"Monday through Saturday from 5-7 p.m., Elastika’s social hour serves up $10 drinks and a bunch of affordable snacks, including $8 shishito peppers, a $15 pizza of the day and more." - Missy Frederick
"Located inside the historic Moore Building in the Miami Design District, the restaurant’s centerpiece is Zaha Hadid’s dramatic sculpture — a web-like structure commissioned for Design Miami’s 2005 debut — which stretches across a light-filled four-story atrium. The space thoughtfully mixes old and new, with neoclassical architecture complementing Brazilian wood furniture, velvet banquettes, and contemporary art curated by Monica Kalpakian. Chef Joe Anthony’s seasonal American menu, featuring dishes like citrus-cured kingfish crudo and bison tartare, ensures the food lives up to its striking surroundings. It’s a restaurant where smart design elevates, rather than upstages, the dining experience." - Olee Fowler
"Monday through Saturday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Elastika’s social hour serves up $10 wines, spirits, and cocktails alongside $7 beers. The snack menu pulls favorites from the regular lineup, including shrimp toast, crepe ‘quesadillas,’ and corn hush puppies." - Eater Staff
"The Deals: $35 lunch Mon-Sat; $60 dinner Mon-Sat The Design District restaurant has one of the most unique spaces in the city, where you can eat velvety gazpacho under a Zaha Hadid art installation that stretches across the dining room like a thick web of sticky taffy. The food is just as beautiful. Some dishes look like they were plated by a watchmaker with an art degree. And if you visit them during Miami Spice, you can save up to $20 on their seasonal menu. Their Miami Spice $35 lunch menu isn’t bad, but dinner offers more signature dishes, like spiced seared scallops and squid ink orecchiette. For the best deal, order the steak and end with a dessert of chamomile poached peaches." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino
"Like many Design District restaurants, Elastika is consumed with appearances. It’s located in The Moore building, and the first thing you’ll notice when you walk in is Zaha Hadid’s installation, Elastika (where the restaurant gets its name). It stretches above the dining room, looming over guests drinking $22 cocktails. But food is ultimately Elastika’s focus and it demands your attention too. The menu uses whatever’s locally in season to produce beautifully plated dishes with a consistent emphasis on vegetables. The food makes sense with our climate too. This means refreshing flavors in the summer that work better than your car’s struggling A/C. Taking on a space like this is daunting but Elastika's food lives up to the design." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino
