This food was amazing! Wasn’t too hot, but tasted fantastic. I got the butter chicken and naan bread. Highly recommend if you even think you like Indian food!

Kierstyn Myers

Google
I mean, if you know you know. Curry in a Hurry, the name might make you think the curry is quick so it's low quality but you would be wrong! The curry made here is amazing, flavorful, and made with love! The chef here is cranking out dishes that she wouldn't serve to you if she wouldn't feed it to her own family. All the slices are roasted in house, each dish packed with love. The meals here will have you coming back for more! I highly highly recommend the chicken Kati and the butter chicken. Both were immaculate! I'll definitely be coming back here for more food!

Google
Walking through the food hall and the aroma of Indian spices pulled me in. Unfortunately the butter chicken did not taste as good as it smelled. Compared to all the other Indian restaurants I have been too, Curry in a Hurry is on the low side of the middle. It was just missing the full developed flavor of roasted herbs. Almost comparable to butter chicken from a jar from the grocery store. My naan was burnt on the bottom and didn’t taste very fresh. It had that, heated up in the microwave the next day, texture and flavor. But I agree with the others, it is a good size portion… of mediocre food.

Ian Prince

Google
It’s a decent sized portion of mediocre food. Got a lamb curry and wife got a butter chicken curry. We both agreed we would have rather spent $34 on Trader Joe’s microwave Indian meal and then also be able to get naan and dessert and drinks for the same price.

Google
I have loved Curry in a Hurry's food since the beginning when they were just a food truck! The spices and flavors always deliver and satisfy my Indian cuisine cravings. I especially love their chana masala, paneer kathi rolls, and bite-sized samosas. Have also ordered their catering for an event and received numerous compliments from attendees. Their staff at all their locations are super friendly and have prepared my food fresh every time I've ordered. Also love that they are now available for ordering online for delivery. Definitely among the very best fast-casual Indian places in the Triangle and my favorite stall at Morgan St. Food Hall.

Lyn CR.

Google
Excellent butter chicken! Perfect amount of spice & good portions for the regular size. Unrelated to the food, but I also appreciate the cashier being so patient when I was ordering (as it is a bit difficult to hear when the food hall is crowded). I very much appreciated the help. Will definitely be back.

David Rodriguez

Google
This Indian food is sub-par. I tried the Lamb Curry today and they gave me meat chunks on a bed of rice. There was ZERO curry in my dish. It was bland, dry, and NOT spicy in the least bit. If you like spicy Indian food STEER CLEAR of this place.

Google
Very good well balanced butter chicken. Not inherently the “most flavorful” but it is not a slap of butter in the face which I found to be delightful. Pair the curry with a garlic nann for the most optimal balance of flavors. They deserve all the praise and awards they have collected. Will be returning soon!

Yelp
Now this is one food truck that we have seen in many places, events , food festivals. Finally ,we tried food when we saw them in parking lot of a cricket match between MI New york and Seattle Orcas in Morrisville. Obviously huge lines. We ordered couple of chicken and Paneer Kathi rolls along with some samosas. Samosas were hot but seemed reheated/refried. Kathis rolls tasted Ah-Ok. Food was way overpriced probably due to Game , location and demand but for money to portion to taste ratio, i guess i would choose a different food truck next time.

Tonya W.

Yelp
Be careful they act like their computer goes down then tell youto use the kiosk and they charge you from both then wont credit you back for one! The food is good but worth paying twice for it.

Tracy P.

Yelp
We got butter chicken and it was delicious!! They were so quick at giving us the food. You can get a small or regular price. There was so much chicken provided! I was very impressed with the amount of chicken. Maybe that is why the price is higher? Excellent customer service and located inside of the Morgan Street Food Hall. If you are craving curry, I highly recommend!

Andrew L.

Yelp
Good and fast Indian curry served with Basmati, located in Morgan street food hall The order: Butter chicken The good: Fast service Sizable portions and plenty of protein in the meal. Grab and go Tap to Pay The bad: -a bit tad pricey for just curry and rice -not a balanced diet

Caroline D.

Yelp
Too many peppers and onions in the lamb nannwich. Was about 20 dollars with tip and tax but was only really worth 12 dollar's realistically. Good sandwich and was enjoyed but not 20$ good. Service was fine. Ambiance of the food hall is very nice with outdoor seating and free water.

Ashleigh F.

Yelp
@curryinahurrync - y'all. I am southern as it comes but when I ate a bite of this I was happier than a possum' eatin' a sweet tater. Please go try them. The most genuine guy ever running the back. They are located in Raleigh and one at the food hall in Selma/smithfiled. #yelp #yelpelite #yelptriangle #localfoods #supportlocal

Yelp
When it comes to good curry, this is one of few spots you want to turn to. The head chef, here is an award-winning chef, who knows all of the best practices when it comes down to Curry. I know for a fact that this location imports, their spices, and the taste and quality is very authentic to what you get in India. Love the service that we get at the Morgan St., Food Hall location as the team is always prompt, alert, and get our order right every time.

Alicia M.

Yelp
Fast service and generous portions of delicious Indian food! Not what I expected at a food hall, but SO glad I came in. Also they always have a smile and great customer service! The seating area is clean and modern. Restrooms are large and very clean. The staff takes pride in their work area as much as the food.

Brittany C.

Yelp
I highly enjoyed this place. Food was great and I was able to sample before buying. I will def be going h back to try the Lamb.

Vanessa G.

Yelp
This review is only based on the samosas. They were little mini ones which I had hope would be a great snack but they weren't :(. The service was nice and friendly and the dining area is spacious.

Alex B.

Yelp
The wife and I made a stop at the Morgan Street Food Hall before the Hurricanes game, as it's one of our favorite places to go prior to a Hockey game, especially when we want a good selection of food but don't have a specific craving. Curry in a Hurry is actually one of only two places I have yet to try, and boy did it deliver! They totally live up to the name. They don't have anyone working the register, but instead have a big screen that you can place your order on, while the majority of the staff is in the kitchen cooking. Their setup is super efficient and you end up getting your food in only a few minutes. Awesome! Now the food itself is freaking delicious, and I say this as a total Indian food snob. The Butter Chicken melts in your mouth, the curry itself is unique and tasty and the naan is literally to die for. Not often that naan steals the show but it was that good. This spot has quickly catapulted into my top 3 of places at Morgan Street Food Hall. Verdict: Curry in a Hurry lives up to its name, but also delivers incredible flavor for a solid price. If you're yet to try this spot at the food hall, make this your next stop! Rating: 5

Yelp
We went to the location in Selma NC located inside a food hall. Honestly , we were blown away I ordered the lamb curry . The lamb was amazing ! Very tender . I couldn't finish it. It came with a garlic naan . My husband had the chicken coconut curry . It was excellent , spicy but not overbearing .

Jack L.

Yelp
You gotta come here with an American Indian food mindset as opposed to an Indian restaurant. Having that lens will properly adjust your expectations I think. The butter chicken curry bowl didn't pack the punch that it should have and really felt like a watered down lunch version for busy people. This shouldn't be my first pick as an Indian restaurant in the area, but not a bad pick if you're in a rush.

Lance B.

Yelp
Had the Green Curry at the Louisberg Balloon Festival from their food truck. It was absolutely fantastic! Great flavor and perfect heat! Can't wait to get it again.

Saloni T.

Yelp
Overall average. Tried the Paneer Kati Roll (only a weekend menu item). Surprisingly too colorful and not very appetizing. Maybe the masala had added color. Taste wise - okay. The roti was fantastic though. Not bad but also not something I would go back to. Service was good. No complaints.

Vivienne C.

Yelp
Decided to try this place out while at Morgan Street Food Hall and was honestly extremely impressed by how good the curry was. We got the Butter Chicken and I really appreciated how much tomato flavor there was in the dish and how tender the chicken was. Also one of my biggest pet peeves about curry is when the curry to rice ratio is too large so it feels too heavy, but the ratio in this dish was perfect. Two people could comfortably eat this dish as the portion sizes were huge. Overall, would definitely come back when in Morgan Street Food Hall. And honestly, so impressed by this food hall in general where all the food is very delicious, haven't had a bad meal here yet.

Kevin U.

Yelp
We were at the location in the Old North State food court in Selma. The lamb curry and butter chicken curry bowls were delicious. Service was quick and courteous. Will definitely eat there again.

Kellie D.

Yelp
First time at Curry in a Hurry. We both ordered the regular size portion of the Green Chicken Curry. Wow, was it delicious! Generous portions, quick, hot, fresh and just the right amount of kick. Can't wait to go back and try another dish.

Jess F.

Yelp
Not my first time eatting here...Curry in a Hurry is normally my go to at Morgan Street. Service was good....would have been nice to have a fountain drink but pretty much everything was "not a winner today." The other odd thing was I wasn't served basmati rice but regular white rice and it was over cooked and mushy. The garlic naan was definitely the winner today. My butter chicken....meh. White rice, really?

Karen G.

Yelp
Great food, amazing owners!!! Cooked to order, never had anything from Curry that was not correct.

Shannon W.

Yelp
I love this place! Definitely one of the strongest vendors at Morgan Street. There is a bit of a wait (7-10 minutes) but it's worth it. The butter chicken meat was tender and the sauce is amazing, plus the portion is huge (think Chipotle bowl) - it was only warm though, I wish it was piping hot! The rest of the food was warm and great though like the delicious naan and Kati roll. I love love love the chicken Kati roll- the bread they use is an amazing buttery but flaky crust similar to a scallion pancake and it's filled with an aromatic blend of peppers, vegetables and chicken. I haven't found this in other Indian restaurants so it really stands out on Curry in a Hurry's menu. Will definitely be visiting this booth again!

Emma T.

Yelp
This is the best Indian in the area. The koti roll is EXCEPTIONAL. I cannot recommend this place enough! Go today!

Art D.

Yelp
Ordered chana masala and naan from the food truck tonight. Sooo good! The chana was bright and full of flavor, served on top of fluffy basmati rice. The naan was soft, hot, buttery and perfect. I can't wait to try another curry item next time I'm at Morgan food hall.

Kresha A.

Yelp
Fast, friendly, and delicious. I will definitely eat here again and again! You will not regret it.

C Y.

Yelp
Poor service. No one at counter to claim order tickets. Almost didn't get my food. Not going back.

Stephanie J.

Yelp
Food Truck Time: Curry in a Hurry at Fainting Goat Brewing We were looking for a snack to hold us over before dinner so we ordered the Garlic Naan and Mini-Samosas. For a total of $6 this satisfied our appetites. Both of these were excellent choices, I really liked the date chutney that was served with the samosas. Friendly owners, can't wait to try this truck out again soon to try a few other options.

Lalitha V.

Yelp
I have been waiting to try out this food truck since last week after finding it on Yelp. Being a vegetarian I wanted to try out the Paneer Tikka Kati Roll and Naanwich and finally got to taste them today. If you are a vegetarian you will have to call ahead to try their Paneer Tikka Kati roll since they usually don't have it as a regular item on the menu. The only vegetarian item they always have is Channa Masala. I called the owner Alaksha and she very nicely asked me to text her so that she can let me know whenever she has the Paneer Kati Roll and Paneer Naanwich on the menu. And as promised she texted today saying she will be making them tonight and she will be parked at Mason Jar Lager Company in Fuquay Varina. Yay! Now the food - Omg! It was super yum! Perfect spice level for us and the kids. We tried all of the Vegetarian options available - MinI Vegetable Samosas for sides and they were piping hot and super yum! The Paneer Tikka Kati roll and the Paneer Naanwich were very tasty and my younger kid loved the Channa Masala. Overall fantastic service, and awesome food. I will be going back very often :-D

Yelp
Curry in a Hurry? YES PLEASE! Any time I'm in Raleigh, I'm going to head straight to Curry in a Hurry for some butter chicken (and I'll pick up crispy, delicious garlic naan for my brother in perpetuity as a "thank you" for introducing me to this place). The small portion was the PERFECT size for me, the spice blend was mild yet aromatic, the rice was cooked well, and the chicken was beautifully cooked! Plus the FoH staff was sweet and their pager system effective. All in all, delish & easy.

Maura V.

Yelp
This is my second time at Morgan Street Food Hall (MSFH), but my first time at Curry in a Hurry. We came in on a Sunday around 2p and MSFH was very crowded. We we able to find a seat inside though. I ordered a chicken kati roll and garlic naan. Let me just start by saying I had garlic naan for the first time in Seattle and I have never been able to find a naan that light and fluffy, until now. We were given a small pager similar to the Panera Bread set up. I waited for about 15 min, which is longer than I expected for street food, but when it came out I was more than satisfied with the quality. The flavor of the kati was so rich and pungent, exactly what you'd expect from Indian cuisine. The naan though. It was AMAZING. Will definitely come back for more garlic naan.

Jae M.

Yelp
This place is so good & the owner is so sweet. My group winded up here after a failed birthday dinner and the owner was so sweet and accommodating on top of the food being bomb. Can't wait to visit again!

Leslie H.

Yelp
Recently my husband and I enjoyed a spicy lunch date at Curry in A Hurry. We learned that Chef Alaksha Surt hails from Bangalore, India and combines authentic Indian spices with fresh, quality ingredients to cook her curry dishes. We ordered the Butter Chicken, their signature dish, and Green Chicken Curry. The Butter Chicken was described to us as the starter dish for those unfamiliar with curry. The flavorful chicken is so tender and melts in your mouth like butter. It's mild spice makes it a great introduction to Indian cuisine. We enjoyed every tasty bite of this dish. Love a little spice in your life? Then the Green Curry Chicken is your dish. For those of us who enjoy Thai food, you will enjoy how Curry in a Hurry prepares theirs. From the rice, to the green curry sauce the quality of the fresh ingredients does not get lost. Head to Curry in a Hurry to enjoy a taste of India (and Thailand too) with the amazing flavors and spice used in their curry chicken dishes. They also offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options too!

JaDee W.

Yelp
This place was so good. We got the lamb vindaloo and it was incredible. The guy at the counter was so excited to get us to try his food and was even more excited when we went adventurous with trying the lamb. The meat was super moist and flavorful. The rice was cooked PERFECTLY and added a really nice touch to the lamb. Out of all the places in Morgan street food hall I think this is my absolute favorite. The service is great, food is great, and the price is amazing considering how much food you get.

Diamond H.

Yelp
Always a wonderful experience and amazing food. The Garlic Naan is to die for and the flavors are intense.

Maria U.

Yelp
Morgan food hall is awesome because it is basically a mini food court in downtown Raleigh. I enjoy going there for lunch since I only work two blocks away from it. I went to Curry in a Hurry for lunch and got their butter chicken and garlic naan. I love Indian food and was so excited to try my dish but I was very disappointed. My rice was watered down. I literally had a good bit of water in my bowl. The chicken was okay but cold and didn't have as much sauce as I would have liked. I can say the garlic naan was delicious. The girl at the register was very sweet however It didn't make up for the food experience. It was definitely not worth the $17 I spent on one meal item. I hear that the food truck is much better than the restaurant area at Morgan Street Food Hall. Not sure if I'll go back again after this experience.

Jesica V.

Yelp
OH! MY! GOSH!! When I tell you this place was PURE perfection in EVERY way!!!!! First off, it took walking through the entire food court before finally deciding I'd give this spot a try with my husband....now while we waited for our food (wasn't long at all) we unfortunately had some disgraceful food that had the audacity to be called an empanada...but that's a story for another time. Curry in a Hurry delivered all the heavenly bliss to eradicate the sin that had touched my taste buds. If only we made the food last long enough to take some pictures, but it was that amazing! I HIGHLY recommend going here and checking them out. Neither my husband or myself were disappointed in the quality and taste of our food. You won't be sorry!

Ann C.

Yelp
Yo their lamb naanwich is amazing!!!! Seems to be a family owned business too which I love to support. Great food! You can taste the love they put into their food. It takes a little extra time to prepare which is how you know it's great food not fast food. Thanks! Will be back again and again. My one wish is that they sold mango lassi!

Ryan G.

Yelp
Soooo good! I'm a long time reader, first time reviewer on Yelp... it's that yummy I had to finally voice my opinion.

Kimberly K.

Yelp
Wow, we were so very pleased with the food from Curry in a Hurry! They came to our retreat way back in the woods and drove thru lots of rough terrain to provide us with our delicious food. Everyone was so happy with the flavorful healthy food and we have new friends as well! Thanks so much Curry in a Hurry. Till next time!!

Jbear F.

Yelp
Came across this great food truck at Trophy Brewing Co taproom on Maywood. Everyone enjoyed their food and thought the flavor was spot on with a nice amount of spice without going overboard. Everything had the exact amount of protein to Curry to rice ratio. The butter chicken was great and so was the green Curry. Not pictured is the equally delicious lamb curry. We will definitely be looking for this truck to frequent it.

Ras A.

Yelp
I was really pumped to try Curry in a Hurry so I headed down to the Morgan Street Food Hall. I ended up ordering the butter chicken along with a plain naan and a soft drink. To my utter shock my bill came out to be $20.46!!! ($13.95 for butter chicken, $2.95 for naan, $2.00 for drink +tax) The plain naan was really good but barely larger than the palm of my hand, and the platter itself wasn't large enough to justify the amount I had just paid. The chicken was a bit rubbery, however, in terms of flavor it was good, actually, it was very good but not amazing. The lady at the counter who took my order was very friendly and sweet, however, that's not enough of a reason for me to go back in the future.

Sig H.

Yelp
Butter Chicken Curry is amazing!!! Best I've ever had and now that's all I order. Definitely check it out!!! Sig

Nancy T.

Yelp
This is one of many in a food hall in Raleigh. A hard choice, but I was in the mood for spicy. Had the chicken curry and it was just the right enough flavor, not quite enough to make me sweat, but let me know I was eating something other than Micky D's. (Yuck) The woman at the counter serving me was extremely pleasant. I had an order of garlic naan too and not quite enough garlic, but that is probably me. I only had water and they gave me a plastic glass so small, I started to laugh but refrained. I know, they would like you to purchase a beverage. I only drink water or beer with Tai and Indian.

Ariadne H.

Yelp
Great. Had the green curry chicken. Service was fast, food in clean, rice was fresh. Would recommend

Megan L.

Yelp
Props to this place for their customer service. One of my friends had to wait a long time (more than 20 mins) for a simple curry chicken dish, which was decidedly not in a hurry. However, they kindly gave her a $10 off coupon, which inadvertently provided me with a second dinner. While the curry flavoring itself was good, the chicken was a bit dry and their menu was limited.

Melanie M.

Yelp
I went to Morgan Street Food Hall and typically try to go somewhere new each time. I walked by curry in a hurry because there wasn't a really long line, so that made me nervous since it was really busy. I ended up deciding to try it out and it was SO good. I ordered the Butter Chicken and two orders of garlic naan. The only reason I dropped to four stars is because of the wait. I had to wait about 15-20 minutes, which is a long time in my opinion for the food hall. The woman at the register informed me after about five minutes they were working on making a new batch of rice. I wish she would've just told me up front because I ended up just standing around and waiting and I could've sat down because they give out buzzers. The rice was ready not too long after, but there were like ten orders ahead of mine. Ask about how long I it will take if you go, but the flavors were awesome and I'd def go again!

Andrew P.

Yelp
I got the butter chicken and garlic naan, while my friend went for the green curry, garlic naan, and samosas. Overall, food quality was pretty decent, not something I'll write home. The samosas were quite tasty and adorably bite sized. Garlic naan was also lovely. Butter chicken was above average. My friend said the green curry reminded him of Thai. Would try again for some other dishes, but I wouldn't stalk its location just yet.

Stanley K.

Yelp
Portion is a bit small and the price is a bit high, but the taste is so on par. Ordered lamb curry several times and they are always consistent and the spice level is also high, which I love.

George C.

Yelp
Love the butter chicken here with Jasmine rice. Easy in and out and their to go containers made from recycled materials and kids with a plant-based plastic is really cool.
