Espetus - Review - Hayes Valley - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Those who believe skewered meat is its own food group should get a standing reservation at Espetus. The Hayes Valley Brazilian steakhouse serves an unlimited amount of at least a dozen different types of meat, all carved tableside. On occasion, some meats are a tad dry, but most times, whatever is gently plopped onto your plate is glistening with juices. Taking down all 12 kinds of meat would be a superhuman feat, so instead prioritize the picanha and the audibly crunchy barrigo de porco. While the meat should be the main focus of any meal here, the rotating salad and hot app bar is always worth a perusal. Count yourself lucky if there’s feijoda available. On most nights, this place is full and loud—keep it in mind for a casual get-together and try to make a reservation at least a couple of days in advance (weekday prices are also slightly cheaper). photo credit: Espetus" - Patrick Wong

San Francisco’s Best Steakhouses | Eater SF

"It’s one thing to order a steak entree for dinner, but it’s a completely different experience when various cuts of meat are paraded past your table and carved at will, as is the case at Espetus Churrascaria. There’s picanha, filet mignon, sausages, and yes, chicken hearts, all ready to be eaten until you’re stuffed. A word to the wise: Don’t skip the grilled pineapple, it’ll be a nice sweet addition to your meal after all the protein." - Dianne de Guzman

The salad selection was great! The service was exceptional. Drinks were on point. The big let down was the meats. They were dry and salty. We had reservations for 5:30pm it felt like we were served the left overs from lunch. The fresh meats starting coming out around 6:45pm. Try going at that time.

Google
It's worth going! All the food is delicious and fresh. The picañana was one of my favorite meats, and the passion fruit mojito is a hit among the drinks.

Google
Absolutely amazing experience at Espetos! The meats were perfectly grilled, juicy, and full of flavor. The salad bar was fresh and had a great variety of options. The service was outstanding the staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere is warm and authentic, making it a perfect place to enjoy a traditional Brazilian churrasco. Highly recommend for anyone who loves great food and great service!

Google
Considerably one of the best restaurants I've been to! When you arrive you are seated, and you get to select from a wide arrangement of food from the self-serve bar, which in my opinion was all top tier quality! But don't fill up on the food bar, because this is when they start to bring out the meats! The perfect amount of smoke in the meat, nice and tender. The steak was the star of the show from my experience, and honestly blows every other steak house I've been to out of the water.

Google
Great food and atmosphere!! Everything came to the table hot and the salad bar was amazing! Great drinks and the servers were very friendly. I’m not a salmon person but a few of my friends said that it was a little dry but other than that it was great. I will definitely visit again and again!

Google
I absolutely love the rich and savory flavors of Brazilian meat. The way it’s expertly grilled and seasoned truly elevates the dining experience. There's this incredible Brazilian restaurant I visit frequently, known for its authentic rodizio-style service, where waiters bring an array of perfectly cooked meats directly to your table. The juicy cuts of picanha and tender filets, combined with traditional side dishes like pão de queijo and farofa, create a feast that's hard to resist. It's definitely my go-to spot for a delicious meal that captures the essence of Brazilian cuisine.

Google
Visited after a short tour of Alcatraz. We did a an early dinner and it was a quick trip with the local line and perfectly accessible. They had a special summer offering which discounted the meal but the experience was phenomenal. We received attentive service and the food was well cooked and quality. We had visited a handful of Brazilian steakhouses from different states and this one left an impression!

Google
First off, the food we did have was very good. However, we were only offered steak once within the first 30 minutes we were there. The most important metric for a churrascaria, TTS (Time To Steak), was 17 minutes. Within the first half hour we were offered both chicken hearts and pineapple twice. They did try to compensate after I complained, but by then we had lost our appetite from beans. Very disappointed for $200+ for two people. Will stick with Fogo de Chão next time we’re in SF. (Minor note: they played pop, no Brazilian music).

Yelp
Espetus is THE place to go to for a fancy dinner out. With AYCE high-quality salad bar and fresh meats offered every minute, Espetus blew my expectations out of the water. The salad bar is stocked with plenty of fresh greens (butter lettuce, mixed greens, caprese salad), carbs (potatoes, pasta, rice), and even a couple options of meat (seafood paella, salmon). From 5PM to 7PM, not a single thing ran out. The meats are on another level. I especially loved the Top Sirloin Steak for its great salty crust and tender texture. The Chicken Hearts are a must-try; I usually never try the more exotic cuts of meat, but this really surprised me! Service was perfect with very friendly and attentive staff that always knew when to give us water, refill our cheese-breads, and take away our dirty plates.

Yelp
Went to Espetus with my best friend for her birthday, and it reminded me why I love this place so much. It had been a while since my last visit, but everything was just as good if not better than I remembered. From the moment we walked in, the service was welcoming and smooth. The gauchos were super attentive and constantly coming around with a great variety of meats. Everything from the picanha to the lamb and sausages was perfectly seasoned and juicy. The salad bar was also fresh and well-stocked, with some great Brazilian sides and cheeses to balance out the meal. I've been to Fogo de Chão recently too, and honestly? Espetus wins for me. The quality of the meats, the seasoning, the service. it just felt more authentic and satisfying overall. Pro tip: Come hungry and pace yourself. The meats come fast, and it's easy to overdo it early on. Also, the birthday experience was great. They were kind, attentive, and made sure my friend felt celebrated. Definitely one of my favorite spots when I'm in the mood for a Brazilian steakhouse experience. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Went to Espetus for a date night and had a great time! The food was delicious and the variety of meats was impressive - everything was well-seasoned and cooked just right. The environment was really nice too. The only downside was the wait, but considering the location and popularity, it was expected and didn't take away from the overall experience

Marisa L.

Yelp
Absolutely ridiculous pricing for the salad bar ($65) that we weren't told up front!! My boyfriend likes meat, but I didn't have the appetite for it that night, but we went anyway since there's a salad bar. I ate maybe a few dollars worth; just some broccoli, hummus, and salami. For reference, fogo de chao (same style of restaurant) has a $30 salad bar.

Yelp
Back again to our go-to birthday celebration restaurant: Espetus! They know their protein here: chicken, beef, lamb, shrimp and pork served on a spit for you to choose from until you just can't eat anymore! Highly recommend the collard greens, fried bananas and mango salad at the buffet counter. Service is friendly and professional in a fun atmosphere.

Yelp
We had a nice lunch here during the week. The salad bar was great and had a great mix of hot and cold foods. The cheese selection was great! The selection of meats for a weekday service was exceptional. We were def full to the brim and enjoyed our interactions with all the staff!
google avatar

Greg G.

Yelp
Gotta be honest I never thought Espetus would become one of our go-to restaurants or rather-- that it'd fall into our circuit. But here we are. We prefer this over fogo any day of the week. The quality of meat, the flavor, and the unlimited sides bar just is always fresh. The service is exceptional, the food is pure deliciousness. We come here at least twice a month to get our meat fix (pause). And we've never had a bad experience

Yelp
The food is great here. You will definitely not leave hungry. The barbecue is a must try. I enjoyed the drinks as well. The service was extremely accommodating and down to earth. The ambiance is perfect for a heartwarming dinner. The location is right on Market Street.

Yelp
Been wanting to come here for the past year and we came on one of the night specials for dinner at 6pm for February (special thru 02/05/25-02/13/25). Great experience with all the different cuts of meats. Great variety on buffet foods. Service was awesome, they always came and check up on you and filled your water, they like to come and ask if there is a special meat you would like to request to come back out or try which is great ! Beautiful dine in area and a great amount of servers coming out with different cuts. Although the meat did get a little rougher towards the end but still everything was a great experience, totally recommend trying especially if you're a meat lover !

Eric D.

Yelp
My girlfriend doesn't eat steak and opted for the salad bar, but the options were quite limited compared to Fogo de Chão. To make matters worse, they charged $65 for the salad bar alone--more than double the $30 price at Fogo. While every other item was clearly listed on the menu, the salad bar price was not, and even the staff acknowledged it seemed unreasonably priced. The steak selection was also disappointing; they weren't serving picanha, and when I asked about it, I was told they hadn't had it for over a week--with no advance notice provided.

Yelp
Came here a weekday evening for dinner! My partner has been here quite a number of times in the past and was craving it recently. We made a reservation on Yelp, though on that particular night, we probably didn't to since it was pretty slow. Onto the review! Vibes: on the smaller side, but honestly kinda prefer that because it seems more intimate. The lighting was perfect and sound levels were good Service: LOVED all the servers! Everyone was super pleasant to talk to, especially the older gentleman with white hair and glasses. Food: Unfortunately, this is what drags the rating down. We tried all the meat options to just get a taste of everything and honestly the only thing I liked was the picanha. Some notable things that I didn't enjoy: many of the meats were extremely dry (bacon wrapped chicken, bacon wrapped filet mignon, red wine steak, parmesan chicken, etc.) or they were too salty (pork belly, garlic sirloin, etc). The beef rib was pretty tough and (too) rich. The food highlights include the cheese bread, the Brazilian mashed potatoes, fried banana, fried yucca! Honestly probably would have been happier just eating the hot foods / salad bar options. Overall, it was still a fun experience, but the food (specifically the meat) fell a bit short of expectations.

Yelp
What a joyous place to eat, relax and celebrate with family and friends for any occasion. We always call for reservations and are always greeted quickly, professionally and timely. #thankyou We recently made a mistake of trying a place on the other side of the bridge that was sun-par, truly terrible food and service--NOT HERE! The place is clean, amply stocked with fresh foods, the cocktails are amazing and the service is so much more than we even ask for. If I can give more than 5 stars I will, this place is that good!

Yelp
My friends & I had never tried a Brazilian steakhouse before, and honestly this was the perfect place to have our first experience. All of the meats were top notch quality, and when people say they constantly bring you meat until you tell them not to, they aren't kidding. Your plate will never be empty and you will never not be eating. The service here is unmatched, and the ambiance is right in the middle of casual and fancy, so you can come here for really any occasion. There is a side bar with plenty of other options, like salads, pastas, potatoes, & fish. My one regret is probably getting too many things at the side bar that filled me up, but I was still able to try all the meats I wanted to. Anyone in the area or visiting should for sure give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
I was told about this place by a business partner and he didn't tell me it was a "Steak house" Brazilian style....I was with a friend who was a Vegetarian...Well Bada Bing, Bada boom she's not a Vegetarian anymore, LOL : ) so be careful, this place turned her out....We had a great time as first timers sharing this experience....be careful people: )

Yelp
Espetus is my favorite Brazilian steakhouse. It has become a place that I like to take friends for their birthdays, when I can. The restaurant is cleanly decorated with white linen tablecloths and adequate lighting in the dining and service areas. Servers come around with swords full of different offerings ranging from beef ribs to chicken hearts and so much more. The selection and service are really what sets Espetus apart from other steakhouses of this type. Don't sleep on that grilled pineapple. I feel like it helps with the meat digestion. Their drinks are delicious too! If you have never been there, make sure to check out the sides available at the salad bar, but be careful not to fill up. You'll want to leave room for all the meats, seafood, and delicious tapioca bread they have available.

Yelp
I've gone to a few Brazilian Steakhouses. I love the idea of a good buffet and being able to try a variety of roasted meats. This location is a lot bigger than it looks. While we were there, many birthdays were being celebrated and Christmas parties were going on. That didn't affect the service or food! Our host greeted us and sat us right away since we made reservations. We had excellent service by our waiter. The buffet had several sides including a bean and pork soup that I wish I could eat by the gallon. So good during this cold weather. The meats came around regularly. I had the filet mignon, picanha, pork belly and something I've never seen at a Brazilian steak house: beef ribs on a rolling butcher cart. Such an experience. They have a dessert menu but I wanted the grilled pineapple. Great flavors. Delicious food. We'll be back.

Yelp
This place is simply amazing. The ambiance, food, service is spectacular. I went a few years ago for a friend's bday and recently on a date. Must try!!

Yelp
Came to celebrate a birthday and it's a solid place for all you can eat meat with an extensive side dish bar. I also like the little cheese breads that come on the table. It was such a fun experience to have a variety of meat come around ranging from sirloin, chicken, pork, lamb, and shrimp (we went for dinner on a weekday and there were 17 options). Surprisingly, one of our favorites was the pineapple! The meats are on the saltier side so it was nice having rice and salad from the bar to balance it out. The staff is some of the most hospitable I have met and they ensure you are truly having the best time. It's a great spot for a nice family dinner or date night. Street parking was not too bad on a weeknight.

Yelp
First time at a Brazilian Steakhouse and my experience was pleasant! Most cuts of meat were cooked well and very juicy + seasoned just right so as not to outshine the meat itself. I especially liked the red wine steak! Very flavorful and tender. The guacamole from the salad bar was so delicious and paired well with all the meat. Salad bar selection was vast, wish I got to try more of it but I didn't want to be too full for the meat. Although the meat was delicious, it wasn't the best I've ever had. The price is also very steep & it's difficult to get your money's worth! Service was excellent. So attentive & serve food efficiently and quickly. The place isn't too big but it was super cozy on a rainy day. Overall, It was a good experience but I probably wouldn't pay for it again anytime soon.

Yelp
First time at this establishment and I have to say it didn't fail at all. The customer service. The black attire the servers wore. Nob and John were great. John had me and my dad laughing and he took our picture. Nob was expert on all the food the establishment had to offer. I loved the meat selection and how they brought to your table. The lamb and first pineapple were my favorite. The pork sausage was juicy and exceptional. The lighting and setup of the restaurant was nice and the price wasn't bad for dinner I was excepting spend like 250 in there. I love the buffet style setup and they had many different variations of Brazilian dishes. We will definitely be back for a lunch time and see if the food is different thanks again. You make my daddy daughter date everything

Yelp
Came here so many times and the experience always meet expectations!! All the varieties of meat came out with perfect cook, Picanha with the fatty part is a must!! All of us love chicken hearts, they were juicy and delicious. My favorite is cheese bread and is unlimited, yum!!! The service was excellent and our water never drop lower than half of glass. Staff come often to check on us. Definitely be back and highly recommended!!

Yelp
It was my friend's birthday, and we went to this place for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised by both the quality and quantity of the food! The queso de pan and the variety of meats were absolutely exquisite--each bite was a treat. While the prices are on the higher side, the incredible flavors and experience made it feel worth it for a special occasion. Definitely a spot to indulge in once in a while!

Yelp
came to celebrate my birthday on Wednesday and we had made reservations since we've never been here before, but it wasn't needed since they weren't busy inside. The inside has low lighting and big glass windows to look outside which was nice during a rainy night. When we sat down we were greeted immediately, got waters, and our waiter explained how ordering meats worked. There was a little sign that you flip to green when you're ready for meat, then to red when you need a break. The people carrying the meat were always walking around with meats and would ask how you preferred the temperature on the red meats. When it came to the salad bar, there were a lot of different options to choose from to pair with your meats. However, some of the sides I'd pick were on the cold side so I was a little let down there. Towards the end of our meal, we ordered a double shot of henny and a double shot of Jameson and when we got our bill the shots were $38 each. In my opinion, a double shot shouldn't be the same price of an entire bottle, so that's something to avoid if that matters to you! Overall, it was a good experience for the first time. From the host, to the server, and all the people walking around with meats, everyone was super kind. Next time I'm in the yay area, I'll definitely be back

Michael C.

Yelp
I love this place the food in amazing. The restaurant is clean and staff is very friendly. All the meats are delicious the marinade on the meat makes the experience worth it. If you haven't tried it yet you are missing out. No matter if it's date night or just taking the family out it's a great experience. Also the salad bar had a lot of different options to choose from.

Yelp
Had a great 4th of July lunch experience with a party of 7. The restaurant is spacious and there's plenty of room at the table for the servers to slice meats for you. From lunch, we were able to enjoy top/bottom sirloin, wine braised steak, chicken drums and wings, sausage, and chicken hearts. Beef was nice and tender. The chicken was a tad salty but had a nice mesquite flavor. Sausage was a little on the drier side, but the hearts were quite delicious and crunchy. From the salad bar, really enjoyed the rice and bean stew pairing. You will also find salami, salad fixings, fried yuca, french fries, and an assortment of other fried goods. Overall, a great experience for the ~$40 price tag and it's all you care to enjoy which is great.

Yelp
The best Brazilian BBQ spot in SF! Authentic Brazilian food, nice ambiance and amazing staff!

Yelp
Beautiful spot! Was very easy to park here on a Saturday for lunch. The food was fresh, exciting, and the service was stellar! I loved all the attention my kids received - they tried lots of new dishes and were as cared for as the adults at the table were. We will be back! What a treat!

Yelp
Everything is delicious at the hot station / salad bar! They have food option than Fogo de Chao , very yummy baked salmon, Paella and shrimps mash potatoes! Great options for someone that's not a big red meat eater ! Definitely will be back !need to add one more comment! The staffs here are go above and beyond! Attention to details and best service that we can ever asked for. Thank you!

Yelp
I like that I can eat as much meat as I want. I only wish I could eat more. The service by the staff was great. The ambience is appealing. It's a great place that is great to support as a local business.

Yelp
SO YUMMY!!! Love coming here when we are craving some Greek moussaka! Their moussaka is one of the best we've tasted in the area. We miss good Greek food so much!

Yelp
We came in for Saturday brunch and wow am I impressed. I have visited other Brazilian steakhouses but this is hands down my favorite. The service was impeccable we truly felt taken care of and we were a larger group (9 people). The market has a really good mix of food: hot, cold, salads. I enjoyed the mango salad the most. The meat cuts were fab! Highly recommend the experience. From chicken to shrimp it's allll so tasty. Already planning a trip back. Because we came in for brunch on a weekend it was relatively quiet but look forward to a date night here

Yelp
Excellent service, tasty meats, and a bangin' salad bar that should absolutely NOT be skipped! This was my first time dining at Espetus and it was actually really enjoyable. My friend and I decided to spend a day in the city, and we made reservations for lunch. When we arrived, it was surprisingly pretty slow. I guess during certain seasons of the year and during lunch it tends to be slower which worked in our favor. This is probably the smallest Brazilian steakhouse that I've ever been to space-wise, but it gives a more intimate vibe which is pleasant. Also, we know how condensed the city is, so large spaces are few and far between (and also super expensive). Interior setup isn't super fancy but still comfortable. I love the rustic feel with the wooden ceiling and floors. Lots of nice natural light from the large windows. The colorful wall art is also a nice touch. I tend to not pay too much attention to the salad bar when I go to Brazilian steakhouses as I like to save room for the meats. BUT... Espetus has one of the best salad bars that I've seen in terms of variety. With items like Feijoada, paella, and Brazilian shrimp and cheese mashed potatoes, this one is definitely a no-skip. I would actually come back here just for the salad bar alone and that's rare when you think about Brazilian Steakhouses since the meat is their crown jewel. But, let's not count out the meat. Their meats are solid here as well and they've got some nice variety. I love that they include grilled garlic shrimp and that lovable grilled pineapple (score!). This was my first time ever seeing chicken hearts on a list. Though I'm generally not a fan of chicken hearts, I found these to be extremely juicy and well seasoned. For the most part, the meats were lean and tender. Filet usually tends to be my favorite cut, but my favorites here were their top sirloin, Picanha and ironically the chicken hearts. I found these cuts to be the juiciest and the top sirloin had the most flavor. Unfortunately, the pork loin and most of the chicken items that I tried were on the drier side. Flavorful, but not as tender and juicy as I've had at other Brazilian steakhouses. Also, the beef ribs were too fatty for my liking, but I'm a pork ribs kind of gal anyways and only tried them since they were there. Service was excellent! Even though it was slower, we didn't feel bombarded by the crew who were bringing the meats. They were all super pleasant and a few of them were laughing at my friend's jokes (she loves socializing with the staff). They brought us extra cheese bread and plantains which were both delicious. We stayed here for a few hours and literally stuffed our faces. I don't visit these types of establishments too often these days (maybe once or rarely twice a year), so pigging out is necessary. We were stuffed, satisfied, and ready for a nap afterward. I would definitely come back here again. It doesn't beat my absolute favorite Brazilian steakhouse, but it's still a solid option for some delicious meats (especially if you're in the city).

Yelp
We came here for a celebration during lunch. The staff greeted us and were very friendly. The vibe of the restaurant feels very upscale and comforting. We waited in line at the salad bar there was a huge variety of food from salad to potatoes and shrimp. Everything there was very delicious. The cuts of meats were all very flavorful and tasty but my favorite had to be the top sirloin.

Yelp
I was a bit concerned with the email warning confirming my reservation that we wouldn't be seated until our entire party was present, but half of the party got stuck with cancelled rideshares and was tailing behind us and delayed in the rain and traffic. They were actually really chill about it and seated half of us that were there. 5:30-5:45 is kind of the ideal time to start. For a Friday night, it wasn't crowded but busy enough and not overwhelming. We were told that for the weekend, there were 17 cuts of meat. If debating whether to come here or Fogo De Chão, Espetus Churrascaria is by far the better option. Price is comparable but service is WAYYyyyyyyyy better here than at Fogo De Chão on 3rd St. (Review also available in my profile.) Foodwise, the fried items (marked gluten-free which was key for one our party), grilled pineapple and chicken hearts are available here and not at Fogo De Chão. The salad/hot sides area is smaller but the selection is different and I actually preferred this one. Our Brazilian colleague said the brown stew was better here (I've forgotten the name) and was delighted to receive freshly cut limes upon request. *ABNER* made the experience SO wonderful starting from the moment we sat down. He patiently explained the experience to us twice (for both halves of our party). We felt extremely well taken care of with our many requests and how he carefully took multiple group photos when asked. He has really good intuition and anticipates customer needs very well (like offering to refill hot water for tea). He also made us feel welcomed and that if we were looking for something specific from the gauchos, he was on it. We asked for more pineapple and chicken hearts! The ONLY feedback is that it would have been nicer to know his name upfront rather than me ask so we could have referred to him by name instead of "our guy". Name tags could easily solve this. Absolutely ask to be seated in Abner's section especially if you're with someone you're trying to impress! This was team dinner 2/2 this week with the locations of my choice and for all being foodies, I am admittedly a bit smug about my choices being such big hits.

Yelp
Came here for my husband's birthday over the Summer with teen sons. Impressive display of food, friendly staff, and clean, upscale dining areas. We arrived right before the dinner crowd (reservations highly suggested). Food is always amazing . You would think young men would mostly enjoy the variety of meats and buffet items. No, no, no...it was the light and fluffy, bite-sized cheese breads that accompanied every table. Always, spend on the buffet; it's worth it just to have a variety of delicious, interesting, and flavorful foods that most of us won't pull together ourselves. We were so excited that I forgot to take pictures.

Yelp
A good location for Brazilian. Parking is not good unfortunately. Inside restaurant looks nice. The service from the staff was attentive. The salad bar was good. The rounds of meat were nice. The bacon-wrapped chicken breast was dry and tough. The rest were pretty spot-on and good. Overall a pleasant experience.

Yelp
Definitely the best value Brazilian BBQ in SF. They have weekend and lunch deals, and a great selection of meats and the sides are great too! The pao de quiejo was so good, and those are also unlimited. This is a great place to come with a big group of people because of the AYCE, and also they have grilled pineapple! All the servers were friendly and helpful, and my friends and I had a great time at Espetus.

Yelp
Went for lunch and selected the full meat presentation (as opposed to just the salad bar). Service was very good, salad bar was very good. The Brazilian soft drinks were super pricey. Not a fan of the SF mandate tax. Would I come again? Yes!

Yelp
Brazilian BBQ by hot Brazilian men. Meat quality is good but not great. Reasonably priced for the experience. Don't get too stuffed in the salad bar. If want a notch higher scale and better ambience also try Fogo De Chão.

Yelp
Espetus is definitely an experience and generally a fun place to celebrate a birthday or bring friends from out of town! This most recent experience of mine was excellent and meat quality was great! I did enjoy the pork belly which to my memory was not always on the menu? Or possibly a new-ish addition? But my personal favorite are the roasted chicken hearts!

Yelp
Great food and it's unlimited all you can eat. We celebrated our anniversary here. Henrique Knob was our server. OMG, his service and attention to details is top top #1. I dropped my towel and immediately he noticed and gave me a new one. He came by to suggest how to enjoy our cold drinks better. I have allergy and he ensured all my food are free from it. I would go back just to enjoy Henrique's friendly chats again. My wife and I loved our evening here.

Yelp
This Brazilian steak house is really nice If you would like to feel special. I can say that service is amazing here. Ambiance is okay. It is on market street and gough which is a good location but little problem in terms of parking. It is obvious that food is little overpriced compare to other similar steak houses. In my opinion, it still worth it.

Yelp
We came to Espetus for the new year lunch deal! per person we paid about $42 for the AYCE lunch which includes the full salad bar and a few less meat options. The salad bar was just okay, most of the things were quite average and not worth filling a whole plate up. The best part was the fresh veggie salad like the cucumbers and tomatoes to break up the oil from all the meat. The cheese bread that is brought to every table is BOMB. It's light fluffy and very cheesey :) Favorite parts of Espetus: - unlimited meat! My favorite was most definitely the garlic chicken hearts. While it may sound intimidating, it was cooked perfectly every time and I definitely ate about 10 or so. The Picanha was also another great slice of meat when cooked medium rare to medium. - grilled pineapple was 11/10 i ate 3 slices along with my chicken hearts LOL - service was great. The waiters were attentive and everybody was very polite! I also really enjoyed the little card turner on your table that signals when you are ready for more meat selections Not so favorite parts of Espetus: - inconsistency in the meat. At the start of our meal, all the meats were EXTREMELY dry and overcooked especially the parmesan pork and pork sausage. We really thought the rest of the meal was going to be like that! Later some of the skewers came out with perfectly medium rare pieces. Not sure how they rotate the skewers but sometimes its inedible and sometimes its bleeding. - salad bar was underwhelming. I understand its difficult to keep the options all fresh, but i'd honestly prefer less variety and more fresh and well seasoned options. Overall, I have to give 3/5 stars because for the price I just don't think it was all worth the hype given my experience for lunch.

Yelp
Went here for my birthday. Loved the ambience and vibe and the waiters and staff were super nice. Food was 100/10 and the meat just kept on coming . Make sure to fill your stomach with more meat than sides cause we learned the hard way.

Yelp
went for my friends birthday! the buffet was an interesting touch to go along with the constant rotation of meats that circulate throughout your meal. the paella was on one of those hot containers and was still luke warm... not very good in my opinion and the mussels were dry. the prosciutto was dry on the edges , you could tell it had been put out hours ago and not rotated through. the fries were crispy but slightly stale and again you could tell it had been sitting under the salamander lamp for some time. there were a couple other things that we tried from the buffet but nothing that really blew us away... for the price of $75/head i feel as if the buffet should be held to a higher standard. the meat came often, you had lots of options and it was all hot and fresh! each one was delicious for its own reasons but the filet mignon really stood out to me! drinks were strong , the limeade lemonade thing was tart and delicious! service was nice, we were greeted at the door by the host who took our jackets and sat us even though we were a few minutes early! one thing that i thought was peculiar is that there is only one female employee. everyone else was male (we even asked her and she confirmed she was the only one). they sang our friend happy birthday and then we departed, nice and full! it was a nice experience but in the future i think i'll definitely go to a different steakhouse since there are so many.

Yelp
Come hungry the food is so good. I loved the beans and rice and salmon dish they had. The chicken hearts were a favorite as well. The service was quick, the waiters are attentive. The location is nice but harder to find parking depending on the time you go. Ambiance is relaxing and the restaurant was clean.

Yelp
Espetus ALWAYS knocks it out of the box when it comes to Brazilian churasarria's! The pit Fogo De Chao under the table! My wife and I dined with them for our birthdays, and the service was superb! Their team of gauchos, waiters, and with special mention to John were awesome! As a local Hayes Valley neighbor, ESPETUS is THE BEST and lives up to its name! And then some! YOU GOTTA GO CHECK IT OUT!

Yelp
Amazing dinners 1. Delicious salad bar with a great selection of tasty and interesting vegetables and non-grilled meats (e.g. seafood stew, kibbeh, prosciutto, etc.). Their cheese bread is also delicious! 2. great selection of BBQ meats. I like everything, but especially love the chicken thighs, prime tenderloin, shrimp, and pineapple. The medium/third rare cuts were so tender and juicy that they literally melted in your mouth. 3. excellent service and quick meat rotation. When we asked for a different doneness, the waiter always came right out with the doneness we requested. Very accommodating. 4. intimate and casual atmosphere, but still an upscale restaurant. Recommended for everyone to try!

Yelp
The meats were good, but some of the buffet items were old, over cooked shrimp, muscle chewy. I felt rushed as they came to ask me if I was all done and ready for dessert. I was not even there an hour. Rather than say that, they should ask if I'd like another plate. They asked me twice. When i told them, i am not done. They took my plate and did not give me another.
