NYC Japanese Restaurant Fifteen East Reopens in Union Square | Eater NY

"An Astoria-based comfort-food restaurant made its Manhattan debut on Sunday, July 23 with a third location on the Lower East Side at 92 Rivington Street, near Ludlow Street. Expect casual hearty dishes like crispy chicken crunchwraps, chopped cheese empanadas, and loaded mac and cheeses; there are dine-in counter seats as well as takeout and delivery services. The Manhattan expansion was supposed to open in April 2024 but encountered delays, and owner Donnie D’Alessio signed a new lease for the same address." - Melissa McCart

Comfortland - Review - Lower East Side - New York - The Infatuation

"Comfortland is what you’d get if you let a hungry pre-teen design your menu with very little pushback. The over-the-top takeout spot started in Astoria, and now it has second location on the Lower East Side where you can grab some chopped cheese empanadas, loader tater tots with hot honey and ribeye, and a cornmeal-crusted fried chicken sandwich oozing spicy mayo and blackberry jam. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Bryan Kim

Jamaica Patty Chain Juici Patties Opens First New York Restaurants | Eater NY

"A Queens comfort-food restaurant is finally advancing on its long-awaited Manhattan location at 92 Rivington Street (near Ludlow Street), scheduled to open in late June; this third location was announced about two and a half years ago and had been slated to open in April 2024, but issues delayed it until the team signed a new lease in mid-May, as announced by Donnie D’Alessio. The original Astoria restaurant opened in 2010 and became known for hearty items such as loaded fried chicken sandwiches, chopped cheese empanadas, and croissant breakfast sandwiches. The brand expanded into Williamsburg earlier this January with a ghost-kitchen location offering pickups and deliveries only." - Nadia Chaudhury

The owner is a genius for creating this place the food is AMAZING I could have literally gotten the whole menu I got the chopped cheese empanadas they were so delicious and juicy and the Llama Cesar wrap is on another level the created their own Caesar dressing with red peppers it was just out of this world. Will at the counter is a sweet heart so nice great conversation he gave me stickers for myself and my children. Also don't sleep on the strawberry lemonade my son who is picky with everything even loved it. I cant wait to go back and try more of their food

Absolutely obsessed. I was a huge fan of their Astoria location, so when I found out they opened in Manhattan, I lost my mind. I went straight there and tried the BBQ Crunchwrap. Hands down one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Like, I’m literally going back today because I can’t stop thinking about it. If you haven’t tried their chicken sandwiches yet, you’re missing out on a life experience. The whole vibe is unreal. Walking in feels like stepping into someone’s tricked-out basement in the best way possible. It’s cozy, cool, and full of character. Just go. Trust me.
