"Here, in the former premises of the Amelia restaurant, you can discover Italian flavours as interpreted by chef Paulo Airaudo in contemporary dishes with a definite gourmet feel that are very different to the normal fare usually found in a trattoria. Da Filippo describes a meal here as “an experience for all the senses” and one which is centred around a single tasting menu. One dish that won us over in particular was the intense yet delicate duck, butter and thyme cappelletti. The wine list, featuring both Spanish and Italian options, includes an excellent choice of wines by the glass." - Michelin Inspector

The 12 Best New Restaurants in San Sebastián, Spain - Eater

"Chef Paulo Airaudo comes to San Sebastián by way of Argentina, and his latest restaurant, Amelia, holds the most recently bestowed Michelin star in the city’s constellation. Here he strives for an international vibe, from the reservations-only, locked-front-door policy (you have to buzz to be let in) to the Italian sommelier Mario Giunti’s diverse wine list. With artful plating and dishes that reflect global trends — like the avocado, caviar, and creme fraiche ice cream starter — this is a restaurant that looks beyond local food in an effort to gain international attention." - Marti Buckley

Amazing restaurant! We loved the interior and atmosphere in this restaurant. It reflects the dishes: Good base quality, beautiful, creative and some surprising funny details here and there. The service was just right! Always someone ready to help or serve us, good explanations of the dishes and interesting wine suggestions that worked well. Absolutely loved the whole evening, great experience.

A quirky space with beautiful food and excellent service. This place exceeded our expectations at every turn. Service was casual and professional, the only minor weakness was a longer than ideal delay between courses around the middle of the meal. Every dish was delicious, starting with a simple broth that was incredibly good, many were excellent, and a few were world class. It is very much worth a visit. Highly recommended!

The foie gras with cauliflower was fantastic and really enjoyable, a great combination that I had never tried before. The ravioli in the main course was exceptionally good, beautifully presented and well balanced in terms of flavor. Thank you very much for a lovely afternoon.

Wonderful, surprising, delicious contemporary Italian food. Served by a delightful, kind and knowledgeable staff front of house. Our only was having no euros to leave a well deserved tip. San Sebastian is famed for its pintxos but this lovely Italian resturant is the perfect antidote to those travellers wanting some fine dining to enthral the taste buds and counterpoint the regions other culinary delights. And to the delightful blonde lady who served us diligently throughout and who I was unable to tip i hope this review makes amends.

Fantastic! This place will soon be having a star - the food was beautiful and all the flavours were in total Balance. All the little extras with amuse in the beginning and petit fours in the end really added an extra nice touch. Service was perfect. Thank you for a great meal!
