"While owners Hannah Jaffe and Nathan Sloan bid farewell to the Colonialtown breakfast and lunch spot they started three years ago for Tucson, Arizona, partners Tyson Pernell, Elise Ciungan, and Cory Bennett carry on the legacy of baking bialys of beauty. They come in caramelized onion or smoked jalapeno and muenster varieties with fillings ranging from gravlax to labneh to scrapple (this is not a kosher deli). The corned beef “big mac” layered with lettuce, American cheese, pickles, onions, and special sauce served on a sesame bun explains the lines Deli Desires often draws." - Faiyaz Kara

"Kickstart the day with a savory breakfast of fresh-baked bialys at Deli Desires. "Bialys, not bagels, are the focus at this Colonialtown breakfast and lunch spot run by Hannah Jaffe and Nathan Sloan. The pair worked for some big names in L.A. — Jessica Koslow (Sqirl), Michael Voltaggio (ink), and Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo (Son of a Gun) — so no surprise their humble little deli is on the regular rotation of many in-the-know eaters. Bialys come in caramelized onion or smoked jalapeno and muenster varieties with fillings ranging from gravlax to labneh to scrapple (this is not a kosher deli). Got the Veggie Deluxe and Gravlax. Rainy Sunday morning so we were the only ones there. 10/10 absolutely delicious. Bright and well seasoned. Veggie had a delicious herb and veggie mix. The bread itself was so chewy and delicious. We will be back!! Found this place from the 36 hours in Orlando NYT story.

Order the whitefish sandwich asap. Honestly it was one of the top 5 sandwiches I have ever had. Smokey and spicy and tangy and just so good. Also, the guy working there was very kind and answered all my questions patiently. This was probably more than I would typically pay for a sandwich but it was also more than I would typically receive. Worth the price if you’re craving something really delicious with high quality ingredients.

We stopped by here for a quick to-go breakfast one day on our way to Disney's Animal Kingdom. I had heard of the legend of these bialys for a long time, and I just knew it was time to finally come and have one. The place is a hole in the wall tucked away diagonally from the Mills-50 intersection. It's takeout orders only, with a few small waiting tables inside. Very warm and inviting, the ambiance and the people inside. Very nice experience. As for the food itself, we got two bialys. I got the Bacon (Egg, Smoked Jalapeno Cream Cheese), and I also got to try the Veggie Deluxe (Pickled Veggie Cream Cheese, Tomato, Radish, Herb Salad, Marinated Cucumber, & Red Onion). Both were incredible. The bread was crisp and delightfully textured on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. A nice big hole, but still able to contain all the toppings within pretty well. The Bacon was as it sounded. Crispy bacon, a well-fried egg, and ooey gooey cheese that drips everywhere. The veggie caught me off guard with how good it was. The pickled, the creamy cheese, the bite from the radish, the different bite from the red onion. Crispy and fresh and really good! Do recommend. Overall, I recommend this place very much. Every bit of it was delicious, and there are endless amount of customizable combinations you can make. I will probably be back many more times before the end.

Google
This was such a nifty stop. Completely hipster, through and through, but had parking in downtown which is always awesome, and was takeaway only, so no clamoring for seating. Fresh bialys, weird coffees (I had the tomato leaf latte and it was wild!), and a cute, 50s diner vibe that I really enjoyed (with blue grout on the back tiles!) The whitefish was the best I've had and the pickled veggies in it were the perfect vinegarish complement. If you crave something more authentic than TooJays, this is your spot. Friendly service and very patient. I'll have to get the green apple pie bialy, Old Bay potato chips, latke sandwich, and some egg salad next time.

Google
Ok ok I get really not digging the automatic 17% gratuity… especially when the employee at the front isn’t very nice but I must say it is hard to find a Bialy in Orlando & the reason I came here in the first place. The egg-salad bialy was delicious. It is on the pricey side but we’re not in NY’s LES eating Bialys at Kossar’s where the bialy is KING ! But I did enjoy the food here. Probably could use some pickles…. Do pay them a visit but expect big city prices. L’Chaim.

Adrian Suarez

Google
Upon arrival the service was definitely NOT worth the 17% gratuity and after doing a little digging I find out that apparently it’s a habit. The asian lady and the white gentleman in the front are not welcoming to dark skinned folks. Im sorry to say it but when you know you know. Personally I won’t be returning and if you’re going to visit for the first time make sure to be white. Simple as that.

Kathy Dieppa

Google
We got the gravlax and latke sandwich. Both were incredible. The salmon on the gravlax was maybe the best cured salmon I’ve ever had. Staff is super friendly. The place is very clean and tidy. It’s mostly takeout but they do have a couple of standing tables that we ate at. Can’t wait to go back

George Doujaiji

Google
Amazing place and I'm so surprised it doesn't have more reviews. This place looks so nice and the food tastes just as great. All the little touches are wonderful, like the wide assortment of chip flavors, and as an Arab, it's very cool to see them offering labneh. This place needs way more attention.

Yelp
During a very important discussion (debate?) about bagels, my friend from New York told me that bialys are superior anyway, but that they should only be enjoyed with butter (cream cheese would be blasphemy). I had never had a bialy, but as luck would have it, Deli Desires is right by my house. Now, after several Deli Desires experiences, I can confidently say I am a bialy girl. Bagels have been ruined for me. There is no seating at the location so it's all to-go, but the service is always friendly and fast. Any time I am going on a trip, I stop for a quick bialy breakfast before I head out on my way.

Jesy T.

Yelp
I absolutely loved deli desires! I was literally craving this place for 2 straight weeks after. This was my first time trying a bialys and it did not disappoint. I ordered the scrapple and it was delicious; the combination of the flavor of the pork and the dukes mayo was 10/10. Honestly I could've probably devoured 2 of these instead of 1, as they're less filling than a bagel. Service was fairly reasonable for a Saturday and my bialys was freshly prepared. I really enjoyed the simplicity of the store front, yet so unique in its own way. Definitely recommend to make your way out to Deli Desires!

Phylicia K.

Yelp
Every neighborhood needs a good authentic deli! I really enjoyed their breakfast Sammie's! I had the latke because how can I not add a potato pancake to my bacon egg & cheese sandwich! Staff was super friendly and service was quick!

Drew S.

Yelp
I mean, this place absolutely rules. I had the "Bacon" and it was a 10/10. The service is quick and friendly. It isn't necessarily a sit down kind of place but they promote local so I love the vibe. Deli Desires is a must visit.

Nina M.

Yelp
My husband and I just stopped in before a long drive. For drinks, I got an iced mocha and my husband got a nitro cold brew. The coffees were both super fresh tasty. For breakfast, I got the latke sandwich on a sesame bun and he got the bacon, egg, and cheese on a sesame bun as well. Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. Wishes had a location in our area! We will be back the next time we're in Orlando.

Louis I.

Yelp
A bit of a one-trick pony, they make all their sandwiches on bagels. The sandwiches themselves are pretty tasty, if a bit greasy. Unfortunately, a bagel just can't hold that much, so the portion sizes can't justify the prices. If you want a lighter lunch and don't mind paying a bit extra for it, it's worth stopping in.

Chris K.

Yelp
So last weekend we visited this spot because we have seen great reviews and passed by it a couple times. Although mills has amazing spots and franchises, this one definitely hit the spot for a great bagel breakfast ! To our surprise wasn't as crowded, but really loved the interior design and the location. Not too obvious, but yet subtle and hidden from the main strip. Parking lot is a bit smaller , but still wasn't too crowded for a great Sunday morning. I decided to order the B.E.C which is bacon, egg, and cheese on a caramelized onion bagel. It was delicious and paired it off with that sweet and savory cream soda. Honestly taking a bite brought me back to the bagel shops around New York. Definitely a good spot and I recommend paying them a visit.

Diandra L.

Yelp
Deli desires is home to one of my favorite sandwiches - the corned beef Big Mac. I tried it once months ago and have been dreaming about it ever since. This weekend, we placed a big order for breakfast and I was once again reunited with this beauty of a sandwich. Their bialy bread is a wonderful vehicle for this corned beef. It's topped with special sauce, house made pickles, cheese and just enough lettuce to cut thru the indulgent ingredients. You could likely share this sandwich as it is huge, but why would you want to? I also ordered a latke which was delish. Solid spot that I crave every time I'm in Orlando.

Sasha S.

Yelp
We've had Deli Desires on several mornings now and it never disappoints. I'm not usually a jalapeño gal but their jalapeño muenster bialy toasted with butter ALWAYS hits. The service has always been pleasant and extremely prompt. The place itself is tiny and no seating is available but there is no shame in enjoying this food in your car so you can make all the faces/sounds you need when you taste this scrumptiousness. Also highly recommend the lemongrass latte!!! Thank you, Deli Desires, for your service to my community and for being so close to my house.

Mel Z.

Yelp
I wish I could visit them more often, but when I am in the area around brunch time I will make it a point to stop by! The staff is nice, attentive, friendly and they are more than happy to answer any questions about the menu or make suggestions. The shop is clean, organized and has a nice ambiance. There is no seating as most of the food is taken to go, which it does not matter because it is delish! We got the BEC and the BACON both on a jalapeño cheese bialy and they sure hit the spot. We will definitely be back and this time we will try their coffee!

Laura G.

Yelp
I love the caramelized onion bialy at Deli Desires. The bialy tastes close to a combination of a bagel and an English muffin. It's flat and round with a slightly crunchy top and a little chew on the bottom. The caramelized onion puts it over the top delicious. I always order it with sliced tomatoes and switch between adding a touch of butter or jalapeño cream cheese. It's a pick up only restaurant...no inside dining.

Miranda R.

Yelp
Recent change - their pricing structure includes tax and gratuity so what you see is what you get by way of menu prices. It can be slightly shocking at first but I respect that they did away with the 17% forced gratuity. This structure is much more consumer friendly and it allows them to charge what they're worth and the customer just pays sticker! Had a great bialy there this morning and grabbed two to-go for a lazy breakfast at home tomorrow! Highly recommend grabbing a few plain bialys to-go when you stop in, throw an egg on it at home and it's like the real deal but from the comfort of your own home!

Susie Miller B.

Yelp
A clean and slightly quirky spot with great service and DELICIOUS breakfast sammies. As a girl with Amish heritage, try the scrapple- it is sooooo yummo!

Dorsa V.

Yelp
Deli Desires is always on the top of my list for breakfast. I love everything there! The peeps who own and operate this neighborhood gem are the coolest and kindest with a serious passion for making everything delicious My favorites: -Latke (add bacon and pickled peppers) -Bacon (add pickled peppers) -Candied Orange Latte is a must Beyond the food, they offer a variety of goods on their shelves, like tin fish, wine, gourmet spices and even cute mugs from local artist It's Wonky! This is a perfect grab and go spot, but if you want to sit and eat, walk down the street to the nearby park for a lil picnic moment!

Geneva B.

Yelp
Tooo good! From the bialys to the cream cheeses to the sandwich, you can't go wrong. I love the caramelized onion with the regular cream cheese. My husband loves the habanero egg sandwich and could probably eat it daily. The place is super clean, everyone is friendly and they have great food, what's not to like. It's a small business and the shop is small. Hoping they grow even bigger so they can get a place with some tables so I can come with the whole fam!

Rachel B.

Yelp
I want to preface this review by saying I did an AWFUL job of taking pictures to record my experience at Deli Desires- but hopefully I can convince you to give this glorious shop a try! I've had a few friends mention how amazing this place is, so I'm really happy I finally made my way over there. It was a little different than I expected- they seem to have product that rotates each month. They bake bialys- a flat roll kind of like a bagel- fresh daily. The staff was incredibly kind and did a nice job of explaining their menu :) Ultimately I decided on a caramelizad onion bialy with cream cheese and everything bagel seasoning, and it was absolutely amazing. If this shop wasn't so far from where I live, I'd be over probably more than is socially acceptable haha. I wish I had taken some pictures of the inside of the shop, because it was super cute! Lots of merch for sale, including some work by local artists/vendors. Just a really cool vibe all around. Highly recommend making it a priority to swing by this gem!

Tim D.

Yelp
This place is great. The Bialys are authentic and packed with flavor. The sandwiches are also amazing as well as having a great selection of beverages. 10/10

Michael C.

Yelp
As a Colonialtown resident, Deli Desires is a neighborhood staple and an absolute Godsend. They have placated my hangriness on countless occasions. I love them so much that I've had stretches where I would order from them 2-3 times a week... my wallet had to tell me to slow down even though my heart wanted me to go on. My go-tos are the "Big Mac" corned beef, the Bacon (egg + cheese) Sandwich and the Reuben but I think my favorite is the Big Mac. I also enjoy getting their seasonal lattes, mostly iced, because they usually do some kind of interesting flavor like a Toasted Pecan Latte, a Black Strap Latte or an Angostura Bitters Latte. The flavor can be a bit potent so I like to get them iced so the ice can mellow it out. It'll be the sweet treat that'll get you through the midday slump. It only recently occured to me see if you could order from their website and you can! So instead of ordering on UberEats if you live nearby, order directly through them to save yourself some money and so that more money can go to their biz! Love this spot and the kind people that work there. I've never had a bad experience.

Chris T.

Yelp
When foodie OGs like lemonhearted and allysoneatz tell you to go somewhere multiple times, you go there, periodt. I opted for the bacon sandwich-$10 (smoked jalapeno and muenster cheese on a caramelized onion bialys) and a toasted pecan latte - $7. The sandwich was pricey but also absolutely delicious, the coffee was sweet but otherwise not notable. Parking may be difficult and the space is only big enough to order, only a couple seats inside, so I recommend ordering ahead in order to make pick up easy.

Mike N.

Yelp
A life changing culinary experience. My wife and I discovered this hidden gem a couple month ago and we're amazed at the unique menu options and quality of the food. The deli is in a very unassuming shopping center right off Colonial Dr near Mills district. We stumbled inside not expecting anything more than a typical deli experience. Man, we're we wrong. The staple item here are the bialys--a thin bagel-like bread. We ordered the Latke Sandwich on the Caramelized Onion Bialy with jalapeño cream cheese, and the Bacon Sandwich. We also ordered a side of potato salad and it was fantastic. A previous visit, we had ordered lattes and they are amazing. Can't imagine a better experience overall. The whole experience is great and consistent. This spot has become one of our local favorites and plan on coming often.

Katy G.

Yelp
First time visiting Deli Desires after being on my list for a while! The staff was super friendly and was there to answer questions. I picked the bacon bialy and candied orange latte, both were great. It was definitely hard to eat the runny egg sandwich in my car. I wish there was at least a table or two inside. The quality of the food was great, loved the jalapeno munster bialy. My one complaint is the price + unnoted gratuity. For a sandwich and latte, it came out to $20. The $10 seemed reasonable for the sandwich if that included the gratuity, but there was a little bit of sticker shock at the end. Nevertheless, I would still return!

Sheila E.

Yelp
Love, love, love deli desires! Definitely gotta stop by here for a bialy and the candied orange latte. The staff is always friendly and the hipster vibes are chill.

Andrea S.

Yelp
I highly recommend everything I had at Deli Desires, including their version of the Big Mac made with corned beef. If anything...definitely check out their seasonal coffee menu, the flavors will not disappoint.

Idrees K.

Yelp
I always heard great things about this place and I was finally in the area in the morning to try the breakfast there! My only experience at a Jewish deli was in NYC but I only tried bagels. This place actually doesn't have bagels, they have bialys and I never even heard of that prior. The employee was very good, I told him its my first time here and he explained the menu to me and what a bialy is. The ambiance is a corner store or local deli type vibe. Just a quick in and out place without any seating, with some little stuff for sale on the shelves. The food was honestly amazing. I had a latke, egg, and cheese sandwich on a sesame bun, soooo goood! And a jalapeno and cheese bialy. Everything was so tasty, I loved it. This brings me to my only negative of this place. As mentioned before, there is nowhere to sit and all ordering is done to a cashier and you get your food when your name is called. But they charge a 17% service fee on all orders, despite the fact that there isn't much service aside from the communication when ordering. I spent like $25 on two, small items.

Morgan P.

Yelp
Literally so good. The bialy has just the right amount of chew and the bacon and egg cooked perfect. Spread on it is top notch. My favorite breakfast sandwich in Orlando

Kalani G.

Yelp
Let me preface this review by saying I am a proud New Jerseyan. And I am constantly trying to find a decent bagel and breakfast sandwich. Imagine my delight at finding Deli Desires. Finally a bacon, egg and cheese (yellow American cheese , very important) made the way I like. Always good service here. It's a cute shop, standing only but a welcoming atmosphere. You're going to find plenty of options and the candied orange latte is a must.

Kaila J.

Yelp
Visited Deli Desires on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The deli was empty when we arrived but shortly after people entered picking up phone orders. I was surprised at the amount of orders being picked up and how quick the service was. We ordered two gravlax Bialys, one caramelized onion with a side of cream cheese, twos hers chips and a cold brew. After tip it's was $52. Kinda pricey for a quick lunch but it was worth it. Every ingredient was fresh and balanced out perfectly. Cold brew was strong and flavorful. You can add syrups for a fee. Milk alternatives are available as well. We loved our choices and look forward to going back to try the potato salad, smoked fish and egg salad.

Judy C.

Yelp
The Big Mac was tasty but did not blow me away. Pickles added a nice taste dimension to it and a zesty crunch. They also add a mandatory 17% gratuity to all non-retail items. This includes soda cans...which ends up being $4. No tables to sit inside. Just one park bench outside.

Stori P.

Yelp
In my opinion, there aren't very many Bagel shops that I would die for. However, Deli Desires is one of those Bagel shops. Not only does it always smell like fresh baked bread and coffee immediately upon walking in, but I am always greeted by such a nice worker behind the counter. I have had so many people recommend this place to me before going, and now I can happily say I go at least once a month. They have everything that makes my heart happy - not to mention GOOD vegan cream cheese!

Tairi P.

Yelp
If you like the idea of being served a more delicious version of a bagel ("bialys") by cool, tattooed-up (and cute) guys who are really nice, then this is your place. Being a vegan (I know, we're everywhere), I never think of a deli as having much of an option for me so clearly the Orlando foodie gods arranged for me to get a flat tire right outside their parking lot, and one of the employees actually came out to see if I was ok. So unexpectedly kind, and made me go inside and learn they actually have great options for vegans! I now will go out of my way to get an amazing and delicious caramelized onion bialy with vegan cream cheese. It's so delicious! It's take-out only so don't expect to eat inside, but it's worth stopping in to grab some good food, look at their homemade soda selection, and grab an Orlando Weekly to start your morning!

Jenna P.

Yelp
SO SO SO GOOD!!! Orlando needs more delis like this. Definitely will be back for the famous big mac

Ashley S.

Yelp
So so yummy. Legit audibly enjoyed my bacon bagel and cortado. But can I still maintain my food-loving local card if I say it's very expensive for a place with no seating and I didn't love that they have a mandatory 17% tip added to the counter service? Breakfast was great, but $18 for a bagel sandwich and 3oz of coffee (that the order was wrong on) is steep. That said, I'll probably do it again for that runny yolk and delicious bacon anyway!

Dior K.

Yelp
I must have memory loss or something because I don't know how I've put of reviewing this place given how many times I go to have a scrapple. Deli Desires is an amazing place to get bagels and bagel sandwiches. I think the best way to get food here is to order ahead and pick it up, it's well, a deli basically so it's not a sit down place. You stand and wait for food so might as well order ahead. But when you do come something always good is cooking. You can maybe pick out wine while you wait or look at the variety of in house made sodas, that make you go: "oh wow that really is just celery". Among other things. My favorite thing to get is the scrapple. The flavor is just so unique with a bit of spice. It's a messy meal though so be careful.

Deshika B.

Yelp
As soon as you open the door, you're blown away by the smell. This place just SMELLS amazing. Like fresh baked bread, eggs, bacon, ham, lox, oranges. All mixed together to make you feel GOOD. And that's how I felt from the first bite, all the way until the last sip of my orange latte. I felt good. The bialy was toasted perfectly, the bacon crispy, but not overdone. The fried egg was just brown enough, and the scallions were a welcome addition. I was in heaven. The true superstar is the spread. I don't know what's in it, but it just makes sense to be on this sandwich. It made the whole meal. And I found myself scraping it off the wrapper, and licking it off my fingers. I'd eat it with a spoon! The orange latte was on point! You could taste the orange without it being overpowering, the coffee was strong enough, and the sweetener hovered between just right and bitter (I'm a black coffee drinker, so this was *chefs kiss*). The prices are reasonable, my sandwich was $10 and my coffee was $6, but I was full and satisfied so it was well worth it!

Tiffany A.

Yelp
I'm a sucker for a good breakfast sandwich and this place is fire! Everytime I've eaten anything from here it's been consistently delicious. The blonde lady in the front is super friendly, even over the phone, I love her. The only reason why I'm not giving 5 stars is because $10.65 for a breakfast sandwich is pretty pricey and it's not somewhere I'd be able to stop in and order from every day...but IT IS worth it.

Mary Lou N.

Yelp
I sooo do not know how to rate this place. I was so taken aback by the 17% gratuity automatically added that I had to do a double-take of my receipt! Counter service. Take out. Nowhere to sit, so no wait staff or service or customer clean up. 17 PERCENT. I already dislike fast food places asking if you want to leave a tip, but at least they ask. If this place needs that to supplement their employees, they need to pay them better. Paying employees fairly IS a cost of doing business. If the owners are keeping it for themselves, then they are failing at properly pricing their items, or worse. So, food gets a 5 stars, guy who was so helpful in taking my order 5 stars, the fact that they put a very inappropriate 17% on all orders makes it 1 star. So my rating would fall in the 2-4 range, with 3 and 4 sounding too high and 2 almost sounding too low. I can't even decide if I will go back.

Naimah S.

Yelp
Five stars for an amazing bagel store! My husband and I have made it a point to treat ourselves here on the weekends when we exercise around Lake Baldwin. Who doesn't love to be rewarded with a delicious bagel filled with all of life's treasures after a strenuous workout? We are forever loyal to ordering the Latke bagel sandwich. Ugh, seriously drooling right now. It's somewhat quick service from very kind staff. There's no room to sit and eat indoors or even outdoors. This is more of a order, grab, and go. Perhaps a bigger second location is in the future? Would love to see our favorite bagel shop expand. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Wally Z.

Yelp
Finally had a chance to try this place out and it did not disappointed! Have been told that this is the place to go for breakfast sandwiches in the Orlando area and it's been near the top of my list for quite a while. I ordered ahead as I had read that they're busy and not really a place to sit inside. When ordering online they helpfully give you an estimate time to pick up your order. Sure enough my order was ready 25 minutes later as promised. I ordered the latke sandwich an added a piece of bacon. The sandwich was absolutely delicious, with the egg adding a nice moist texture to compliment the sesame bun. I want to try to every item in the menu after experiencing this sandwich. The only drawback is that these sandwiches are pretty pricey; my sandwich came to $13.65 and after tip I was setback $16. Still worth it in my opinion but holds it back from being a 5 star experience!

Anna L.

Yelp
5 star update because Deli Desires is STILL my jam and they're now open 7 days a week -- WHAT! Only furthering my addiction, I have some new favorites on the menu. I'm currently obsessing over their Candied Orange Latte (garnished with candied orange peel - yum!) which is insanely delicious both hot and iced. I hope they never get rid of this coffee drink. I also finally discovered the Latke Sandwich (add bacon/sub bun for jalapeno bialy) and it's my new favorite comfort meal. Can't get enough and now my only problem is trying not to order it every single day. If you haven't tried DD yet, what are you waiting for?!

A R.

Yelp
Awesome bagel sandwiches. I got to try scrapple for 1st time & it was delicious too. The service is very friendly & on point. This is not a sit down restaurant but don't let that deter you from trying it. You will not regret it. Walk in order & take it with you. By far the best breakfast sandwich in a long time. 5 stars.

Susan D.

Yelp
I had the best deli sandwich today since I left Zingerman's behind in Ann Arbor years ago. This is such a find! I ordered a latke sandwich, which has the said crispy, creamy toothsome latke, a lovely fresh egg over easy, and I added a stack of luscious corned beef and more creamy goodness from the subbed muenster cheese. This was all between what i never would have expected to be good with it, but was: a sesame seed bun. I was moaning with pleasure. I ate half the sandwich in big bites to taste the whole deal, and then I deconstructed it and savored each item separately. Just outstanding, both ways. This place is takeout only and ours was delivered, so I can't comment on the ambiance of the place. The packing up was great. It takes some doing to keep a big sandwich like that together for the 10+ mile ride from the Colonial area to Lake Nona. Respect. Some have complained about the prices here, but I take issue with that. My sandwich was as filling as an entree in a restaurant, more delicious than most, and less expensive. What's not to like! I figure we will now order from Deli Desires once a week for the rest of our lives.

Sheila G.

Yelp
I'm compelled to review while torn inside. Pros: Delicious! I was looking forward to visiting for a long time and the hype about these breakfast sandwiches is true. They are yummy and nicely balanced. Cons: You know those moments when you order 2 breakfast sandwiches, a coffee and a soda and it comes out to $43?! You're stunned, need a moment to absorb so you don't know what to say. Well, that's what happened to me. Funny enough, the cashier said he will just staple the receipt on the to go bag so I wasn't able to see the breakdown before I paid. Once I got the bag/receipt, I saw why it was so pricey: - MANDATORY 17% tip? Super surprising, for a place that sells TO GO breakfast sandwiches and doesn't have a customer restroom, sink, server, table or chairs. Never seen that before. No one tells you, can't adjust it, makes you feel robbed, just the principle. - overpriced - small sandwiches Unfortunately, for value, I would have a delicious breakfast sandwich elsewhere.

Yelp
The name is very fitting! You're sure to desire their bialy sandwiches after trying them. My boyfriend and I called in an order for an egg, cheese, and bacon onion bialy and a bialy with scallion cream cheese. They both hit the spot! Perfect texture and flavor! Looking forward to trying some more items on the menu!

Yelp
Good morning, Orlando--- grab a cup of Bandit Coffee and a bialys. I am filled with excitement about my recent find which I am apparently late for. Deli Desires is a small spot, open from 7a-3p with a specialized menu! Currently only take-out, there isn't seating available to speak of, but don't let that deter you. I have now educated myself on the different between a bagel and a bialys and the latter is the superior vehicle for their cream cheese flavors. It is said, the earlier in the day you come, the more delicious the bialys. They even have their own sodas and collaborate with local small businesses. I guess if I had to pick a problem, it could be parking? That's Colonial, though. With superior branding, DD is a fabulous before-work run & I am very happy to have it in my neck of the woods.

Yelp
Came here for some bialys and latkes. Bialys we're fresh and tasty. Latkes we're baked and not fried - which I was told ahead of time. Definitely homemade, but if they were fried they would've been better. Customer service was friendly and on point.

Yelp
Deli Desires is a takeaway deli that mainly serves bialy sandwiches. Bialys are basically flat bagels (and SO good). I've had the Scrapple Bialy (pictured), the veggie delux, and the Gravlax. All of them are incredibly flavorful and unique. There is no other place in Orlando that offers sandwiches quite like this. They also serve Bandit Coffee (a personal favorite of mine from St. Pete), along with house made pickles (so unique and delish!) and select grocery items (like my beloved Diamond Crystal Kosher Salt). It's really a one-stop-shop for food lovers of all types. Right now, the space is just a walk up counter with no seating inside. I'm not sure if they have plans to expand yet, but the only thing that would make this place even better would be a few tables so we can stop and stay awhile. You can order online ahead, or order at the counter. Also, they bake fresh challah bread every Friday. There's no reason for you not to go.

Yelp
Been meaning to try this place out for awhile now, especially since I love a great breakfast sandwich. Not only was the food excellent but the service was outstanding as well. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and they gave me a breakdown of what everything was and how the Bialys were baked fresh every morning. I ended up doing the Bacon, Egg and Cheese on the Jalapeño Bialys and it was devine. The bacon was super crispy, the egg was done perfectly and the cream cheese had great pieces of roasted jalapeños inside of it which all made for great bites. I also decided to try one of their housemade sodas, the red pop I believe it was called. It was made with strawberries and raspberries and it was very good as well. Not overly sweet and had nice balance. Next I may try their celery and mint soda just because it sounds interesting. I will definitely be back ad I think it's one of the best spots for breakfast sandwiches in Orlando! Highly recommended.

Yelp
I had a latke sandwich and the only question in my mind if it was the best sandwich I have ever had or if it was only the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. It is that good. Yes, it's expensive with the service fee and if that bothers you don't go. But to compare this to an Egg McMuffin when assessing is an injustice. The soft sesame bun was wonderful as bread on my sandwich and the Bialy was first rate. I was visiting from Ohio and if I lived in Orlando I would be RUNNING back!!
