I had tried Corbin Q's previously pre-pandemic. I remembered that their BBQ was quite tasty. We chose here for our usual get-together with Yelpers Maggie and Soo. The parking lot seemed limited, but there was seating indoors and outdoors. They did request for you to be masked to go in, but you could take it off when you're eating. There is also a sink available to wash your hands separate from the bathroom. The walls were decorated with pictures and stickers. Some notating the Tap Truck. Soo and Maggie explained to me that it was another business that the owner of Corbin Q's owns, in which it was a truck that had taps on the outside of it.
Hubby and I ordered the CQ Sampler which consisted of Tritip, sausage, pulled pork, chicken wings, and bread. Along with some smoked chicken. You can get the chicken in 1/4 or 1/2 lbs. It was quite moist and tasty. I was a fan of the sampler. The pulled pork was super tender and soft. And I liked the chicken wings as well, it was lightly flavored which I liked. Sausage was tasty. I thought the tri-tip was alright, but it was nice to eat with the sauce we got at the side.
The CQ Sampler is listed twice on the menu, and it's just better to get it as a combo ($20) instead of on its own ($17). The combo includes a drink and a side, which is more worth it as the sides are usually above ~$4 usually. We got the side of mac and cheese and a separate order of cole slaw. Mac and cheese was decent. Cole slaw was a bit on the light side.
They had Sweet and Spicy sauces to the right of the counter after you paid - so you can let them know you want sauce on the side. Hubby and I were more fans of the sweet sauce than the spicy. Do be careful, as I think some of the spicy sauces did get mixed up in the sweet sauces. We went back to grab a sauce and realized it wasn't the sweet sauce but the spicy sauce. I believe the way to distinguish them would be the shade of the sauce color.
Soo ordered the burger combo. And I must say, the fries that come with that were really good as well! I believe Maggie ordered the tri tip over mac and cheese. All our portions were pretty hearty and we all enjoyed our time eating and catching up.
I also tried Maggie's drink which was Schilling - passport pineapple passion fruit - hard cider. I was definitely a fan, and would come back for it again - but these days, I have to watch what I eat (due to an incoming wedding). Can't wait to come back and not watch what I eat calorie-wise.
