Domo Domo delivers a thoughtfully crafted experience with beautifully simple design and dishes that truly have character. We did the Domokase, and it was incredibly well-balanced and flavorful, with each course flowing naturally into the next. Reservations were easy and we were seated right on time. The only small miss was the first dish being a bit bland, I’d recommend a burst of grapefruit. However everything after that was excellent. Sub-$100 tasting menus that actually hit on flavor are rare… Domo Domo is one of them. A standout spot in Dallas and one I’m excited to revisit as the menu changes seasonally.

Impeccable service, ambiance, and cuisine. I really loved the miso cod/kabocha squash in particular, and the chewiness of the cold noodles was absolutely perfect. Our party of six was quickly and easily seated, and all dietary considerations were accommodated with no fuss. Many restaurants require all guests to order the same dishes if trying tasting or omakase menus, but Domodomo Kō didn't mind half of us trying the sushi set, one ordering vegan a la carte dishes, and two ordering the omakase. The kitchen timed our various courses beautifully and served us very thoughtfully. My favorite dishes from the hot food section were the buttery tender miso cod paired with kabocha squash, and the $49 sushi set comes with a ton of food for phenomenal value (hamachi crudo, 10 pcs of omakase nigiri, plus two hand rolls). We were absolutely stuffed by the end of it, thanks to dessert, cocktails, and a complimentary dish from the chef. Our server Eric was beyond patient with us, and I have to give a special shout-out to both the sushi chef and the chef managing the hot dishes. We greatly enjoyed our visit, which was the highlight of a long work stint in Dallas.

The 3 course experience is so good! Such a great value and I love that you can get it for lunch. It was a great 1st experience overall, friendly staff, everything came out in a timely manner. Very impressed with the sushi offerings. I would suggest they add some more non alcoholic beverages/mocktail like an iced tea, lemonade, etc. I would definitely recommend and looking forward to visiting again!

DOMODOMO in Dallas was an incredible experience from start to finish. The restaurant is very aesthetically pleasing, modern, and clean. The service stood out right away, with the staff changing out cutlery and plates between every course, and everything felt thoughtful and elevated. We started with the cucumber starter, which was so fresh and crisp, followed by the cold noodles that were light and flavorful. The hamachi crudo was excellent, bright and balanced. We also ordered toro, tuna, and snapper nigiri, and each piece was so fresh and clean tasting. The snapper in particular was outstanding. The fried chicken was a surprise favorite and something I would recommend to anyone visiting. We also had a few hand rolls, and the miso ginger cod hand roll was the star of the night. For dessert we tried both options, and the shisho dessert with cornflakes was unique and absolutely delicious. Every server we interacted with was kind and professional, the restrooms were spotless, and we even had the chance to meet one of the managers who was genuinely warm and welcoming. This was one of the best dining experiences I have had in Dallas, and I will definitely be back.

Took my partner here for their birthday lunch and was extremely disappointed when they made no effort to minorly celebrate that. A different table got to have a sparkler dessert but we did not :( I don’t even care if that’s something not offered, however it is very distasteful that we were straight up forgotten and left out. Especially when I made a reservation specifically notating it was for a birthday and also reminding staff once we arrived. The interior is great with all the natural lighting. And the 4 course lunch set was fine, nothing too memorable or would make you want to come back. My favorite item was the hamachi crudo.

Now the food, I don’t know if my expectations were too high or what, but I found everything to be kinda mediocre. I do like that they have a tasting menu that’s a really reasonable price. The service was pretty slow, but that might have been because I only saw 1 actual server.

By far one of the best sushi spots in DFW. The space is intimate with a beautiful atmosphere, the staff is amazing, and the food completely blew my mind. Everything was creatively crafted — very unique and not simple or repetitive like many other omakase experiences. Highly recommend!

I wanted to like place, but I wasn’t impressed. I’ve never been to any of the Domo Domo’s so I didn’t know what to expect. As we sat down, we notice that it wasn’t like any traditional sushi bar or bar service. The atmosphere is very clean and minimal. It was our servers second shift serving and that was super apparent. At first, I was a little bothered because he didn’t explain the menu or even asked us if we’ve ever been there. We thought it was just omakase because the menu was already on the table and we didn’t get the full menu until after asking us what we wanted to order. ANYWAYS, we just ordered the omakase and a few nirigis. Tuna and flounder nirigis Soy forward rice, rice > protein ratio. Tuna tasted a bit off. Omakase $95 - Pricing is actually affordable. First - Amberjack, smoked broth (so light that the taste disaapeared, no but really it didn’t have much of a flavor) Second - Octopus, probably the best dish here. Super tender and tons of richnessness from the calabrian chile (could be a little overpowering) Second - A5 Japense Wagyu +38, is it worth the extra? It was more soy forward, cooked nicely. Just depends what you’re craving. Third - Wagyu Carpaccio, kinda liked this but acid levels were a bit high Fourth - Branzino, mine was overcooked. My partners was nice, fluffy and tender. It didn’t feel like a high end dish though. Fifth - Hwe Dupbap, I liked the overall flavors of the dish. Sixth - Hojicha Pudding & Matcha Mochi, this was a delicious and perfectly executed dessert. Cocktails Matcha Martini - powdery Lychee - super strong Side note: our waiter was on his second shift so I can’t really be mad at him for not introducing each dish or knowing what’s good or not. I do expect at least somewhat of an introduction and guide on the menu. We noticed the host/manager on the floor, which you could see gave certain attention to certain tables. SO, was it worth it? There were some good dishes in the omakase, nigiris (pass), cocktails aren’t that great - stick to wine, hojicha pudding is a must. For two, our bill was about $350 + tax etc.

Made a reservation to join some friends for dinner. I was lucky to find parking in the lot but most people park in the garage or street (the restaurant can validate parking). The restaurant has a modern exterior and interior design. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated with our friends. To our surprise, our waiter had served us at a different restaurant in the past! We all ordered the four-course sushi dinner which included refreshing sashimi, 5 sushi assortments, 5 torched sushi, and 2 signature hand rolls of our choice. I was impressed by the variety and creativity of each item. My favorites were the butterfish with banana pickle, sweet shrimp with lemon salt, and the negi toro hand roll. For dessert, we ordered the shiso icecream and black sesame panna cotta. Both were delicious! Overall, this was a wonderful experience to share with friends. The presentation, quality, and flavors were excellent. Highly recommended!

Ate here quite a while ago and never left a review, but seeing the food poisoning controversy come up, I feel inclined to. I woke up on the middle of the night with food poisoning after eating here. I thought maybe I had just eaten too much, but this is the first and only time this has happened to me. And now I know it's happened to others as well. As I didn't want to unnecessarily harm the reputation of the business, I did not initially leave a review. But now seeing that several others have had a similar experience, and that the restaurant is handling the matter very unprofessionally, I decided to share my story as well. Not to mention, it is one of the most expensive meals in Dallas, just to get sick. Until they handle this in a better way, steer clear.

Enjoyed a Friday lunch here with a girlfriend. The price is very good for the quality of sushi. The waitstaff was attentive and the ambiance was peaceful. We have already booked another reservation to go again.

Located in a very cute, modern, farmhouse-esque building. They do come with free parking, ask your server to validate and they will validate up to three hours. Food was good, the fish was delicious and I found their sushi to be imaginative (in a good way!). Their signature was a wonderful dish. Its a little pricey, we ordered the four course plus the signature and it was enough for us to feel satisfied but not super full. Service was good but it felt like our server was not super knowledgeable about the menu.

Looks like I'm on the other side of enthusiasm for this place. They're known for their handrolls, so I focused my energy there and it was suggested to me I must try the Korean fried chicken. If I described the total eats experience in two words: boring and subpar. I'd return if I had a date because it's chic and has a vibe, but there are better options in the city if food is the focus.

I loved everything about this experience. The location was open and light. It felt like warm sunshine. The service was helpful and attentive. The sushi was fantastic. We went for the lunch special and it was spot on. I will be back.

Fun tasting menu that is well thought out and delivered in great rhythm/creativity. Staff is knowledgeable, attentive, and very welcoming. Great location in the heart of uptown with very modern vibes and appeal.

I got the 4 course sushi dinner for $49. This is a great price for the quality of sushi and the amount of food that you get. It tasted very good & if I'm basing the review just off of food, I would give it a 4/5 stars. I got to the restaurant right when the opened, and the man at the front was very kind and sat me quickly. Since I was the only one there, I could hear the people working talking very loudly and cursing- it was a bit off putting. My server was also not the most helpful and a bit sarcastic at times. The combination of the two threw me off a bit & it why I'm removing a point from my review.

One of the few times I thought a high end restaurant was worth it. This place is modern, offers a delicious array of omakase selection, innovative and interesting dishes that switches things up after each course. I couldn't be happier. I really love how the restaurant looks with its modern Japanese/Scandinavian inspired decor. It's beautiful! Each omakase course is really delicious and the sushi fish was fresh! All the plating was done so beautifully that some of them was almost too hard to eat (well, not really!) hahah. I highly recommend this place for a date

This is a great value place for sushi in DFW! Parking was easy to find and they validate parking in the garage. They are able to seat my group quickly for a Sunday dinner and our server was great! Shout out to Lee, he was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu. We ordered the Four Course Sushi Dinner for $49 which is a great deal for the quality! Everything tasted very good so I highly recommend the four-course dinner. We also added the shiso ice cream and black sesame panna cotta. We enjoyed the panna cotta more! The restaurant was smaller than I expected but we were not cramped - The ambiance was very intimate and very relaxing.

Interesting concept, I heard it's popular in the New York area. Let's get this out of the way... the sushi is pretty forgettable. However, the other dishes are quite good. I especially like the carpaccio dish. They really went over the top in presentation as the "cracker" for this dish was held in this big "vegetable garden" setup. If you order the caviar handroll, they roll out this giant cart and make it in front of you. Like I said, they really go all in with presentation. The negative is you might leave Domodomo hungry since the portions are on the smaller side.

I had a great time at domodomo. They offer valet parking and there's also a parking lot/garage nearby too. This restaurant is more like a casual fine dining omakase experience. Menu changes monthly I believe. My all star favorites were the scallop juk and American wagyu yukhoe. Each dish is beautifully presented and explained. They change out your dishes and utensils after each course. It's like a modern take on Korean fusion dishes. It's definitely filling for $135. Would be a super cute date night spot. Highly recommend trying out!

Domodomo offers one of the most reasonably priced Omakase in Dallas. Additionally, diners can choose entirely or supplementally from the à la carte menu. But for me, the Omakase is the way to go, at $95 for 6 courses which regularly change (Jan 2026). It's a walk through Japanese cuisine, with more than just sushi. Flavors are wonderful, distinct, and balanced. Beautiful plating and very good service. The owner is present and very helpful when questions arise. Lots of Sake choices plus sake and Japanese gin-forward cocktails. A very nice evening out in the new quad. Valet parking on the weekends.

A new must try in Dallas! I love their location in NYC, so I was so excited to hear they were opening in Dallas. The ambience is modern and beautiful. Service is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was incredible! My friend and I did the omakase and every course was amazing! Some of my faves were the opening course with the oyster, the nigiri were excellent, and the yuzu shiso apple sorbet ice pop at the end-divine! I can't wait to come back soon!

Food 4 Ambience 4 Service 2 Value 5 Food was actually pretty tasty, well presented and for the cost a very good deal. However the service is haphazard at best. I could see they were short staffed but somehow don't make you feel very sympathetic to them. Like they are knowingly ignoring you. Wanted to like this place but just couldn't.

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Having been to many 3 star Michelin experiences, you get to a point where you aren't wowed that much anymore. That was not the case here. The restaurant is in a beautiful new development in Dallas. It was quaint and clean. The place itself is pretty stunning. Every course felt special. The wine was served correctly. The staff was attentive. The pace was perfect. The desserts were both absolute winners. We agreed that we could see this establishment being in the Michelin guide. I think what may be holding them back is that there is no a la carte menu and it's the same omakase menu since they opened. The flavors justify the 5 stars and wr are excited to see this restaurant become a big name in the Dallas scene. We also thought the price point was just right. And to clarify, we would come here over many Michelin star restaurants any day.

Very poor customer service and ill choices on how they treat paying customers who got food poisoning

Lovely dinner here. Ambiance is beautiful, upscale but not overly fancy. Server was great. Domo kase was delicious and a great value. Drinks are expensive; but pretty good.

Domodomo is a splurge-worthy meal and experience. There's only one omakase menu - though with the option for add-ons or upgrades, such as salmon to wagyu for one of the courses. There's an extensive drink menu as well, including some fun non-alcoholic options. My favorites were the wagyu, the salmon, and mulhoe, as well as all the desserts. Each dish is very carefully prepared. Many have a backstory/foundational inspiration in common Korean cuisine, and they use their ingredients very creatively, playing with tastes and textures. Some fine dining places run the risk of doing "too much" without the creativity and quality to back it up, but Domodomo hits a good balance. The space is fairly small and doesn't seat a ton of people, but the staff is very attentive to each party there. Overall very happy we tried it out.

This restaurant took us a while to try but my whole discerning group loved it. The food and service was Michelin level quality and presentation. The omakase was presented simultaneously for all four of us. Timed and staged perfectly. The flavors were fantastic and unique. The style of the restaurant was very modern with warm tones. We really appreciate the acoustics to have a conversation without the need to scream. If you're on the fence, get off of it and make a reservation. We will definitely be returning

Where to start? DomoDomo Jersey City and NYC has been a reliable staple for years while I lived there. DOMAKASE for $89 with an assortment of a la carte to choose from and delicious cocktails? It was a fun, casual vibe that you could go for any occasions. The sushi stood on its own and the meal could have been an occasion to splurge or a casual weekday dinner. Having recently moved to DFW I was excited to try this new DD concept. I'll start with the good: The presentation is a step up from the OG Domakase. It falls in line with the new upper scale omakase establishment they're going for. However, that's where it ends. The not so good: Flavors and atmosphere. Our server was knowledgable in regards to the menu, but we didn't feel any air of happiness while we sat there. It felt all too serious. The manager/owner? Asian gentleman with a suit came to help with one of the courses but didn't say a word or smile. I usually don't care, but again i'm comparing to the Domo that I know from back home. On to arguably the most important thing: Flavors. None of the dishes which came out left me wanting to order more if I could. They were all either better or worse than the last. More often times than not were too acidic and not well balanced (i.e the capaccio with Taro crackers, crackers were great.) The rice that was brought out during the sashimi portion was really random and didn't add any value. We were told we could make hand rolls, but with 7 pieces of sashimi (one piece cooked black miso cod) and only 2 nori rolls. What was the point? I missed the hand rolls options of the old Domo. The whole experience was giving trying to hard to pivot into finer omakase dining. The OG Domo would have been beloved here

Came here for Mother's Day dinner and we loved pretty much everything! Even our 13 month old enjoyed the scallop congee and one of the fish dish. Service was great. Ambience is classy and upscale. While I wouldn't call this place kid friendly (I was very wary of our baby potentially crying and disturbing others who were mostly couples/friends/older families and was relieved that she did well), the staff was very friendly and at times played pick a boo to keep her entertained. I can't wait to come back!!

Reservations were easy to book online through Resy. Parking may be a bit tricky but they offer valet parking during peak hours. Read the signs before you park around that area. Overall service was okay. We were given the wrong check and only noticed before signing it. They did make the corrections. A few dishes were overly salty but the best dish was probably the dessert.

Food was absolutely amazing! However, we told them it was our anniversary and was very disappointed they didn't make it feel special or acknowledged it.

Loved domodomo. Admittedly, I had some reservations as I've found that several restaurants from LA and NYC come to Dallas and become a bit more about the scene and the name than the food. Domodomo was all about the food and it was fantastic. The omakase, seasonal menu was full of flavors which were well thought through. I loved the presentation, particularly the sushi one with the stackable bowls! I obviously won't go into detail as the menu will continue to change but I loved the oyster and the main dishes of the acrctic char and the A5 wagyu which came with 6 kinds of "side dishes" which were essentially there to eat with the meat. The dessert of the granny smith yuzu shiso popsicle was so unique and absolutely divine. The service was as attentive as can be. I think the price point is just right for the amount of food you get with the quality. I'd take this place over a Nobu any day. We had booked via Resy easily enough but I'd recommend trying this place out before all the hype hits!

Ordered the black cod. And the cauliflower. Very, very well executed. Might be one of the best black cods I've ever had. Definitely go here. Very stylish and great value. Can't wait to come back for dinner.

Definitely a very special and unique dining experience. Every item of the omakase is carefully thought out and presented. The sushi itself was some of the most incredible sushi that I've had. If you are looking for a truly memorable event, this is the place for you.

First time at DomoDomo with some friends and the experience was amazing! The pace of the courses was great, and the staff was extremely attentive. We got pretty full from all the courses and were presently surprised by the flavors of many of the dishes. The inside is a bit smaller than I thought from pictures and videos, but it's cozy in a good way. This is a great experience to have with friends, family, and partners!

We were excited to try a new place, but the space itself is very generic and the rolls are extremely awkward to eat having to remove the plastic wrappers before you eat same. The explanation we received from the staff is that they don't want to touch the food, so they use plastic wrappers. I don't understand how the staff can avoid handling food, and 3 different waiters ended up handling our rolls in an effort to explain how to remove the plastic. Too bad because the ingredients themselves are fresh and tasty.

This checked all of the boxes. Intimate dining. Beautifully presented, inventive and delicious dishes. Alcohol free, sparkling Riesling wine. Impeccable service. Go ahead and splurge. You have my approval.

We all have a favorite sushi/Japanese place. This resets the bar. Sushi and sashimi pristine with outstanding presentation. Some unexpected takes on the traditional. Servers are there to guide you....gently. Amazing dining experience!

Love this new restaurant in Dallas~ the food was amazing and the service was fabulous! Would highly recommend for a special occasion.

WOW. We were absolutely FLOORED. Hands down the best meal and "eating experience" we have EVER had. Service was absolutely impeccable. With so many omakase places now in Dallas, DOMODOMO takes it to another level. The different flavors in each dish, the presentation; we were just completely wowed. Everyone there, each server, the sommelier, is helping out at every table. For just recently being open there are ZERO kinks that need to be ironed out! It was such an amazing experience and also very reasonably priced compared to other omakase/plated dinners. It is not all sushi. It is a perfect dance of textures and flavors that ends and makes you want more. Although we were so full! Beautiful space, small and intimate. Water glasses and wine glasses were never empty. Cutlery got changed at every course. My husband dropped a bit of sauce on the table and within 20 seconds someone came by to quickly clean it up. I am not one to review often, but this place is 5 stars. I even embarrassingly took photos of a few courses but I wish I did more. I cannot express how wonderful this place is. Dallas is lucky to have you DOMODOMO! We will be back!

OK, so this is my best kept secret!!! I absolutely love this place. Now given that is not a place that you go to on a regular basis for special occasions because of the price. But you get what you pay for.! Usually tasting menus can leave you hungry but this satisfied us! We didn't have to grab a a slice of pizza after the menu is exquisite. You can taste the freshness in each bite. I can't wait to go back. I cannot say enough honestly I don't have anything negative to say about this place! I just wish they changed their menu more often. That way I can go all the time.

Great new omakase spot in Dallas! The 7 course meal felt more like 12 courses with the amount of food you get. They do get you with some of the upgrades like A5 Wagyu or Caviar hand roll which are additional. But overall was a great experience and won't doubt if this makes it on a Michelin guide down the road. The servers were very attentive and they even if a nice wine list.

Love omakase and tried a lot in CA and NY and overseas. New to Dallas but tried other omakase in town. I would say this one very soso in terms of taste. Flavors are lacking, their kimbap roll is actually a dupe from Michelin star restaurant Junsik's signature dish and it is not a good dupe. Sushi were not good. Seasoning of the rice non existent. The wagyu carpaccio was good. Then I really didnt understand the risotto in a omakase menu. Did wine pairing the traditional one. Bad ones. Might be the worst pairing I ever had. I hope it gets better with time

10/10 experience. The food was immaculate, & the service was top tier. Worth every cent! I will absolutely be going back without question
