Charleston Restaurants Serving Soft Shell Crabs, 2021 | Eater Carolinas

"At rooftop restaurant Élevé, crabs are tempura-fried and served with Napa cabbage in a yuzu vinaigrette. Softies are also served over Sea Island blue grits with snap peas and tarragon." - Erin Perkins

"The Grand Bohemian Hotel has a combined rooftop bar and restaurant with a great surrounding view. The decor is a combination of rustic and sleek touches that just works. The glass interior of Élevé is spacious and even if you're posted at a bar stool, you feel like you're sitting outside. (And if you actually want to sit outside, Élevé has a small terrace.) In addition to being a nice drinks spot, the restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch."

The food here is so very delicious! Wide open atmosphere with a wonderful outdoor area to drink or dine. The Beef Tartar and Short Rib are a must have! Delicious oysters & ceviche. Service from Melissa was excellent as well as Katie who’s extremely charming and knowledgeable about the menu. Great drinks with a lovely view! It does get pretty loud in here though, no biggie just a heads up.

If you look at my profile history, you’ll see I typically give good reviews, I choose to focus on good businesses to talk about, “pay it forward”. But when I feel I’ve been taken advantage of and sold a bad bag of goods, I’m going to let you know. Do not DO NOT in capital letters pay their $75 For the Fourth of July party. It’s a rip off. Everyone complained the same. What they don’t tell you is how far away the fireworks are that you can hardly see them let alone hear them. They charge $75 for access touting it’s the place to be for the firework plus $25 for a buffet with hamburgers and hotdogs and potato salad plus store-bought cookies, (which we knowingly paid for thinking the view was worth it), only to get cold hotdogs that were never fully cooked and hamburgers that were cooked an hour before we even arrived, so they were dry. Nothing fresh or of quality. It was picnic food & they couldn’t even get that right. The night was beyond disappointing, it’s a shame that a business would take advantage and sell to tourists like this. At the very least, they could’ve put in a proper effort with the food.

Went here for happy hour. $2 oysters and had a margarita in celebrate Cinco de Mayo. The oysters were fresh. Also ordered the chicken wings and guacamole. All were yummy. The server was attentive. Truly enjoyed it!

Google
Great rooftop vibes and a place for HH. Brought our friends here from out of town and they enjoyed the calamari and the chicken wings are out of this world! You can literally send in a photo via Bluetooth and get it printed on your foamy cocktail! Livia was wonderful and has a great smile! 😀

02/27/2025 - Élevé - At the Grand Bohemian Hotel Rooftop dining experience. Ron had the Caesar Salad and then the Short Rib Tagliatelle (House Made Pasta, Slow Braised Short Ribs) Ron loved the Salad. Said it was one of the best. However, the Tagliatelle was very bland and tasteless. It was a true disappointment. I could not find something I liked so I made a meal with 2 of the starters - Shrimp + Crab Cake (Arugula, Remoulade) and Steak Tartare (Dijon, Egg Yolk, Grilled Bread). The Shrimp/Crab Cake was tasty and a nice size. The Tartare was satisfying though I would have liked it to have more of the Dijon flavor to give it a kick. We shared a side of Smashed Potatoes. They were basically small potatoes baked with skins and "smashed" flat. They were covered in sea salt and were so salty, it was not enjoyable at all. I had a Crème Brûlée to end it. It came covered in a smashed cherry spread. The spread was too thick and overwhelmed the Crème Brûlée. It was like someone had poured cherry marmalade all over the top of it. The ambience was great. The room we dined in was decorated in a style of old meets modern. The lighting was all pinks, blues, and reds that worked very well. The service was great. We arrived at 5:30pm and for awhile we were the only ones there so the attentiveness was expected, but I think they give excellent service anyway. We had time to go to the art gallery in the lobby and spend some time and bucks on a new oil painting original by Abra Johnson for the bar at home. My overall impression? I would go back for a cocktail with friends and watch the sunset. But I would NOT dine there again. Limited menu. Bland food. For the price - over $200 for the 2 of us - I expected better.

valentine’s day 2025 was the worsttttttt night to eat here. we had reservations for 8:15 & didn’t sit to eat until 10:00… it wasn’t my first time there so i gave them grace , but it def wasn’t my favorite experience. maybe don’t go here on holidays. regular days are your best bet.

Google
Bonita was awesome and treated us like family during our stay. We enjoyed a quick lunch in a pinch, with a treat at the end for the little kiddo. Lobster rolls super tasty. Mushrooms are seasoned perfectly and complimented our meal. Definitely recommend the Caesar salad with the addition of the grilled shrimp seasoned and grilled just right.

Google
Eleve is just a lovely experience all around. From the absolutely charming atmosphere, to the delicious food, to the helpful service, your experience at Eleve will be a welcome one. The rooftop bar is a wonderful place to spend some time. The dining room is elegant. Waitstaff is friendly and accommodating. They are short-staffed, and food took over an hour to get to us on an unbusy weeknight, so that was frustrating. They did comp some of our meal. Food wise, the soft shell crab appetizer was excellent. The fish dishes and burgers were great, as was the salad. Chocolate mousse was decadent! Besides the long wait, we had a very nice time and will go back.

Yelp
Upon arriving, you will take the very nice elevator upstairs to the rooftop. Don't worry if it's cold outside, the main seating area is all indoors. You will immediately notice the beautiful interior and decoration. I came here with a group but would strongly suggest it for a date night! The lighting is superb. We just had drinks, so I cannot comment on the food. However, their mixed drink and wine selections are pretty nice. They also have some special seasonal winter cocktails that sounded fun. I was pleasantly surprised to see the Four Graces Pinot Noir on their wine list, which is one of my favorites. They did serve it in a white wine glass. I was not able to fully experience the exquisite aroma and nuance of this special wine due to that. That's the only reason why I am giving 4 stars instead of 5. Service was great!

Yelp
Very beautiful cocktail bar on top of the grand Bohemian Hotel. I'd love to come try this during the summertime with the rooftop as the views are gorgeous and lots of instagram worthy spots but the food was just OK. We started off with a half a dozen oysters and the shrimp on toast along with the burrata salad. The burrata did not come with any toast, but instead had Squash so it gave it a mushy texture. The oysters were delicious and the shrimp was very buttery, but I used the toast to go with the burrata. We ordered the grouper which I thought was flaky, but my friends thought it was too fishy. We finished off with chocolate mousse, which was the star of the show. It was delicious and fluffy and topped with crunchy popcorn to give it a little something extra.

Yelp
Such a clean and fun rooftop. Can be extremely romantic of you can enjoy a nice fire pit with a group of friends. The cocktails and mocktails are delicious, I would recommend a spritz. I particularly loved the food. We had a few things and I was not disappointed in any of it!! Service was good!

Yelp
Food and ambiance is very classy! The service was very attentive. I got the papperdelle and it was amazing!

Yelp
I've been here twice. The first time was with a Culinary tour group about 3 months ago. I don't recall what was served but everything was very good. Tonight, my second visit, not so much. Came here with friends during restaurant week. 3 courses for $45. I started with the oysters and my husband had the shrimp cocktail. Both of these were excellent, highly recommend. My friend got the sliders, they were too well done and dry. I told our server but she didn't seem to care. For my entree, i had the lamb bolognese. There was nothing wrong with it but it didn't have much flavor and was boring, I definitely wouldn't order this again. My husband had the grouper and said that it was ok, but nothing special. Our friend paid the additional $7 for the steak. It was cooked properly but he wasn't thrilled with it either. There were two choices for dessert, chocolate mouse or cheesecake. The chocolate mousse was good, the cheesecake was not our style. We prefer a creamier version. The space is beautiful and the service was adequate. There are several parking lots around as well as metered street parking. The rooftop has a beautiful view.

Yelp
Lovely place to come have a drink. More elegant than a couple nearby rooftop places (where we got out of the elevator, took one look and went right back downstairs). Friendly, caring and intelligent service in a beautiful environment (both inside and out). Our drinks at Élevé made us consider that we might want to actually try this _hotel_ on a future trip. I'm sure we'll revisit this bar.

Yelp
If you're looking for a nice quieter spot to sit and relax and not be in the hustle and bustle of most downtown rooftop bar scenes, then Eleve will be ok with you! The space incorporates sophistication, artsiness and quirkiness. Eleve is located inside the Grand Bohemian Hotel which is part of the Autograph Collection Hotels group. Known for their art and sculptures on display throughout the hotel you will feel like you're in a museum so make sure to walk around and spend some time in the hotel's common areas. The service is attentive and friendly. Our server Bonita was on the job and made sure we were well taken care of. Fresh ingredients are used in the seasonal dishes and each one is artfully served. Yelp
We were looking for a cute place for some pre-dinner drinks and popped over to Élevé's rooftop. We easily got a table outside without reservations, but ended up moving inside because it smelled like gasoline. (They have big outdoor heaters and we think the gas tank must have been open on one of them). They have a fun drink menu! I had the strawberry aperol spritz which was light and refreshing. I was sad because I had wanted to do a wine tasting, as the menu downstairs had said wine bar and you could order your own flight of wine. But that is only for the first floor bar, not the rooftop bar.

Yelp
This was the worst experience I've had in a restaurant in the 10 years I've lived here. All of our seafood items were overcooked, the grouper, shrimp, and the calamari. We had to ask for refills of our waters and only the people who directly asked received them instead of the entire table. We waited over an hour after finishing our meal to have the server come over to ask and write down what we had ordered. After finally getting our bills, the bill was a mess. I gave the server my card to pay and she came back with a bill with an additional $60 charge. We had to flag her down to ask why were we charged different than the bill. She then proceeded to bring a plate of grouper to us to show that was what she charged us for. After this I went up to the bar to ask for the manager. As I'm talking to the manager the server comes up to defend herself. My husband and I both have worked in the food and beverage business as servers. I looked past a lot until I was charged a different amount than the bill I was given. I will never be back. The manager took down my information was supposed to call today, but never did. The overcharge is still pending on my account, so now I'm watching to see if the charge will be adjusted.

Yelp
This restaurant is on the rooftop of the Grand Bohemian and it's so beautiful and artsy! We came here to celebrate my mom's birthday and it was such a great experience. Melissa was our server and she was very attentive and nice. The bartender sent over a surprise bday mocktail for my mom with a cool edible garnish that said happy birthday! We ordered a dozen oysters, and the yellowfin tuna to start with. All very fresh and I loved the squid ink rice crackers they offered. My parents then had the daily catch and snapper a La plancha which they both really enjoyed. I nibbled on some shrimp cocktail and man that cocktail sauce has a nice kick to it! Melissa brought out some complimentary birthday truffles which I thought was really nice. Overall it was a really great experience!

Yelp
Amazing restaurant! Came here for drinks and the staff and environment was great and professional! Loved the view and the quality of their drinks

Yelp
Ambiance: The rooftop views and overall ambiance are so chic. It was such a nice setting for a birthday. Food: Was just okay. For an appetizer ordered the Tuna Tartare which was bland in itself. The soy sauce blend was delicious with the ahi tuna portions however. For my main, I ordered the Market Fish which was Wreck for the evening. The fish was cooked well, but needed a bit of salt to bring out the flavors. It was accompanied by an odd sauce of some sort that tasted like Smokey water, and artichokes. While the presentation was lovely the dish was lacking in depth. Service: Was okay as well. The servers/staff didn't mirror the elevated decor. Their outfitting was a little sloppy and casual, with servers aprons showing stains. I asked for a Margarita with no salt and received salt. I would recommend for cocktails and appetizers for the views absolutely.

Yelp
This was such a beautiful and lovely place to have dinner for my friend's birthday! We started at the bar where we got drinks and appetizers. The only drink worth getting was the lavender luxardo in my opinion. For appetizers we got the charcuterie board and the truffle fries. The charcuterie board was fine but I would skip it - it wasn't anything special for the cost. The truffle fries, however, were so good that our table proceeded to order 3 throughout our dinner! They were a hit, and the garlic aioli the fries come with was good on everything. The service was impeccable as well. The hosts were kind and welcoming, the bar tender was more than willing to tell us about the drinks and once finding out it was my friend's birthday he offered her a free drink! And once we were sat (which didn't take very long at all), our server was amazing as well and very patient with us and all of our questions. For our entrees, we got swordfish, the seasonal pan seared market catch which was a white fish, the chicken wings, and the lamb bolognese. The menu doesn't have a huge selection but it was obvious that the items they do have are thought about a lot and done very well. The swordfish was the favorite of the table, but nothing was bad. Although this place is a bit pricy, for the service and food you get, as well as the beautiful interior, it was beyond worth it.

Yelp
Christmas Eve Brunch Booking 12/24/23 Great service: 4 stars Room too hot: 2 stars Food was amazing! 4 stars Drinks were strong: 5 stars Not busy: 5 stars Easy friendly booking: 5 stars Rooftop: 5 stars I am going back and forth on 4 or 5 stars lol. Honestly it was a great visit. I think it would be perfect if the room temperature was turned down when I asked the servers 4-5 times and I am the booker and payer lol. Anyways, it is such a beautiful restaurant and it was not busy at all. We got to do our family pictures here on Christmas Eve. This place is so beautiful. The ambience and outside seating makes this place great! Food was fresh and good. I really loved it. Thank you Grand Bohemian. I was once a server for Savannah Mansion on Forsyth & Orlando Grand Bohemian. Beyond shock it was not busy but we came as soon as the restaurant opened.

Jodie L.

Yelp
Lamb Bolognese The pasta was cold and had a bunch of water in it. Was just lamb and peas with no sauce or seasoning. Overpriced! Service was okay- food took around 30 minutes. The atmosphere was very cute though- probably best just for drinks but avoid the food.
google avatar

Tommie J.

Yelp
Very elegant. Great location and view. More of a bar than restaurant. Though the food is was great there were 3 menus of beer and wine and one menu for food. Service was ok.
google avatar

Jacqueline T.

Yelp
A chic and sophisticated hotel bar. We stopped here for brunch and ordered some mimosas. I wish there had been more of a balance of champagne and orange juice. There was a bit too much alcohol for my liking. I went on to order the Yellowfin tuna tartare which was delicious, fresh and well plated. I've included some photos with my review. Great service and a classy environment.
google avatar

Dana R.

Yelp
Beautiful atmosphere with an outdoor patio. I had the bohemian sunset cocktail which was well made and contained plenty of alcohol. However, the food menu is way overpriced for what it is. With being a restaurant in Charleston, you would think it would be just as good as anywhere else in the Lowcountry. It's not. The restaurant obviously sells itself on their cocktails and ambience rather than food quality. I wouldn't say it's bad, but definitely not worth the price. I ordered the little gem salad with shrimp, beef carpaccio, mushroom and prosciutto flatbread, and chips for a side. The salad was the best dish out of the four. They only added 6 pieces of shrimp but they were plump and grilled well. The beef carpaccio came with a pork rind type of chip that was a little too oily. Our sever recommended ordering chips with the beef, so we did. For a $15 side of chips, I would expect more. They came out on a little tray and were nothing special. $15 is crazy for the amount we received and a sliver of salt. The mushroom prosciutto was not bad - the flavors blended well together. Lastly, we had a table of six. Five of us ordered. My friends and I wanted to split the check two ways. Our server said she can't do that and the system won't allow her. We then spent the next 20 minutes trying to split up one bill with an automatic 18% service charge. Overall, I would not order dinner here again. It is overpriced for the food and the way the check was handled left a bad taste in my mouth.

Yelp
Pretty ambiance and awesome views of the city on the rooftop! We really loved being able to watch the sunset and relax!

Yelp
Stopped by this place for a drink on Tuesday evening and it was nice and quiet. Beautiful ambience and the bartender was so sweet She made a custom raspberry cocktail for me and it was delicious!
google avatar

Ashley L.

Yelp
Élévé rooftop is a great place to dine. Located on the roof of the Grand Bohemian it's a classy eatery added onto an already luxurious hotel. The view offered here is breathtaking any time of day. The lighting gives off a late evening, sexy vibe. The great location is made even better by the awesome servers. So friendly and professional! We've dined here before and it's always a winner. I love having their duck fat French fries but the menu has recently changed. I was worried I'd be disappointed with the replacement fried chips but those fears were soon put to rest. The chips were so delicious and crispy. They paired perfectly with the juicy sliders and capped off our night perfectly. Once again we will be returning soon. It's that good!
google avatar

Kim A.

Yelp
Cute restaurant over hotel. Good outdoor space. Convenient location. Great people and service. Oddly, we were the only table seated at 7:30 Tuesday evening. No one else in restaurant. Beet salads were great, shrimp cocktail was good, desserts were great. However, my tuna tartar was bad. I could not eat it and no one asked about it. Cocktail low country slush wasn't good.
google avatar

Amber M.

Yelp
"Honestly I didn't love it." An exact quote from when they asked me how my meal was going. I got the shrimp and grits, which in Charleston seems like a safe bet. It wasn't, my question is why were the grits purple and why were the shrimp covered in tomatoes and peppers???? But I'm giving it a 4 because the restaurant was cute and not busy so it was quiet that night so I ate in peace and the dessert was delicious.
google avatar

Corie D.

Yelp
Great rooftop. Loved the cocktails, they were so pretty and tasted great. Big comfortable couches and plenty of seating on the rooftop.
google avatar

Gillian O.

Yelp
Went for happy hour and had a wonderful experience. The oysters (except one) were great and the wagyu sliders were fantastic, especially for the price. I had the luxardo lavender spritz and the low country lush, both of which were delicious. The right amount of sweetness balanced with the bubbles in the spritz. Great prices for everything during their happy hour time which is 2-5pm (something I also appreciated since it was earlier than most other places). Would highly recommend.
google avatar

Jane D.

Yelp
I had a great time here yesterday! The drinks were tasty, service was very friendly, and the decor was upscale (meaning chairs felt expensive and comfortable lol). We had a group of 5, and it was pretty empty upstairs at a 430pm on a Friday, so it was perfect for us. I had the passion elderflower, which was perfect in the beginning but a little sweeter towards the end. The truffle frites were exactly what I was looking for, and we shared the charcuterie between the two of us (2/5 people were eating). Overall a great drinks and apps experience. The fries were skinny and crispy (my type of fry lol), and the charcuterie came with blue cheese, which is controversial, but I'm a fan so didn't mind!

Wendy R.

Yelp
Wow! Shocked with Justin the manager and Bonitas over the top service! This is my fifth time traveling to Charleston and coming to the exact same glamorous rooftop because of their brunch menu and egg whites with goat cheese omelette. BUT nothing tops the experience over the fantastic customer service and caring wait staff. Thank you for taking care of my entire party !
google avatar

Eleanor A.

Yelp
Over priced and gritty shitty espresso martinis. Great service and sweet host though! tacky interior and blehhhh better places to eat in Charleston for sure.
google avatar

Julia C.

Yelp
The ambiance was great for a few mid day bites and drinks. We ordered the flatbread and the fries to share between the 3 of it and it was a perfect amount of food! The drinks were great! I would definitely recommend the sun-dried tomato flatbread, the bread was delicious and the tomatoes had an incredible texture. Overall a very fun spot for lunch!
google avatar

Dom L.

Yelp
I came here during a bachelorette party. The ambiance is very aesthetically pleasing. The food was delicious for everyone in the party - from seafood lovers to vegans. There wasn't necessarily vegan options on the menu but the chef was able to provide options. Also the drinks here were delicious! The actual rooftop is okay - it's decorated very nicely but not much of a view. The rain is how we indeed up indoors but I think that was the better choice!
google avatar

Johanna F.

Yelp
Full disclosure, I work nearby, but this is one of the few places in Charleston that you can grab an amazing dinner and sit outside without waiting in line. Inside dining, outside, beautiful fourth story rooftop facing the east. Plush furniture plenty of room to sit in Lounge not just the usual selection of cheap plastic chairs. Great place to hang out with girlfriends, or go on a date. Try the burger. Lots of mushrooms. Seafood great as well. Inside bar. Plenty of seating very elegant. Very helpful and friendly staff. Extra kudos for Bonita. fourth or fifth visit last night. Never disappoints.
google avatar

Christine S.

Yelp
Beautiful open restaurant with many large tables for larger groups. They also had a fantastic outside terrace that looked perfect to end a nice day with a cocktail. The large windows allowing for lots of sunlight also made it warm and inviting. You'll want to try the burger on their brunch menu if you like burgers. It was cooked to perfection and delicious.
google avatar

Audra A.

Yelp
Great view, delightful ambience, excellent service! We stumbled across this place while out walking and holiday shopping. It's located inside the Bohemian hotel on Wentworth street. The bartender recommended wines and bourbons and had a great knowledge of their offering and menu. The service was excellent. Seating is available at the bar, some tables, and also outside. The holiday decor was a nice touch, elegantly simple touches here and there. The crystal chandeliers caught the beautiful light of the setting sun. Would make a romantic spot for date night too. We didn't eat as much as we drank, but the Ahi Tuna Poke was excellent. The sauce on the tuna was like crack, I could have eaten it on anything. Our bartender was kind enough to ask the chef for the ingredients for me, so I'll be recreating that at home too! Portion was generous. We'll be back for sure!
google avatar

Tiffany B.

Yelp
Me and my friend had a really nice night here. Food was great! Excellent service and the vibe was perfect for a ladies' night out! I loved the decor as well.
google avatar

Alicia H.

Yelp
BEAUTIFUL bar with some rooftop outdoor seating as well. Stopped here for one cocktail while bike riding around Charleston. Love the chandeliers, colors & artwork- even the women's bathroom is beautiful. We were here early afternoon and weren't out of place in casual workout clothes, but there were also people here in fancy wedding outfits- I bet at night it's an upscale crowd. Staff was professional and my one drink was delicious (sorry not sure what it was called but it was light and slightly sweet & very well balanced.) Def one of my fav Charleston stops.
google avatar

Harold T.

Yelp
The food was delicious and wait staff was fantastic The view of the city was unbelievable We were there at night and the city view was so fantastic Definitely will be back!

Scott J.

Yelp
We were staying at the hotel for our anniversary trip, and decided to try Eleve for brunch. What a great decision, delicious food outside on the rooftop in January. We saw some "not so nice reviews", but had a great experience. Even a complementary glass of champagne because it was our anniversary - nice touch.
google avatar

Ray L.

Yelp
Place was really good, no complaints! Tho it's nothing special, I was very pleased wit both the brunch and dinner. The pizza is good, tomatoes are large and tangy. The roasted chicken was very flavorful and juicy. The caramel banana panels with tasty. The cream cheese topping was really good. Pancakes were very hot when they came out and the texture was soft. I mini waffles were good. Seemed like the same batter as the pancakes. Definitely like the waffles over the pancakes. Overall very pleased. We were guests at the hotel and the was a very convenient place to eat.
google avatar

Sydney B.

Yelp
At Eleve the pizza was good but super super thin crust. Did a crafe for mimosas which was decent and gave two/three glasses for three person. The red velvet waffles were super decadent and drool worthy. Nice sitting up at a rooftop in historic Charleston. #bergerknowsbest

Yelp
For a random restaurant we chose, this one exceeded our expectations. Luckily for us, there was no wait time for indoor dining when we got there around 5:30. The interior was spacious, clean, and elegant with a modern look. There are a couple of bars at the top and bottom floor. There's also outdoor dining on the rooftop with great views. The staff were very friendly and professional. We ordered tomato and burrata as an appetizer. The tomatoes were of high quality, but could definitely use some more balsamic vinegar or some sort of seasoning to eat it with the burrata. Otherwise it was plain but still not bad. Loved my corn ravioli dish. The ravioli was sweet but the mushrooms and sauce helped add the salty balance to the ravioli.
google avatar

Alana D.

Yelp
I enjoyed brunch here! The views are beautiful from the rooftop and the hotel is stunning. I tried the carmel banana pancakes and the house smoked salmon bagel. The food was very good however it was a bit pricey. Considering there are so many other breakfast restaurants in Charleston I would maybe try something else considering the price

Yelp
I cannot believe that it has taken me this long to scope out the rooftop that is Eleve located in The Bohemian Hotel on Meeting. It was about four in the afternoon and we had enough of shopping. The Patio near the sidewalk was closed That did not deter us, as we entered the elevator to head to top floor. We entered a very large bar/restaurant area and then made our way out onto the rooftop. It is so beautiful here, with expansive views out over the Ravenel Bridge. The area is very cozy with large gas fireplaces and lots of comfy chairs & couches. Our server was prompt and attentive bringing great drinks and a lovely charcuterie plate to share. The whole experience was relaxing and rejuvenating. I will definitely return here with friends and family to share the beauty and ambiance.

Yelp
Nice service, classic Richard Kessler fixings. No changing table in the bathroom... Everything was par.
google avatar

Al T.

Yelp
Ambiance is great with its open concept and fantastic roof top bar/sitting area. My gf and i went there for an afternoon bite. We ordered there octopus appetizer, amberjack crudo, shrimp cocktail and a dozen oysters. Octopus and oysters were serviceable but nothing great. Amberjack crudo was not cold but lukewarm and bland. Worst was the shrimp. It was obvious the shrimp was frozen and almost spongey in rexture. We didn't finish anything. Cool place to go at night for a drink at the rooftop but save your money for food somewhere else...

Eric T.

Yelp
Very nice ambiance. beer was ice cold, tequila was well poured. Sliders were delicious. Music fit the vibe, cool views of historic buildings. Amanda and Morgan were attentive servers every time the drink got low!

Isacc N.

Yelp
I love it here! Yummy drinks and excellent service. I have one suggestion... bring back those truffle fries. Truffle or Die.

Yelp
3.5 stars Everything here was average. The red velvet waffles were good but I wish there were more chocolate chips in it. The truffles fries were a big hit with my group and the tomato aioli that came with it. The servers seemed like they didn't want to be there but were nice if we asked questions. Not a bad place for brunch but for the price I would have liked a little more from it

Yelp
We visited during restaurant week to try it out. The atmosphere was strange...setup like a quiet cocktail bar but turned into very loud, clubish vibe. The meal was set in advance but the spacing between each course was insanely long. The food was good but not memorable.

Yelp
Eleve - Grand Bohemian Hotel Charleston you have to go thru the gallery of the hotel to get to the rooftop bar which in itself is a work of art. Great service!
