Yelp
Devil's Teeth Baking Company you're an angel in my book as you simply had me at your signature Breakfast Sandwich that your hardworking staff creates on a daily basis. Located on Balboa Street in San Francisco's Outer Richmond neighborhood, this is Devil's Teeth Baking Company second location after the success with their original location on Noriega Street south of Golden Gate Park in the Outer Sunset neighborhood. Open since 2020, this location of Devil's Teeth Baking Company may be slightly less popular than their parent restaurant but they're still young and on the day I went they were busy enough that the wait to both order and for my food was significant. I have wanted to try this second location of Devil's Teeth Baking Company ever since they opened, and finally got the chance to when some friends want to go to another place in the neighborhood for lunch. Once they told me that the place they wanted to dine at for lunch was near the new location of Devil's Teeth Baking Company, and I made it my mission to get here before our lunch to make sure that I was able to order their signature breakfast sandwich and maybe even a sweet treat, both to enjoy later.
After finding parking in their Outer Richmond neighborhood on a neighborhood cross street, as the Balboa Street where Devil's Teeth Baking Company resides is all metered parking, I entered Devil's Teeth Baking Company to find people waiting for their orders, but nobody ordering anything. I did notice that their main dining room was on the darker side, but they did have an outdoor patio in the back of their restaurant that would be perfect for dining and drinking on a nice weather day. The menu at Devil's Teeth Baking Company is separated into sections including Drinks, Breakfast Sandwiches, Everything Else, and Pastries. Since I was on a mission to enjoy their sandwich, I knew I wanted to order their Regular Breakfast Sandwich, which was their handcrafted buttermilk biscuit cut in half with two scrambled eggs, bacon and cheddar cheese which was sold for 10 dollars. And since I knew that I wanted a sweet treat, as I tend to order anything sweet, especially when they are all placed in a glass box for all to see, I ordered their Ginger Cookie, mainly because it was the last one that they had of that cookie, so I knew they must be good. Although all of their cookies cost $3.50, which can be considered on the pricier side. But with their sandwiches being so affordably priced, I considered it a nice trade-off. My total bill was $14.66 before gratuity was added in, which was a reasonable total.
It did take about ten minutes for my order to be called, which proved to me that their staff was dutifully working on the many orders that they had. I really wanted to sample my cookie as I waited but I knew that I had to wait as I had a meal to enjoy. Eventually my name was called and my sandwich was wrapped in foil to keep up the warmth. When I took my meal home, it was just as lovely as when I picked it up from the restaurant, as I actually waited a day to eat my sandwich for breakfast, and after reheating it in my toaster, I swear their breakfast sandwich is better enjoyed a day later as the bacon was still crispy and their biscuit was dense and buttery. The cookie was one of the heartiest and best I ever had, and totally justified my order, as I overheard a customer after me be upset that they were all sold out of their Ginger Cookies, after I took the last one! I cannot wait to come back to Devil's Teeth Baking Company, as they are a San Francisco institution that serves everything from coffee drinks, pastries, and even veggie lasagna! I can see why people start here for their meal for the day before heading out to the beach or the park, as taking a picture outdoors with your breakfast sandwich in one hand has become a tradition. May Devil's Teeth Baking Company success led to a third and fourth location opening up and hopefully across the Bay Area, as they have become well worth the drive for both their savory and sweet treats for all to enjoy.
