What a cute little diner. Tucked away in the neighborhood with not much parking , it's still worth checking out. You get complimentary, serve yourself coffee and donuts while waiting . There's a wide variety of things to make your coffee exactly how you love it. The menu is small but filled with yummy favorites. Prices are comparable to most places now, fairly cheap I'd even say. Everything was delicious and served pretty quickly. The service was great and we will definitely be back

Google
I have been looking for a good, classic diner in Columbus for a while now and this is exactly that! From the self serve coffee bar to the delicious pancakes made with their donut batter, this place truly has it all. We tried the blueberry pancakes, breakfast tacos, the jam, and a side of potatoes all the way. Everything we so yummy and hit the spot. The atmosphere both inside and outside really makes this place unique and I will 100% be coming back!! Also, not to mention, the donuts are delicious!!! I tried a traditional glazed, and it was the softest, pillowiest donut Ive ever tried. It's a must try.

Google
Stepout Columbus highly recommended DK diner, so my wife and I made the trip to the diner. First and foremost, the doughnuts are outstanding. Some of the best doughnuts I've ever had. The breakfast was okay. For the price of biscuits and gravy, I would have liked to see hashbrowns added. The service was pretty much help yourself. And obviously, with everything going on, there is a 50 cent upcharge on each egg. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience.

Google
We got donuts and coffee only on a warm Saturday afternoon. First, the donuts were very classic and unpretentious. Moist, flavorful, and no nonsense. The ambience was… diner— but with some outdoor seating. We walked, but parking seemed difficult. Great service!

Google
Food was delicious. The omelettes were fluffy eggs and the right amount of cheese and ingredients. Coffee was self-serve. Place is really neat inside and out. Donuts are awesome! Tucked away in a neighborhood with plenty of street parking. Highly recommend!

Google
This is an awesome small diner with wonderful friendly staff and a great menu with many options, including breakfast, which is offered all day. The Ruben sandwich with fries was very tasty. The Saratoga chips are the best I've ever tasted Definitely give this establishment a visit

Google
Love it. I saw a reel on Instagram about a diner in Columbus where you could get a burger served on a donut. For obvious reasons, we went there to try the burger on a donut. Social Media has changed the world for sure. Sometimes in a good way. Now, we can debate the health benefits of eating a burger on a donut all day. Or I suppose not, as it's hard to defend this as healthy. That said, damn this was delicious. A pretty unique combination that made the visit well-worth it. That's more or less it. If you go here, get it. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Also, I learned that Ohio produces its own maple syrup.

Google
All day breakfast spots are hard to come by! The good: pancakes were huge and pretty enjoyable, The bad: I couldn’t feel comfortable given the amount of trash visibly all over the floors. The light fixtures had a thick layer of dirt. It made me wonder what cleanliness protocols do they complete if they don’t prioritize the areas customers sit and can see. Also, it’s odd that you get your own drink at a diner.

Yelp
Honestly one of my favorite diners I've visited. It's a pretty small space and there's a stand right in the middle where you can buy fresh donuts that are some of the best I've ever had (and I LOVE a good donut so I have tried a good amount!). The best were the classic glazed and the maple long john, but they also had some really good pumpkin specials (like a pumpkin cake donut and a pumpkin donut covered in cinnamon sugar). If you opt to sit down, drinks are self-serve but a server will come by to take your food order- we tried a couple of different things. The DK Pancakes were so good and absolutely massive, they were light and fluffy and had a bit of a lemon flavor, they also didn't have that typical diner taste of everything that's been on the grill before them. I would absolutely get these again. We also tried two different breakfast sandwiches. We were told the Gladdington is a favorite and we could see why- it was honestly a perfect breakfast sandwich. The eggs and bacon were done perfectly, and the Sriracha mayo and caramelized onions really kicked it up a notch. The Jam was also excellent and we liked that it was a little spicy, but it was hard to live up to how good the Gladdington was! Highly recommend adding on the potatoes as a side too, they were nice and crispy. Prices are super reasonable and the whole team was fun and friendly. Highly recommend stopping by for a visit (or at the very least some excellent donuts!).

Yelp
If you're looking for a good ol' American breakfast that will leave your heart and tummy feeling full DK Diner is just the place. Every once in a while I crave a true diner experience with the pancakes, eggs, sausage, toast, the whole 9 yards. DK Diner checked off all those boxes for me. They have a cozy inside and now for the winter have an insulated outdoor seating area that heats up very well. We went an early Saturday morning and were seated instantly. I ordered the Teny breakfast and for just under $14 the price can't be beat. The plate was HUGE! I ended up needing some help from my boyfriend to finish it all. The breakfast brings a pancake the size of your face, two large sausage patties, 4 slices of toast, a healthy serving of potatoes, and 2 eggs your way. The food was great for the price. The pancake had a bit of an interesting flavor but wasn't bad by any means just definitely not the best. I did feel a little awkward at the self-serve drink station and would knock them down a little for that if you truly want to be fully served. Overall, it's a great place with great value and I will definitely come back and make sure to save space to try their coveted donuts!

Yelp
YUM!!!! everyone told us to try this spot and how iconic it is to Columbus and they didn't disappoint. As well loved as it is there will likely be a wait when you walk in but it's worth the wait. Service is quick, the menu is loaded with deliciousness, and the self serve coffee and drink stations are perfect. This spot is so cozy! Parking is smaller but there is plenty of options just take that into account. We went with a group of 6 and all of us were so impressed and stuffed. I would definitely go back!

Yelp

From the self serve coffee bar to the delicious pancakes made with their donut batter, this place truly has it all. When we arrived they told us there would be a bit of a wait, but we were seated within 5 minutes and had just finished pouring our coffees! We tried the blueberry pancakes, breakfast tacos, the jam, and a side of potatoes all the way. Everything we so yummy and hit the spot. Yelp
So this used to be a Donut Shop that had late night breakfasts back in the day (way back, like late 1980's) and was a favorite spot in the Grandview Hts neighborhood of Columbus. Well, I was back in town for my daughter's travel softball tourney at Beekman Park on campus, and needed a place to meet up for breakfast with a couple of old friends & fraternity brothers. Thus we found DK Diner and I didn't recognize the place until halfway through Brunch! Awesome place and still owned by the same family. Great drink and food menu and don't get me started on the doughnut bar offerings! Fortunately for me, it was a calorie cheat day and I took full advantage! Highly recommend, the wait staff were friendly, quick and efficient! Were happy to explain their offerings and were patient with my stories! And the setting is comfortable and inviting, but eclectic and fun! Enjoy!

Yelp
It was a nice place, but small in terms of seating capacity. They have inside seating and outdoor. Wait was not bad at all, about 15 minutes. First! All drinks are self served. Seriously. You got inside and thry have a coffee/tea bar and fridge with drinks. Just grab it after you order. Price is very reasonable and the pancakes are sooo good. I tried my husbands blueberry pancake that was made with their house donut batter. Highly recommend! BTW. The pancakes are HUGE!

Marcy M.

Yelp
We love this restaurant! They have the best food and the prices are great. I recommend the doughnut batter hot cakes, and whatever else because it's all good.

Yelp
A solid, no-frills diner. Seems to be a neighborhood favorite. Pretty busy at 9am on a weekday, but there were a few spots at the big central tables, and the bar seats were open. Some covered outdoor seating for overflow, but not in use today. Pretty casual, seems to be seat yourself, and I ordered from the chef. Biscuits and gravy, of course, for me, but there are lots of interesting options. All the usuals plus a few extra. Came up fast. The biscuits are homemade and unusual: square, fluffy, a little crispy on the edges. Perfect for gravy. Which comes in a huge bowl (by which I mean, a perfectly appropriate amount.) Doesn't seem to be homemade and the menu doesn't mention it, so probably canned, but a pretty decent version of that. Comes with meat or eggs (they have another item with all of the above.) I got bacon, and it was perfectly cooked. Drinks are a la carte from a cooler up front. Again, a pretty casual setup. Prices are very affordable. So, fast, good, cheap, and good service. I'd add a star if the gravy were homemade, but it was all pretty good.

Suchita S.

Yelp
DK is an old faithful and is the perfect place to come for post night shift breakfast because they have drinks. Came here with a large group (8 people) right when they opened which is tricky since it's a smaller space. They were very accommodating and didn't appear annoyed by our group. I got their new breakfast tacos without the bacon and they were super good! The salsa it comes with makes it 10x better. I also tried the French kiss (gin, grenadine, citrus drink) and it was strong on the citrus/gin front which I loved. Got a sour cream and blueberry donut to go. Their donuts are excellent. I preferred the blueberry one since the flavor is so prominent without being cloyingly sweet.

Deena K.

Yelp
Loved it! Great breakfast place. Had the home fries loaded. Was able to get a slice of French Toast instead of toast. The cinnamon in the batter made it great. I got an Apple Fritter to go but had to take a small bite. Delicious with lots of apple slices!! Will definitely go back when I'm in the area again

Madison L.

Yelp
What a cool spot! Tucked away in Grandview, if you're looking for a local midwestern delight, you've found it. It feels like going to the good grandma's house, it's feels a little messy, little wacky, and you leave with your pants feeling tighter and your smile always wider. My husband got the Donut Sandy, he says it was the perfect mixture of sweet and savory with loaded home fries to which he said "five belly pats." I got the brisket hash with a side of biscuits. The hash was packed with flavor and I got a side of the garlic mayo sauce- it didn't need the extra sauce, but if you want an additional tasty flavor it's the way to go! Drinks are self served which is nice because they stay busy. Our waitress was so nice and helpful- the service industry has definitely struggled to keep staff, so I hope they treat her well! She was so busy running back and forth, but she knew what she was doing it and managed it well!

Yelp
So, stop waiting until you lose ten pounds, until you gain ten pounds, until you have kids, until your kids leave the house, until you start work, until you retire, until you get married, until you get divorced, until Friday night, until Sunday morning, until you get a new car or home, until your car or home is paid off, until spring, until summer, until winter, until your song comes on, until you've had a drink.... there is no better time than right now to be happy.

Yelp
Fantastic meal. Great service. I highly recommend DK Diner. It might be a bit hard to find in the dark but well worth finding. I had the "Wake Up Burger" and upgraded the side from fresh cut chips to onion rings. The onion rings were large, delicious and worth the upgrade cost. The burger was hand made and a perfect size for me (maybe a bit big for others). The toppings and bun for the burger were very good but the bacon was fantastic. My wife got the Side Greek Salad and Chicken BLT with Garlic Mayo. I had an Orange Crush and my wife had a bottle of Apple Juice and Hot Tea to drink. The bill before tip was $42. The food came very quickly and it was reasonably priced. It's a nice casual place with a very nice atmosphere. A tip for first time diners, the drinks are self-serve and you pay for them at the cashier's counter when you get them. I believe this is a hidden gem for Columbus area diners.

Yelp
Service: When arriving, I was approached by a waitress who allowed me to choose where to sit, I chose the covered patio. I then ordered my food and everything came out exactly as ordered. Only strange thing was that you must get your own drinks and refills, I was surprised by this, but actually enjoyed not having to wait for a refill. 5 stars Food: I ordered Eggs, bacon, pancakes, French toast, and donuts and they were all delicious. The donuts don't look special, but wow they're were good. 5 stars. Ambiance: This location is perfect for brunch with friends, family, and even a first date. Not too loud or to quiet. I wouldn't suggest bringing groups larger than 6 people. 5 stars. Parking: The parking lot here is very small, I can imagine it getting full, but fortunately I drove my BMW suv today instead of my truck, so parking was a breeze. 4 stars. Conclusion: This place is a hidden gem. The food was excellent. I will definitely be back. The only thing that could make this place better would be if it was on a Mexican beach.

Keri L.

Yelp
Stayed in an Airbnb around the corner and decided to give this spot a try. Easy to find--small parking lot so we used street parking. Wasn't very busy so we went inside, sat ourselves at a "clean" table as the sign instructed. The table was clean but honestly--nothing else looked like it had been cleaned in a hot minute in this place. We were greeted right away and the server advised us of the drink station that is self serve and that she would be back to take our order. I got myself a cold brew coffee ($2.99) and hubby got a Gatorade ($3.29!!). I ordered the Jackie O (mushroom, Swiss, spinach and onion omelette) it came with hash-browns (shredded) or home fries (cubed)--I got the hash-browns and white toast. Neither of us ate the white toast but if you eat toast they looked toasted correctly. The hash browns were okay but soggier than I would like. Wish they were more crispy. The omelette was very good--had a good amount of filling. The bacon was good and crispy. Hubby really enjoyed his donut sandwich. It was certainly sticky but the flavor was great and he was pleased and said he would order it again if we somehow ended up here again...

Yelp
DK Diner is a fantastic little neighborhood spot in Columbus and worth a visit for locals and visitors (like me) alike! During a recent visit to Columbus, I came here at the recommendation of the friends I came to see and boy was it a winner. It's nestled in a nice neighborhood with plenty of character (though not too much parking, had to hunt for a space). We had excellent service from the host who seated us and our server who went out of her way to answer our questions. Speaking of seating, they have plenty of indoor and outdoor space to enjoy, and we opted for an elevated four-top table outside on this occasion. One thing that's very interesting here is that the non-alcoholic drinks are self-service. I'm 100% on board with that, though it may not be everyone's cup of tea (pun intended). The food itself was delicious, and I followed my usual rule when I see something particularly interesting on a menu: if it sounds like it's terrible for my health, I always order it! That honor fell to the Donut Sandy, which was delicious and quite filling. The donuts they have here are excellent, fresh, and homemade. My friends enjoyed their meals as well, and one shared a biscuit with me which was also just the right consistency. Prices for everything mentioned are fair and about what you would expect. Aside from challenging parking, hard to find any fault with DK Diner. If you are anywhere remotely close, come by and try them out for your breakfasting and brunching needs! Overall: 4.5 stars ---- Pros: - Fantastic food, with plenty of imagination and a boatload of quality. - Great and quick service. - Lovely outside seating and peppy/trendy overall ambiance. Cons: - Parking here is difficult, though you will find a space. Might just be a bit of a walk depending on how lucky you are!

Yelp
Completely worth the drive outside of Columbus proper. The feel of a true casual American diner, everything was tasty and portions were generous. Friendly staff and good service. Limited sitting, mix between self serve and service. Bathroom wasn't the best but I didn't go there for the restroom . When I'm back in the area again, will return for round two.

Eve R.

Yelp
One of our fave spots for breakfast! Parking is always weird since they have such a tiny parking lot, but we were able to find street parking nearby. When we went to put our names in for a table, there was confusion...the sign said go inside to the cashier but she just sent us back outside to the outside hostess table. No biggie for us, we were able to grab an open outdoor table. There were some seating issues happening to others while we were there -- people who had been on the list definitely had been forgotten. It happens, but I'd like to see that improved. Outside tables aren't as nice as inside. They're either bar height tall tables or picnic tables and it's not the most atmospheric patio. I mean, it's a diner so I don't expect fancy, but don't expect much if it's your first visit. The food makes it worth it! Also - drinks are self-service inside (for more first-timers.) There were some new menu items which was cool. I tried the breakfast tacos and they were suuuuuper good. Housemade verde was flavorful. Absolutely would get again! Didn't get any donuts this time, but follow them on socials to find out the new flavors they're rotating in lately (key lime pie, s'mores, etc.)

Sierrah K.

Yelp
Very interesting experience! We walked into this cute little diner not knowing what to expect. It honestly looks like a little run down diner, but I think that's what makes it so great! We were able to seat ourselves and immediately checked out the menus that were located on the table. This place has SO many options! We were a little confused when we sat down because nobody came to greet us. Finally, one of the girls looked at us and said "drinks are self serve" and pointed to the left side of the restaurant. They had plenty of coffee options, soft drinks, and a fridge with juices, water, energy drinks. We also had to hunt down silverware because our table did not have any. I think this little diner gets so busy and the focus is getting food out fresh to the tables, which I can appreciate! I decided to order the "Teny" Lil Breakfast and holy cow... so much food! You get two eggs, potatoes, breakfast meat, toast, and a pancake (or French toast). Be prepared for leftovers! I decided to try the pancake because they advertise their donut batter pancakes! They definitely have a sweet taste to them and are absolutely delicious! My wife ordered the DK All The Way and loved it! She's a sausage gravy snob... it takes a lot to impress her. The biscuits, followed by over easy eggs, followed by sausage gravy were nothing short of delicious! This plate is also huge! There is a patio outside with a full service bar. They advertise happy hour and have a bunch of different breakfast shots on their menu! There is also an area inside where you can buy donuts. By the time we arrived, a majority of them were gone. They are made fresh daily and there are a lot of options, including seasonal options. We will definitely be back to check out some of their different meals and drinks!

Stephanie L.

Yelp
I'll start with the food because it was very good. We both enjoyed our breakfasts, and I loved that they let me substitute sliced tomatoes instead of the potatoes my omelette came with. But. It was a small restaurant, with the tables too close together and not a lot of walking space around them. NOT the kind of place you want to be getting up to get your own beverages. But that's what it was...you had to line up to get your own coffee, water, soft drinks. We were there on a Saturday so it was pretty crowded. I just felt like I was in everyone's way every time I wanted a refill. The service (you know, minus the drinks) was the bare minimum. She was busy. She wasn't rude or anything. But if you enjoy *good* service, look elsewhere. They should probably just make it like a Panera style setup and 86 servers all together. That would have taken a few extra bodies off the floor so we could get to that blasted drink station. I would get takeout here, but we won't be dining in again.

Jordan G.

Yelp
DK Diner is a Columbus institution. If you go on a weekend, be prepared to wait, but that's not a bad thing. While you wait, grab a donut (one of the best in Columbus) and a coffee and take the time to explore the area. The breakfast burrito amazing! It has a great mix of flavors, and it's great for a whole meal or to split. I also really enjoy the pancakes. The restaurant itself is a little chaotic, but that's not a negative. It has a great old time diner feel.

Jennifer R.

Yelp
I have been wanting to eat here for a while, but have always encountered long wait times for a table. The trick is going on a Monday at lunchtime it seems. No problem getting a parking space and a table. The food is so delicious here. It's like diner classics kicked up a few notches. Not a place I thought I would ever be eating chicken curry soup, but I did and loved it. The service is casual, but super friendly. As others have said, the drinks are self service and the doughnuts are popular! This week, they have special pumpkin spice doughnuts.

Nick M.

Yelp
Great food and great environment. Love coming here; this is such a great local spot. Only downside is that it takes a good hour for a table on a weekend (but then again it's the weekend!). Great place to just grab donuts and coffee too.

Zaida L.

Yelp
The food was pretty good-- once we finally got it. Multiple waiters walked by us and one stared at us for quite some time while she chatted with what I assume to be her boyfriend? We asked to be helped and still nothing? My husband asked again and finally someone took our order. It was frustrating, especially having a baby with us. We likely won't be back.

Crawford B.

Yelp
The weirdest little diner I've ever been too not to mention the staff is rude unfriendly and not helpful the food is basic and not great I'm glad my friend was treating because I wouldn't have spent my money here

Adam G.

Yelp
We gave DK a try for brunch on Saturday. We were quoted at a 25 minute wait for four of us, so we gladly put our name in. After 9 minutes, our table was ready! As others have mentioned, all drinks are self service inside. I'm actually a fan of this, as it allows for refills whenever you'd like. It is also without a doubt easier on the servers. They have a variety of breakfast options and a full slew of burgers, sandwiches, salads and soups for lunch. I tried a blueberry cake donut and "the jam" breakfast sandwich. Sides are a la cart. The Jam comes with a sausage patty, candied bacon, over hard egg, white cheddar and elm sauce on a very buttery brioche bun. The sandwich was phenomenal, however I wasn't a huge fan of the elm sauce. I ended up using my friends sriracha mayo to dip my sandwich in, and it was amazing. I would get it again in a heartbeat. The donut was also really good. I would and am definitely planning on coming back.

Brianna K.

Yelp
Be prepared to wait- but it's worth it. Reasonably priced, and amazing taste. FYI, it's serve your own drinks, but it makes service faster! Been here twice, and can't wait until the next time!

bill m.

Yelp
I really like this diner but unfortunately had to remove a star. One thing that really annoys me is when you look at a businesses website to view the menu and pricing. Well this diner is pulling the old "bait and switch" routine. The prices in the restaurant are higher than the website menu. And not a little higher. The omelettes are about $2 higher. Get ready for that omelette advertised at $10.99 to cost you $12.99. not very honest pricing here.

Angel P.

Yelp
The food was good, I finished my whole plate! It's a fun place to grab some brunch and it's not expensive at all. I thought it was a good choice of a diner to catch up with some old university friends. I would definitely come back!

Michael R.

Yelp
This was the first time I went to DK diner for lunch rather than breakfast. I got the Phoenix hot chicken sandwich and a Caesar salad. Drinks are self service so unfortunately you have to grab your own but that's not a big deal to me. Over all I really enjoyed my food. My co worker ordered the Italian sub and I will say I don't know if it's worth $13, it was pretty average size/quantity of meat etc. As always I had to grab a few donuts on my way out as well. This is definitely a staple of Grandview I love taking friends to. Give it a try next time you're in the area.

Alex S.

Yelp
One of my favorite breakfast places in Columbus easily. The bacon jam and apple fritters are top tier

Ernie R.

Yelp
5 stars! We stopped here during our interstate travel through Columbus. The food was great. The kids loved the kids menu. Our dog enjoyed the outdoor patio seating. Highly recommended.

Samantha K.

Yelp
After several attempts to get a table at the very popular DK Diner, I FINALLY got a spot for brunch and it did not disappoint! It's your quintessential, cozy neighborhood diner. Everything on the menu looked incredible, so of course we had to order a nice spread of food. The Gladdington was big and super tasty - I loved the spicy mayo. The hashbrowns came out perfectly crispy, I definitely want to try them loaded next time! The pancake was huge, thick, and fluffy. It had a lemony taste which was unexpected, but great. Everything seriouslyyyy hit the spot - I know I'll be wanting to come back ASAP. The prices were very reasonable, too! Can't wait to try more dishes next time. Seriously recommend coming here!

Melanie S.

Yelp
I think I've been on a donut kick lately, so in keeping with the theme, had a weekday breakfast at the DK diner for my birthday. There is plenty of street parking behind and you enter through the patio. In the last year or so, they have enclosed two patios, so you kind of have to weave your way through to the entrance. My friend grabbed a table and we served ourselves coffee and water. I picked up some extra napkins from the coffee station, which was good because there weren't extras at the table. While we were debating the menu, our server asked if we wanted a donut "appetizer" and yes, we did! One apple fritter and a Long John, please. The fritter was great, decent chucks of apple and not too dense. We had a round of mimosas due to the occasion. Nothing too exciting, just cute little mimosas with blueberries on a stick, which was fun! For breakfast, I had an egg and cheese sandwich, but the real star was the side of loaded home fries. These fabulous little potatoes came with peppers, onions, and a blanket of real cheese on top. So good! (Personal preference here, but home fries over hash browns unless I'm at the Waffle House). Another round of donuts for the road - another long John and a blueberry cake. The Long John made me think of my grandfather, who got fired from the donut shop for putting in too much filling. They just cut the thing in half and layered the good stuff on. Win.

Paul J.

Yelp
Amazing place tucked in a neighborhood. I ordered Chorizo Hash and a pancake. This was the best breakfast that I have ever had. Absolutely delicious. Help yourself beverages and fast, friendly service. Great place

Austen R.

Yelp
When I first moved to Columbus, my coworkers said this was a must! I decided to go with a friend. The service was good. The food was pretty average. Just a run of the mill breakfast joint. The donuts were delicious though! The restaurant seemed like it could use a good scrub on the inside.

Hanh P.

Yelp
The DK Diner is an absolute must for breakfast. This diner gives me the Gilmore Girls vibe. It's tucked in a quaint neighborhood but always packed on the weekends. The host will almost always give you a 1 hour wait estimate because it's packed all the time but the most I've waited was 30 mins. If you're not in a rush, grab yourself a cup of coffee or tea at their self serve bar and take a walk around the neighborhood while you wait Their parking lot is small but there's plenty of parking around the neighborhood. Their hashes are a must try! I love their chorizo hash. But the items I got on Sunday were also yummy Donut Sandy - bacon, egg and cheese wedged between a donut is a perfect sweet savory combo Hot Chicken & Walffes - another hot take on a classic chicken and waffle except with crispy Belgian waffles and tenders paired with eggs and maple butter. I thought the chicken would have more of a spicy kick to it but it was just dusted with some cajun spice seasoning. Regardless, it's still delicious. There's definitely a theme here--we're team sweet and salty for breakkie.

Benjamin G.

Yelp
Food was great! Service was good. Drinks (coffee, water, etc) are self serve. We got there at 11am Saturday morning and they were already sold out of most donuts, so get there early. We did get to try the Apple fritter (B+) and a chocolate cake donut (A). Husband had chicken and waffles (A++) it was delicious. I had the egg sandwich (A) it was good, but next time I'm getting chicken and waffles. Look forward to our next visit!

Allen P.

Yelp
Cronut is a must try, 10/10! It's like a croissant and donut had a baby, absolutely scrumptious!

Karen c.

Yelp
Food was ok, asked for a little more gravy and was charged $2.79!!!. Waitress did not tell me i would be charged. Donut was terrible. Floor and bathroom not cleaned. Mounds of dropped food around booth table legs. Rugs never changed. Afraid to look closely in the kitchen. My hashbrowns tasted like onions with no onions. Never clean the griddle?

Yelp
Breakfast, every time has been great! Food is great, servers are friendly and attentive! This is my go-to for taking out of town guests to breakfast!

Yelp
Best spot in the Columbus area for breakfast & lunch! Try it once and I promise you will be back. The food never disappoints!! Don't forget to pick up some donuts on your way out--the blueberry cake is hands down the best blueberry donut in OHIO! 10/10 I always recommend this place to friends and family

Yelp
Simply put, we LOVED this place! We have been meaning to go for a long time, but Sundays are always jamming there. Fortuitously, there was no wait on our particular visit and we strolled right in. We were told to get ourselves coffee and drinks, which made the vibe feel like being in someone's kitchen. Our server was very kind and affable. There were a few times that she got wrapped up in the hustle, but it didn't bother us! She apologized profusely and gave us a discount, which was not necessary, but very gracious. I ordered the mushroom soup (absolutely homemade) and the turkey rachel with homemade chips- a good choice. My dining companions ordered biscuits and gravy, eggs, and the like. All were met with happy stomachs. We also ordered two donuts- a stick donut and a banana cream pie. I dream about that banana donut daily. We loved the cozy, welcoming, and homey feel of this place. I can't wait to get back.

Yelp
Service was friendly, very small place, lots of noise and the food was just ok. Lots of people seem to love it but I won't be returning.

Yelp
I had a really weird experience here recently. Our server was so unbelievably inattentive that it was shocking. My friend and I arrived midday, there were only one or two tables outside, and the weather was decent, so we sat down on the patio. It took our server several minutes to even acknowledge us. Once she finally came over, she merely said "are you ready?" No hello or anything. She also had a nastyyyy cough... After ordering, my friend and I chatted for a little while and didn't realize that drinks were self serve. No big deal, but would've definitely benefited from hearing that from our server. Another server dropped off our food shortly after, but walked away immediately. Unfortunately, we were missing a plate of food. We waited for our server to return to us, or even come back near our area, but she never did. My friend and I just went ahead and finished the food that we had. About 10 minutes after finishing, our server came back out and once again, didn't acknowledge us. She just started cleaning some tables, no check back or anything. We waved her over, asked for the bill, and requested that the food we didn't receive be removed and she just walked away. I guess she went to talk to her manager? All in all, the food that we did receive was ok. Nothing to write home about...but VERY poor service. I won't be coming back any time soon and definitely wouldn't recommend.

Yelp
I've been twice now and still just feel disappointed. Between the under-seasoned food and the overcooked chicken and waffle I just don't really find my self excited to return. The chicken was so tough to chew and the waffle didn't help. I really want to support local business and enjoy this, however all I can think of this diner is under seasoned poor quality Midwestern food. Some people love it, I get that, I think I just would like a better quality product for the $10-$20 breakfast range. Another few things that took away from the experience was the busy atmosphere, low amount of parking, and the ultra informal feel of seating. I'm sure I'll be back since so many of my friends think highly of this place, however until proven otherwise, I'm still going to be pretty neutral over DK Diner.
