El Viejon Bringing Mexican Seafood to Convoy Street - Eater San Diego

"El Viejon Seafood, a new restaurant specializing in mariscos, or Mexican seafood. Co-owner Luis Gonzalez tells Eater that the restaurant should be opening by mid-July with a menu based on traditional seafood specialties from Sinaloa and Baja, including raw plates featuring scallops or chocolate clams, fiery aguachiles, and Ensenada-style fish and lobster tacos. Each dish will have an element of Asian flavor or ingredient, from daikon radish to sesame seeds to spicy oil made with peanuts and arbol chiles. Cooked to order at an interactive, fast-casual counter, the menu will also include build-your-own ceviche with a variety of sauces." - Candice Woo
