"Those who believe skewered meat is its own food group should get a standing reservation at Espetus. The Hayes Valley Brazilian steakhouse serves an unlimited amount of at least a dozen different types of meat, all carved tableside. On occasion, some meats are a tad dry, but most times, whatever is gently plopped onto your plate is glistening with juices. Taking down all 12 kinds of meat would be a superhuman feat, so instead prioritize the picanha and the audibly crunchy barrigo de porco. While the meat should be the main focus of any meal here, the rotating salad and hot app bar is always worth a perusal. Count yourself lucky if there’s feijoda available. On most nights, this place is full and loud—keep it in mind for a casual get-together and try to make a reservation at least a couple of days in advance (weekday prices are also slightly cheaper). photo credit: Espetus" - Patrick Wong
