as sunny as it was on that day. The French toast was accompanied by fresh blueberries and strawberries and a nice dollop of homemade whipped cream. It was amazing. I will be back to Claude's and try something else next time. Thank you again Terry for your excellent hospitality.

Bill K.

Yelp
This place is really bad, old poorly cooked food. The location is in the basement of the hotel.

Rich M.

Yelp
Sorry to be the first non-stellar review. The restaurant was empty. Red Flag Number 1. The servers were both pleasant though the bartender seemed to be upset about something and was not quiet about it. Our server Greg was nice and attentive. The food is... not good. Their Seafood Fettuccini had one ingredient... and that was salt. The Surf & Turf was drenched in salt and chicken broth, and more salt. Isn't food in a restaurant supposed to be hot? We won't go back.

William N.

Yelp
Came here for brunch this weekend and it was a pleasant time! There were seating options indoors and outdoors; Decided to sit indoors by the bar due to the humid weather. The setting was quite nice with staff all in bright blue shirts, a fancy piano in the center, and multiple seating options with one being a couch for couples. Their brunch menu was full of great choices and they all looked fantastic when spying on what was coming out of the kitchen. I ate the Biscuits and Gravy which was quite flavorful and filling! Although the star for me was the Crab Cake Benedict that my mother ordered: Absolutely delicious! One of the best Benedicts I had in recent memory thanks to the bold hollandaise and fresh crab cakes topping it. This is truly a delicious gem hidden on the side of Southampton town!

Robert S.

Yelp
Excellent lunch, great service. Curry chicken salad and chicken Milanese . Nice room, too. Reasonably priced. Do it.

Luke L.

Yelp
Amazing food. This place is a hidden Gem under the Southampton Inn. The staff is 5 star attentive and kind. Everything on the menu is excellent! It will be a real shame when this place fully catches on and it becomes impossible to get a table. Absolutely excellent.

Allen F.

Yelp
Here on a date for the package dinner/cabaret performance by famous pianist Konstantin Soukhovetski, being offered this summer on Thursday evenings at the Southampton Inn. The meal was thoroughly delightful and outstandingly delicious, and we elected to dine on their outdoor terrace. So romantic! We had full choices of any appetizer and any entree, and the choices included superb halibut and lobster mango salad. A wonderful selection of choice of glass of wine or dessert was included. Service excellent. Will definitely be back again to enjoy such an exception evening of fine dining and entertainment. Worth more than the $75 package special!

Justin C.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful all around! Outdoor dining ambiance was perfect, food was divine, and service was gracious and attentive. You absolutely have to save room for one (or more) of the fabulous desserts!

Dianne R.

Yelp
A hidden GEM for sure!! Beautiful decorations. Clean and bright! VERY ACCOMMODATING! Went in on a Wednesday and was looking for brunch, even though it was 12, they were so friendly and made us whatever we wanted!! Tina and the entire kitchen staff went above and beyond to make our experience top notch!! The food was excellent and the portions were really good too!! The Bottomless bloody Mary's were so good as well!! I would definitely recommend trying this place out , you will not be disappointed, they were working on an outdoor seating with lighting for dinners through the fall/winter months.

Caroline M.

Yelp
A really disappointing time. We had made reservations for brunch to sit outside, but when we got there we were told all the seats had been taken outside but we could sit anywhere inside. The inside room was sterile, the ambiance depressing. We sat at a table with a booth only to be told that actually we couldn't sit there either, it was being held for an "event" that never materialized over the hour and a half that we were there. All other tables had hard, uncomfortable chairs. We ordered a round of bloody Mary's which came as a plain tomato juice, with no seasoning whatsoever. Also, the staff routinely spoke about the guest's races right in front of us (one example was a waiter named Jonathan who kept reaffirming to a table down the way as "those asian people"). Would not go back or recommend to anyone, even in a pinch.

Scott W.

Yelp
(Breakfast review) I should have know when the entry to the restaurant was only accessed by first descending a carpeted flight of stairs, what to expect. Nevertheless... The service was delightful -- super personable, funny and folksy. The food was honestly a little 'milk toast.' Sort like like what you'd expect on offer at an airport Marriott breakfast buffet. And this is perfectly reasonable for most people in most places. But I would have expected a bit more thoughtful and creative options from such a great hotel, in peak Hamptons summer season.

Jim T.

Yelp
Reasonable prices , great location and fresh food. Nothing out of the ordinary as far as selection but ingredients are fresh and tasty! Excellent service too!

Susan J.

Yelp
The new menu is great. The lobster mango salad exceeded expectations during my first dinner at the newly renovated restaurant and I've had it a number of times since. Highly recommended! The quiet outdoor seating on the pool patio is a special garden setting on a nice day !

Bill M.

Yelp
Sitting by the pool you could be in Palm Beach or Santa Barbara. Cobb Salad was terrific. My wife had the Curried Chicken Salad. Very reasonable and terrific service. Very quiet. Great find. Go.

J P.

Yelp
My husband and I and another couple went to the New Years Eve Gala which included open bar, dinner, dancing, and other assorted festivities. The staff was great, they ran the whole show like a well-oiled machine. There were at least 100 people there, yet it never felt crowded. The food was plentiful and delicious. We live in Southampton so we didn't take advantage of the hotel rooms, which were available. We came into the night not sure what to expect, we left laughing, dancing, singing and planning for next year! Thank you Southampton Inn!

Alison F.

Yelp
Went for n Thursday night and had a wonderful meal!! The service was top notch From our very handsome waiter named Michael from South Africa Our drinks were made to perfection very cold dry martinis I had the delicious lobster appetizer which was large enough to share My friend had the calamari and shrimp with a red chili sauce really great!! My Berkshire double thick chop was out of this world with sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes. I took half of it home for dinner the next night My friends had the salmon and chicken which they loved The prices are not like other Hamptons place. Very reasonable and fair I would recommend this restaurant to everyone Don't walk run there !!!

James S.

Yelp
One of the worst restaurants I've been to. I went for thanksgiving and the food was awful. I ordered the cauliflower gratin and they gave me steamed cauliflower and broccoli with no seasoning. Insanely overpriced.

Emma R.

Yelp
The location, service and food is superb! Chef James Carpenter definitely did not disappoint! I highly recommend the lobster mango salad along with the hanger steak and fries. I definitely plan on bringing the family!

Leslie G.

Yelp
Best avoided!! I had a signature dish Halibut - which was tasty due to use of truffle in the sauce. However sadly the fish was over cooked and had been frozen. Far too much butter in the sauce - should come with a health warning! With some adjustment this could be a nice winter dish. To me Halibut swimming in a overly rich butter sauce is not a good choice for summer - very disappointing. If this is a signature dish I would not be in a hurry to sample other menu items. Sadly not a restaurant to add to your list, although nice wines and great service! There are better restaurants out there!

Izzy J.

Yelp
One word, Amazing! The staff is attentive, We asked they... well, served lol. The food oh my goodness the food was delicious! And the drinks, had just the right amount of kick. 5 out of 5 stars, totally recommend! The room was clean and perfect a few nights stay. And any questions we had, the staff was more then willing to accommodate us any way they could.

J C.

Yelp
This is a wonderful hidden gem of a restaurant. It is our 4th time dining here and every time was a fabulous experience. Dine poolside or in the European patio. Incredible food. Incredible staff. Thank you Claude's

Steve D.

Yelp
We are huge fans of Claude's and believe it's the best kept secret in Southampton village. It's quiet, the food is delicious and well-priced, and we love that the kids can run around outside and play the games they have set up near the outdoor seating. Definitely a must when you are in Southampton.

Rima P.

Yelp
Absolutely adorable! I loved the French toast and most importantly one of the kindest servers I've enc

Fiona F.

Yelp
After spending the morning and afternoon in Southampton, choosing to have lunch at Claude's at the Southampton Inn was a great decision as it was a delicious and memorable experience. The restaurant had impeccable service which had elevated my experience there even more. To eat, I had the Local Peach and Watermelon salad to start and Murray Chicken with Summer Veg and Marjoram Jus for my entree. Both choices were so refreshing and seasoned perfectly. Overall, Claude's was great place to eat in Southampton NY, and I recommend checking it out!

Chris S.

Yelp
Quickly becoming one of my favorite lunch and dinner spots. Awesome atmosphere plus outdooor patio and pool seating. Service is always on point without being overbearing. Food is world class and they havent missed yet. Top shelf wine list and a killer cocktail list as well. Not to be skipped!!

Theresa F.

Yelp
We enjoyed fresh local oysters and a delicious lobster salad to start our meal. Both were beautifully presented. Sticking with seafood theme, we ordered halibut and seafood linguini for our main course. Again, both were beautifully plated, fresh and delicious. The service was top notch and timed for a leisurely, relaxing meal. The wine list was impressive and featured local wines in addition to other regions. Specialty drinks are also impressively prepared from scratch. Finally, the restaurant is located at the Southampton Inn in with ample and no hassle parking.

Rob B.

Yelp
This is a great spot with terrific food. Attentive, friendly staff with great specials. Mostly bistro style continental fare at v reasonable prices for Hamptons.
