It's usually humble little restaurants like "East Village Bohemian Pizzeria" that will surprise you and blow you away with the quality and taste of food they serve there.
Finding out that they use incredibly high quality italian grade ingredients like san marzano tomatoes for their pizza sauce, in-house made pastas fresh to order, and even paying attention to the smallest little details like deciding to use calabrese peppers for their oil drizzles... you know that you are in for a good time knowing just how much love and effort they put into the food they make.
The guys there really know their pizzas here and will not disappoint if you're looking for a genuine Italian restaurant or pizzeria.
What I tried:
*Mojo Pizza (w/ added jalapeños and special house calabrese pepper sauce drizzle on top).
This I give an absolute 10/10. Absolutely amazing and so damn good. MUST TRY EXACTLY THE SAME PIZZA. TRUST. It'll change your life. Or not, but at least it'll make you full and happy lol.
**Cacio E Pepe Pasta (w/ an added meatball).
8/10 for this one for me. It was great, but I was informed I needed to try the fettucine alla vodka pasta as that would have been better. Perhaps so, and for sure I would on my next visit back here. 👍
The meatball though on the other hand, was a 9/10 interestingly enough for me haha. Recommended.
*** Toasted Pecan Old Fashioned. 10/10. Aside from the in-house toasted pecan nut sauce they use to put in the drinks, this drink was DANGEROUSLY good and will get you in trouble quick if you are not careful haha.
Quick shout out and kudos to Amber and Adam as well for the awesome recommendations and treating me so so good when I dined at the establishment. (Especially Amber, she knows what's good, is a total foodie like me, and won't steer you wrong with her food recommendations for sure).
Places like this don't run for the past 10 years and stay in business just cause. Especially in Tulsa. It's because it's actually good, and most definitely deserving of so.
But I truly hope the restaurant runs for another 50 years if they don't change a thing cause it's perfection where its at lol. Make good food, and the communities you serve will respond.
