"Argentina-born Marcelo Doffo’s Italian roots inspired the budding winemaker to establish a winery in Temecula, which broadcasts classical music for the vines that birthed his still-popular red blend, Mistura, and has since fueled an expanding portfolio that includes a Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and a Vermentino, a more recent planting that grows well in the valley. Now overseen by his children, Doffo is also defined by the family’s passion for classic motorcycles, with almost 200 vintage motorcycles and scooters on display in the MotoDoffo Barrel Room, where visitors can sample wines produced by Marcelo’s winemaker son, Damian, and assistant winemaker Nadia Urquidez, a native of Ensenada who trained in Baja’s Valle de Guadalupe." - Candice Woo

If you love motorcycles, you MUST check this place out. Whoever you come here with can enjoy decent wine while you explore the collection of classic motorcycles that are amassed here! Tried the Zin, which might have been a good match but stuck with the Cab-Sav which was quite good.

A beautifully presented and maintained winery in California, with a wonderful collection of antique motor bikes. Several areas for sitting and enjoying the food from the food can accompanied by great selection of wines to taste. The service was great with good explanations of each wine. An added bonus was the live music and the food and craft stalls set up around the winery. Best to make a reservation to enjoy the scenery, food and wine.

We had a nice experience here. There are two areas. We sat in the one that had a more relaxed feel...at the end. Michelle was our server. She gave amazing service! 👏 She was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Out of the six wines we tried, we enjoyed three. Not bad. Doffo offered a menu from a food truck stationed on the premises. Didn't try the food but maybe next time. We were told Doffo will be serving beer sometime soon. Definitely looking forward to that!

Fun atmosphere! The flights of wine offered a nice variety. They are heavy on the red wines.

We were in the Temecula wine country as we often are. We went in one for wine pick up then planned to meet friends at another but had some spare time. We decided to give Doffo a try as we have seen it many times and have had several people tell us about the amazing motorcycle collection there but no one has ever said anything about the wine. Thought we would give it a try. Upon waking up it presents well with a relaxing environment. Inside the tasting area it was nice with a few collectibles. I asked and they were nice enough to open up the area full of motorcycles beautifully displayed. As far as the tastings go I think they fall short. Because we went to a different winery prior and we were going to another after we chose to split our 5 pour tasting. These 5 pours were the smallest I have ever received at a winery. Combined the 5 pours would not constitute a full single glass of wine ant it cost $41. Only one of these special reserve wines were something I would order a full glass. Tastings used to be something to find that special wine that you like but for the price of these tastings and only happy with one of the five why would I ever try another. Don’t think we will be back.

Amazing place for wine tasting. The 2020 Syrah is off the hook followed by the 2021 Malbec

Nice collection of vintage motorcycles. Definitely a red wine place, a very good Tawney Port if you like dessert wines. Limited food, although there is a food truck selling empanadas, both meat and veggie.

Yelp
I've been a wine club member at Doffo for many years because the wine is excellent. So when it came time to get married, there was no question that we had to have our wedding at Doffo. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience from start to finish. Sarah Raymer helped us to plan a beautiful event for our 50ish person wedding. She kept us on track with regular check-ins, was flexible in scheduling our tasting when covid got in the way and worked closely with both us and our other vendors to bring our vision to life! We had our ceremony up on the Colima, which despite the gloomy and chilly day provided a beautiful backdrop for us to exchange our vows that Samantha Doffo customized for our May the 4th wedding. After the ceremony our guests were shuttled down to the Piazza for the reception, which came together beautifully! There were heaters for the chilly evening, but after the dance party started, they weren't needed anymore. Sarah really took care of everything for us, and made our day as carefree and special as possible. Our guests had so much fun, as did we, and of course everyone loved the wine. It was also a nice treat to be able to stay in the onsite suite the night of the wedding so that we could just kick back and relax without having to go anywhere after the reception was over. A huge THANK YOU to Sarah and the Doffo family for taking excellent care of us and our guests!

Yelp
Stopped in for a spontaneous visit to Doffo and so glad we did. Walking up the path by the historic cork tree emerged this oasis of modern decor with a classic's twist. Mopeds, motorcycles and scooters are displayed along the pathway to the Moto Barrel Room. Among the black and white tones, garden beds and bushes emerge bikes on display. Interestingly unique atmosphere. Greeted by the entrance to the Moto Barrel Room. If you're looking for a table you'll need to be seated by a host. If you're just going for a tasting the bar top is open and ready. Bikes on display will make you feel like you're walking through the town museum. We opted for the bar top as this was a first stop and were graciously thankful for our wonderful host Susan. She was so awesome! Absolutely welcoming and made our visit enjoyable. The wines we tried were diverse. Each had their own flavor profile which instantly brought pairings to mind. Found some new favorites during our stay. First impressions.. tasty wines, see Susan! Not only did we enjoy the wines.. the service alone will bring us back for more. Fun facts: Doffo wine originates from their Italian ancestors who immigrated to Argentina in the early 1900s. Marcelo's grandfather, settled in Pampas, Argentina where he grew soybeans and corn and raised cattle. Marcelo Doffo grew up on that land, and it was there that his love and dedication to the art of cultivation began.

Yelp
Memorial Day weekend and drinking wine?... What could I say more ‍ And SUSAN!!! She's the best. So informative and extra welcoming. I'll be stopping by again for sure.

Eyad S.

Yelp
Pros: Great Wine Beautiful views Cool motorcycles Cons: Wine club membership limits to 1x pour a day. Was told this wasn't an enforced policy but was baited and switched. Hours 9-5 even on weekends is limiting.

Caitlin K.

Yelp
Just had the most beautiful experience here thanks in large part to Melody, my in laws were in town and she was so sweet and knowledgable, and truly made their visit so memorable. We will absolutely be back, and are definitely considering becoming members. Thank you, Melody

Delaynie K.

Yelp
We had such a lovely experience tasting here with Susan! The patio is beautiful and there is tons of room to spread out if you have a group. The wines were varied and interesting - they have multiple flights to pick from ask you can mix and match! Thank you Susan for such a wonderful day here

Darrelle W.

Yelp
Great ambiance - motorcycles throughout the winery & private motorcycle museum room with a bar! Perfect day for wine tasting with great friends!

Tanq K.

Yelp
Doffo was our first stop in Temecula. It was a pretty hot day but they made sure to have the misters going which was so nice!! We went with a club member and received excellent service. They even had some food available from the food trucks and other vendors. The highlight of the experience was the superb service from JALYNNE. We are from northern California and she answered and conversed about wine comparisons. It was nice to conversate with jalynne about what taste profiles I was looking for. Jalynne provided exceptional service and knowledge!! 5 stars!

Heidi O.

Yelp
Service was very friendly but the pours were downright miserly. I wanted to ask "are you mad at me??" The tasting was $36, so I think my expectations were just higher. It's our first time visiting Temecula (we're used to Napa) and I guess I erroneously thought Temecula would be a little bit more relaxed than it was. The wines themselves had some tasty options but so wildly overpriced I wouldn't even consider grabbing a bottle, unfortunately. Maybe one day $64 a bottle won't sound so crazy; but for now ...

Bobbie H.

Yelp
My first time in Temecula for a friends birthday, we can to Doffo for a wine tasting and some lunch! Although it was cold and raining that day, they readily had heaters available for the outside area so it was still very pleasant. The staff were very attentive and we tried 6 wines for only 36$. Loved their blend and Zinfandel. They had a food truck for some additional food options, which I tried the rustic grilled cheese! The location was beautiful with mountainous views and loved all the old motorcycles on display!

Maddy T.

Yelp
Cute little winery with not too much of a crowd! Doffo/motodoffo winery features all of their cool vintage motorcycles/bikes around their property. On a weekday during the summer there was only about 6 other people on site! We got their dessert wine tasting which gives notes of cognac. The 4 wines that we were given all tasted amazing and I do recommend trying it. The only thing is that the price is pretty high up there! After a 15% tip the final cost came to be about $43. Because there were no chair inside we sat out in the mist and waited for the wine to come. But because the workers were busy focusing on another crowd, we had to wait quite a while to get the last two wines. Overall this is a really cute place but because it's a smaller winery, the prices are pretty up there.

Jacqueline S.

Yelp
What a unique find in Temecula wine country! I came as part of a brunch tour with a local operator, of the 5 wineries we visited this was my favorite and many other guests said the same. The wine was delicious! The property is beautiful and the staff friendly. I got to met the owner Marcello who was kind and very engaging. So what's unique? The Moto aspect.. here you'll find a big collection of rare bikes displayed throughout and they also show races on the telly. The crowd is fun and not "stuffy"! Oh and I was lucky to get in on their huge sale. Came home with 6 delicious wines. For food I only tried the flan and it was yums! I'm definitely recommending and coming back... cheers!

McKenna H.

Yelp
We came here for my Birthday and Mother's Day yesterday. This great and had great views. The service was amazing and the wines and snacks there were delicious. This place is on the backside of the wine country. Will definitely come back and recommend Doffo.

Yelp
We have been visiting Temecula wineries for many years. In the past we have stopped at Doffo either as part of a festival or on our own. On this trip we were on our own and narrowed our 2 full days of touring to a few wineries. We visited Doffo on Saturday and they were not overly busy. At check in the hostess seated at a comfortable couch with a table outdoors in the shade. After a few minutes one of the employees greeted us and introduced himself as Mr. Doffo. He explained the tasting options and joined us for a discussion on the wines. We enjoyed several wonderful reds and my wife is a big fan of the viognier. The Doffo winery is a hands on family operation and producer of limited high quality wines. Before leaving we joined the wine club and look forward to being a member of the family of wine lovers. On Sunday we returned to enjoy the live music, wine and food available from a food truck. The food truck is a nice addition which had a variety of sandwiches. We also purchased their homemade lemon cookies that were melt in your mouth delicious.

Yelp
Visited this winery recently and was incredibly impressed. I was told the wines in Temecula, were getting better as I hadn't tasted there in over ten years, and I wasn't too impressed at the time. I'm older and wiser and after researching wineries I decided to check Doffo Wines out. I highly recommend you visit as there's so much variety you cannot miss here. You will have a great time and you will enjoy the wines along with the ambiance. They have the best chimichuri sauce and balsamic vinegar. Check this place out as fast as you can get there.

Michael Y.

Yelp
Branden, you are the "man". Took great care of our party. Explained each wine thoroughly. Just made sure we were well taken care of us the entire time. It was not an easy task as he literally was the only person working the entire outdoor patio seating area. Think they were short staffed but Branden made sure we didn't feel that way. The Zinfandel reserve was phenomenal. The regular Zinfandel was good too but splurge for the reserve if you can.

Denise A.

Yelp
While visiting Temecula for a quick getaway my hubby and I were on the hunt for a few new (and favorable) wineries in the region. This winery has so many cute and quirky additions to their fabulous setting nestled overlooking the valley. We settled on a bottle of cab and the lovely Susan allowed us to taste our selection before we purchased a bottle and offered to place it in a wine chill for us to enjoy. Personal touches like this go a long way when you just want to relax and enjoy life. Highly recommend this winery. We will definitely return next time we're in town.

Shauna O.

Yelp
Stopped in during our date afternoon of exploring wineries with my husband. Had never heard of doffo but drove past and decided to check it out. Huge thank you to Susan and her wonderful service and knowledge on all the wines we decided to try ! Was amazed at the variety of wine and flavors they have to offer as well as the visual aesthetics of the winery. We will definitely be returning!! Go visit Susan at the bar for an experience you will not forget !

Lisa M.

Yelp
We were so excited to try this winery and wow was it a disappointing experience. We got there and they were clearly understaffed, which I'm not docking stars for - in this day and age, it's understandable to have some staffing struggles. But even if you're understaffed, I feel like you can still make people feel welcome during the time you do interact, which was not the case today. It took nearly an hour to get 4 tastes at the bar and the person serving us didn't offer any explanation of the wines we were trying or seem happy at all to be there - I almost left halfway through the tasting because of how stressed I felt just watching the chaos and attitude behind the bar. The reds were good, hence the three stars - the blend was a little flat, but the Malbec was good. The sparkling was sweeter than I'm used to but drinkable. The service and lack of care was hard to get past though. I won't come back or recommend this winery.

Gabriela L.

Yelp
The service and ambiance was just awesome! We did not get a chance of tasting the food because we arrived in the evening and it was sold out. The rest would recommend ! The variety of wines makes them the perfect spot!

Lynette F.

Yelp
Loved the tasting. Great space to enjoy our sandwich. Fantastic knowledgeable server.

Cindy L.

Yelp
My favorite Vineyard in Temecula. My friend had never been to Temecula, so I decided to take her. So much fun! I used to race motocross, so this was exciting for me to share with her. Rose, Salo and Susan, thank you for making our visit special. I WOULD RECOMMEND

Kimberly R.

Yelp
Very good wines ! Service was a bit slow yesterday. Nice outdoor seating area, inside seating as well. They have food so that's nice . We shared a bottle of their Doffo Reserve Cab which was about $130. Between the 4 of us this was a good choice . Love the atmosphere and seeing all the old bikes and motorcycles on the walls.

Natalie R.

Yelp
We had the BEST time here!! Our server Nicole was so awesome, the love music was perfect and the views were stunning! The best date afternoon, great wine, all around amazing time. Very relaxing. Purchased the 2021 Zinfandel, I loved it and my boyfriend who doesn't really like wine (beer guy) liked it as well! Look forward to sharing the bottle with family, and sharing the experience with friends who need to check this place out!

Julie D.

Yelp
Doffo is our favorite winery in Temecula (along with our friends). The wine is delicious. The Paulina is a delicious bubbly. We always love the Zin and Syrah. Melody is super knowledgeable about the wine and quickly learns our pallet. Love the Italian ambiance in the main room and the motorcycle garage is fun! We always end up leaving with a super soft shirt too!!

Bobbi H.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday and it was amazing! The place itself is so cool and the service was fantastic. Melinda took great care of us, and also knew A LOT about certain wines. She gave us really good recommendations! I will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
This Review ONLY Addresses the Doffo Summer Concert Series - Brian Jones Rock & Roll Revival I saw a Doffo Facebook advertisement promoting their Doffo Summer Concert Series. I thought I would try something new and purchased the $79 VIP tickets for the Brian Jones Rock & Roll Revival show. I will start off with the good things and there was a lot of good things. We arrived early and was met by a very pleasant young lady who greeted us and invited us to purchase a glass of wine while we waited for the admission to start. We sat in a very beautiful seating area and had an excellent glass of Viognier. Once admitted to the venue, we were seated at a table overlooking the stage and the beautiful Temecula wine country. We made some new friends. The food was excellent. We ordered more wine which was excellent (one small complaint I will address below*). It was all excellent, the wine, the food, the friendly staff, beautiful winery grounds and gorgeous views. Then the band started. Uh oh - not good. The band was simply awful! I don't think they bothered with a sound check because a least one mike was not working. Not that it mattered as the sound was horrible. The lighting was horrible. The lead singer couldn't sing. They fashioned themselves as a Rolling Stones tribute band however the songs were barely recognizable. Did Doffo even bother to listened to this group before hiring? We kept hoping they would take a break so we could talk with our new friends, watch the beautiful sunset and avoid the irritating noise that was emanating from the band. We finally left after about an hour. We could tell from the half-filled audience and muted appreciation, we were not the only one unimpressed with the band. I highly recommend Doffo winery. Go there when they don't have live music and be sure to avoid the concert series! *My minor complaint: Wineries these days like Doffo make autistic, cute label, some add cute poetic phrases (this wine is like walking on the beach at sunset, blah, blah, blah) but they don't include the varietals on bottle label. A minor annoyance but an annoyance. Five stars for Doffo, but I give Doffo one star for hiring the band - equals 3 stars.

Andrea H.

Yelp
Beautiful Winery however, our pourer not so much. I found her to be arrogantly inattentive. The pours were small, the wine expensive. Never been to a tasting where glasses weren't rinsed between pours. Never been to a Winery where a bottle was finished in one pour but not enough to fill the glass, so a new bottle was added. Never been to a Winery where only one person out of our party of 4 was offered a taste (I assume because he expressed his intent to purchase). Would not recommend. Better choices.

Lucy H.

Yelp
We have lived here for almost 10 years...have driven by doffo everyday on my way to work, today we decided to give the tasting a try...if you are a fan of reds ...doffo is it! We did th me tasting and were a fan of all of them...that never happens. The place is small and intimate which we loved. Our server was Melody and she was beyond amazing! We decided to become members on the spot, it was that good! Highly recommend if you are looking for great tasting wine! The chimichurri was an additional plus, soooo good!!

Keka C.

Yelp
Meh... I was expecting more, I suppose this is what happens when you listen to others. Went with a group over the weekend and let's just say it wasn't good. We were extremely disappointed in the service, food and most of all the ambience or lack thereof. It was our least favorite winery and we saved it for last since two people had recommended it due to the wines. Will definitely not recommend this winery as it is lacking and subpar. For a great time head to Europa, Altisima, or Monte de Oro. You're welcome :)

Elio L.

Yelp
I stopped by this place to do some tasting. Easy to drop by and be seated with no reservations. Shout out to Susan who was a great host behind the bar. Some great reds. We ended up with the malbec and zin. Some of the best reds all around. Recommend.

Lucy N.

Yelp
Unfortunately Doffo missed the mark in many ways compared to other wineries in the area mostly due to the ambiance or lack there of. Food is mediocre and served in disposable containers and the flavors simply didn't impress. The wines were decent especially the Malbec. I was looking forward to an overall good time but something was off. We may have been unfair comparing Doffo to other wineries we really liked, like Altísima, Ponte, Fazeli because they are just better but I cannot stress enough how it lacks the fun energy of the aforementioned wineries. Common consensus... WE'LL NEVER RETURN Also the wine is incredibly over priced.

Kassidy M.

Yelp
Love the wines! The food truck on site was great as well although maybe a bit overpriced. Friendly staff but a bit slow.

Vanessa J.

Yelp
A friend recommended Doffo Winery and we had a great time! We had made reservations- and we were greeted by the hostess. We sat outside- it was a beautiful day! Branden was our server and he was exceptional. He gave us the back story of Doffo and was very knowledgeable on the wines. Highly recommend and ask for Branden!

Diane M.

Yelp
The staff are wonderful and the wines are superb! We have been coming here for over 10 years! Never disappointed. Marcelo was even bussing tables to help out today! The best Malbec in Southern California in our opinion! We love this winery!!

Sunny B.

Yelp
There's a lot to be said for first impressions. I had a friend in town this week from the east coast and it was her first time in Southern California. I showed her all around San Diego county and on her last day, I hired a driver to take us up to Temecula to go wine tasting. The driver exclusively serves the wineries and Doffo was one he recommended, as did another winery when I told them we liked reds. We arrived at around 3:50PM and the lady with gray shoulder length hair told us they weren't doing tastings anymore that day, only serving glasses and bottles. We said OK and started looking at the menu. I asked her what times during the day they typically do tastings in case I ever came back, and she didn't respond. I asked her again during which hours the tastings are typically held. And then she said it all depends. I asked what it depends on. She then said it depends on the manager and when they want to stop doing them each day. I was kind of surprised and asked what she meant. She said curtly that they had a lot to do to before closing at 5 so we should hurry up and decide what we wanted to drink. She then walked away from us. We left. I'm not sure what happened yesterday but I won't go back. We walked across the street to the neighboring winery and were welcomed warmly. I'd recommend going there.

Dena G.

Yelp
This place is so amazing Susan the manager is so nice and kind. She treated us like family! Highly recommend. Also the motor room is so cool with all the old motorcycles.

Nancy B.

Yelp
Went in yesterday and wines were great but as usual, the greeting was not welcoming as the other 3 wineries we belong to

Amanda P.

Yelp
Nicole went above and beyond to ensure my experience was extraordinary. She detailed each wine and suggested a wine based on my personal preference. She excelled at selecting a wine that was best suited for my personal pallet. The service was 10/10, the view was incredible and the ambiance was calm and not overwhelming.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Wow. Wow. Wow. Our day started off a little rocky with the hostess Amber, but Susan stepped in and won us over. She was an expert in the wine and history and she led us toward some amazing tastes. We are so happy we spent our rainy Saturday with Susan! We can't wait to come back.

Julie B.

Yelp
What a great job the server Skye did sharing the dessert flights with our group! Can't wait to return.

Leticia C.

Yelp
Sue was an excellent host, we'll diffidently come back because of her. Wine was great! Views were great! Food truck food was good as well.

Jeneé W.

Yelp
Have been members since 2019. Great wines and if you're fortunate to meet the family they are always an enjoyable interaction.

Yelp
Having a great wine tasting! First time here. Skype was such an awesome hostess!! Thanks for a great experience!

Yelp
2022.04-09/SAT_1400: Holy moly! This winery was nothing like I expected. It was beautiful and set out further than the rest of the wineries. It was gorgeous. They provide a shuttle from your parking spot to the winery. The whole winery was geared to what type of privacy you were looking for. The decor was contemporary and the layout was perfect if you are solo or with a large party. The outdoor dining rooms were beautiful. Each area was decorated with trees and flowers. There were misters all over the winery. With the weather being so perfect and the light breeze, it was comfortable and cozy. We had the best table set in the back of the outdoor dining area. It was private with a couple of two tops to the left and right. Today there was an anti-traffiking event sponsored by Ride My Road so the winery was packed but you were still able to see most of the memorabilia. They had a silent auction for the event so there were vendors set up for the auction. I ended up winning an item! Somehow they were able to build a winery with an awesome motorsports museum. The pieces of decor in each room, indoor or outdoor, had to do with motorsports so there were antique bikes and memorabilia everywhere. It was incredible. This is the perfect place for anyone who loves motorsports like us! The wine was delicous. Our server was extremely knowledgeable when it came to Doffo's wines. Heston explained how their wines were processed by concrete fermentation. He had very good suggestions on what to expect and what to pair each wine with. We didn't eat much and had the charcuterie. What an excellent choice for the wine tastings. We had such an amazing experience. When you have good servers who are knowledgeable about the products, they can suggestively sell them well to ensure your experience is top notch. We will definitely be back! #doffowinery @doffowinery #winery #temecula #wineries #motodoffo #ridemyroad @ridemyroad #rilakkuma #mortimerthebear #mortimerandfriends #yelpelitelife #wine #everywherebear #relaxbear @blackstitchlabel #blackstitchlabel

Yelp
A great time with a wonderful family. The food was amazing! The Cabernet wine vertical was an interesting twist. I like the 2017 vintage the best.

Sandra M.

Yelp
We were told we were not able to have a tasting because of the time BUT Jelica came to our table and ensured that we were would be able to have the full experience. Let me just tell you that Jelica stole the show and made sure our party was more than taken care of. She was THEE best and our party of 8 was forever grateful to her for giving us the best experience. We even heard some workers talking about her for taking us so late but being in the service industry, you have to cater to everyone! Not just those that look like Ken and Barbi. Thank you Jelica for making our experience worth it! We'll come back just for you!

Oliver J.

Yelp
This Winery has gone from best to worst in the past year. Overpriced and under delivered. The winery is obviously losing money so as a response they have cut the staff and raised prices. Taking my wine membership down the street to one of the many wineries that offer food and music along with their wine.

Jarek M.

Yelp
This winery is definitely one to visit and come back to. Lovely location with beautiful views, not to miss sunsets, and fantastic grounds. The main theme of this winery is motorcycles. You can see them nicely displayed throughout the whole winery which makes this place very unique and interesting. There a few spots where you can hangout and taste some good reds as well as grab some snakes from a food truck. We really like red wine so opted to do red wine testing with flight that serves two guests. Our choice was New Release flight. Our server explained in which order to sample the wines and told us a bit of story behind some of them. She also brought us some homemade chimichurri with bread sticks to pair it with Merlo which helped to bring all the wine flavours. My favourite was Zinfandel, but in general, all their reds are very smooth and easy on the palate. Fantastic wine and friendly staff makes this place very enjoyable. We will be back!
