Are These London Restaurants Worth The Hype? - London - The Infatuation

"The Verdict: This Soho sandwich shop leans more burger, and we’re definitely not complaining. The only thing that separates Crunch’s sandwiches from a really good burger are thick slices of brioche, instead of buns. But it works: fillings like beef patties with truffle mayo and crispy onions blend into the brioche toast with every bite, and makes for an outstanding meal. Lean on this Soho spot’s chrome counter and watch heaped spoonfuls of purple caramelised onion being swiped across the toast, while you wait desperately for your number to be called out." - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak, jake missing, heidi lauth beasley

"The only thing that separates Crunch’s sandwiches from a really good burger are thick slices of brioche, instead of buns. But it works. Fillings like beef patties with truffle mayo and crispy onions melt into the brioche toast with every bite. This Dean Street spot only has around 10 seats, but the turnaround is fast and the patty melt is so good that we’d happily eat one of these standing in the street." - jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna, daisy meager

Where To Eat Lunch In Soho - London - The Infatuation

"Technically, you can sit-in at Crunch. But the Dean Street spot is so narrow and busy—and the burger-like sandwiches so thick and decadent—that it's better for everyone if you take yours to go. Our favourite menu is the Patty Melt. Think beef patties with truffle mayo and crispy onions that soak into the brioche toast with every bite." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna

Crunch’s sandwiches are great, but know they lean more burger - Review - London - The Infatuation

The patties are thin and buttery, and the cheese is gooey and melted. And that caramelised onion? A game-changer. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Michaels Chicken This is a great fried chicken sandwich. It’s got all the components of a McChicken, but is way better. We’re fans of the pickles, but we’d appreciate more aioli. Ask for that, or the hot sauce on the side for dipping. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Buffalo Cauliflower We’re big fans of this vegetarian one. The deep-fried cauliflower is good, but it’s the ranch coleslaw that makes it great. And if you get more of that buffalo sauce on the side, it’s even better. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch" - Rianne Shlebak

Amazing spot in Soho with such good vibes! It was really busy when we went, but we still managed to get seating. We tried the Patty Melt (absolute 10/10!), Michael’s Chicken (so flavourful), and the Lasagna Bites — perfect as a side snack. The sandwiches are super fresh, and the bread is just incredible. Definitely coming back again!

I stopped by Crunch on Dean Street and was genuinely impressed. The food was fantastic—starting with the Michael’s Chicken Sandwich, which was absolutely phenomenal. The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender, and practically melted in my mouth. I also tried the Mighty Steak Sandwich, and it did not disappoint—packed with flavor and satisfying in every bite. To top it off, their homemade peach iced tea struck the perfect balance of sweetness and flavour—refreshing without being overpowering. I’m already planning my next visit to try the Patty Melt Sandwich!

Having heard great things about this restaurant, I was looking forward to grabbing a meal from here. Sadly, it turned into a disappointing dinner. To start with the good, the lasagna bites were extremely tasty. Crispy exterior and a rich filling of lasagna sheets, it paired well with the honey sauce provided. The staff were also really friendly which I greatly appreciated. The chicken sandwich, however, was mediocre at best. The bread was extremely oily/buttery and difficult for me to finish without feeling sick. In addition, the chicken was pretty bland, an unremarkable patty sandwiched between the aforementioned bread. The Patty Melt I wanted to try was sold out on the day I visited, and I should have just left instead of trying another sandwich. While their other sandwiches might be good, I don’t foresee myself coming back here so I’ll never know!

Second time visiting crunch, it did not disappoint. The flavours are mastered to a T. It has been consistently good, the two times I’ve visited. They have a very efficient system and the food is ready in minutes. One of the best sandwiches I’ve tasted.

These guys have truly revolutionised the sandwich! We had "Michael's Chicken" and "Mighty Steak" sandwiches and they were both excellent. Not only are the combination of ingredients and flavours perfectly balanced, the perfect amount of sauce that never overflows out, was an absolute marvel. The service is quick and polite. If only there was more seating area, that would just elevate the experience. In any case, I'll be returning for sure.

The food was average for me, it was overly greasy. I hope they pay more attention to cleanliness, as I noticed the staff working without hair covers. Also, the frying smell in the restaurant is quite strong — if they improve the ventilation and overall cleanliness, the place would be much better.

Best sandwiches in London! Amazing bread, tasty fillings, and Carla’s lobster is a must-try. Patty melt and Michael are the second best. Worth every penny. Super friendly staff too.

It’s a standard toasted sandwich shop. We ordered the Michael’s chicken (5/10) and the steak sandwich (8.6/10). The steak sandwich was cooked well, with crispy edges and still juicy. However, the Michael’s chicken was pretty underwhelming. It was tasty but was missing a certain flavour element. We also got the pepperoni lasagne bites (5/10) which the lasagne sheets were over cooked and the honey it came with was way too sweet, needed a hot honey instead.
