"Walk in the doors of this Riverside butcher shop and mini market and there’s usually a crew of meat lovers gazing at slabs of filet mignon and housemade sausage links in the display case. The rest of the shop includes some produce, a few pre-made items, and what we really come here for: the sandwiches. Frazie's generously piles slices of butcher meat in between bread, making the average sub look and taste like a dainty tea sandwich. When we want a hearty sandwich that'll have us set for hibernation, we get the ATL Chop with chunks of wagyu beef, tons of lettuce, onions, and peppers drenched in a tangy orange sauce. For lighter lunch, we'll snag the Mr. Pink spinach herb wrap filled with salmon, bacon, sriracha, and a creamy slaw. Food Rundown Arby Who? That fast food chain may claim they have the meats, but Frazie's should co-opt that slogan. The thinly shaved roasted ribeye is juicy and piled high on a savory onion roll with a tangy sauce that pulls it all together. Get this, and get plenty of napkins. photo credit: Sarah Newman ATL Chop The ATL Chop fills a soft baguette with chopped wagyu beef that’s buttery and thick, tons of lettuce, onions, and peppers drenched in a tangy orange sauce. It’s hearty enough to prepare a bear—or a whole baseball team—for winter hibernation, so get this when hunger hits hard. photo credit: Sarah Newman Mr. Pink This is one of the lighter choices on the meat-heavy menu (but it still has two forms of protein, so the butcher is still butchering). A spinach herb wrap comes stuffed with salmon, meaty bacon, sriracha, and a creamy slaw. It's what we get when we're trying to avoid a lot of bread but still want the feel of a sandwich. photo credit: Sarah Newman photo credit: Sarah Newman photo credit: Sarah Newman photo credit: Sarah Newman Pause Unmute" - Juli Horsford
