"Dine in a tropical garden with a menu that features fun, refreshing twists on classic Latin food. Make sure to order the lechon asado (pork marinated in a mojo marinade) buns made with sour orange-achiote, aji amarillo (Peruvian yellow chili pepper), grilled pineapple confit, or Doce’s take on chicken and waffles served on top of a sweet plantain waffle with pickled peppers, guava, and Sriracha honey." - Allison Ramirez
"Normally, we are suspicious of cuban sandwiches that use salami, because that’s what they do in Tampa. And we don’t generally listen to people from Tampa—they dress up as pirates and like hockey. Weird. However, this Little Havana restaurant's cuban sandwich (which does use salami) is good enough to make us ignore our personal anti-salami rule for 15 minutes. We’re still wary of Tampans though. And you should know they only serve this sucker for lunch." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino
"There are almost as many places in Miami with fusion menus as there are with banana leaf wallpaper, but Doce Provisions pulls it off. This mostly Cuban restaurant just off Calle Ocho does dishes like shrimp po’boy tacos and fried chicken just as good as their more straightforward dishes—like the great Cuban sandwich or the arroz imperial, a skillet of rice and chicken thigh underneath a hot layer of cheese you should really let cool off before you put in your mouth. Whatever you decide to order, eat it on Doce’s back patio, which is a lovely little alley with string lights, a mural, and some vegetation." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo
"Doce Provisions serves Cuban fusion food a block north of Calle Ocho, and their Cuban sandwich and arroz imperial are both reason enough to come here if you’re looking for some good food in Little Havana. But if you’re also trying to eat outside, then Doce is absolutely the place to go. They have a very pretty back patio, with string lights, picnic benches underneath a pergola, and some murals you can stare at while you try to decide between that Cuban sandwich or the fried chicken with plantain waffles." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo
"Price Per Croqueta: $2.63 Doce Provisions does a great job of tweaking Cuban food without turning it into something unrecognizable, and their chorizo croquetas are a great example of that. The Little Havana restaurant makes our favorite (and only) chorizo croqueta on this guide. It's rich, smokey, dusted with queso cotija, and sitting in a mustard aioli. These take some time to fry and plate, so they’re not ideal if you’re in a rush, but the back patio is a fantastic place to hang out on a nice winter night. " - virginia otazo
