Where to Find the Best Fish Tacos in San Diego | Eater San Diego

"Staying true to Baja form, its Ensenada style fish tacos don’t miss, even with the house flour tortilla and crispy cheese upgrade. The smoked fish taco and the manolarga — a mashup taco bringing together birria and octopus — also rank high on a strong line-up. A veggie-friendly version of the Ensenada taco is available too, with battered cauliflower pinch-hitting for the fish fillet." - Candice Woo

El Viejon Bringing Mexican Seafood to Convoy Street - Eater San Diego

"El Viejon Seafood, a new restaurant specializing in mariscos, or Mexican seafood. Co-owner Luis Gonzalez tells Eater that the restaurant should be opening by mid-July with a menu based on traditional seafood specialties from Sinaloa and Baja, including raw plates featuring scallops or chocolate clams, fiery aguachiles, and Ensenada-style fish and lobster tacos. Each dish will have an element of Asian flavor or ingredient, from daikon radish to sesame seeds to spicy oil made with peanuts and arbol chiles. Came here for the food. But the vibes took it to another level. beer and tacos and reggaeton music! Head boppin while in line! Food was great! Could have a wait because they won’t serve you unless there is a table available. Habanero sauce was excellent! Cant go wrong with seafood on a Sunday night!

Staff was very attentive. Food was so delicious!!! We ordered the "El Viejon Nachos" so tasty, savory, cheesy, creamy, crunchy......... I basically found my go to seafood restaurant.

Came in for some seafood. All was tasty and great service. The speciality tacos were great and the seafood tower was a lot of food.

A bit out of our way to try this place but well worth it that we'd definitely want to come back. Best fish taco I've had this side of the border. The fish ceviche was also very fresh and flavorful. My wife loved her ahi taco and the suerito was a great way to wash everything down. The birria sounded good and I look forward to trying it next time. Great ambiance and very friendly staff too.

Limited parking outside the restaurant but cars do move in and out quickly enough. Not many tables in the restaurant but there’s some tables outside the restaurant too. The seafood tacos are really good and the octopus is soft and flavorful. Drinks are good too.

Came here on a whim for a late night snack. We wanted to get the seafood tower but the price has gone up to $45 which doesn’t make sense for just the two us so we got the ceviche ($17) which was equally delicious. At 7pm, they have tacos and techno menu. The music changed from hip hop to techno. We ordered Al pastor, birria and lengua. Meats were soft, tender and flavorful. They serve breakfast items until noon and have Taco Tuesday specials. I would come more often but parking is such a pain in the free lot. You’ll have to go to the paid parking structure and I recommend parking on the top outdoor level where it’s more spacious.

Very horrible customer service! Our family arrived before another family and we we’re told there was roughly a 10 minute wait and we’d be contacted when a booth became available, when that booth became available the host came out to get my family and then as we were entering the establishment again ready to take our seats we noticed another family sitting at our booth. We asked the host is it any reason why the family that came after us were served before us and the host told us they weren’t supposed to sit there but did nothing to accommodate us so we left. Either, there service or lack thereof was attributed to our race or just disrespectful customers and their lack of care to uphold a reputable business based on great customer service. I will not be returning to this establishment nor will I refer this establishment to anyone.

I'm not a big seafoody, but I love this place, says alot. Me and wife ordered El viejon Fries came out very crispy with very light but tasty batter. It had smoked fish, shrimp, pork belly! It may have had scallops too, but it was out of this world. Wife also ordered an octopus plate, she said it taste good, along the pork belly taco, fish taco and cheese birria nachos. Yeah, over ordered! I think this is officially my 3 top Mexican restaurant/ shop in SD being here for 40+ years. My 2 kids had side of fries, demolished it and they are picky. When we left, manager ask how was food, we are coming back soon (=.

Yelp
We were very impressed with the unique gourmet Mexican food! (This place is better than Karina's on India Street.) Our favorite was the shrimp/cheese taco (the cheese was grilled and shrimp was cooked well) and the cerviche shrimp tostada (piled high). i would NOT order the manolargo taco--combo of octopus and birria--simply because it is $15 (twice as expensive as the other tacos at $8 each) and not as tasty. It came with a side of the birria soup which had lots of cilantro. The downside is that the tacos are oily--all of them--so it's pretty messy. You will be using lots of napkins. Delicious food.

Yelp
We came here seeking our fish tacos in the area. We came for lunch on a weekend and had no wait to order food or find a table. It's a big, casual space with self service seating, and food comes out quickly! Prices were reasonable. I got the ahi tuna taco, which was 4/5 - was great but not mind blowing! The rest of the table got the el viejon taco which they really loved. I tried a bite as well and found this one delicious. Will need to come back to try the other tacos on their menu!

Yelp
Never let the pictures fool you. They're not that good. Mid at best. The octopus taco is not worth the $15 price. Go to Fortunas or Mitch's Seafood instead. Only diet option here is Vegan. If you have a diet restriction, do not trust what the lady with a big teeth gap says. I have sensitivity to sugar and asked if the el Viejo sauce has sugar. She confidently said no. Google says that it has sugar, so I informed her. She just gave me this huge creepy smile. People in the food industry need to be careful with this type of stuff. They could risk getting sued or closing down.

Yelp
This is a great seafood place with an understated ambiance which doesn't match the quality of the food. Food was fantastic, original and fresh. The staff were very helpful and explained the nuances of the menu. The mango margarita was delicious. We had the ceviche, pardon the picture it was fresh and flavorful, began eating then remembered photo. Tacos were ample packed with ingredients as and flavor. We destroyed the octopus, smoked fish, birria and the encinada tacos. We will definitely be back to enjoy the flavorful experience.

Yelp
The food here especially the ceviche is delicious. The tuna ceviche is delicious. Staff is very friendly and lots of sauces to choose from. It is a small venue. Must try a little bit of everything! Great presentation and flavors

Yelp
Friend and I had a light lunch here the other day and shared the Viejon Tower. It was reasonably priced, and worth it, at $45. Portion was good to share and the mix of seafood (tuna, octopus, shrimp, scallop, imitation crab, and more) was fresh and refreshing. TIP: pour the entire bowl of hot sauce onto the tower plate; otherwise, the flavor might be lacking. When I first entered, the employee standing at the register seemed aloof and didn't even acknowledge me. When I was ready to order, another employee helped me out, and she was nicer.. Next time I wanna try their weekend items and birria tacos.

Yelp
With how busy this place looked, I thought it was huge inside. Instead there's only seating for about 50 people in about 8-10 booths. It was full when I got here on a Sunday around 6pm and had to wait a short amount to get a table. Smaller than I thought but the smells and the music and the colors are vibrant and big! As soon as you walk in there, there's a counter to the left to order. You'll grab your number there and take a seat. Come back for some water and for salsas. Food took about 15 minutes to come out. I had Aguachiles verde (they have red and Black as well). And two tacos. Aguachiles was refreshing but lacked spice. The Gobernador taco was full of shrimp which is always nice. Probably needed a bit more cheese and garlic. The Manolargo taco was slightly better. The consume isn't anything to write home about and the Birria itself was okay. Nothing too special. Given the area, it's probably one of the best you'll find in the north part of the city. I think you should just drive down south to get something far more flavorful. If you ever been to this area or if you read any other reviews, you'll know that parking is terrible here. If you're lucky enough to find parking in the lot, you'll be fine and won't be charged. But chances are you'll be parking in the garage and have to pay. Given all of that - parking, seating, and okay food, I just don't see how it can be any more than a 3 star spot. I think what makes it a 3 star is that they were playing El Alfa when we were there and he always makes me want to party. Other than that, it might be more of a 2 star spot.

Yelp
A friend recommended this place and originally I had my doubts but everything that we ordered at El Viejón was delicious. We had a big group of 8 but they were able to accommodate us and help set up some tables outside the restaurant for my group. Service was great and they were really patient with us when taking our orders. I got to try the octopus taco, the El Viejon tower, shrimp ceviche and their El Viejon fries. Everything was well seasoned and the seafood was fresh. They also offer a variety of salsas from the salsa bar but you don't really need it. I highly recommend this place. I will definitely revisit. The parking sucks but you can park in the structure near Jasmine and the first 2 hours are free.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by all the food here! Delicious, fresh and high quality fish with nice presentation and service. Favorites were the Ahi tuna Tostada and the grilled fish taco. Grilled fish taco was $4 and really such a great deal for the quality and how they loaded the taco. The Manolarga (polpo birria) was a must try with the consume for $13 and also great value and presentation but just didn't do it for me like the tostada and other tacos. Big consume portion for one taco. The ahi tuna on the tostada was SO FRESH and they sliced the avocado beautifully. I'd eat that again for sure. Prices for ceviche were higher and we didn't get the famous tower but it looked legit. Parking in convoy in this lot can be tough but there's street parking on Dagget Street that's free if you're okay walking a bit and avoiding the parking lot chaos.

Yelp
Yummy!!! As an Oscar's Mexican Seafood lover, I've been wanting to try El Viejón Seafood. They did not disappoint! The tacos here are more extravagant than Ocsar's, but they are different so I love both in different ways. I got the El Viejon special taco and the Ensenada taco. Both tacos were yummy, so much flavors and textures were mixed together. I'm a sauce lover and both tacos were very sauce-y and definitely messy! I will say I enjoyed the Ensenada taco more because it was less overwhelming. The Ensenada taco is the typical battered fish taco. The one downside I have for the El Viejon taco was the grease. As I was eating, the grease was continuously running and to me that was way to much grease.
google avatar

Yelp
Spicy octopus tostada, spicy octopus tacos, & smoked fish tacos. Was spicy indeed and very delicious. Octopus was sliced perfectly for a taco and was tender. I think their sauce and cheese really ties all the flavors together. Definitely a spot to enjoy seafood tacos with friends and family. Gets pretty loud with the music, but fits the vibe.

Yelp
A little taste of Baja Seafood in the Asian Convoy District. Try the aguachiles, clams, or the amazing tacos. My faves are the Enchilado and Mano Larga, but the Green Aguachiles steals the show! Parking can get insane in the area in general, but then try some dessert across the parking lot or street. The service is fabulous and the interior is a great sea theme.

Yelp
We found parking in the front easily (but it's midday on Tuesday). I'm sure it's harder to park on weekends. We didn't pay for parking either. The establishment was clean, had a salsa bar, free lemon water. It had an upbeat vibe, not quiet and I like that. I want to say there was around six booths and tables inside. The prices were reasonable. The staff was friendly. For the food: -The La coqueta (flirty one) tostada was delicious. Tangy, spicy, a mix of seafood that was fresh and bright. 10/10. I'm getting that again. -The tuna tostada was just okay to me. Had a good portion of tuna but I felt like the sesame oil and crispy onions were overwhelming and a bit of an odd combination. 5/10. I'm skipping that next time. -The manolarga taco was amazing. 10/10. Give me three please. Thick, succulent, tender octopus, flavorful birria, cover that baby in queso and add a side of consomé to dip?! Heavenly! Added to my list for one of the best tacos I've had. -Oysters were unimpressive. Not too briny or flavorful. I did add some of the flirty one tostada's seafood on top and that was a yummy addition. 4/10. I'd pass next time. High praise for the two items. Will be back for more.

Yelp
The seafood here is so fresh! We've tried the aguachile, shrimp ceviche, and birria fries. All were great portion sizes and were all delicious. Salsa bar was well stocked with all kinds of hot sauces and house salsas.

Yelp
Man this place is a must if you are on convoy area, legit seafood place, I don't even know what kind of tostadas I ordered but they were bomb! They also had this drink with squirt and other stuff can't remember the name but it was delicious. The place is small and cosy but cute, the service is great I'm definitely going back here again.

Ricardo C.

Yelp
Their good was delicious!! I'm not a huge seafood fan , I tried one of their tacos it was very delicious had alot of the meat in it! And their ceviche was delicious very fresh! Would definitely go here again
google avatar

Yelp
I never expected a seafood restaurant to have one of the best vegetarian tacos in San Diego! The cauliflower tacos were incredible. The batter it's fried in is top tier! I can't believe I left full and satisfied for $10. The restaurant was clean, the staff were attentive, and there were plenty of nice booths to sit at. I'm looking forward to trying the cauliflower ceviche next visit!

Yelp
As a seafood/marisco lover I wasn't sure what to expect with Mariscos in convoy. We were in the area and decided to try it out . It's located in a big shopping center with lots of restaurants nearby , and looks like parking can be an issue. The vibe inside the restaurant is trendy with urban music which I loved . You order upfront and they bring you the food to your table . The service was great and fast! Food- we tried the Taco Enchilado which was absolutely amazing!!! A little spicy but I would go back just for this taco (10/10)! Also had the El Viejón Fries , it was a lot of food (8/10) because I wish there was more shrimp in it. The fries were nice and crunchy and the flavors with the octopus were very flavorful. Overall I do recommend ! I would go back just for the taco enchilado,I wish there were more shrimp taco options as their menu is smaller and limited. The food is on the pricier side but you do get your moneys worth as the portions are big!
google avatar

Stephanie H.

Yelp
If you're looking for hefty tacos with fresh ingredients, you've come to the right place. I only bought two tacos and that was enough for me! They are on the pricer end versus your usual taco shop but I promise they're worth the price! We also got a tostada, which was just okay. I wish they gave more chips. The cashier was nice enough to go over every question I had about the menu. Overall, I've been coming here for a couple years now and was sad when they temporarily closed but I'm so glad they're back in business now.
google avatar

Leon H.

Yelp
The food was crazy flavorful! Me and a buddy got the guacamole with chips, ahi tuna tacos, el enchilado tacos and their el viejon taco. Inside is booth style sitting only, amble amount of space in their booths as well. We went on a Friday, usually a busy evening for Convoy restaurants. Moderately busy at the time we went in; music was great and a very catering staff. The food was great. Lots of flavor, cooked well and the tacos will leave you stuffed! If you're ever in the mood to try a new seafood spot, try them. They won't disappoint.
google avatar

Lexi P.

Yelp
Was honestly very disappointed, pictures and reviews looked promising but, ceviche is too expensive for a little ass tostada they give you and why the ketchup?? Jamaica was watered down as well, super disappointing:(

Yelp
This place has always been my go to spot when visiting San Diego , always polite customer service and always a short waiting time no matter how busy. The Shrimp Ceviche and the Aguachiles always hit ! I love this spot - a bit pricey but their food is so worth it and they have tons of options that are always good !

Yelp
This place is a true gem! Nestled in the heart of the Convoy district (in the Shanghai Saloon strip mall, next to Jasmine - IYKYK). Parking is minimal (as are most places on Convoy), so keep that in mind. The food quality, taste and presentation is second to none! Seriously some of the best fish tacos in town! Thick, tender, flaky fish beautifully coated in a crisp, tasty beer batter and topped with fresh, crisp cabbage, micro greens, cilantro, sprinkle of pico de gallo and drizzle of tangy (chipotle?) crema = perfection! Yes, the fried fish tacos were wonderful, but the other star of the evening was their octopus (pulp) taco! This taco was loaded with tender chunks of pulp and drizzled with a light drizzle of their house special crema...well worth the $7 price tag! Another worthy mention would be their french fries! Seriously, don't sleep on these tasty, golden fried gems! There's like some type of coating on their fries making them not only taste amazing, but having the perfect texture a well! So good! In addition to their delicious tacos, we also had their refreshing campechana cocktail -- loaded with fresh, plump shrimp, tender chunks of pulpo and sweet (grape-sized) scallops, topped with a healthy scoop of creamy avocado chunks! My one and only "complaint" would be that their cocktail sauce was a bit too thick (like V8) and had too much of a kick (like it had been topped off with Tapatio). True cocktail juice/sauce consists of tomato juice, clam juice, lime juice & a squirt of ketchup (this way is always the most tasty & refreshing). All that said, give El Viejon a try -- don't forget to try their fried fish tacos!
google avatar

Meghan G.

Yelp
Every single thing we ordered was amazing. The tower was fresh and delicious. Well also had the red aguachile. It's been the best meal we've had to date.

Yelp
It's a 3.5 for me. A lot of hype about El Viejon, I decided to finally check them out. 1st- parking is horrible. I think their location is just in a weird place considering Convoy area is known for Asian culture food places. Small lot with small parking spaces and a very small sitting area was just a no for me. Customer Service was just eh. She was pleasant but no recommendations even when I said it's my 1st time there. I ordered a octopus taco, smoked Marlin taco and the fish ceviche tostada special. Both tacos were absolutely delicious! Fresh tasting and loved the fried onion on the octopus taco. Were they worth over $8 each, IMO absolutely not. The ceviche tostado also tasted fresh, but I would skip the ketchup that they add on top... just doesn't go with the flavors... I topped everything off with a cold Modelo... also pretty $$. Most likely I wouldn't return because I feel like you can get same great tasting mariscos food for lower price and better location.
google avatar

Farnaz N.

Yelp
I tried three different tacos: the cheesy birria taco, the shrimp taco and the grilled fish taco on flour tortilla. All three were delicious. The birria was on the greasy side, so I'm taking a point off for that, but other than that, everything was delicious and very flavorful. They have a lot of delicious sauces. The parking lot is small and limited but there's street parking too if you don't mind walking. One taco is around $8 which is one the pricier side, but it's worth it. It's a popular and hip spot.
google avatar

Yelp
This little spot is fabulous!! The food is amazing and it's made to order. We had a great encounter with the employees there and we will definitely be back.

Yelp
an amazing mexican seafood place! the el viejon taco was sooo fire!! the seafood inside (octopus, shrimp, and tuna) + fried onion combo was *chefs kiss* the shrimp ceviche was decent. in my opinion, i've tasted better ceviches. service is good, and there are a lot of indoor seating options. overall, this is a solid spot and i definitely want to get the el viejon taco again as well as try other items next time! highly recommend!

Yelp
Trendy seafood Mexican spot that stands out in the heart of an Asian foodie town -- and it's a total vibe! The fusion of cultures makes it a unique find, and the menu did not disappoint. From ceviche to fish tacos, the seafood was fresh and packed with bold flavors that kept us coming back for more. The place has a fun, lively atmosphere with great music and colorful decor that gives it a trendy, yet laid-back feel. If you're craving authentic Mexican seafood with a modern twist, this is the spot to hit!
google avatar

Katherine K.

Yelp
Though on the pricier side, this place has such good ceviche! I couldn't believe the portion sizes. They only offer a single tostada for $7ish or a bowl for $16ish, which seems pretty weird considering you get a lot more with the bowl than a single tostada. While the bowl was way too much for me, it made more sense pricewise, but I do wish they offered halfsizes for the bowls. I tried both the fish ceviche and the shrimp ceviche and enjoyed both of them. I would love to come back and try other things from here.
google avatar

Mimi L.

Yelp
One would not know there is Mexican seafood restaurant tucked in a predominantly Asian cuisine scene. El Viejón's food was enjoyable and easy to share if you are with a group. Ceviche had tons of seafood in it and the taco offerings were delicious. There was no clear stand out in our food selection, and with the parking being very challenging in this area, I am not convinced to go out of my way to frequent here. There is a paid parking lot tucked in a corner by Jasmine and accessible if you come early enough.
google avatar

Berenice M.

Yelp
This place has been on my list for a long time from a local friend's recommendation. It did not disappoint. The location resembles a taco shop rather than a sit down restaurant so be aware that big parties may need 2 separate tables. Parking can be limited but there is a pay garage next to the free lot. We took our food to go. The wait for the food is more than worth it because everything is made fresh and you can taste the freshness in every bite. The staff is very busy hustling to take your order, cook your food and clean the tables. Staff was friendly and answered all our questions regarding the menu. The specialty here is seafood but if you're vegan/vegetarian the cauliflower ceviche is delicious. The cauliflower taco is an explosion of flavors so you will not be shorted on experiencing what the flavors have to offer. The shrimp ceviche and the guacamole are both generous portions and omg the freshness is unmatched. The smoked fish taco was delicious as well as the gobernador empanadas. The food is on the spicy side but not too much that you can't enjoy it, el Viejon also has a salsa bar that lets you try their different sauces. Can't wait for our next trip back. Will be #1 on the list.

Yelp
The Interior designs were interesting, the painting on the wall gives it character to the place. the service was fast and quick, staff was very friendly, and place was super clean, it really got busy as soon as we ordered, people just kept coming in, so we knew the food was going to be good if there are people coming in nonstop. My husband ordered some shrimp taco, and it was mouthwatering, just the flavors itself was so delicious and it's actually a lot. I ordered the Birria taco, and the birria was on point with that flavor as well, it was well seasoned and very tender and oh so yummy. We also ordered the ceviche tower (don't remember the name) but it was a tower alright, with spicy lime flavor and the seafood just kept coming, definitely worth the money and the food was great! we were definitely full, and we will be coming back to this place.

Yelp
The 7 PM taco night is a scam. First of all I showed up at 6:55 to go order tacos to go. No one was ahead of me and they took 40 minutes to give me my tacos. Then while I was waiting the cashier tells me they ran out of the small tortillas and explained how they have to be on regular tortillas but didn't tell me the price difference until I got to the register to pay and instead of being $3.75 which is their advertised price it came out to eight dollars per taco which is absolutely outrageous. Do not go here if there is anybody in line in front of you expect at least an hour wait and horrible service. Price gouging is sickening especially when you do it to your own people in no city should a taco be eight dollars
google avatar

Cari A.

Yelp
I was interested in trying this place for a while. Located in Convoy, this place is nestled into the same parking lot area as Mochinut. You order at the cash register, get a number, and they bring it out to you at your table. There is a self service sauce bar and water station. Pros: -I tried both the octopus taco and the smoked fish taco. Personally, out of the two, I preferred the octopus taco. -the seafood was fresh and plentiful Cons: -some menu items were not available after I ordered so they had to make some substitutions.

Yelp
Im so glad to have found El Viejón Seafood! I ordered the octopus @ birria w cheese taco with consomé and it was delicious and the taco was pretty big! I also ordered the aguachile molcajete and OMG it was the best !!! Service was fast and very friendly! The place itself is small but it's so nice and clean in there! Very pretty mural inside and the decorations are on point!

Yelp
Good food! There's nothing here that you can order and be regretful. Wow!!! Seafood Mexican restaurant. We had the Seafood Nachos & Campechana this time around. We frequent this place and it never disappoints. The service is always good except for today where our order was delivered elsewhere which was immediately rectified by the cashier. This San Diego location is not the bigger place but the ambiance matches the expected experience.

Yelp
Heard very positive things about their fish tacos. They were very tasty. I think I tried both the fried and grilled options, both very tasty. I think I may have preferred the grilled option as it had cheese in it. I also tried their octopus taco which was alright, decent but nothing too spceial about it. I also tried their shrimp ceviche and it was good but it was too spicy for my taste. Had to down a lot of water after each bite. I thought red was the least spicy out of their other flavors so maybe I'm just too lightweight for this place. Parking is pretty bad in this lot, it shares dumpling inn and kura sushi. Best option is to do street parking. I wanted to try a ceviche that has multiple seafood but most of their stuff was in spanish and the staff's english wasn't too great so I just got whatever.

Yelp
Seafood tower is a must! We have visited several times and brought several friends who are now big fans of this fantastic little place! The freshness and quality of everything we have ever gotten here is fantastic. We've tried the tacos, the fries, the seafood towers, the soups - it's all great!

Yelp
Where else do you go to find a ceciche aguachile specialized restaurant around here? It was pricey and I've had better aguachile. But, I don't know anywhere better here.

Yelp
Expensive, but authentic. Parking sucks. Weird place to open a moriscos but it's good, just expensive

Yelp
I never would have expected to have amazing Mexican food in the heart of Convoy, but it was actually an amazing experience. El Viejón focuses on seafood and all the items felt fresh and high-quality. The price racks up rather quickly considering their tacos can drop you seven to nine bucks, but seafood can be expensive, so I'd just keep that in mind. El Viejon Tower (3.75/5): I'd recommend sharing this with about four people as you really do get a staggering amount of seafood. You do get a bang for your buck as there is a medley of shrimp, fish, octopus and more in it, but I did wish that there was slightly more avocado or fresh veggies to cut through all that saltiness. El Viejon Taco (4/5): As with everything else, you can really tell how high quality the seafood they source is. The cream sauce just felt a bit odd with the tuna and octopus, but maybe that's just a mental block. Manolarga (4.75/5): This combines octopus and birria, something I never would have thought to do, but is an absolute home run. The birria is super savory and tender, but they somehow managed to also cook their octopus super delicately as well; you definitely won't get rubbery octopus here. I loved the tartness of the pickled onions to cut some of the heaviness as well. This is a must get.

Yelp
El Viejón seafood is a gem in a very busy and full of options Clairemont area. Their food is delicious. It serves as a great tribute to Mexican seafood on this side of the border. I have tried the octopus spicy tacos, octopus spicy tostadas among other items and they have been great. Among all the many choices in the area this takes my vote, definitely recommended.

Yelp
Fire! So good! I never leave reviews but I had to share these two pics I snapped while eating.

Yelp
Such an excellent taco place. We agree with another comment that this place is similar to Oscars in quality, but a more imaginative menu. We love love, love the Ensenada fish tacos, and and so was the grilled fish taco and Viejón style. The cheesy Birria taco was awesome and one of our favorites . Next time we won't get the pork belly taco and the Quesitaco . Their sauces were on point with a nice mango salsa, a chipotle cream salsa, and the green salsa, which was probably a jalapeño garlic salsa-- super delicious. Too bad parking sucks at this location . The bright spot is that there is a parking garage by Jasmine's Chinese restaurant, but you have to pay for parking there. I wish they had more spots for just pick up. Service was great. My order was ready to pick up when I arrived. Ambiance-- Looks good and clean

Yelp
Great service, the waitress took care of our poor command of the Spanish language and explained the dishes to us I ordered the Fideo Soup (a cajun grilled shrimp and octopus soup with broken spaghetti's). It was very flavorful and not overly MSG'ed. We also got the 2 fish ceviche tostadas and it tasted pretty good as well, will definitely be back again

Yelp
I've been here a few times and it always satisfies my seafood cravings without having to drive far! I tried their aguachile, ceviche, clams, tacos, and tostadas - it's easy to pick such a delicious spread here. Everything overall tastes great and pretty fresh. Always enough flavors and sauces. Service is friendly. Food comes out in about 10 min. There's a handful of tables inside but it's a pretty small shop. Always a lot of people when I go, whether it's during the day or night, but always lucky enough for a table. Highly recommend!
