Best Fried Chicken in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"While known for bowls of chewy rice noodles swimming in savory broth, the fried chicken at Dagu Rice Noodle might give its Southern-fried cousin a run for its money. Listed as “whole chicken” on the menu for $19, tender pieces of chicken are encased in lightly fried, crispy skin with just enough seasoning to allow the accompanying dry-spice salt mixture served with the bird to pack a flavorful punch with each dip." - Eater Staff

Best Restaurants and Food Markets on Buford Highway, Atlanta - Eater Atlanta

"Located at Intown Plaza on Buford Highway, Dagu Rice Noodle is one of the few restaurants around Atlanta serving Guilin rice noodles, a dish dating back over 2,000 years in China. Try Dagu’s signature braised pork noodles with tender meat that falls right off the bone. Add mala sauce for extra spiciness and sour vegetables to punch up the already flavorful broth. With a group? Order the whole fried chicken which comes with a dry seasoning dip for eating the meat and crispy chicken skins." - Eater Staff

The Best Restaurants for Guilin Rice Noodles and Yunnan Rice Noodles in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"Located at Intown Plaza on Buford Highway, I found Dagu Rice Noodle to be the quintessential Guilin rice noodle experience and a popular restaurant chain from China; their signature rice noodles with braised bone-in pork are well worth navigating around the large pork bone in the broth, with succulent meat that slides right off the bone. I recommend adding mala sauce for mouth-numbing spiciness and sour vegetables to brighten the flavorful broth even further. The usual accompanying sides round out the dish, and if you’re with a group, order the whole fried chicken, which comes with a dry seasoning dip for eating the meat and crispy skins — a fried chicken that might give Southern fried chicken a run for its money." - Susie Chow

Overall, I would give it four stars. I ordered the tomato beef rice noodles (my friend did as well). The taste was good, but aside from the noodles, there wasn’t much meat or vegetables. Although it was filling, it didn’t feel very satisfying...emmm...but not bad (like medium level?) Also, the vegetables were the salad type, which felt a bit strange. The pudding milk tea tasted pretty average, at least I would say they can improve it. I might go back to try other flavors(?) Like spicy noodle or sour beef..My other friend recommended pairing it with fried chicken for a more satisfying meal.

I usually don’t like to give 1 star for the restaurant, cause I know restaurant is a hard job. However, this place it totally deserves a 1 star rate. Came on Thursday lunch time, nobody welcomed or leading us for seat. After sit down by ourselves no water coming. Waited for 8 mins finally someone noticed us and asked us what we would like to order. We were still looking for the dish but the waiter just assume we want one of those dish and write down. We am really confused there’s only 3 tables when we was at the restaurant but all the waiter was disappeared, especially one of them walking so fast around feels like she’s super busy. But hey, ONLY 3 TABLES there. We really don’t understand what did you all busy for. The whole experience was BAD, also the dish portion is small as hell. We paid $15 each for the rice noodle however after we finished the food we still feeling hungry. The price is totally not match the food quality. We don’t know how still have people come to this place, but for me and my friend, we will definitely let all our friends know about our experience, and we will never come back to here.

Visited this restaurant for a meal with friends. We intended to go to China Hot Pot, but there was an electrical issue there so we went over to this place instead and I'm glad we did. We got the cucumber salad and fish tofu as an appetizer and then I got the kimchi soup hot pot style meal and a bubble tea with mango jelly. The food was delicious and the staff were very attentive to our needs. My friends and I were able to relax, enjoy food, and have a wonderful time. I would visit here again even if China Hot Pot is open!

The place is very nice clean. The service is fast and ver friendly. The food is pretty good. Hot noodle is best in cold weather. The affordable price makes it easy to try several appetizers at the same time. They are small portions like tapas but have a good variety. We ordered Signature rice noodle with braised bone-in pork for entree. I like the super boiling broth, the mild flavor suits me well but my bf preferred more flavor dish so next time he will try the spicy one. For appetizers, we had: - Marinated pork bone - Deep-fried spring roll - Deep-fried mini bun - Fried fish tofu - Brown sugar sticky rice All appetizers are good. We had so much so we to-go the mini bun. When I reheated the mini bun in microwave at home, it get harden (I put them up for 1 minute but maybe that's too long) and hard to eat so I would suggest not reheat the bun in microwave if you had it to-go or overnight in the fridge. We had hot tea and hot soy milk for drink order. It was a cold night out so we didn't get to try their fancy cold drink. It's fresh soy milk, not those from the can or bottle, so it's a plus to me. Overall we had a good experience. We also like how late at night the restaurant open; it helps a lot with us night owl people. Definitely recommend!

Clean, Friendly, and Delicious with lots of control on dietary concerns. It's a clean and friendly Korean café with quick service and tasty food. They were really helpful when I asked about allergens. Also, they have this cool little call button, in case you need the server. Wish there was more of that in the world. They have an options to build a bowl of soup. I chose "sour spicy crossing bridge rice noodle soup." See the pic. Basically, they bring a bowl of boiling broth with an assortment of additives. There are things like corn, tofu, bamboo, quail egg, crumbled pork, mushrooms etc. I started with the big strips of beef, which cooked in the broth. Then, I added the things I wanted to make a tasty, allergen-free soup. Rice noodles are included to add or eat separately. On one visit, I had the rice noodle soup with braised bone-in beef, which was delicious but has all the stuff already added, so I had to pick stuff out of it. I had the brown sugar sticky rice which was delicious. It reminded me of the mozzarella stick that had a delicious gooey inside with a little crust on the outside. It is gluten-free and dairy-free but with a soy powder on top that they'll leave off on your request. It's probably best if you don't take your cotillion date here unless you're securely past the third date. Handling the meal was awkward. I was trying to eat a big piece of beef without a fork, or knife. Additionally, I was trying to shovel long slippery noodles with chopsticks and a spoon. If you do decide to take your date here, there are some really safe things like crispy chicken with rice and, weirdly, Cajun fries. My kid had a crispy rice cutlet with rice and broccoli. She liked it. It's not gluten-free and has a lighter crust than most fried chicken. So, it's an adventurous meal for the average American. If you're game for that, this seems clean, friendly and tasty.

This is a hidden gem for the best fried chicken! My wife and I split the Crispy Karagge Chicken. And we're blown away! The skin is crispy perfection and the meat is moist and succulent. Previous times we got the Dagu Rice Noodle Bowl that the restaurant is known for. That's awesome. Go with a group and split something new .. you'll find other hidden gems!
