Relaxed Mexican cafe & patio, known for puffy tacos, margaritas & a signature red mole sauce.
"Most people hear the name El Chile and think of margaritas, queso, and fajitas. When we hear El Chile, we think of four words: grilled pineapple salmon ceviche. You can probably figure out most of the components from the name, but the ingredient you might not have guessed is mezcal, which adds a smoky element to the dish. There’s a bit of sweetness from the grilled pineapple and peppers, but never in a way that feels like it’s branching too far from its ceviche roots. It’s a great light start to any meal, but one especially suited to sitting on El Chile’s patio. " - nicolai mccrary, raphael brion
"You go to El Chile when you want a margarita menu with almost a dozen different options, and some Mexican food or Tex-Mex to go with it. Which means they have both queso flameado and a creamy queso blanco on the menu. There’s a big patio on a relatively busy stretch of Manor Road, and all of the food—from the tacos to the chicken mole to one of our favorite ceviches in town—is consistently good. "For those looking for a South of the Border type menu for their big day, look now further than the El Chile Group. This Eastside staple, which recently moved across the street, offers everything from antojitos (passed hors d’oeuvres) to cakes. Book a catered meal online." - Darcie Duttweiler
"The brunch menu at El Chile is made up of a handful of classic American brunch dishes that spent some time in Mexico. That means dishes like eggs benedict with a chipotle hollandaise and barbacoa, bananas foster pan frances, and a chile relleno monte cristo. If you’re in the mood for something more classic (in either direction), there’s everything from migas to avocado toast—all served next to spiked cold brews, micheladas, margaritas, and half a dozen varieties of mimosa. Grab a table on the covered patio overlooking a quiet stretch of Manor Road for the optimal experience. " - nicolai mccrary, raphael brion
