Yelp
Edoboy has earned its place on the Michelin Guide for the past two years, with their exceptional quality and unique dining experiences. They operate with an intimate setting, accommodating only 8 guests per hour. As stated in many reviews, reservations are highly sought after and are released every Monday at 12:00 PM sharp, so it is wise to set a reminder if there is a specific time you would like to go. The dining experience at Edoboy is fast-paced. Guests can select up to 12 pieces of sushi, unless opting for the exclusive Baller Set.
During our visit, I chose the Everyday Set and supplemented it with three additional nigiri pieces: toro, hotate uni, and aburi aka ebi. The everyday set includes akami, sake, hamachi, madai, shima aji, hotate, aka ebi, ikura, akami toro temaki, and miso soup. My boyfriend went for the Baller Set, which includes an opening bite, eight premium nigiri pieces, a temaki, and a special salmon miso soup. For dessert, we both indulged in their homemade matcha s'mores, featuring house-made marshmallows and chocolate.
The fish was exceptionally fresh, the rice was perfectly seasoned, and every bite was nothing short of amazing. If you love sushi, securing a reservation at Edoboy should be at the top of your list.
Tips for Dining:
Review the Menu Online Before Your Reservation: If you're indecisive like me, checking out the menu in advance can make the decision-making process easier.
Order Strategically: Once you arrive, you'll receive a menu to fill out. I wish some items from the Baller Set, like the salmon soup, were available a la carte. Although I understand why they're not, it's something to keep in mind. It's nice to try out the baller set but we don't think we would order it again as we preferred the more simple pieces.
Save with Sets: The Everyday Set and Tuna Lover Set save you $4-$6 compared to ordering individual pieces. If you plan to order what's included in the set, it's worth getting the set and adding a few extra pieces if you like.
My Personal Choice: On my first visit, I went with the Everyday Set and added three additional pieces to try a variety of options. Next time, I'll select my pieces individually.
Favorites: Some standout items were the Madai, Hotate with Uni, Aka Ebi, Miso Soup, and S'mores. I preferred the regular nigiri over the torched version, but definitely give both a try!
**If you don't like to stand while eating or like to take your time while eating, this place may not be for you. I do think the experience would be more enjoyable if we had 90 minutes, I felt rushed mainly towards the end of the dinner. I was rushing to finish my soup and took the s'mores to go as the next group was coming in. **
