"Nestled on South 24th Street, El Dorado is known for its parrilladas, extensive grilled platters. Go for the seafood option, stacked with fresh fish, shellfish, assorted seafood, sauces, garnishes, and tortillas made in-house. The restaurant also serves seafood a la carte, including fresh oysters, ceviche, and seafood stews, along with a full menu of breakfast options, fajitas, and tacos. On weekend evenings, catch a boisterous live mariachi band." - Sarah Baker Hansen

Very good food and service wasn't bad. Went for my birthday and they played happy birthday and brought out flan for free. The fajitas was big enough to share between two for future reference lol. The drinks are in a bottle though so no free refills only on water and tea.

Google
The food was amazing here! The spices and textures were all amazing! Definitely go hungry! The portion sizes were massive! I need to go back and try more dishes! And the margaritas were some of the best I personally have! The only reason I am giving this place a 4 star review overall. Is because the language barrier made things a little difficult to order. But DO NOT let that stop you from enjoying great drinks and fantastic food!

Google
This place was great! Wound up here accidentally and I'm glad I did. I had the carnitas and everything was incredible. The pork was tender and perfectly cooked, the pico tasted really fresh and the avocados were perfectly ripe, and the beans were amazing! The chips they brought to the table when we sat down tasted like they were freshly fried, and the salsa was wonderful. The tortillas were flavorful and fresh. The place was busy as can be, people were coming in the whole time we were there. The service was great but I did have to wait a very long time to pay my check. Anyway, I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu items. There was so much shown that looked really good.

Google
This is some good food! I’m an never disappointed going here . Service is always great. Margaritas on point! Love the tacos! I had the #16 and my husband had the #12 both were delicious.

Google
I go here every time I come to Omaha. All of their food is amazing. And they have the best salsa, it actually has a bit of kick to it. The only gripe I would have is that they don't serve fountain drinks. Every soda is served by the bottle. So if you are expecting a refill, be prepared to pay for it.

Trying all the Mexican restaurants out on 24th street, and happened to come here on a Saturday during lunch when they were having live Mexican music. Such a joy! I love the authentic Mexican atmosphere, authentic Mexican music, and authentic Mexican food. Belkis was my waitress and she was amazing! I ordered a carne asada taco and a carne asada sope. Taco meat was a little bit greasy on the taco, that's just cuz I'm used to Abelardo's dry meat, LOL. Everything tasted great. The salsa that comes with the chips is freaking amazingly delicious! Belkis even gave me extra containers to take all the hot sauce to go! I definitely had an awesome time on a random Saturday.

Google
My favorite restaurant in the whole world! You want platters they got that and more Literally a 20 year customer, has it gotten older yes a little beat down yes but quality is there, the owner don't know if still same lady is a sweetheart! A must for omaha! That for sure

Google
I was excited to try this establishment. I ordered the Combo Fajita platter. It was sizzling hot but I felt cheated because it had 3 shrimp. The rice and bean puree was cold. I didnt like that at all. I'll give the establishment 1 more try before I say nay

Yelp
good service, food quality, decor, cleanliness, and portion size. Would recommend to stop by!

Yelp
ordered togo and didnt get any veggies or sides i had with my order. disappointing they didnt even try to help make it right. def wont be going back here. all they serve is plain chicken and rice like some white folk. smh

Jasmin H.

Yelp
Best tacos de al pastor in town! So if your looking for some good tacos try their al pastor.

Elizabeth. M.

Yelp
I had a veggie burritos toddy it was a to go and couldn't eat it. The potatoes were under done very hard husband ordered it with black beans. The beans were pinto. $21 dollars and wasn't edible. Won't have that again. No real flavor the two carrot tasted really good. Not sure if we will go again My husband enjoyed his chicken chimichanga very much.

Yelp
The seafood platter was on the itinerary for a reason on my food trip through 14 states. Everything was cooked awesomely. The squid and fried shrimp stood out but no weaknesses. My only fault given the money I spent was they advertised crab legs on it but there were none on my plate. Given the size of my meal I felt too guilty asking for them.

Yelp
My friend and I went here Sunday night for dinner and it was very busy when we were there. We had multiple different waiters ask us if we needed anything throughout our meal. We were allowed to sit anywhere and we're greeted with smiles all around us from everyone that worked there. We split the steak fajitas and they were delicious!! We will be back again!

Andrea M.

Yelp
Brought a friend here for her birthday and she loved it! I've been coming here since I was young and I've always liked the food. The pineapple water is good, not too sweet but just right. The fajitas are delicious, steak is a little over cooked but it wasn't bad! I had plenty of leftovers. Sometimes there is live music, not today, but it is a plus when there is! The menu has plenty of options for everyone! Lots to choose from so it may take a while to read through the menu. I love taking a group and ordering parrilladas (super large portions) so don't go too crazy! They're filled with a lot of good food! Authentic Mexican food at good prices. Make sure you buy some Mexican candy as you pay at the counter!!! Food: 4 stars Price: 4 stars Service: 3.5 stars Cleanliness: 3.5 stars Overall Experience: 4 stars

Yelp
This is our go-to Mexican restaurant for when we want large portions and shared seafood platters! Everytime we've been here, it's been fairly busy with large families and friends. It has a great vibe! The waitresses are very quick and helpful even if we are not spanish speakers. We've had the mole which was okay! The ceviche here is pretty good. I would say that the salsas taste a bit water down and they very mild. I prefer spicy! The margaritas are insanely sweet.

Yelp
On 2-14-2022, I took my wife out for dinner and we ordered arroz con pollo for my wife and pollo a la diabla both dishes were horrible the arroz con pollo didn't have any rice and it came with fresh tomatoes and onions sorry but this is not the first time we ordered and it was sweet and come on really BAD. And my pollo a la diabla was more like rubber chicken it seems that they cook the chicken in the microwave and just added the salsa on top after we talk to the waitress and told her that we didn't like the dishes she didn't even try to sell something else or advise us to remake the arroz con pollo or pollo a la diabla, I would never recommend this place to anyone. Something good tho, the tortillas were amazing that's all we ate. So we ended up paying $44 some some tortillas with sal. Oh well I'll never go back to this place Thank you and hopefully this will help you to not IRT what we ordered.

Yelp
Went for the first time yesterday for dinner. It was very busy, full of hispanic families, which as a gringa is a good sign to me for a Mexican restaurant. We were greeted with a smile and service was fast. I loved the salsa they served with their chips - usually we have to ask for a restaurant's hotter salsa, but this one was perfect! The meals come with delicious fresh hot corn tortillas - my daughter does not normally like corn tortillas, but she loved these. I had the camarones al mojo de ajo. The shrimp were slightly overcooked but still tasted great - I love the garlic sauce! My daughter had the Costillas de Puerco en Salsa Verde. She really liked it, but like some of the older reviews she got a lot of pork bones and not enough meat. I guess the restaurant owner doesn't read the reviews? My husband had the Platillo del rey which he loved. He was raving about the sauce on the quail and had enough left to bring a little home. He had the same shrimp as I and was also was a big fan of them. I saw a lot of tables with the seafood platter that looks really tempting, will probably have to go back and try it. This is not a fancy restaurant by any means, but good food!

Yelp
This place is on point. Low key and chill with delicious food. It did take awhile to order and the waitress brought it all out a little a a time but we didn't care because we were full and satisfied at the end. I don't eat seafood but my table mates ate the shared seafood platter with smiles and messy fingers. My ribeye was tasty but it was thin and seemed a little pricey for the amount of steak I was paying for. Overall, we'll be returning here and recommending it to others.

Yelp
First thought upon entry was; I'm gonna need a quaalude. From the blaring Mexican music to the Walt Disney inspired menu, this place is frenetic! Hennessy horchata - a house special - turns out to be an excellent starter to help lower the heart rate and try to get into the flow of this restaurant. Waitress delivered water with lime wheel and some warm chips - always a plus. Mini carafe of flavorful salsa accompanied chips. Nice. Extensive seafood menu with lots of orders for two. We ordered 3 tacos - lengua, chorizo and al pastor. Lengua was good but there is definitely better out there. Chorizo was decent but a bit on the dry side. The al pastor was dried out and lacked the flavor you'd expect from a marinated pork product. OTD - Overall taco disappointment. Second part of the order was numero trente dos / 32 - Mojarra Sarandiada $12.99. Cooked on the grill with mayonnaise, bell peppers, onions, chilies and mozzarella cheese. Basically a whole fried skin on fish stuffed with peppers onions and cheese. This was a solid dish, great flavor and well presented. Came with warm flour tortillas - passable - refried beans - decent flavor but overly paste like - and some lettuce, tomato and cucumber. This entree requires a bit of work to eat; navigating bones, fins, head and other inedible fishy bits. Not the fish's fault, kinda goes with the dish. I'm pretty lazy and don't always want to work so hard or have to be so present as this dish demands. But I enjoyed it for the most part. The main course was accompanied by two more salsas - a green and a red - in Pancake House syrup dispensers. Both were good additions to the tacos and fish. Bathroom appeared clean but I left without using because occupied opposing urinal meant rubbing asses with urinating stranger. Not judging, just not my thing. The waitress was pleasant. My lunch partner tortured her with his survival Spanish and poor acting skills to get across what we wanted. Seemed unnecessary and unproductive as she likely spoke perfect English. She begrudgingly played along out pity or desperation to get back to work. We did get exactly what we ordered... so who knows if it was him or her. We felt $36 with tip for the two of us was pretty reasonable. Overall we gave this place a B minus. OTD definitely hurt their score. Stick with the seafood - their specialty - and you'll probably be better off here.

Yelp
I'd heard of El Dorado before and we had lunch here recently to use up a Restaurant.com coupon. I will say that the prices were pretty obscenely cheap, as we really had to work hard to spend $30 for 2 people at lunchtime. As such I think we had a pretty good sampling of the menu offerings - though I'm not really a fan of seafood Mexican dishes (except fish tacos!), and their platters are apparently what El Dorado is known for... oh well. Unless they make all their other dishes differently, I think we still got enough of an idea to say that ultimately things just didn't have a lot of flavor. Seems impossible, right? Still, that was our take-home message of the meal. Guacamole, chips, salsa, fish tacos, chicken enchiladas, steak torta and margaritas. It was all edible. It all included good ingredients. It just didn't impress me. The interior of the restaurant was festive and clean. Soccer on the TVs and loud mariachi music playing from the jukebox. A large and detailed menu with nice pictures (though it was mostly in Spanish). We were probably also the only people in the restaurant that didn't speak Spanish. For anyone who's afraid of that type of culture shock I would say don't worrk (if I were recommending you go here, which I'm not really). I don't know... it just left me a little disappointed. Especially with so many other restaurant options within walking distance. I can't see a reason I'd make it back to El Dorado anytime soon.

Yelp
Cool little restaurant. I came in the day on a week day. Ordered 3 carne asada tacos. Little on the oily side. The chili came in a plastic bag which I thought was strange. Tacos could use a little flavor. I thought the beef was lacking a little flavor. Staff seemed friendly. Place seemed clean.

Yelp
People are always talking about how good this place is... and I fail to see what is so special about this place. As I'm looking through their menu as well as pictures of their food, I can see that this place tends to skimp when it comes to portions, whilst at the same time overcharging. None of the dishes really looked filling enough to be considered a full-course meal, except for the Costillas de Puerco en Salsa Verde which is what I decided to go with, but ironically that dish was even worse than the other ones I saw concerning portion size. Unfortunately this was my choice, because the pictures of this dish are very deceiving, making it appear as if you have a lot of meat to eat. Honestly, it is probably the worst dish they have to offer, because it has absolutely zero meat to eat. You're eating only sides (rice & beans), while the supposed pork that's submerged in the salsa verde is not even pork - its literally just bones with pieces of fat on them. It came to 12$ which is ridiculous considering the insufficient portion. Personally I don't even think the dish is worth half the price. This was a terrible first impression that El Dorado has given me - and sure you can argue that maybe one of their other dishes is slightly better, but I don't really feel like trying their other dishes. You can clearly see in the photos of their food that they skimp on portions for literally every single dish, and at the same time they overcharge for each one as well. I'd be able to let this slide if the food was actually a genuinely rare cuisine that's hard to come by & is actually a bit costly to make, but the food is NOT hard to come by, it is NOT that costly to make, the quality is very generic and therefore doesn't give them a pass that allows them to raise the price of the food to the ridiculous prices they have them set at. You can find much better food of both better portions & better quality (and at more reasonable prices) even at DeLeon's at the Stockyards, and they're a chain restaurant that's not even totally authentic. Probably one of the worst Mexican dishes I've ever had, and I'm not trying to be harsh... That's just how it was.

Sofia R.

Yelp
unfortunately this is a place with rude staff, both the waitresses and the owners, they charge more than what you ask if I suggest that they check your account when paying, my food was given to me cold, and some of them swallowed our food When we had already finished most of the meal, the waitress never came to see if we needed anything, and at the moment of paying, she took away the 2% tip, without my consent, and the owner of the place told us that what they apply in tip is fair. I do not recommend it my worst experience in a restaurant.

Adam J.

Yelp
I was not impressed by this one. We dined here on May 18th. We got to our table and it was dirty with residue, needed to be cleaned. My wife and I asked for margaritas (which took a long time to arrive) and they seemed very light on the tequila and very heavy on the mix. It was VERY sweet, so sweet that I couldn't even finish it (my wife couldn't finish hers either). I ordered a combination plate with beef, chicken, and shrimp. There was a good balance between the meat and vegetables, but the beef and chicken were somewhat dry, the shrimp were cooked ok. The refried beans that came with the order was watery, like it was not freshly made. The service was slow. I thought that the server could have been more prompt with taking our orders as well as the food/drinks being served more promptly.

Yelp
This is my "go to" spot for Menudo. This is one of the few Mexican restaurants that makes Menudo sans Homily. While I love Menudo with the delicious oversized kernels of white corn. However, my keto diet says they are off limits. The soup is excellent and served with all the traditional garnishes. BIG portion. Don't miss this delicacy.

Yelp
Today was my first time trying El Dorado. I've heard some good feedback from some of my friends and decided to try it myself. My family is from Mexico so I wanted some authentic food. I had the pork with Salsa Verde (COSTILLAS DE PUERCO EN SALSA VERDE) which was 11.99. This comes with beans and rice. It also came with lettuce, an orange slice, a slice of Lime, and tomato, also with Corn Tortillas. The salsa on the pork was spicy good, so just right. There was not a lot of meat on the bones, so really a very small meat portion. The rice and beans were also a smaller than average portion. For portion sizes, I'm comparing to El Alamo or Netties. The corn tortillas were warm and tasted good, but a bit chewy. We also had the shredded beef enchiladas which comes in a plate of 3. When you think of 3 enchiladas, you might think that is a lot, but in this case, it is not. I'm not going to say that I hated the food. It was ok, but no Wow factor. This restaurant does not follow COVID suggestions, and we knew that, so we ordered online and did take out. The food was ready very quickly and was hot, so that is a plus! This was at lunch hour on a Monday. I may go back and try some shrimp and give it another whirl. I'm just a bit concerned with the price compared to portion. I expected a bit more than what I got, so I can only give 2 stars at this time.

Liz M.

Yelp
Was going to go with two stars, but "Meh" felt too generous. Loud. Unorganized. Critters on the wall (and in my co-worker's horchata once!). I've tried this place multiple times - probably simply because they DO deliver - and sometimes we're not in the mood for pizza/Chinese. After the bug in the horchata incident, though, we haven't been back. I bought a Groupon once - the owner/cashier couldn't figure it out. They tried to turn me away - but I insisted and they finally figured something out. I'm trying to think of some redeeming quality that this place has, and I really can't. There is MUCH better Mexican food across the street.

Christine S.

Yelp
My husband and I absolutely enjoyed our experience, food, and server. We felt as if we could have easily been in a restaurant in Mexico. They had soccer on the TV and everything was broadcasted in Spanish. Several families were enjoying dinner and the environment is friendly and welcoming! I had a shrimp dish and my husband had the breakfast for dinner. We both enjoyed our meal and the price point is unbeatable. We definitly will be back.

Carla D.

Yelp
Searched all over for Mexican restaurants that serve lengua. Found this one an they are great.

Cheri V.

Yelp
I've been here twice. Th first time was a pretty good experience, had tacos and a beer with my dad. Hence the second visit. Absolutely terrible. The Margarita had no alcohol and was pure sugar water. Gave my friend a stomach ache before the meal to the point that she didn't really eat. I ordered the carne asada, which may as well have been beef jerky. It was physically hard to eat. You had to chew it so much that the tortilla became mush in your mouth while the steak held firm like a leather shoe. My mom and friend both had very average fajitas. This is all compounded by the cost of each dish, which were each $15 to $18. It is a crime to charge that much for such low quality food. It tasted like it had been made with spite. You could have thrown that steak in the fryer for 5 minutes and it would have come out the same. I don't leave one star reviews often, I think this is only my second, but you should never walk out of a restaurant feeling angry at how bad the experience was. We did at El Dorado On a more positive note, here is a list of other Mexican restaurants that are worth your time and money in Omaha: - Any restaurant on south 24th street, including the taco trucks - El Rancho - La Mesa - Roja (which isn't even really that great!) - Romeos (yes, that romeos. Nacho typical restaurant) - Taco Bell

Audrey C.

Yelp
Muy Delicioso! We came upon this place after being shut out at the GI Forum on Taco Thursday, so we came here. This was quite the happy accident. The Al Pastor tacos were the best I have ever had, the charred pineapple were an amazing touch, and the large spit outside where the meat was grilling smelled so good when you walked by. Other items that were top notch: tongue taco, carnitas burrito, Victoria Beer, and the Margaritas. Our large group were treated properly, and the food came out hot and generously seasoned. We eat at many establishments in the South O region, and I will say that the cuts of meat used here are better than other places. The pork was outstanding! I can't wait to come back and try some of the seafood dishes. Gracias El Dorado!

Tutti S.

Yelp
There is no way to give negative 5 stars so it's their lucky day, they get 1 star. What a difference from my previous visit. They brought my sister the wrong dish, she sent it back to the kitchen and they still tried to charge her. Our expensive order was drenched in old oil and nothing in the dish was remotely fresh or even hot. We sent it back and the new dish came out the exact same way. I tried to force myself to eat some but it just wasn't happening. Crummy food, crummy service. Yuck. I will never return. Eek!

Nick M.

Yelp
I like this place. I've been here a couple of times- the most recent was walking around South O with an out of town guest and seeing one of my co-workers and his mother. We came in just to hang out with my co-worker and ended up with us eating a delicious al pastor taco (we had just eaten somewhere so we each only had one). The al pastor was great, but if you ever go here, get two lengua and two al pastor. You will not regret it- both are full of awesomeness. As far as the drinks go, I had a Modelo while my guest enjoyed a Horchatta Hennessy- while my Modelo was delicious, her horchatta was amazing!

Marc D.

Yelp
Ok, so we went here with a large lunch group. The food was horrid. I had the ribeye/shrimp the ribeye was one of the greasiest, full of oil poor tasting pieces of meat I have ever had. I did not even eat a 1/4 of it even though I was famished. The shrimp was soo overcooked you could not get it out of its shell and was like jerky. It all tasted like it was cooked in old oil I sampled some bits of others with me and they were all not good. 6 other people all left there plates full of food because it was soo horrendous. then afterwards I read the douglas county health review and it explains it all. Thumbs Down on the ground

Yelp
My two friends and I came here for lunch today and what a treat! We'd been here before about 7 years ago, and we'd had such a great experience, so to celebrate our reunion, we came back. One of my dining partners and I shared the Parillada Isla del Farallon - It is a platter made for two or more people served on a grill with breaded shrimp, shrimp wrapped with bacon, crab legs, clams, oysters, filet of fish, plantains, octopus, scallops and abalone. I can't tell you how good this entree was!! So good!! And so much of everything. We also had an order of homemade guacamole - the best I've ever had - with chips. Service was good, quick, and friendly. This is a hidden gem on 24th & Q, and people should try it for the authentic Mexican touch!

Yelp
This place is beyond a five star. It was SO delish. Seasoned to perfection-- sometimes you get seasoned foods that have an "off" seasoning in there... but this do not have that. I've gone here before- I purchased the traditional Mexican entrees--- taco, enchiladas etc... and I wasn't super impressed but since I noticed they pride themselves in seafood... I decided to try it again and this time order SEAFOOD! Best decision of the day! Service was excellent. Decor was cute. And customers were very nice as well... so the dinning experience was super nice. Very thing is VERY REASONABLY priced!!! On to the food-- We ordered ceviche and Platter A (We had 3 adults and 2 children and this was entirely too much food for us... but I am not complaining about that). The platter: It had 4 different types of beef-- the steak had a delicious grilled tomato sauce on it... it was beyond delish! The other three types of beef were very tender and I had minimal chewing action-- so that let's you know that the meat was cooked properly! There was chicken--- seasoned so WELL and grilled-- it was amazing. There was what seemed like-- ENDLESS SEAFOOD- Oyster Crab Legs Huge Shrimp Scallops Squid Octopus Fish -- I am sure there was more... I just can't think of anything else. All the seafood was seasoned SO WELL, grilled -- the only thing battered was the shrimp ... Everything was excellent. The pics don't do any justification... because you can't see all the seafood that is underneath the first layer of food. There were plantains... OMG SOOOO YUMMMY!!! Probably the best I've had in Omaha... they were just little slices of HEAVEN! Fried potatoes, grilled green onions, grilled jalapenos and other misc veggies! Tortillas came with the meal as well. The platter A... comes with a minimum of 3 people... So you pay $16.99 per person... and each person gets rice and beans... and there are three diff homemade salsas that they bring out... which are divine (Green, Regular & Mega hot). The Ceviche... was AMAZING!!!!!!!! FRESH FRESH FRESH! Came with a lot of fresh avocados!! It was amazing!! Horchata was good. It was a little sweeter than I like... but I am not a huge fan of Horchata but the folks I was with love Horchata and I heard no complaints. This is a MUST TRY! This was top 5 restaurants in the Omaha area BY FAR! I didn't taste t

Yelp
Some of the best shrimp fajitas I've ever had. Shrimp were HUGE and delicious. My husband enjoyed his torta and we both loved the chips and salsa.

Yelp
Finding Mexican food in Omaha isn't difficult to do, with well over 100 spots in town. Finding authentic Mexican food, on the other hand, isn't all that easy. And finding a Mexican restaurant that focuses on the fact that México is a nation with thousands of miles of coastline, and numerous seaports, is even more of a challenge. Fortunately there are a few such places, focused in South Omaha. El Dorado is probably the oldest, largest, and most popular seafood restaurant of them all. Typical of Omaha, the restaurant is fairly basic on the inside. But the food is anything but basic. The menu is huge, with everything from tacos and tortas to lobster and crab. The non seafood items are plenty tasty enough, but the reason to eat at El Dorado is for the seafood. I suggest you go with friends, so you can justify ordering one of the jumbo towering seafood presentations. They are not cheap, topping out near $50, but they feed 3-4 easily. Beer and other alcohol is available, adding to the fun. Service has always been friendly, and most are bilingual, if your Spanish isn't up to snuff. Remember you need to ask for the check, or it will never be presented, as is customary in Latin America.

Brianna B.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. Seems like they recently changed their recipe for the chicken in chicken tacos, but still yummy!

Paul G.

Yelp
This was my first visit to El Dorado, but I think I'll be back. It's a great restaurant for someone like me who wants to try something new, but not TOO adventurous. Since this was my first visit, I stuck to an old standby-a chile relleno (Item #1). It had a good balance between cheesy filling and meaty chile. The rice and beans were tasty (but just bland enough to complement the pepper). The group I was dining with shared a seafood parrillada (Item C on the menu). This is a huge platter of assorted seafood, served atop a charcoal-fueled chafing dish. The scent of the charcoal really gets the mouth watering! I'm not a huge fan of seafood, but I enjoyed all of the items I tried. Ordering a 2-person sized parrillada would be perfect for a group of about 6 people--I can't fathom two people finishing it and still having room for an entree. It's not exactly cheap (about $17 per person), but it's really enjoyable for the scents, the tastes, and the conversational value. Our server was helpful and had no problems communicating in English. She completely disappeared for about half an hour, but that didn't cause any problems for us. Finally, I should mention that there were no unpleasant after-effects from the meal--surprising after all the seafood and spices and beans we consumed. Tips: Look at the menu online before your first visit--there are a lot of decisions to make. Come prepared to park on a busy street or in a dark alley. Bring a few friends and plan to spend a few hours for dinner. Atmosphere: 2-3 stars; Service: 3 stars; Entree: 4 stars; Presentation of food: 3 stars; Parrillada: 5 stars.

Yelp
I love seafood. But that was not good. I got sick right after I ate that. Not good at all. Never been sick from seafood until Friday.

Yelp
Do not waste your time here. I failed to read reviews. I'll never make that mistake again. The staff was friendly enough however any type of service took incredibly long considering we were 5 of maybe 9 total in the restaurant. They served the chips & salsa before the drinks. The salsa was VERY spicy. Nothing to drink for quite some time. We went here primarily for shrimp & fish tacos. My shrimp were just slightly bigger than a quarter. The cheapest shrimp you can buy, most likely the precooked type. Completely over-cooked & flavorless. Like rubber. They drowned it in raw onion on chewy stale flour tortillas. There wasn't any salsa, or pico de gallo, salad plate, or guacamole served with it so they were very dry. Couldn't finish. The fish was as if it had been drowned in olive oil. Most likely a fryer not heated appropriately. And again, no sides to flavor the taco. Couldn't finish. One kid had a quesadilla. Was pretty basic. Again, no salad, salsa, etc. two kids had a burger. The buns were scorched & the meat tasted freezer burnt. If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. The only redeeming quality was the nice lady that was our server. Safe to say we will never return. Consider yourself warned.

Yelp
We went here on a weekday for quick dinner and don't think we will be returning. Their chips and salsa to start with were just okay and their menu is a little confusing. Their micheladas are advertised for 2$ but when you order one they ask you what to add in it. We both had a beer in ours and the price went from 2$ to 10$ without even knowing. The food was good, we both had plates that were good but not exceptional and the micheladas (which we did not even like) were too expensive. We ended up dissatisfied and paying around 60$. I think there are much better Mexican restaurants in South O, at least, more authentic.

Yelp
Oh man. If you love going to Mexico to eat, this place is Mexico in Omaha. Saturday evening and the place is vibrant with the Hispanic community. A gem of culture and food.

Yelp
If you're looking for authentic Mexican food this is the way to go. If you're looking for good customer service I wouldn't recommend this place. I don't think the employees know what customer service is. Recently did a take out order because I refuse to sit at this restaurant. The lady taking my order over the phone was very rude. I changed my mind with a dish I ordered and was told why I didn't say anything sooner. As a customer I believe I am more than allowed to change my mind. From experience I say don't expect customer service when at this restaurant.

Yelp
This is the most Authentic Mexican restaurant I know of. Soo flavorful, not too spicy, just darn tasty. The carnitas el dorado is GREAT!!!! The costillas de Puerco is delicious as well. And you can not go wrong with their prices either, especially for the portion sizes. Great family restaurant, I would say most "authentic " in Omaha.

Yelp
Great food, but fairly pricey. Yucatan style I believe. They specialize in seafood, but I tend to order the food that used to walk. My favorite dish is the Cochinita Pibil. Perfectly seasoned slow roasted pork thats wrapped in a banana leaf is hard to beat

Yelp
Coming from California, which has many great authentic Mexican restaurants, this is by far one my favorite out here in Nebraska. It's close to home on the taste. I was surprised it was so flavorful and delicious. Somethings could improve but overall good. Also, staff could be bit more friendly. Great music. Great beverages. I recommend the horchata with Hennessy.

Yelp
Best authentic Mexican restaurant in Omaha Nebraska I would definitely recommend this to family and friends and I would continue going here Best staff definitely deserves five stars

Yelp
Such a pleasant surprise! I am from southern California and was craving some good mexican food. The service here was friendly, the decor exactly what I wanted to see and the food was AMAZING! I ordered the fajitas which came with a combination of steak, chicken and shrimp-quite tasty! Ian ordered some steak entree and that was also super delicious and tender. I can't wait to go back again!

Yelp
A friend told me to give this place a try. After reading the two other reviews I decided to have lunch there with my coworker. Upon arrival we seated ourselves in a booth on the far side of the building. The place was clean and airy with plenty of room between tables. Our server took our drink orders and brought us some warm corn tortilla chips along with a dark red salsa speckled with freshly chopped onion, tomatoes, alot of cilantro and jalapeno peppers. It was a little too spicy for my co-worker but I found it to have a nice bite to it although a bit to much cilantro for me. Our iced tea was from instant mix and warm until the ice melted and weakened the flavor. Lunch was Shrimp Fajitas for him and Steak Fajitas for me. The menu said "Ribeye steak tossed with red and green peppers along with red and white onion seasoned with special fajita seasoning served on a hot skillet tableside". The ribeye if that's what it was, was tough and tasteless as they must have forgot to put on the special seasoning. The vegetables were undercooked a bit and overall the entre' had no flavor at all. It was served with mexican rice which was a clump of red colored rice with pieces of tomato peaking out. Also on the side plate was refried mushy beans (could not eat with a fork as they would run through the tines) and a small pile of salad torn lettuce with a black dried out half sliced radish. My co-worker's shrimp dish was pretty much the same. He said he was not impressed and it probably wouldn't make even his top 100 dining places in Omaha. They do have a large menu with many offerings so I will have to give the place another try sometime in all fairness. Noticing the local families around me I did eye alot of very interesting and good looking dishes. Perhaps a more "authentic" meal is in order. Service was good and the server friendly. I will give this place another try. HAGD, Moe

Yelp
Legit Mexican food. Growing up in Southern California ive found that in the midwest good mexican food is hard to come by. The moment I sat down I could tell this place had a high chance to satisfy my craving and that it did. Huge platters, tasty food, good atmosphere... oh an Mariachi band, cant beat that. I will without a doubt be back.
