This was our second time here, and our first time in their awesome covered outdoor dining patio. It looks like a can stand from the street, but it's actually a nice little seating area for 10-12. I love that there's a classy indie place like this where I can take my mother-in-law somewhere grown up that has autistic-kids-approved chicken strips and "frites".

Google
Our large group enjoyed dinner here. I sat at the high top table with stools with short backs and rings to rest your feet and feasted on 30+ mussels in a mariniere sauce. The mussels were flavorful and plump. The accompanying fries were hot and tasty. Others enjoyed the baked mussels appetizer, redolent with garlic and basil/parsley.

Super cute spot! Incredible service. Very good food in a cozy setting. Been wanting to come for years - glad we finally did! Btw, Alex’s cake is delish!

As a Belgian, I was excited to try a restaurant that claims to offer authentic French and Belgian cuisine—especially Belgian fries. Unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. First, the atmosphere was chaotic. The restaurant was clearly overbooked, and the staff were visibly overwhelmed. Our server struggled to keep orders straight, and several nearby tables voiced complaints. It was obvious that service quality had been sacrificed in favor of packing in more customers. Now for the food: I ordered the Teres Major steak with pepper sauce, fries, and salad, while my companion had the Et Voilà burger with fries and salad. Sadly, nothing tasted remotely Belgian—and my standards weren’t even that high. The so-called pepper sauce tasted bizarrely like sausage water, to the point that I ended up switching plates with my non-Belgian dinner companion (who didn’t like it either). The fries? Just standard American ones. The burger was fine, but still went half uneaten. On a more positive note, they do have a solid beer selection—try the Orval if you go. But honestly, even if this meal cost half the price, I still wouldn’t return. If you're looking for something closer to actual Belgian cuisine, you're better off going to Belga.

Google
Just a wonderful smallish eatery. We stumbled across this treasure after some shopping nearby. The menu is excellent, food quality is wonderful, and Belgian beer menu is excellent. Service was spot on, no rush, timely clearing and friendly. Will definitely return.

Google
Thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Had a colleague and a client along with me for dinner outing. The Belgian inspired menu of items was fantastic. I ordered the escargot as an appetizer, they were delicious. Had the mussels for my entre, they too were outstanding. Service was friendly and attentive. Parking appeared it would be tough so we took a ride share. Prices are a bit elevated so if you're looking for a cheaper place to eat it may not be for you.

Stopped in on a Saturday around 2 00 pm. Rrght before they close for evening dinner service. The staff was still very accommodating. The food was excellent. Had the beef stew which was so deep in flavors and tender. Also the mussels were fresh. Didn't know that they offer 1/2 servings because the bowl was full of mussels. Finished with the floating dessert despite being so full, We devoured it all in minutes. Very much enjoyed the meal.

Google
My first visit and it won't be my last dining at this Belgian restaurant. Isham seated my companion and me and took care of us, along with several other wait staff. I really felt I was in Belgium again, the French onion soup was loaded with onions in a rich broth, topped with the thickest layer of baked cheese I've ever had! I chose a draft beer from the long list, a fine accompanying beverage. The Moules Marinière and frites came out, and again, took me back to Belgium! It being my birthday weekend, I was surprised by a little dessert with candle, and Isham sang to me!! A perfect lunch!

Yelp
An excellent French/Belgian bistro hidden away in the Palisades! I've been in this area a thousand times but never stumbled upon this place until now. Here's what we tried on our first visit: Eggs Meurette: poached eggs with bacon, roasted mushrooms, caramelized onions, and a red wine sauce on English muffin, served with a really fresh and perfectly dressed simple green salad. Croque Madame: Gruyère griddled open face sandwich with ham and a fried egg and Bechemal again served with a salad Fried egg sandwich with bacon Gruyère and caramelized onion. My toddler wolfed half down. Comes with a salad. Scrambled eggs with ham/spinach. Comes with a salad. Lovely outdoor patio but also a sizable and nice and surprisingly large interior. The service was quite friendly and attentive. They were so kind to my grumpy toddler who wasn't the most appropriately dressed after soccer class. We will definitely be back to try the onion soup, tartars, steak frites, and mussels!

Yelp
If you're looking for a neighborhood restaurant look no further. This is your local as you can get type of place. MUSSELS, MUSSELS, MUSSELS Oh so good and can't wait to eat them again!!!

Yelp
Beef Tartare & one of the best Onion Soups in DMV Weekend is always packed, besides two Thumbs up delicious foods, beer selection is also a big plus!

Yelp
Kids friendly! I love how we were seated in a section with families with kids. I give the restaurant 5 stars for that!!!! I always enjoy the wine selection and food here. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Used to like this place. It was never remarkable but was solid. Took dad for Father's Day today as we did last year. The mussels were comically small, the service was unaccommodating and uncaring (yes, it was our fault that we ordered our fries crispy and they came out halfway into eating our mussels; the kitchen could never have been asked to time it, the waitress told us). Ambiance is showing its age - feels long in the tooth. None of our requests were accommodated the first time and usually not the second. The attitude was unacceptable. Et Voila! We never came back again ...

Yelp
One of the best restaurants in DC without a shadow of doubt. Service was half decent but every dish we ordered was top. Great wine options as well just a bit tight inside the restaurant. The perfect neighborhood spot as well

Yelp
This was the first place we thought of to eat when in DC recently from out of state-- we've been craving it since 2016! The Moules Marinière didn't disappoint. There was so much food and the pomme frites were hot and crispy-- albeit coming to the table little delayed after the mussels appeared (10 min later). The wine (1 glass of sangiovese turned into 3!) and beer list was great.

Yelp
On a warm summer afternoon, I ambled over to Et Voila for lunch around 11:45am. By the time noon rolled around, the place was packed! This must be the place to be. And when the food arrived, I knew why - authentic Belgian dishes (and beer). I got the beet salad - fresh, firm beets with tart grapefruit and soft goat cheese, very subtle. Then the salmon tartare, also mild, but the salmon eggs added the briny taste of the sea. Add the very friendly service staff, and you have a great lunch on the outskirts of DC. If you're looking for a Belgian meal, give Et Voila a try!

Yelp
Such an incredible lovely space & team working here. My husband is regularly wanting to come here for all of our dinners, I guess he better get a membership card . Such great ambience, food, service, and drinks. Cheers to doing everything right!

Yelp
Wonderful, very quaint little restaurant in upper Northwest DC! Great atmosphere, very attentive and friendly service, and delicious Belgium food! I got the scrambled eggs with mushrooms, spinach, and ham, along with a side order of Belgium fries and a mimosa. My dish also came with English muffins and a salad, so it was a generous amount of food! The scrambled eggs had a very unique taste to them! Definitely not your typical scrambled eggs. I also shared a sundae that was delicious, and we all really enjoyed the freshly baked, very warm bread! Super friendly waiter, and even the fellow patrons were super friendly! It was just a really fun, enjoyable, brunch! I highly recommend this restaurant. FYI, it's on the small side, so you should definitely make reservations!

Yelp
I rarely give five stars to a restaurant I'm visiting for the first time; I tend to feel I need more than one visit to be able to give such an enthusiastic review. Et voila -- c'etait vraiment unique. When my friend suggested it, I looked it up online and thought, "Yikes, I'm not in the mood for such heavy food!" Don't let the descriptions fool you -- the food is spectacular, and they accommodate tweaks without hesitation. I had the beef stew -- the beef was light, the sauce flavorful. Rather than mashed potatoes, I asked for brussels sprouts (without the bacon -- I thought that would've put me over) and the sprouts were delicious. My friend had the Sole Meunière and said it was also great (I don't eat seafood so didn't taste it). Save up for dessert. Seriously. We shared a Coupe Brésilienne, and it was a perfect not-too-sweet end to a perfect meal. Our server and the others who worked there were all lovely; the mood was festive and ebullient. Definitely make a reservation -- it was filled to the rafters! Looking forward to my next visit.

Yelp
Wonderful vibe in this neighborhood gem. We were seated right away and had an excellent server who made our visit special. We ordered the cheese board which had an assortment of very delicious cheese, cheese puffs which were amazing, apricots and candied pecans. Great start. We had the burger, salmon and rigatoni bolognese. All were delicious. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Took my boyfriend here for Father's Day as he wanted to try French food and escargots was definitely on his mind. The restaurant itself is cute and not too big. Great mini patio area. Anywho, It was quite confusing where the host stand was and no one really greeted us. I made a reservation for patio seating, however my boyfriend ended up wanting to sit at the bar which I'm glad we did. I believe the bartender's name is Dusan. He was very straight forward about which dishes he loved, honesty is awesome. I ordered a gin cocktail and my boyfriend got an old fashioned, both we great cocktails and reasonably priced especially being in DC. Alright, for appetizers we ordered baked escargot and mussels. I will have to say escargot is definitely an acquired taste, my boyfriend sId they were ok, but I will never try them again. Not my cup of tea. The mussels were honestly the best thing we had there. It was packed with flavor and the garlic was so pungent. I love garlic! For entrees we got the special oxtail and he got the branzino. Sides of cavatappi pasta, brussel sprouts, and Spinach. Food arrived super cold and quite bland. Out of the two entrees the branzino had a nice crispy skin. I guess I learned yesterday, we are not a fan of French cuisine. The spinach and Brussel sprouts were drenched in oil. Literally nothing but a touch of salt on it. Lack of seasoning. Cavatelli pasta was nothing special either. Again everything was cold and already saw the fatty white parts geling up. My oxtail was unique in execution, but it was not tasty. Good try though... the food was such a turn off I didn't even want dessert. Such a shame because I love dessert. Oxtail was $24 for barely literally an ounce and like 3 ounces of foie Gras mousse and legit half a giant onion layered between that. Branzino was cooked perfectly at $33, for no taste though. Dusan was awesome though. For $160. I would have rather enjoy and leave satisfied with a full belly. Disappointed and won't be driving 35 minutes to come back.

Yelp
We threw a birthday luncheon for almost 30 people at Et Voila and it was absolutely lovely! We offered a choice of omelet, Croque Monsieur or Burger. Rave reviews by one and all. Meals were served with a delicious side salad and mouthwatering Belgian style fries. The profiteroles for dessert were delectable - light and delicious. But the most accolades are reserved for the staff. Chloe and Marvin and El Hamesh were subtle but attentive and so very helpful during planning, setup and throughout the event. I can't recommend Et Voila more highly!

Yelp
Mussels and sides were terrific. Easy-going staff happy to accommodate orders without judgement - yet intuitive when offering insight on menu choices. Bread was fabulous! I will return.

Yelp
Great mussels! I wished there was more juice though. Great appetizers! Great service and ambiance! We do recommend and will go back.

Yelp
What a disappointment! I was surprised to be able to get a reservation when I called at 6 PM on Saturday, maybe that should have been a warning? They were taking walk ins. I waited outside by the door for around 10 minutes while my friend was parking, not a single person greeted me, asked if we had a reservation, offered to seat us, etc. When we inquired, we were told we had to go inside to see the host. My friend commented that the servers seemed quite gruff. He came from across town, and was excited to try it for the first time. We got the endive salad, which was good. Friend got trout, I got mussels. They were plump but fairly tasteless, the only thing with much flavor was the celery. It's the only time in my life that I had no interest in soaking up the sauce - which is good since it did not come with bread. Fries were cold. The desert was described as homemade dark chocolate ice cream with pralines, but it was tasteless, no pralines, and little if any chocolate flavor, certainly not dark chocolate. I asked the server if it was homemade, he said yes and that I was the only person who had complained. It was not worth the calories, and I didn't eat it - also a first. My friend had said he wanted some really good chocolate ice cream and we considered going to Thomas Sweet, but when I saw that dessert description, it sounded great so we ordered it instead. We both felt we had had a very poor dining experience, aside from the bread, butter and salad. The food was sorely lacking, the service was not gracious, even the chairs and the menus were noticeably super worn out. My friend commented about the paper napkins at the start, I said maybe its the after effects of the pandemic. I went anticipating a really good meal, thinking my friend would be delighted to discover Et Voila. We ended up spending $150 and wishing we had just stayed home.

Yelp
This place is becoming our go-to place. My husband and I came to this place to have lunch. We loved it. The place was packed with so many people even Friday afternoon. First I had Et Voila!" Burger. A burger was nicely cooked as a medium which I asked for. The portion was pretty huge. It came with a green salad and fried. Also, we had Alex's cake. We loved Dark and Milk Chocolate Mousse. It was not too sweet. The texture of the mousse was soft. I highly recommended this dessert. The second time I came with my family, As a drink: I had Raspberry Bellini. I loved it. It was very refreshing. I had Moules Diable - Mussels Cooked with Tomatoes, Shallots & Lobster Bisque. The mussels were nicely cooked and not bitter. I really enjoyed lobster bisque. My husband had a French Onion Soup. - The soup was seasoned perfectly. As for dessert: Profiteroles: I couldn't stop eating the chocolate sauce. ET VOILA CHOCOLATE SUNDAE: The portion was huge. This was my least favorite. I guess I was too full to enjoy. This is a very cute and delicious neighborhood restaurant.

Yelp
This experience was extremely lacking in the service dept, but the food was good. Mussels were tasty, fries were definitely good, waffle itself was dry and didn't really have a lot of taste but the fruit toppings were outstanding. Steak was excellent. The desserts were beautiful, taste ranged (and they were not consistent, my friend said she had the same dessert that was warm one time and this time was cold). They tried, not very hard, to accommodate a food allergy, that worked out fine. Regarding the service, wow, it started when our server showed up at the table well after we were seated, to the point where one of our group said "I thought you forgot about us." I ordered the mussels and the waffle, and I ate a portion of the meal with the intention of taking what was left with me to go (not unusual, right?). The server said they didn't recommend taking mussels, I said I understood but wanted to anyway, he said ok he would box it up, then he disappeared. After multiple conversations with multiple servers (I think had a total of 4 by the end of the meal), I asked about the to go box because we had to leave, and was informed the original server went on break and they would never box up mussels, and it was noted in the menu. I reviewed the menu before I even went there (as any foodie would) and I assure you it is not in any of the menus or on their website anywhere. After several rounds of debate (they didn't believe me that the first server said he would box everything for me), they offered to make a new order (which would have been to go, irony anyone?), but didn't really seem to care one way or the other. I did tip on the bill as normal, although I'm questioning that now. It was obviously not the end of the world, but did leave a bad taste for what is supposed to be a friendly neighborhood restaurant. Bottom line, it seemed like no one really cares and a not very organized place, with decent food and a nice ambience.

Yelp
Great food, Wonderful ambiance, cozy. For me, it's great that it's great to have a neighborhood restaurant right around the corner (Palisades).

Yelp
Another exquisite dinner at Et Voila with friends visiting. Every dish was expertly prepared and so delicious. I can understand why Et Voila is so highly regarded - every time we have dined there has been a top notch experience.

Yelp
On a Monday evening in August, my family and I enjoyed a lovely French and Belgian fare on Et Voilà outdoor patio. We were lucky and found street parking a block away from the restaurant. The gents in our party enjoyed a glass of red wine while the ladies in our party enjoyed mocktails - virgin mojito and The Manneken Pis. The Manneken Pis consisted of pineapple, lime juice, and coconut milk shaken and served over the rocks in a whiskey glass. While we were glancing over the food menu, our server told us about tonight's special which featured a Foie Gras Terrine and Cold Eggplant Soup. For appetizers, we shared French Onion Soups, Caesar Salads, and Steamed Mussels Mariniere. The French Onion Soup was topped with croutons & melted gruyere cheese. I was not a fan of the salty broth but my brother loved it. The Caesar Salad consisted of fresh romaine lettuce tossed in a Caesar dressing topped with Boquerón anchovies, shaved parmesan, and seasoned croutons. The Steamed Mussels Mariniere consisted of Dutch Mussels (from Maine) cooked with White Wine, Leeks, Fennel, Garlic, and Onions. It came with crispy Belgian Fries and a pot to put your shells. The sauce was flavorful and we were glad we saved bread to dip into it. My dad had the Carbonnade A La Flamanade, which consisted of tender cuts of beef cooked with carrots in a savory dark Belgian beer. It was served with a toast with mustard and herbs and a side of mashed potatoes. My brother had the Beef Tartare, which consisted of diced beef tenderloin, shallots, chive, capers, cornichons, tabasco, worcestershire, and sauce tartare mixed together and plated like a hamburger patty. He was a bit surprised it wasn't served with sliced baguette. Instead of a mixed green salad and Belgian fries, my brother got Yukon Gold mashed potato and spinach topped with lemon zest. My mom and I shared the Sole Meuniere, which consisted of Norway Sole sautéed with lemon, parsley, and capers in brown butter. It was really delicious. We liked how they filleted it tableside. It was served with Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and spinach topped with lemon zest. Unfortunately, we didn't save room for dessert but plan to be back to try their other offerings!

Yelp
I fell in love last night. With Et Voila!!! This is the fine dining experience that I had been hoping for, for some time now. They earned 5 stars in service, cleanliness, ambience/decor, and of course the food. Ahhh...The meal! Let me tell you about it! Drinks: the Smokeypolitan (really hit the spot) and Chimay White Belgian Ale. Appetizers: Foie gras, which was served on homemade toasted bread, and with a special sauce. We also shared the endive salad, which had just the right amount of dressing (not excessive, thank God!) and cheeses. Entrees: son got the mussels (Moules Diablo) and I had the Flemish beef stew (served with mashed potatoes) Dessert: Profiteroles! Plus a cappuccino for each of us. What a night to remember! I will be back!

Yelp
Ambiance is nothing special but the food is fantastic. Epitome of a neighborhood bistro. Baked mussels, French onion soup, steak frites, and bolognes are all excellent. Wine list is also

Yelp
My wife and I came here for the first time tonight to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. They were VERY busy but the general manager Sylvian took the time to give us an amazing experience. The food was great and the beer selection was incredible with many brews I'd never even heard of (I'm a professional brewer) absolutely loved the experience and will definitely be back!

Yelp
4/17/22 While celebrating Easter Sunday at my dad's house, I saw Louis The 14th favorite food was served. A cheese called Brie De Meaux. Well I ate the cheese, but not the rind which is edible for Brie De Meaux. This would appall Louis The 14th and many other people in this world. I don't care for the rind (which is the top and bottom of a hard crust of the cheese). I would be considered gauche ("lacking ease or grace; unsophisticated and socially awkward"...must be so, but I don't gave a...you know what. I am who I am. Moving on, my dad ordered food from Et Volia for the second time I have visited him. The first experience wasn't so good, but this time around, Et Volia has outdone itself. The beef stew melted in your mouth at almost the first touch. The mashed potatoes were delicious and more than enough for five people. The cheesecake (which wasn't from Et Voila) was perfect. I generally do not eat cheesecake, but today is Easter Sunday and I was with family. It would seem when you order from Et Volia, you get some foods that are you get some food that are semi-prepared and you finish the rest of the meal at home. Not sure if this is the French way, but you gotta trust the French know what they are doing. Trust the French?! In this review and from this experience I had, I say "ABSOLUMENT." I can't say how next time will be from ordering take out, but I hope it is magnifique.

Yelp
How this place isn't 5/5 blows my mind. Stan and Negal were AMAZING. Everyone was incredibly safe and distanced. They had dividers up everywhere. Our utensils were sterilized and wrapped in plastic until use. The FOOD was to die for. Made with love for sure. The Chef is the owner. The staff could not say enough good things about him, which made me happy to hear that he treats his staff well. The food was beautiful. We had the Yellowtail Tartare, soup of the day, and warm goat cheese salad. We had the sausage and sole for dinner. Lastly we had the special dessert. It was the best restaurant experience I have ever had. Best staff Best vibe Best food Best service We will definitely be back. #SupportLocalBusinesses

Yelp
My dad grew up in Belgium and my grandmother passed away a few years ago. There are an overwhelming amount of Belgian places in D.C. but I researched who made their carbonnade/beef stew like Belgians and how my grandma made it. Not only was the hospitality magnificent but so was the food and the vibe. Thank you for bringing the feel good memories back to our family for the night.

Yelp
Superb on every level!!! My favorite DC Cafe in the most charming part of town!! The mussels are my go-to along with a stellar wine list.

Yelp
First off, the decor indoors was what caught my eye. My party of three came here for lunch on a Friday without reservations and were immediately seated indoors. We noticed the main lunch menus didn't have much for a vegetarian, but when we asked the server, they agreed to let us order a vegetarian pasta off their dinner menu for the night. Kudos to them for being so flexible. The food was amazing and portions were great. I personally had the burger, due to the immediate recommendation by the hostess. She was not wrong, as the burger was delicious, juicy, and perfectly topped. My mouth waters just thinking about it again! That being said, everything on the menu looked amazing and I'm definitely interested in coming back! TLDR: definitely worth the trip! Very interesting decor and friendly service!

Yelp
Great food. Ate outside and the restaurant provided blankets for the customers. Also, the service was good. Would recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Really, really good French & Belgian restaurant that won't empty your wallet. Wife couldn't resist the escargot, son loved the Belgian beef stew (very similar to what we had in Brugge), profiteroles were perfect. GET RESERVATIONS, way ahead of time

Yelp
4 of us dined outside on a beautiful evening. Couldn't have been happier. My fish was delish! Came served atop spinach & sweet potato fries on the side. Yum! Excellent service. Parking is in the street, so allow time to seek it out. Highly recommended.

Bill M.

Yelp
My wife and I each ordered mussels. One in traditional sauce and one in pastis sauce. We were not impressed. Several of the muscles tasted fishy which was an indication they were not fresh. A couple of them were broken or unopened. Neither sauce was particularly flavorful. Although the first basket of bread was included, an additional basket cost $4.50 which was not revealed by the server. our server was very pleasant and efficient. The included french fries were crispy and well prepared. The daily specials did not have accompanying prices on the list. Upon inquiry, we learned the specials to be eye-popping in price.

Todd M.

Yelp
Excellent neighborhood restaurant. The mussels are superb. Indoor seating (we prefer the high tables) and outdoor seating are available.

Yelp
Classic Belgian cusine in a cozy neighborhood setting. Starting with great cocktails and appetizers (order the cheese board with the cheese puffs as a starter). The French Onion soup is filling enough to be a delicious meal in itself. Molles and frits are their mainstay but you'll also find excellent fish and a hangar steak. Works for a romantic dinner or for friends. Seating offered outside.

Yelp
Great spot. Suggest reservations...or prepare to wait in a crowded bar area. Not a lot variety in both the menu (only a few options) and staff (not a minority in sight). ‍ Solid good, professional staff, lovely hostess, and clean bathrooms...

Yelp
My family and I had an absolutely wonderful dinner here this past weekend. Had to dock a star because the tables in the back are too tight, making for lots of awkward comings and goings of patrons. But truly, that is the only negative thing I would say about the experience. The menu is stellar, and it was incredibly tough to pick something to eat. Ultimately everyone was very pleased with their dishes. Highlights included the grilled octopus special (covered in BBQ sauce - don't knock it 'til you try it), the beef stew, and their award-winning mussels, which were so plump and flavorful. Fries were to perfection. Even the water glasses were pleasurable. Go for the Merveilleux dessert. It's so light and fluffy. Next time, I'd ask to be sat in the front dining room instead of in the back.

Last night: Their duck confit is the best I've had in the city-- or outside of france. It also traveled really well for delivery. They have other delivery March 2020: They r open during COVID19 daytime and evening hours, even Monday! Got a Latte-- they'll make you espresso drinks and have fantastic gourmet pantry items and a large mix of Belgian Beers. Haven't been here yet for a meal but excited for all the items to try.

Yelp
The maitre'd was nowhere to be found when we arrived. After about ten minutes he showed up (and a line out the door had gathered). He did not say hello, basically said nothing, and bruskly showed us to the back room and a table by the bathrooms. Being a couple feet from people going in and out of the bathroom was unpleasant. A screen, curtain, or something to provide some kind of division would be good. Or don't put a table right there. We waited 15 mins and finally had to ask a server for a waiter. He was very good once he came. The beet salad was bland and tasteless, and had virtually no grapefruit or cheese to improve the taste. Basically a bowl of plain beets. Our entrees were all very good. It has become a super popular restaurant in an area where there are very many. They need to make sure customer service doesn't slip even when they're busy.

Yelp
This area in our nation's capital has some hidden gems. Et Voila offers exquisite French and Belgian cuisine. Street parking is plentiful. For my entree, I had the mussels in red curry sauce. French fries accompany the mussels. For dessert, we shared an order of profiteroles. Service at Et Voila was great. This place is recommended to anyone.

Yelp
This place is fantastic - even for the very discriminating palette (my husband's). Had the trout today - it was wonderful - as was the beet salad. Soup of the day was cream of celery root - delicious. (Sadly, the French onion soup is off the menu. It was the best in town so hope they'll bring that back). Had the Croque madame and monsieur - both great. Have had the hamburger there (wonderful) and the mussels. The service is great. Hard to get a spot outside.

Yelp
This is truly a hidden gem in the Palisades neighborhood of Washington DC. Those who know, know. Some of the best food in town comes from this long running neighborhood boutique restaurant helmed by the legendary Chef Claudio and Chef Alex. Go for the Dover sole, the Alex Cake, the Flemish stew, and basically anything on the menu. Everything is made in house. They also have a kids menu which is great.

Yelp
Et Voila opened in 2008 in the Palisades neighborhood serving French Belgian food for brunch, lunch, and dinner. When you enter the space, it's clear you've stumbled upon a neighborhood joint. It's always full with familiar faces. The space itself is intentionally a little more cramped. There's a bar in the very front of the house next to a small European market selling goods like jams and cheeses. There are two narrow dining rooms with tables closer together to encourage community. Despite the close quarters, you don't feel on top of anyone or in the way of service happening. The menu itself is large and the service impeccable. Your server is a great resource about the daily specials and what wine should be paired with what dish. They also have cocktails, and of course, beer. In terms of food, it's all local and fresh. The Amish from Pennsylvania bring in vegetables and herbs and the mussels are flown in from Maine every morning. To start, we ordered a delicious warm goat cheese salad and French onion soup. For our main, my wife ordered the moules mariniere mussels and I the hamburger. Both came with French fries. For dessert, my wife ordered the pavlova and I the chocolate waffles. Everything was phenomenal and fresh. If you love Belgian French food, run to Et Voila. It's well worth your time!

Yelp
Very popular destination in a very affluent neighborhood. The prices are what you would anticipate. Nevertheless, a lovely neighborhood type restaurant and we have returned on many occasions. Both the food and the service are at a high level. On MacArthur and like Mac Arthur we shall return. You should also.

Yelp
Our group of 7 enjoyed a fantastic meal last night with exceptional service. On our end, the reservation wasn't made correctly and they went out of their way to accommodate our large party. This was a special birthday dinner so they saved the night! Most of us ordered the mussels and frites (fries) l. The mussels were cooked to perfection and the frites are the best in the city.

Yelp
Everything was delicious! Fabulous wine list, lentils were super flavorful, branzino was perfectly seasoned and the side was amazing with different textures, romantic setting, and very attentive service. Just wow.
