"At Duffy’s Tavern, an Irish pub on Staten Island, anything goes. A guy at the bar drinks a pint glass full of vodka on a Monday morning, and the kitchen sends out their burger on an English muffin with not one, not two, but three slices of American cheese. But for $13.50, it’s totally satisfying. Especially when you're eating it in a pub that’s been around since 1985, under emerald lights at the bar up front, or on top of a green paper placemat at a table. In the chili, a whole slice of American is laid over top and then layered with diced onion. The chili itself is meaty and impressively thick—there’s not a spoonful of broth in sight. It’s served with chips, but you should spring for the waffle fries, which achieve a level of crisp you don't usually get from a waffle fry (but always wish for)." - Willa Moore
