CUT at 45 Park Lane

"This sumptuous restaurant on the ground floor of the 45 Park Lane Hotel comes with moody décor, rich red leather backed seating and Damien Hirst artwork. Some of the best steaks in London – including British, imported USDA prime beef and Japanese Wagyu – are on offer alongside a premium wine list." - Michelin Inspector

London’s Best Thanksgiving Dinners for 2019 | Eater London

"For Thanksgiving this year, Wolfgang Puck’s CUT at 45 Park Lane is offering a traditional three-course feast as well as a twist to its American-themed afternoon tea. Expect classic Thanksgiving flavours to dominate such as pumpkin in the form of cake pops, along with maple and bacon macaron and more, at £55 per person."

London’s Best Steak Restaurants | Where to Eat Steak in London | Eater London

"CUT is for high-rollers who like beef. A blisteringly uncivil combination on any given day. Here is a menu that features the widest (and most expensive) selection of both Australian and Japanese Wagyu beef in London. Prices top out at £160 for a rib-eye from the Kyushu prefecture. Being broadly American and with chef Wolfgang Puck’s name above the door, there’s a range of USDA kit too. And, well, since it’s in London, it serves a comparatively (by its own standards, and for Park Lane) affordable £45 6oz Hereford beef fillet with a choice of salads." - Adam Coghlan

Fantastic dining experience, with some of the best steak cuts you can get in London, full of flavour and just melts in your mouth. They don't skimp out on the steak sizes either. The seafood options were surprisingly good too, with the lobster coming in a generous portion with claws included. Service throughout was wonderful, very friendly and attentive. It is an expensive restaurant but worth the experience given the quality and location.

Google
A perfect restaurant to celebrate a momentous occasion. Atmosphere and service is impeccable and the attention to detail makes for a splendid night. On the pricey side but worth it if you’re commemorating a special occasion. One of the best steak dishes I’ve had in London. We ordered the Australian Wagyu Steak (Halal) Dishes we tried - Housemade Tagiatelle with blue Lobster ***** - Grilled black tiger prawns **** - wild field mushrooms with Japanese shishito peppers **** - ribeye steak (Australian wagyu) ***** (not a fan of the steak sauce on the tangy side) - chocolate soufflé **** - spicy tuna tartare cones **** - wagyu sliders *** (cold but our fault for talking too much) Thank you Kofi for making our evening truly special!

The best steakhouse in London, I’ve been to CUTS all over the world and this one has always been the best, we were greeted at the door by a lovely lady, very friendly, we waited in the lobby because we were early a lady brought out popcorn and olives both were tasty. We were then shown to our table by our amazing server Raphael, we ordered our food and it came out very fast, the scallops and the asparagus was amazing, then our steaks came out perfect medium and all of our sides were delicious. Raphael surprised me with a fudge brownie which is not on the menu and he took our two espressos off the bill. Overall 10/10 every time we are in London we make it a thing of coming here. The service makes it so much better than a lot of other places it’s classy and effortless.

Went to CUT at 45 Lane for dinner. Steak was cooked well, tasted amazing, and the restaurant looks the part. Clean, upscale, and clearly aiming for fine dining. But the portions were way too small for the price. Steak came alone. No sides, no extras, just meat. It felt lazy. For how much they charge, they should be doing more. Seating was cramped. Not much room to sit across from someone comfortably. That’s not what I expect from a place with this kind of reputation.

This is one of London’s most exquisite dining experiences. The setting is modern, elegant and stately. Celebrities are seen here regularly. But it’s the service that is absolutely flawless. From the wait staff at the entrance of the restaurant to the waiters and sommelier, staff here are the best in their field. We loved the sommelier who was happy to give us multiple tastings of wine and to tantalise us with her enormous global wine knowledge. The food here is exceptional. We were there on a hot June evening so the yellow tail, truffle ponzu, pickled wasabi and ginger was the perfect starter: the flavours are an incredible blend of fresh, citrus and smooth. The big eye yellowfin tuna tartare was also super fresh, clean and a delicious dish. The bread selection was a course in itself-bread was served on a board, plus bread bites in a basket. And premium butters to enjoy as welll. We had to have steaks for our main, and selected an American and a UK rib eye to compare the flavours. I loved seeing the meats pre aged at the table. Something elegantly old fashioned about that tradition. There were more than 12 sides, and the bone marrow was out of this world. A whole bowl of marrow! The steaks were extraordinary and perfect to cooked, presented and dare I say, CUT :) The sides of salad, spinach, potatoes and more were amazing too. It was a huge and decadent meal, but wonderful. The dark chocolate soufflé is heavenly, as is the banana cream pie. We absolutely loved this dining experience and did not want it to end.

I'm telling you the bread and butter in this place is something else. I would be satisfied just to eat that for the whole meal. Oh and the steak was good too. I ordered the £68 1970's Wenge Loose Raw Pu Erh (😂), it was like drinking lukewarm water from the sea but without the salt.

Google
Had a Friday night dinner here, just two of us, in late July 2025. Lovely setting, the restaurant is a really nice space to be in. Food was lovely as you would expect. We both had the UK Ribeye, which was cooked really well and some sides. Extensive wine list, we tried the Baron Edmond de Rothschild, Sauvignon Blanc, Rimapere plot 101, Marlborough, which was absolutely lovely. Good service as well, great bread, all good. Be aware its not cheap and you will pay a high price though. Plus they add service charge, then ask you to add a Tip, which I did not like.

Google
The perfect dining experience, the staff could not be more pleasant and attentive to the perfect degree, the food is unparalleled in quality and taste, the best steak I have ever eaten. Yes it’s very expensive but completely worth it.

Yelp
Amazing Food, Wonderful Service, & the ambience is spectacular! It is a must to visit and I recommend the A5 Wagyu ribeye!

Yelp
The service, hospitality and staff were very good. But, the ambience and environment feels exactly what this restaurant is, a hotel restaurant. The food was also underwhelming and not worth the premium cost. Putting the nice presentation of the food aside, you can get the same or better quality of cooking for half the price. Based on the other reviews, people enjoy the experience here and that's great. For me the food was a let down and below average. Steak is hard to get wrong, but they did in my single experience.

Yelp
If you truly want to be treated like royalty you have found your destination. This is one of if not the best restaurants that London has to offer. The decor is pure elegance warm and inviting featuring world renowned art work and details such as baccarat crystal glassware with select beverages for example. Excellence resonates in all aspects of food, beverage, service and presentation. For example a tea program that is second to none a experiential experience into the world of finer teas. A beautiful cheese cart with the best selections to start or finish you dinner. In the bar a Negroni cart that offers only the finest ingredients. The dining room and bar menu have everything that you may desire served to you by a gracious worldly staff of professionals. Tonight I enjoyed: arancini, tuna cones with caviar, steak tartare on toast points, wagu sliders, crab stuffed brioche, braised beef ribs, tuna tartare, selection of three steaks; Angus Prime, wagu Australia, wagu Japan, broccoli, mashed potatoes, French fries, sautéed mushrooms and a dessert of. Eight courses in all. When a meal is this pleasing you never want to stop devouring. This is what kings and Queens dined on food and drink that did more than satisfy your hunger thus your soul as well...well done!

Yelp
Steak melts in your mouth. Foie Gras on top, and Bone marrow! A definite must if you're in London!

Yelp
This is EXACTLY what you want from a steakhouse. Request the tuna cones. Even the bread and breadsticks are amazing. Best service of any restaurant we went to in London.

Yelp
I can say only that everything there is just amazing! Fresh, tasty, accurate, good atmosphere, excellent staff... Worth it to visit!

Yelp
We came here with high expectations. The location is prime, at the luxurious 45 Park Lane Hotel which is part of the Dorchester group. CUT is a steakhouse from celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck and they have several locations in different parts of the world. The interior and decor is modern, stylish and yet warm with a relaxing atmosphere. Service is excellent, attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Their wine list is extensive, covering all parts of the world. The wines in general are overpriced, at least 3.5 - 4 times of what you'd pay at wine shops. Bread selection is great, try the cheese brioche and the pretzel bread. In general the food menu is extensive, with a good selection of refined appetisers. The star of course is their beef! You can choose between local, US, Australian Wagyu as well as Japanese Kagoshima Wagyu. All come in different cuts and sizes. For the sauces and side dishes they have the classic selection. I'd try their creamed spinach and their fries. The steaks are cooked to perfection, the meat in general is juicy and tender. Still in all honesty I totally missed the "Wow" factor. The food is generally good but not outstanding. You are spending at least 100 pound per person, depending on your selection of wine. For this price I would have expected much more. I probably won't return.

Yelp
I'm speechless right now . Really wonderful I like the Japan one ! I can't tell how soft it was ! Tried 3 types of the steak ~ Japanese is the best ' trust me .

Yelp
This restaurant served the second best steak I've had in my life. I eat steak almost weekly and enjoy fine meat. The evening was perfect until we were asked to "leave" because they needed the table for the next guests. We found this quite funny because they were set to close in an hour. We had 5 in our party and our bill was nearly $850usd (£650 gbp). I happily paid the entire bill and left. We travelled from the USA and wanted to have a good night with our local friends. After going to nearby bar we realized there were no "other guests" and they simply wanted us to leave. Very disappointed and I hope others read this and decide to give their business to another establishment who is willing to host them. The place was not busy and tables around us remained empty the entire evening. I hope management reads this and adjusts accordingly...

Yelp
How impeccable the food is goes without saying.... But the staff was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to accommodate my gluten allergy! The gluten free bread was the best I have ever had and the sliders, for which they made a gluten free version of for me, were jaw dropping! I

Yelp
My wife and I went to CUT for a belated Valentines Day dinner and treated ourselves royally. You can see their dinner menu online, so there should be no surprises on what the price expectations are. We enjoyed two cocktails at the bar upstairs, which were delicious and definitely not your normal cocktails.Perfected by a small truffle cheese sandwich (the chef's welcome of the day) and by small, I mean like a quarter or third of a bite (which is good as we were there for dinner...). Then we went downstairs to our table which was located at the end of the restaurant in a booth type setting (a picture of it is on their facebook). The pictures on the wall, the decor in the room and on the table, the lighting and the background music were perfect, subtle, yet noticeable but not dominant. Our appetizers (burrata salad and tuna tartar) were very good. For mains, we both had their taster so we each had 4oz of USDA Prime black angus and South Devon Angus each as well as Australian Waguy (2oz). If you are into it, do get the bone marrow. My wife was excited how much bone marrow she got. We shared the creamed spinach and crispy potatoes which was more than enough for the both of us. The desserts, a white chocolate passion fruit baked alaska and salted caramel brownie with white chocolate sorbet were the perfect ending to a perfect dinner. CUT has a vast wine selection of US, French, Italian and many other countries' wines and for all prices ranges. The service was impeccable, the waiters were attentive and left nothing to chance. The meat presentation in the towels is very stylish and even suitable for the non-meat eaters in your group. All in all, if you want to forget everything else around you and just enjoy a wonderful evening while feeling like royalty, go to CUT.

Yelp
I'm giving it a five for the Risotto. It's so hard to get good risotto. Nine times out of ten it's bad so it is a thrill to take the chance and get a phenomenal dish. As an appetizer the portion was WAY to big but because I loved it I was thrilled. The restaurant is charging for location and maybe the name to excess (e.g. 90 pounds for an Australian filet - 6 miserable ounces) but I have to admit EVERYTHING our table of six ordered was excellent. You might need to take out a mortgage to pay the bill but if your a foodie it was probably worth it !

Yelp
In Vegas I went to Wolfgang Puk's place at the MGM, when I discovered he owned in London this place I was convinced to make a reservation altough some reviews mentioned the high price tag. True but it is worth every penny! Best Rib-eye in Town. Great service
google avatar

Yelp
This review is for the Cut bar just above the restaurant. I've sat down for their specialty cocktails and appetizers many times, and I've never been disappointed. The sliders and the spicy tuna scones are a must!! I've tried quite a few of their specialty cocktails and ALL of the ones I've tried were amazing. Personally the Crouching Tiger is still my favorite. I feel like London has many great spots for specialty cocktails but this has to be top 3. Coming from Vegas where they pump the drinks out by volume, it's nice to come to a place where bartending is an art and every cocktail is an art piece.

Yelp
This is one of the best and luxurious steakhouse in London. Very expensive but it's worth it
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent steaks. The Japanese cuts are spectacular. I didn't care for the Australian cuts as much as I did the U.S. and UK cuts. Wolfgang picked a winner here for sure.

Tom O.

Yelp
Way over priced and poor quality meat.. Not a place I would ever go again For 58£ you get what they call a 10 oz nysip steak with limited flavor. They serve prisoner cab which you can buy at Costco for £20 /glass.

Yelp
I will start off by saying this has by far been the best restaurant I've been to as far as service! They were very attentive and nice the entire time we were there. This place was recommended by the hotel we stayed at and considering I'm a steak lover, could not say no to this and I'm glad I didn't. The ambiance was very nice, diverse crowd, however our reservation was at the time they opened and it was a Saturday night. They brought out a huge tray of different selections of bread to choose from, I had the pretzel which was delish!! Prior to ordering our meals, they brought out another tray of different selections of steak and explained each one which was great! I got a filet and my man got lamb chops and we shared Mac and cheese and the cauliflower dish. My steak was awesome, and the lamb chops were the best I ever tasted, they were very juicy and full of flavor as well as my filet! Had sorbet for dessert which you could never go wrong with, it was a perfect way to end the meal. We both had cocktails which were also great! I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting London! I would suggest making reservations in advance, we did it the day before and we had to take the 6pm slot, but didn't finish till 8:30pm

Yelp
CUT in Beverly Hills is my favorite place for steak in LA. So, imagine how happy I was to find there was a location opening in London!! One of the last dinners I had in LA before moving to London was at the Beverly Hills location and Wolfgang Puck happened to be there. Such a special treat to meet him, he was very gracious and went to every table :) I couldn't get a reservation this weekend, so will need to wait a little bit to try it and post how it compares to my past experiences. Decided to go ahead and give it 5-stars when adding the listing as I have high hopes. Will keep an eye on what others think as well.
google avatar

Bruce S.

Yelp
I think I read about CUT in a magazine that touted it as having the best steak in London. I would rate our steaks as fine, I've had better for less than half the price but they were fine. Our server literally never checked back after delivering our food. Unacceptable in almost any restaurant but unheard of at a place where dinner for two with a glass of wine each ran $400. Desserts were very good and the sides were fine as well. If the service had been better I would have just chalked it up as a grossly overpriced decent meal but this one goes down as the worst experience for the money in my extensive dining career.
google avatar

Dee D.

Yelp
I haven't tried the steak here yet, but I went here once for after-dinner drinks and dessert, and oH MY GOD the chocolate soufflé was literally the best thing I've ever eaten. I'll upload a picture when I get around to digging through my Instagram, but the pictures really cannot do it justice. First of all, it's humongous and very rich, and big enough for 2 people to share. When they bring it out to you, the server cuts it for you with your spoon and ladles chocolate sauce on top of it, before topping it off with a big dollop of ice cream. I came back just for the soufflé. The bar is very upscale and a nice place for a drink, but on the pricy side - I wouldn't come all the way to Park Lane for the drinks alone.
google avatar

Logan B.

Yelp
CUT provided a deluxe experience. The food was incredible. Oddly enough my boyfriend and I keep daydreaming about the steamed broccoli. I know it sounds crazy when you're eating wagyu beef to remember the broccoli, but trust me, make sure you get some!
google avatar

Ghaida A.

Yelp
The fryers weren't working the night we went and so a lot wasn't available how ever what we did get was great. The mini burgers were delicious, the fries were oh so good. the risotto was amazing. Definitely going back and trying the steak.

Yelp
Excellent restaurant. Service was exceptional and food was perfect. Get the onion rings. So tasty. We had the US steaks with sauces and were great. Highly recommend

Yelp
if anything stood out for me at Cut it will be the amazing customer service where everyone was smiling and so courteous we went for lunch (it was an ordeal to get a booking at this place) finally a business concierge service was able to secure a lunch booking ! however, we went with some recommendations for dishes we must try- unfortunately lunch menu differs completely from the dinner one- but the hostess was nice enough to check with the kitchen if it was possible to serve what we would like to have from dinner menu and yes we ordered it food wise - starter dishes were not special main steak dishes - not cooked as ordered- in fact medium cooked steak in their books was burnt steak and by the end of the meal we had some flies sharing food with us ! which was appalling left after paying a hefty bill (£280 for two people and no wine) will I be back again? maybe if I can manage one day to book for dinner- I think the kitchen staff at dinner are better than the ones working lunch shift in general I was disappointed with the food but happy with the service

Yelp
Oooh, went here for dinner, it's a Steak specialist fine dining restaurant in Mayfair (owned by Wolfgang Puk & part of the Dorchester collection). It was fantastic! If you like steak, I recommend this place, they claim to have the best cuts that can be found here in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, the States & Chile - and after having experienced a selection of cuts here I well believe it! Staff are very knowledgeble about the cuts (bringing them out beforehand and explaining the different ones available) and also their wines. The Wagyu beef sashimi was melt in the mouth delish! A bit thicker than a carpaccio, marinated in something like Soy sauce. Mmmmm....could eat it again now! Sides included polenta & a very tasty Mac N Cheese. As well as the fine dining, they also do bar snacks (including Kobe beef sliders). There is a bar on the first floor that serves up delish cocktails, some using tea infused vodka with mango, jasmine teas infused vodka, some tea infused gin etc. Absolutley gorgeous! Pricey but delish!

Anne F.

Yelp
I was really lucky to ring the day they opened for business and get a dinner booking for the man's birthday that same weekend. Service was absolutely stunning, starting with drinks in the very shiny bar and then after at the table. Some people may say it is a bit naff for the staff to bring out the cuts of meat to the table, but we thoroughly enjoy it, same goes with the massive selection of breads. Very visual! The man went for the Australian wagu and I had the lamb chops. Wagu was simply melt in your mouth, topped off with a sliver of bone marrow.. sounds wrong, tastes amazing! The lamb chops were pink and delicious. My wallet took a bit of a hit, but for an enjoyable meal, with exceptional service I would recommend it.

Yelp
This is the best meat in London and sides are great too. This is the famous Wolfgang Puck restaurant. The mashed potatoes, sweet potato fries and rice are really good. On Sundays there is live music during brunch. Amazing experience.

Yelp
First of all, I did not stay at the hotel. Originally, I only went to the restaurant CUT at 45 Park Lane because I read about it on one of the best burger in London lists (http://youngandfoodish.com/london/top-10-burgers-in-london/) . It's a very modern and just relaxed and beautiful place. I got a place in the bar area upstairs and not in the main restaurant. I liked it up there, but it is not a very light place. Despite I wanted to try the burger, I finally ordered the steak. And I got one of the best steaks ever. Period. It was that good. And the fries were just as I like them: golden and crispy. You might find them too crunchy, but for me chips can hardly get better. The distinct seasoning added a little twist, making the chips even more enjoyable. As you probably expect at a place like this, I was offered to taste the wine I ordered before they filled my glass. Nice service, even if you just order a glass. I was surprised how much I liked CUT at 45 Park Lane. You might think this is just a posh and overly pricey restaurant. And it probably is. But it's also a great place for a steak and a wine. I will definitely go back to try some other meat and also taste the dessert I missed last time, because I did not have enough time to stay a bit longer
google avatar

Yelp
As a huge fan of Wolfgang Puck, this location did not disappoint. We both had the burgers and beer and everything from the service to the ingredients was top notch. They could expand their beer selection.

Ada S.

Yelp
I unexpectedly ended up here for coffee and ended up staying for lunch and drinks. For lunch I went for burger sliders (yummy!) and spring rolls also looked great. I must admit that the cocktails were excellent and I really enjoyed the Kiss cocktail (i think that is what it was called) and then the other one was with jasmine tea infused vodka - it was great (and I love a good cocktail). I would certainly recommend - however prices are not cheap, so bare this in mind!
google avatar

Harriet S.

Yelp
Best steak I have ever had and I am a huge steak fan! The only reason I haven't put 5 stars is that I am a fan of the more cosy and atmospheric dining experience than I felt the Cut offered. But would definately recommend!
google avatar

Mark P.

Yelp
Wolfgang Puck clearly has not kept a keen hold on his profitable trademark with this London offshoot. Questions about the choices on the menu and recommendations were met with "let me think who is in the kitchen tonight" -- but that was not all... At no point in the lengthy expensive dinner did anyone ever ask how our food was, was everything ok, etc. When I commented that I could not eat the one steak in a trio of steaks entree-- it was so heavily salted that it was truly covered in salt crystals-- the staff person said she would let the chef know. For £58 entree I thought she'd be more concerned. While a great atmosphere, no one is really attentive to the food or service. Wolfgang Puck's airport restaurants are more tightly controlled than CUT. I've been to his LA restaurants often and this one just seems too far off the mark. Maybe we caught them on a bad night but £450 dinners should not be hit or miss.
