Yelp
Hello my peeps! It's been a hot minute, part of it's life gets in the way and part of it is finding places that are truly worth the time to share thoughts on Yelp. Y'all know from my reviews I'm kinda in to food. Like. A lot. I want to steer you in the right direction. This is a spot you must put on your compass, in your GPS, find it with a sextant. Hell, use bloodhounds for all I care, but find you way to this new Riverside shop run by residents of Riverside. What I love more than food? Supporting local. You should too. The man gets enough of our money - support the little guys!
TL;DR - New butcher shop, fish monger, food market to the Riverside area that is run and staffed by awesome people ready to answer questions and get you exactly what you are looking for. Easy parking and high quality. You're missing out if you don't check these guys out.

So what is a Frazie. Well on one hand it's one of the owners and the big bearded always smiling guy behind the counter who is absolutely primed and ready to answer any question or help anyone. It's also a new, I'll call it neighborhood market, that just opened in Riverside. On street parking along with some off street parking lot spots behind the building make this a super easy in and out. Bring your furry friend? There's a fresh water station by the front door.
Inside you'll find a wide range of small business produced foodstuffs. From eggs sourced around the neighborhood (check these out!), indigo popcorn from S.C., homemade dog treats. Along one wall is a freezer/refrigerator bank that is filling out with a whole host of goodies. A growling selection of local cheeses (burrata, anyone?), single cuts of beef, pork, lamb and chicken all ready to head home with you. Yet more doors full of pre-made take-home options, today it was several different taco kits - perfect for that oh f&*( I don't want to cook tonight evenings. Takes minute and browse the case, I promise you'll find at least one thing you can't resist and will plop in to your shopping basket.
Near the entrance is the eye candy. The alter. The stage. The meat case. One side is filled with a wide range of incredibly high quality pork products ranging from ground pork in bulk, beautiful bone in or boneless chops and more. Keep going and it's the beef side of the house - lots of options here as well, either Wagyu or Certified Angus Beef (it'll be marked as CAB). Oh - they'll cut or trim anything you want - just ask! Further around the corner are some pre-marinated and ready to take home chicken options (hello weeknights!). Last but not least and unfortunately tucked in the corner is the fresh fish case. Today's options were some really excellent looking snapper, a beautiful chunk of tuna (gonna sear some of that tonight), and lots of the finest farm raised salmon you can get from Verlasso.
No time for big cooking? No worries, checkout the blackboard which will have the days sandwiches. They will tingle those adverse to higher price points, and if that's you I'm sorry but these guys are making everything in these sandos from scratch, with love, using premium ingredients. I just finished the Mr. Gogi and it was a delightfully smoky, Korean-y, slightly messy pile of deliciousness that I'll dream about.
Long story not short - get to these guys and give them a shot!
