I don't say this indecisively, but I can't remember having gelato that made me feel the way Ecco Un Poco's just did. Yep, I was just there and felt compelled to contribute my thoughts and opinions to the review realm as soon as possible. You're probably wondering "was it amazing or was it absolutely terrible?" after all, why else would anyone feel it necessary to write a review as quickly as possible? I am very happy to report that it was one of
those discoveries that I will be sharing with others and returning there myself for a long time to come; it was wonderful. I had two scoops in a waffle cone, one of Chai Latte and one of Nocciole or "hazelnut" for those of you who don't speak a lick of Italian. Normally, if I see gelato or ice cream with nondairy base ingredients of either soy or some other nondairy milk, I shy away. But after trying a taster of the chai, that prerequisite of mine flew out the window. It was so good It wouldn't have mattered if it was LA tapwater. After I tried the second I immediately ordered both, stating that I would be back to try different flavors every time I returned. I'm pretty sure the two Italians working there are the owners and obviously take great pride and care in what they are doing. They were very friendly and chatty and were enjoying my enthusiasm and slew of questions. I love spending money on goods that have had great care placed into them. This place is the real deal, made by hand, probably with ingredients that are carefully picked out and recipes that have been closely guarded. You may want to thank me for convincing you to try this place based on this review, but it's not necessary. I will be more than satisfied knowing that many people will be finding this place and having a similar experience to mine.
