My top omakase experience this year and it's not even the most expensive!
@sushiaozora led by Executive chef Ben Chen, who started making sushi at 16 and trained in a legacy sushi house in Hong Kong before cooking at O Ya, Sushi Ishikawa, Kiseki, and Sushi Seki. He blends Japanese precision with global inspiration, curating a 16-course (that's what it says on their website although if I can count, pretty sure we got 18!) omakase with seafood flown straight from Toyosu Market and seasonal ingredients from the Union Square Greenmarket.
The hospitality, the ambience, and the attention to details makes this one of the most thoughtful, joyful, and memorable omakase experiences I've had in NYC.
