The Best Restaurants in Oceanside, California | Eater San Diego

"This beer and taco destination satisfies with a wide variety of tacos, any of which can be made “birria-style,” or drenched in consomé, mulitas, nachos, and bowls; its fiery pastor meat is sliced directly from the trompo (as it should be). Sides include guacamole, consomé cups, beans, and chips and salsas. Ice-cold beers on draft and Mexican sodas complete the picture." - Helen I. Hwang

Craft Coast Beer & Tacos in Oceanside is an absolute gem! The tacos are amazingly delicious, packed with flavor, fresh ingredients, and perfectly cooked meats. You can really taste the quality. I love the whole concept of Beer and Tacos, such a fun, laid-back vibe that’s perfect for relaxing with friends. Their craft beer selection is impressive and pairs perfectly with the food. The atmosphere is lively, the staff is friendly, and everything feels well thought out. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this spot is a must-try.

I enjoyed Craft Coast Beer & Tacos even more than I expected! I tried the Helles and the Agua Baja—both were crisp, refreshing, and full of flavor. For food, I ordered a Birria taco, an Al Pastor taco, and a side of chips and salsa. The tortillas tasted fresh, and the Birria taco was fantastic—everything you want from birria. The Al Pastor had great flavor, though the meat was a bit on the dry side. Overall, a great meal paired with excellent beers. The patio is also a great spot for people-watching or catching the sunset. Definitely worth a visit!

We had a great time at this yummy location in downtown Oceanside. The vibe was good. The crowd was good. Dog friendly. Close to everything. The only downside was the waiter grabbed my wife drink before she was done. She was less than thrilled to have lost the last two tiny sips of her kamboocha.

If you enjoyed this review or found it helpful please hit the heart shape and consider following me. My friend and I sell steak, chicken and seafood off a truck across southern Nevada, California, and Arizona. Along the way we hit every dive bar, greasy spoon and habadashery, I enjoy chatting them with you. Parking is street parking and downtown Oceanside is very walkable with the exception of Thursdays. Thursdays downtown Oceanside has a farmers market in the day and street fair in the evenings. If you are headed there on a Thursday there is ample free parking one block away. (Seagaze and Cleveland) I went with the wife, she went with the carne asada tacos and I chose the birria and a draft porter. 10/10 is all but impossible for a taco or a burger because they are and simple, is hard. I have only found one 10/10 burger (gone now), this is the only the second 10/10 taco. (Nick's crispy taco in SF) What set this taco apart starts with the hand made corn tortilla. There is a satisfying crunch as your teeth break through it. It is sweet it is salty it doesn't just cradle the burria, you taste the tortilla first. Then comes the burria, my mouth is watering right now as I write. The wife's taco was wonderful as well but mine were amaze-balls. The porter washed it down perfectly. This place is usually busy, we ate on the patio and enjoyed ample elbow space. This taco is worth the drive no matter where you are driving from. 10/10 amaze-balls!

Food was great, ordered a Birria Taco and a Al Pastor Mulita with a side of beans. The Aqua Baja beer was pretty good also. Not really traditional Mexican but not white washed either. Overall worth the visit and prices aren’t terrible.

Google
Delicious tacos ! The carne asada and birria tacos were simply the best! They also have a brewery inside which gives it a different vibe altogether. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back! Yummy, yummy!

Google
Probably the best tacos I’ve ever had, and I’ve eaten tacos my whole life. The meat is delicious the tortillas are delicious and the salsa is excellent. I’ve been eating here about once a week since they opened. My parents are from out of town, I brought them one time, and now they make the hour drive from their home with their friends to show them this place. Also the beer is premium, best part is they have hard kombucha for my wife so we can drink together. Overall amazing place, one of my favorites.

Google
Great experience. Super friendly staff, ordering via Toast app was painless, food was quick and delicious. Birria Taco and Al Pastor Mulita. All excellent. I’m not a huge soft corn tortilla fan and it was all still enjoyable!

Yelp
Great casual brewery and taco joint! You order up front and seat yourself. Place was a bit cramped but we managed to find a high top seat. I got the Pilsner and my fiancé got the Sunset Market. The Pilsner was a nice light beer while the sunset market was a very tarty/sour drink. We got 4 tacos (2 birrira, 1 el pastor, 1 pollo) and 1 carne asada nacho. The birrira had a crunchy shell which gave good texture to each bite. Really liked the Smokey taste of the pollo. We got the nachos since we thought we wouldn't be filled, but the nacho portion was quite large. Overall, tacos/nachos were solid. Place seem very casual and nice to hang out. Very dog friendly.

Yelp
Yummmm. Tacos forever!!! Craft Coast Beer & Tacos always hits the spot. This time I opted for a Hazy IPA, a carne asada taco, and an al pastor taco. Delish. Chill vibes, great service. What more could you possibly want?!!

Yelp
7.5/10 Chips and Salsa- These were alright! Nothing crazy to rave about. 8.9/10 Birria Tacos- These were very delicious! I asked for extra cilantro and onions (personal preference). I only needed to order two because the tacos were HUGEEE. Also, they have a huge selection of different sauces to try. Sauces are self serve and unlimited. This is my second time here and is my go-to spot in Oceanside! 10/10 Service- Even though we ordered via on our phones the person who served our food was so kind with great customer service! 8/10 Cost: 1 Birria taco- $5.25, Chips and Salsa- $3.50

Yelp
A nice cool place with craft beer and really nice tacos. The service was great. Being my first time there, they were friendly and gave some great recommendations. I ordered a Taco Bowl with chicken and extra order of Tortilla chips. The ambience was casual and there are also patio and outside sitting available.
google avatar

Brittney L.

Yelp
I saw $5.25 per taco and felt the cost was steep but after having tried the tacos I do think they're worth it. The tacos are a decent size and have a lot of meat. - My favorite is the Al Pastor. Very flavorful and the meat was tender. - The Birria was good as well but not my favorite. The plate had a layer of consomme at the bottom so the side sitting on the plate was completely soggy ruining the crisp of the shell. - Pollo exceeded expectations. The chicken has a strong char which added to the flavor overall.

Yelp
Wow~ I was pretty impressed with this place!! Solid tacos are hard to come by-- but these were juicy and PACKED with flavor :) sooooo filling and the carne asada nachos were loading with beans, pico, and crema. Food was 10/10 and ambiance was great! Such a nice place to sit outside on a nice day and then head to the beach after. Tacos were 5.25 each, a bit steep but these quality of the taco makes up for it.

Yelp
This highly recommended spot was legit! It had the kitchen cooks carving pastor right onto the tortilla and cutting up the asada on the grill. Birria was not bad either. Beer selection was solid and the hipsters up front were thorough with their recommendations. The location is great, even on a cold, rainy night and I'm definitely coming back when I'm in town.
google avatar

Yelp
Great casual spot not too far from the beach and pier. Excellent place to grab a drink and some bites while enjoying the downtown Oceanside view. The drink selection has a great variety, something for everybody. And the food was what you'd expect for a brewpub, it definitely hit the spot. The staff was pretty quick and it was nice to be able to order straight from your table. Going to the counter wasn't too difficult though. Great place!
google avatar

Yelp
Great casual spot for a beer/wine and some tacos in downtown Oceanside. The vibe is very brewery with an airy, beachy feel. The menu consists of tacos, nachos, mulitas and taco bowls, although most of the time we have stuck to either the tacos or the nachos. I am a fan of their Carne Asada taco done Birria style. It is carne asada with the shell crisped with melted cheese. It is delicious and so messy. LOL. My BF has had and loves almost every taco they have, and my one friend who introduced us to the place swears by the birria taco with the cup of consomme. The patio is pup friendly.

Yelp
Holy smokes, these tacos were insane!! We came right when they opened and were served pretty immediately. We ordered the birria, carne asada, and pollo asado. I LOVED it!! So delicious, so tender, so flavorful. While the tacos are a bit on the pricier side, I'd definitely recommend trying them out. You get plenty of delicious meat and the salsa options are incredible. Service was fast, we got great beer recommendations from the man working the counter, and the merch is awesome!! I had a great time and there are napkins at every table which you'll need from how messy these tacos are! I loved it!!!
google avatar

Adian S.

Yelp
I wish I would've taken a picture of my food so I could look back and day dream about it! I got the birra nachos and the mango pear sour and it was unbelievable!! The service was so fast, the restaurant appeared to the clean, and over all it was a great place for a quick bite after errands all day. Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
I'm definitely a fan. The pollo asada was tender, not dry at all, and full of flavor. The pastor was delicious, with some tangy pineapple. And each was great with their guac. Downside was how cold it was on the coast and it was want warm inside since they have such large open doors. The patio had some heaters to make it a little more comfortable at least.
google avatar

Linda C.

Yelp
Amazing food and brews! Carne asada nachos (5/5): huge portion of nachos, very generous on all of the toppings. Would recommend ordering to share! Al pastor tacos (5/5): Flavorful, tender, and generous amount of guac came with each taco.

Yelp
Beer is good and food is great. I love the nachos. Theyre loaded with goodies and my husband is a big fan of the chicken tacos. Looking forward for trying more goodies as we return. Gavin was super helpful last time we were there. Its a great location and good spot to walk around and enjoy a nicer area of Oceanside.

Yelp
Nothing better than find a pet friendly brewery after a 4 mile walk with my furry friend. They have a pretty good menu and the tacos where perfect. Soft delicious carnitas. Taste was just on point. Is in the middle of downtown Oceanside and service was easy. You order your beer at the counter but they have QR codes to check out their menu. They had music going on and if you sit outside you can people watch as you enjoy your meal. There is parking all around but if you live walking distance nice spot to drop in.

Yelp
Ah, looking back at this meal, I could have stopped in more than I did, but the conference I attended already had most meals covered. The other conference attendees had the same feedback - DELICIOUS FOOD. Service was excellent, though it was confusing at first on whether we needed to get a server or not. I did not, however, get to try any of the beers on this trip. Great spot that was close to where I was staying. I'll be back, Craft Coast.

Yelp
Very tasty! The taco food truck/ patio is next to the brewery. It's dog friendly and covered which is great. They don't serve the full menu at the San Marcos location such as the burritos, but if you want to have a beer and hang out and not deal with downtown Oceanside then this is the place to go! The chips are very flavorful and so is the salsa. The tacos are generously sized and stuffed and the Al pastor taco was very tasty. My husband had the birria taco which came with the consume. They had Jarritos for sale as well which rounded it all out. We've also had the burrito at the Oceanside location and it was just as good. We will definitely go back!
google avatar

Yelp
What's better than Tacos and beers! This place has a simple menu, but oh so delicious! Great location, friendly staff. We will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
We stopped for a quick bite after a day of travel, I ordered one birria taco and one Al pastor coastal style, my partner is vegetarian and order two veggie tacos, we also tried their sour beer and hard kombucha. The service was great and $32 for two drinks and 4 tacos wasn't bad at all! We sat on the patio and enjoyed the weather. The tacos were delicious! Really good corn tortillas and the meat was well seasoned and juicy. My partner wasn't a huge fan of the veggie tacos, they were basically just huge chunks of zucchini.

Yelp
THE MULITAS and cilantro sauce are bomb. We've been searching for good food in the area for a long time and finally discovered this place. The hubby loved it so much that we went to check out their second location. They grill the al pastor on a spit roast and the marinade was so delicious. One mulita is filling enough for me and two for my hubby. Great, casual ambiance and craft beer if you're into that. We took the food to go because we don't drink.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent food. Fantastic beer selection. Great view right along Mission. Can't go wrong with this place if you're looking for great food in Oceanside and you're near the pier. Excellent birria!
google avatar

Rachel B.

Yelp
Great food and beer! Got the Al pastor nachos and they were awesome with little pineapple bits and also got the birria mulita which was YUM. For drinks got the prickly pear sour (would recommend) and a hazy IPA (if you like hazy IPAs haha). They had QR codes associated to where you sat but you can only order food on there. Ordered the drinks at the bar. Food and drinks came out fast with a kind server! A packed parking structure is just behind the brewery, free if you're able to find a spot. Right on the Main Street, sat outside to enjoy the nice summer day.

Yelp
Found this spot on a spur of the moment road trip to Oceanside. Great by the beach spot. We parked on the street and walked over. Definition of aesthetically pleasing. Cute urban mexican food spot. Clear menu and the staff were helpful. We ordered birria taco bowls. Great portion and flavorful. I also had one of their dark beers on tap. Reasonably priced as well. Would definitely come back.

Yelp
Very friendly people behind the counter, and we liked the layout of the interior and patio seating. My wife order a Pilsner which I tried --- it was one of the best I've ever had (I'm not normally a Pilsner person, but theirs was mighty tasty and paired perfectly with the Mexican food we ordered). I ordered their IPA brewed w/ New Zealand hops, and it was good (though I've had some far superior tasting ones up in Bend Oregon) .... side note: I wish more places in San Diego brewed w/ New Zealand hops. Very dog friendly: we snagged one of the large picnic tables out back in the sun (they also had a bunch of regular sized tables in a shaded outdoor area). Smooth ordering of food from the beer counter, and even though they were busy the food came out quickly. The carne asada in the mulita was high quality and was served up in nice big juicy chunks -- much more like one would eat if they ordered a medium-rare whole carne asada steak(as opposed to the smaller medium-well diced bits that one gets at your typical Roberto's style restaurant). The mulitas were very tasty -- much tastier than the ones we got from Fridas in Escondido a couple weeks prior. The pork taco had some really good toppings (the guac was great), but I was personally disappointed with the meat; next time I'll get the carne asada taco.

Yelp
We found this place after driving around the area looking for parking. Probably one of our best decisions we made all day! This place was busy! Which is always a great sign, being a brewery and offering in-house tacos is a great idea! Prices are reasonable and service is amazing. We were able to find a table and right away we had someone come over and wipe down the table. While ordering our food I was able to get a great recommendation to trying the Mexican lager which was a perfect fit for the tacos and the heat that day. Next time we're in the area this will be a definite to go spot.

Yelp
always heard this place was delicious and had to stop by. went on a weeknight and the vibes were amazing. we were welcomed and treated very kindly. it's a very relaxed vibes with an order counter and you seat yourself. food was delicious and came out so quickly. Salsa bar has a range of flavors and spice levels as well. large selection of beers, but we're mostly ipa styles. Still option for everyone and will def be back to try more of the menu. parking is mostly street and will fill up quickly. the parking structure around the corner is great option for that.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Friday evening. It was busy but managed to find a seat for a party of 2. We tried a taco and a mulita both were good! But omg the Chipotle and creamy cilantro sauce are soooo good! I got a blonde and my bf had an IPA we both liked them. They have some cool shirts and other merch. The inside decor is really nice. I like seeing all the tiles and cactus. They only have one tv indoors and obviously they had sports on.

Yelp
This place slaps. Came here over the weekend to meet up with some out of town friends. They suggested this place. Located near the Pier, this place was POPPIN' on Saturday afternoon. The beers were alright. I tried the hazies they had on tap, and got to try some of the mexican style lagers. HOWEVER, the 5 stars go solely to the FOOD. OMG, I kept talking about the nachos I got as soon as I got home. Man, the carne asada was flavorful and plentiful! Every chip had a bit of something. No bare chips. Maybe I was really hungry and immediately loved the food, but I don't think so. Anyways, I want to try their tacos and other stuff. Service was awesome too -- we played musical chairs, and the server was able to accommodate and find us. Apologies for that! Beertenders were great and patient too. How they managed the long lines during the lunch rush was a sight to be seen. Anyways, can't wait to come back. Thank you for stellar service. Cheers!

Yelp
It's been awhile since I have been to Craft Coast, forgot how delicious it is. The veggie taco's are amazing. Their taco's come with corn tortillas BUT they have the most amazing flour tortillas so that's how we get our taco's ( I think they make the tortillas there). Normally we get the chips with guacamole and salsa but it was just me so just got two tacos. I love hazy IPA's and they always have a good one. Marco and Gavin were the guys working the register/beer tap. They were both sooo kind and helpful

Yelp
My only raised eye brow was tip. We paid tip at the front when order was placed for food and drinks. It has the 15%,18%, 20% etc tip generated for customers to select but I also noticed a tip jar for "Kitchen" located by the salsa bar. I'm hoping tips that are given in the front are shared with the kitchen. Especially given the fact that we ordered food along with our beverages, and we are tipping on that total price. The kitchen tip jar isn't seen unless you want salsa and need utensils. I'm being optimistic and hoping management is fair to all the workers, but there really is no way of telling. There weren't many tips in the kitchen jar and everyone was enjoying their tacos. I just felt horrible since I only had a few dollar bills. Onto the review: What a fun vibe! First off, it's right in downtown Oceanside, a block away from a free parking structure and a block away from the beach. Place seems to be a popular spot as it was busy. Luckily we were able to find table seating inside. They have large windows which allow plenty of natural light, outdoor seating have heat lamps, and reggae music is playing throughout. If you are looking for quite dining, this is not it. You order at the front and despite moments of line being long, it surprisingly went by quick. Their staff is friendly and attentive, quickly delivering orders and clearing out tables. We had their al pastor and birria tacos, and al pastor nachos. I appreciate the pineapple on the al pastor taco and the juicy flavors of the birria. Also loved that our nachos were topped with diced pineapples. The al pastor seemed to be a little overcooked and charred, maybe heat too high on the trompo burner but the flavor was great. Their salsa bar was on another level. The variation of flavors was just incredible. Whether you wanted something spicy, smokey, fresh, they really did cater to every palette. Was bummed they didn't have a red ale. However, their Seastar hazy IPA and Oscura beer were delicious. We tried the Agua Baja too which was so light, which paired well as we ate. Overall great place that I wouldn't mind checking out again.

Yelp
Service was excellent, we got our food and drinks quickly. Very chill atmosphere, perfect for a quick lunch spot. Beer was also 10/10. I would return

Yelp
I'm going back here! Love them tacos, the vibe and service is amazing. Location is perfect . Outdoor seating and just down by the beach . I totally enjoyed the food and the visit .
google avatar

Jerry F.

Yelp
As if you needed another reason to enjoy tacos and craft beer, I came to love the aesthetic of the place itself. From the western art on the wall to the rustic, metal installations found throughout the bar, I found it to be a cool place to frequent while I visited from out of town. It's also only a short walk to the pier and other tourist attractions of Downtown Oceanside. But the beer itself left a lasting impression. The Old West is one of the better WC IPAs you'll find in the area, and the Agua Baja is a crisp Mexican lager that can compete with any one of the bigger guys in the industry. Next time you're in the area, make this your first stop in Downtown Oceanside.
google avatar

Emily A.

Yelp
I enjoyed my messy birria tacos here. Love the indoor/outdoor concept. 2 minute walk from our hotel (Mission Pacific) we came here twice on our trip. The tortillas were thick and yummy. We would definitely return if I were ever get a chance to stay at our gorgeous hotel again!

Yelp
Two great things: craft beer made in house and tacos under one roof! Glad that somebody had that fun idea! I can see why Craft Coast Beer and Tacos is so popular. When we got there, in early evening, around 6ish, there was hardly any place to seat, but it was a Saturday! We snagged a table outside, the staff came and cleaned it right away, it was a warm winter, balmy evening. On top, the attentive staff came over right away and turned the near by heat lamp on, so we were more than comfy and ready to people watch and decide on food! Craft Coast is in downtown Oceanside, a block away from the ocean, easy to find, with seating inside and outside. It's no frills, you go order, get a number, and they bring the food to your table. I will give the staff highest score, because they are around, not to be annoying, but to make sure you have what you need and they take care of you better than in any place where you order and get the number I have dined at! With smiles and pleasantries! Beers- we chose dark lagers and didn't disappoint! Smooth, crisp, nice flavor, not too bitter. Food- we had to get their nachos! So we shared a birria portion, full of meat, beans, guac, sour cream, cheese, they don't skimp on the ingredients all fresh and delicious. Great dish! We also shared a nice birria mulita (it was a birria kind of a night), it melted in out mouths and a portion of asada tacos, as fresh and flavorful as possible, some of the best tacos we ever had! They so know what they are doing here! There is a station to grab water from the house, sauces (do try the cilantro and the chipotle ones), forks, plates, etc. Fun atmosphere, amazing food, good beers! A great combination! Clean restrooms, welcoming staff and decent prices. Glad we tried Craft Coast and Tacos, it was on my list for our previous visit to Oceanside and this time around it was a destination for our anniversary! Nothing fancy, two great tastes that taste even better together, a memorable meal for us!

Yelp
After another long bicycle ride, rewarding myself with Tacos and (Craft) Beer, two of my favorite things. My second visit to Oceanside in as many weeks, Craft Coast clocked in as my 19th brewery I've visited during my Summer Vacation, home from China. Epic location, good beer, great food all wrapped up like a Mulita with welcoming service, this hit the spot Local and authentic, Craft Coast is not to be missed if you're passing through O'side on a bicycle, rickshaw, or camel...

Yelp
I went here for the first time and had such an amazing experience. My order was taken by Marco B. He was super kind, helpful, friendly , and knowledgeable! Once we got the food I couldn't believe how delicious it tasted you can definitely tell they use quality ingredients and they get the flavor just right. I will definitely be returning here and letting everyone know how amazing this restaurant is!

Katelyn M.

Yelp
This food was THE BOMB! The service was great. We sat at our table and scanned the QR code and they brought our food quick and hot. I loveee the vibes of this place. It's very chill but lively and fun. We got tacos and beer, what's better than that. And the tacos were amazing. The Al pastor and birria were to die for. They have different salsas to choose from on the side, and the creamy cilantro was so good! If I could come here everyday I would! Some of the best, or honestly maybe best, tacos I've ever had. WOW!

Yelp
Long time passer-by-er, first time try-er. This taco shop is always bustling in the heart of the touristy part of downtown Oceanside. It looked like a tourist trap, and I never really thought about going in until it was a holiday, and there were limited places open. To my surprise, it was really good! It was also very economical, which I didn't expect for its prime location. I got the taco bowl with Carne Asada. The Carne Asada was perfectly cooked with a nice char, and the accompanying grilled veggies, whole pinto beans, sliced avocado, and pico de gallo was a perfect meal. I left perfectly satisfied without feeling overstuffed. The beers on tap are really good as well. I tried both the Pilsner and Mexican Lager, both were easy drinking and went perfectly with the food. Order at the counter or via the QR codes at the tables. Self seating.

Yelp
Very busy Sat. afternoon- limited indoor and outdoor seating. Took a while for food - drinks served after placing order. Kombucha delicious, not too sweet. Birria tacos on point, plenty of meat and cheese. Nachos were okay - stand out was flavorful carne asada. Not a fan of paper plates- soaked up the birria juice and nacho cheese stuck to paper. Restrooms semi-clean but no soap in dispenser. No bueno. Will come again for tacos and kombucha.

Yelp
Really enjoyed eating here twice this week. Lunch hour wasn't too busy, and I loved the carne asada, pollo asado, and birria tacos. Drinks were also on-point. Service was great. Look forward to coming back next time I'm in Oceanside!

Yelp
Came to this little spot because of the great reviews. Was very disappointed with the service & food. There was no one to greet us as we walked in. Was a bit confused as to where to order. The food was very mid. I got the carne asada nachos and they were very salty. Also, there were no drinks on the menu. Strange concept.

Yelp
We haven't been here since 2021 when I first reviewed Craft Coast. Honestly back then my review was on-point but things have changed! Before they installed a solid overhead patio cover, if you had a table outside, you were held hostage to the sun's rays and during a hot summer it could be brutal. Now with a legit roof over our heads, the patio feels more like an extension of the inside of the restaurant and greatly adds to the comfortable seating capacity. We came with four people and finding a table was difficult but we got super lucky when a six-top became open right after we looped around the place looking for a place to sit. Just note that this place is popular and seating can be hard to come by. I did see people stand and wait for something to open up. You order by phone by scanning the QR code. What's nice is everyone at the table can order and pay independently. This is great for parties of adults and for families, you can still have one person do the ordering on their phone. Sublime Tap House next door has the same system. Once ordered and paid, the food is brought to your table quickly! Beer & wine are ordered at the front, which is a little awkward if there's a line. Not a lot of room. They should really move the drink orders to the phone as well so those that know exactly what they want can order without bumping into people near the register. The food was spectacular. Our first time here in 2021, we ordered the carne asada nachos and it was TINY. Not worth the money, but things have changed! Our nachos this time was a piling heap of food and only $10. A steal and big enough for two people easily. We also ordered the birria taco, carne asada taco, and the birria bowl. All spectacular. Note: they do have six different hot sauces at the front left side of the restaurant along with containers and lids. The sauces were all good. The best part of our experience was tipping. Unlike many other restaurants now that like to shove a Square terminal in your face and stare at you while you select the 20%, 25% or 30% tip options, this place does NOT do that. You tip through the app at your table...whatever you want. You also can tip when you order drinks and there are tip jars around if you want to throw a couple of bucks in. Absolutely no pressure. This makes me want to forget the other places and only come here TBH. So big ups to the team for making some wonderful changes. Best wishes and I hope you guys thrive (I heard you opened up a new location even).

Yelp
Came here for dinner and it was great! It's seat yourself and you can either order on your phone or at the bar. I got their Al pastor nachos which were SO good. My husband got a chicken bowl and an Al pastor taco and we agreed the pork was SO delicious. Good amount of food for the price you pay. Our server was kind, though they are more like food runners than actual servers. The whole place was a vibe, good music, cute decor and lights. And a seriously dangerous margarita that was amazing. The place was pretty busy, but still a fun atmosphere and quick service. We didn't have trouble finding free street parking but we also came on a Wednesday night. Highly recommend and would come back!

Yelp
The service was friendly and efficient. You walk up to the bar to order. I had a Mexican lager and it was very tasty! I had a pastor mulita very cheesy and flavorful! I shared the pollo asada nachos also very cheesy and so tasty! The salsas were good too, the chipotle and Serrano were my favorite. They have TVs inside and indoor / outdoor seating. It's a relaxed and casual place to grab a bite and a beer.

Yelp
My first time here with out of town guests and the great reviews made us decide to try it. Plus I want to support local businesses. It's a fun and lively place and everyone is in a great mood. You stand in line to order and can read the menu while standing. You're given a number and food is brought to your table. The wait was a bit much - from waiting in line to order to waiting for a table to waiting for your food. We were fortunate to get a table. I saw many without for a long time. We ordered Carne Asada tacos which were really good and two plates of nachos - Pollo Asado and carne Asada and salsas. Love the Carne but Pollo was overcooked and too many burnt pieces. We walked to the place so not sure about parking.

Yelp
Parking was kind of hard to find in the area on a Saturday unfortunately. I tasted a golden ale (I think) there and it was very good. I got the birria tacos and was kind of sad they didn't come with the broth you normally would get with birria but you had to buy it separately I found later. The outdoor seating is very nice and dog friendly there were a lot of dogs out. The service was quick and great and the area that it is located is nice if you want to walk around as well. Their guacamole was very delicious.

Yelp
Tacos, mulitias, nachos OH MY! Craft Coast Beer & Tacos is located next to the beach in Oceanside. They have a decent amount of seating inside and out. I called in an order for pick up this evening and they don't seem to start your order until you arrive which is best. I ordered two orders of carne asada nachos, a couple birria tacos, carne asada mulitas and a couple mexi-cokes to go. The order made it home still warm and fresh. The nacho chips were a bit more crispier than the birria tacos but everything was fresh and tasty. The carne asada is a great cut of meat typically not served in most taco shops. Marinated just right thick chunks and tasty. Meat of choice , white cheese, beans, sour cream, guacamole and salsa Fresca. Well worth the $10 cost, as it's all quality. The birria tacos were outstanding. A juicy birria meat packed taco lined with white cheese. Tasty and juicy. The Mikita was also great with a good amount of meat and cheese in between two corn tortillas . They also have great salsas to choose from. Green avocado salsa ( spicy), a creamy cilantro salsa ( white ) and a couple rojo salsas one mild and one hot . Will definitely be back when I get that taco/mexican food itch.

Yelp
So! I worked a camp in Carlsbad and I decided to find a place to dine alone before home. My go to... Mexican. So I settled in on this place. I am so glad I did. Greeted by "Day Day" when I entered smiling, welcoming and greeted me at the bar. I took a minute scanning the table QR code to order. I met Amanda and I had a few testers of the beer to decide. (1st. Sunset Market | Watermelon Prickly Pear.) it was good, but not what I was looking for. Amanda made sure I had a few to try, the LA PILZ had a good taste but the one I chose was the Agua Baja Mexican Lager. So good! While waiting I ordered the spicy carrots... definitely a win to buy and pair with your beer while waiting for your order. Then my tacos came, (3) extra crunchy birria tacos with a cup of consume. I enjoyed every bite! One taco in I was offered a tester of the SEASTAR Beer! It was so good! If I could drink more than one beer I would have gotten this. To be safe and drink responsibility I will remember the SEASTAR on my next visit. I was seated by Johnny. I thought he was a patron but he worked there and was just off the clock. I share that because that's how cool the atmosphere is you want to stay. Even the staff stays! lol! Hopefully you can enjoy a chill day like I did. Treated like the queen I am. I hear it gets crazy some times waiting to order and eat... if you come on one of those days... WAIT!!!! It's worth it! Thank you for a wonderful experience. I will be back and I'll bring my family next time.
