The 13 Best Sushi Spots In Atlanta - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"With the amount of people packed into this great Japanese restaurant in Chamblee, you’d think it was the only place serving sushi within a 100 mile radius. Without a reservation, you’ll likely have to join the groups of people hovering outside on the sidewalk, waiting 30 minutes for a table. But we’ll gladly wait each time because the menu is stuffed with more than 50 signature rolls—that’s not hyperbolic, we actually counted. And they’re mostly all excellent choices, so go with anything from that menu, but we like the peppy and super filling Hot Night with fried scallops, mango, sriracha, tuna, red tobiko, and a drizzle of wasabi lime. The variety extends to the prices too, and we appreciate the range from the $12 spicy tuna roll with five meaty pieces to the wagyu-topped roll at $34." - juli horsford, nina reeder

The Best Things We Ate This Month

"“Fudo is mainly known for their extremely good sushi, but the best thing I ate there happened to be one of their rice bowls. The marinated short rib on top could’ve been eaten with a spoon and was so good I wish it had an AYCE option. But the best part was the little pile of fried kimchi that added some crunch and a powerful zing to the bowl. Next time I visit, I’ll be ordering one less roll to make room for this dish.”—Juli Horsford, staff writer" - nina reeder, juli horsford, demarco williams, jacinta howard

Fudo - Review - Chamblee - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"With the amount of people packed into this very good sushi spot, you’d think it was the only place serving sushi within a 100-mile radius of Chamblee. They're here for the enormous variety of quality sushi and speciality rolls, and that’s why you should come too. With more than 50 signature rolls on the menu, it’s easy to go as plain (the California wrapped in seaweed) or as peppy (the filling Hot Night with fried scallops, mango, sriracha, tuna, red tobiko, and a drizzle of wasabi lime) as you like. Just avoid peak dinner hours unless you like waiting for a table and a lot of noisy chatter. Food Rundown Rice Cake These little rice cakes are our favorite small plate here. They come absolutely loaded down with melted mozzarella cheese and a nice portion of gochujang aioli for big flavor. photo credit: Tabia Lisenbee-Parker Gyu-Don We know you’re here for sushi, but it’s worth ordering one less roll to try this rice bowl. The marinated short rib on top is so tender it can be eaten with a spoon and the fried kimchi adds some crunch and a powerful zing. Smoky Delicacy This signature roll is a bit of a miss because it’s an overload of salmon skin. The smoky, crunchy skin overpowers the rest of the ingredients like the spicy kabayaki sauce and avocado. Firecracker Fried Roll This roll packs in spicy tuna, salmon, and crispy fried asparagus. The spicy aioli on top provides a nice sharp finish. Hot Night This is our favorite roll because it has a lot of flavors going on. The fried scallops are excellent, and the bits of mango and sriracha give a sweet and spicy combo that we dig. photo credit: Tabia Lisenbee-Parker photo credit: Tabia Lisenbee-Parker photo credit: Tabia Lisenbee-Parker" - Juli Horsford

The sushi at Fudo never disappoints—always fresh and packed with flavor. We started with the Dynamite Shrimp, which was amazing—crispy, saucy, and full of flavor. For sushi, we ordered the King Kong, Fantasy, and Legally Blonde rolls—all super tasty and beautifully presented. That said, be prepared for a wait. We waited about 40 minutes for a table, then another 30 minutes for our appetizer, and over 40 minutes more for our sushi. Our server was nice but rarely checked in, likely because of how busy it was. The food is absolutely worth it, but the experience can feel a bit slow during peak hours. Just a reminder that they do not accept reservations for 2 people which can be a pain!

Google
A very solid spot for sushi and other food items. Service was fantastic. Our waitress was friendly and quick. Lots of options so everyone is bound to find something they like. Definitely recommend making a reservation as it fills up quickly.

Every time we come here, we have an excellent time. The sushi rolls have creative names. The drinks are excellent. The atmosphere is lively. The service is on point. It’s no surprise you’ll find a busy most nights. For a party of two you can often sit at the bar while you wait for a table. The espresso martini is excellent.

Google
Terrific sushi spot! Place is very popular for their delicious signature rolls! I've yet to dine in at this location but enjoy the take out food everytime. Ordered a ton of rolls this round for 5 people. Everyone loved theirs. A star is born, tomahawk chop, king Kong, star wars, firecracker, bang bang shrimp, bumble bee, rock, paper, shrimp, sunshine roll, my idol roll, venom fried roll, diver and the Lord of the Rings that included stone crabs inside. Never had stone crab in a sushi roll!! We went a little crazy but it was all worth it. Forgive me for my photos as they are unpacked from to-go boxes. Doesn't do it full justice but I'm telling you it's a great place - must try!!

Google
The signature rolls here were spectacular. They had a good fish-rice ratio, and a harmonious balance of flavor. We enjoyed the Mission Impossible, X-men, and Fantasy rolls. We have heard good things about the "A Star is Born" roll as well. The scallop hand roll was filled to the brim. The scallops were fried well (not dried out, still succulent). The nigiri had a good fish-rice ratio as well. The sweet shrimp had a velvety texture, and the additional fried shrimp heads were umami-rich. The chutoro melted in our mouths. We enjoyed our Shang-Chi cocktail. It was refreshing. The Earl Grey Creme Brulee had potent Earl Grey taste, but was a tad bit too sweet per our preference. The ambiance was quite loud. Decor was modern. The place was packed on a Tuesday. Highly encourage a reservation.

Google
Went to FUDO Sushi on a Thursday at 6pm—super packed and felt cramped. Our server was great and attentive. Dumpling Soup was tasty, but the broth was overly salty. We got the Don’t Judge Me Roll and Double Dragon—both delicious and came out fast. But the Spicy Tuna on the Rocks came 30 mins after those and was disappointing: stale rice, tiny portion, and overwhelming flavor. Service was solid, but the wait and food inconsistency were a downside.

Google
I've been here twice now and I just love this place! The food, drinks, service and atmosphere are all great. The dynamite shrimp is a must and I highly recommend the lychee martini, hot night roll and over the rainbow roll. Oh and don't leave without dessert- the sticky toffee cake was delicious 😋 Edit: I've been back a few more times and I'll probably keep going until I try everything 🙈, but came to say that I love the First Kiss roll as well!

Google
Top tier sushi spot in OTP Atlanta! We’ve been wanting to try this spot for a hot minute and we finally decided to do so recently. I highly recommend a reservation! We went at 4pm on a Saturday and it was already packed but thankfully I had made a res. The service is 10/10 right from the get go! Our water glass never was empty, they refill it so much which is VERY appreciated. They had a full bar and have several signature cocktails. I definitely recommend the lychee martini! It was amazing. One of the best I’ve ever had! We ordered so much food, I can’t even remember all the names of what we got! The Japanese fried chicken was super yum, as was the red snapper crudo! We got both for an app. We also got the chef’s choice sashimi platter which was AMAZING! The pieces were HUGE and it was so fresh. Definitely recommend the sashimi!! We then got like 4 different roll, and all of them were exceptional. Everything was 10/10 and incredibly delicious! This place is top 3 for sushi for us in Atlanta! HIGHLY recommend!

Yelp
Finally got around to trying this place and it did not disappoint! The service was top notch and the staff were all so friendly. Cozy spot for date night. I'd recommend making a reservation if you can because it is not a very large space. We came in around 3:30/4 on a Saturday and it was already packed. We sat at the sushi bar and it was fun watching them prepare all of the rolls. Thought the pricing was really responsible considering what good quality it was. The list of speciality rolls was impressive. There's something for everyone. Appetizer: Rock Paper Shrimp- nicely done. We typically like the spicy tuna version of this but it was fun to try something new. The dynamite shrimp on top of this was great Rolls: Pokémon, Hot Gossip, Red Carpet and Devil. Pokémon was by far our favorite followed by the Devil roll. Hot gossip was good but wouldn't order again because there are others I'd prefer to try. Was very heavy. Red carpet was on the bland side and probably wouldn't order again. Can't wait to come back and try more of their rolls.

Yelp
Best Sushi in Brookhaven / Chamblee and I don't think its close. The specialty roll selection is massive, which makes ordering here super fun with lots of variety. The fish is high quality and the rest of the ingredients are fresh as well. Service has always been prompt. This place is a scene, ESPECIALLY on Friday and Saturday nights. Moreover, this place is SO loud that you can't talk to people, even the host stand to pick up takeout, without considerable effort. It's so loud that we don't go in-person anymore, we just do takeout, which is VERY good, but I can't give full marks to a place that makes me uncomfortable. 4.4/5 rounding down due to noise level but I could see younger people putting up with it. Keep up the great food and love having this place in the neighborhood

Yelp
Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. It was busy, and lively even though it was cold and rainy outside. The greeting from the host's table was a bit dry, and it took a while for our food to be served, but it was busy so I get it. We ordered several rolls, and some sashimi. Unfortunately the menu didn't specify that the rolls we ordered were cooked. Even though they were good, we likely wouldn't have ordered those particular rolls because cooking them tends to make them heavy and we were anticipating a lighter lunch. I'd recommend asking ahead of time if you have a preference. Also, the restrooms only occupy one person at a time, so be prepared to wait if you have to use them. Overall, we had a decent experience.

Yelp
I made a late lunch reservation with Fudo on a Saturday for four. The place was pretty lively while we were there and as we left, so I was anticipating a good meal. For appetizers, I had the edamame, which was pretty standard. For my main, I ordered the devil roll and smokey salmon roll; I also ordered various pieces of nigiri (yellowtail, scallop, salmon). Between the two rolls I ordered, while I enjoyed the variety in texture from the crispy salmon skin in the smokey salmon roll, they both tasted and were presented similarly. I thought this was because I had ordered two rolls of the same ilk. Yet, my partner and family ordered another four rolls collectively, and they were all topped with the same garnishes and sauce. While the fish was quality, I felt that the rolls were overwhelmed with toppings and sauce, lacking distinction between them. I would probably stick to just ordering nigiri if I were to go again. The waitress we had was super kind. I enjoyed the dim lit seating and decor. I will note that with my reservation, I requested booth seating. Upon arrival, I checked in and they had not sectioned out a booth for us. Though they offered to seat us in the booth after a wait, I am disappointed by the unpreparedness. I would love to have a more private spot the next time I reserve with Fudo and try their hand rolls on their menu.

Yelp
WOWWWWW! When I say I was impressed with everything about Fudo I do mean everything. It's funny because I initially was reluctant to spend our Galentines Day here and I'm glad my girls pushed for it. Service is excellent and they have the cutest shirts that they should sell!! I got the Lychee Martini and it was delicious. We tried the fantasy roll, a star is born and I got the scallop hand roll. All were spectacular and maybe top 2 sushi I've ever had. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the fried rice. All of the rolls sound delicious and are so beautifully presented. You probably can't go wrong with any of the rolls so pick the one that calls out to your taste buds.

Yelp
Fudo is a great date night spot. The restaurant is dimly lit and cozy in size. I will say if you aren't willing to wait as a walk in, that they do the typical ATL reservation: card on file and $20 a head if you cancel within a certain amount of time and your entire party must be there before you can be seated. My biggest gripe is that they do not allow any outside food or drink, even though they had sold out of their desserts and we were there to celebrate a friend's birthday. I had a cake for her and was willing to pay a cake cutting fee since they didn't have the desserts available, but they still said no. So for that, I'd say this is more of a date night place and not a place for group celebrations. The food is delicious. The fish is fresh and the rolls are packed with flavor. Everyone at the table love their food, from the Brussels sprouts and beef dumplings, to the tuna on the rocks and the star is born roll. I genuinely think you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Our drinks were quite strong, but the flavors paired nicely. First time having a dark liquor for the espresso martinis. Service was great, they are constantly refilling waters and checking to make sure we were having a good time.

Yelp
Best sushi I've tried in Georgia! The rolls were packed with flavor and the fish was very fresh. Everything we ordered was a hit, especially the brussel sprouts as an appetizer. I loved the Mission Impossible and Avengers End Game roll. A Star Is Born roll was good as well, but a bit too saucy for me. I don't think you can go wrong with ordering anything here. The presentation is amazing and so is the food. I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time but we did a walk in and waited around 20 minutes for a table. After we received our appetizers, we had to wait over 30 minutes for the rolls to come out. Other than that, the service was good and our waters were refilled often.

Yelp
I'm soooo glad I found this sushi spot. Before I get into the restaurant and food. If you are going on a weekend evening, parking is challenging. I recommend doing ride share or parking at the garages across the mini bridge within the complex. The review, I really liked the atmosphere, it didn't feel cramped even on a busy night, and still gave an intimate vibe, with plenty of seating. The sushi bar seating to me is the best spot(I may regret saying that). The menu is stacked with some very unique sushi options. I thoroughly enjoy a generous selection of sushi. I mean, if you don't have a boat you're not doing it right ‍. I had the B.T.S, Mamma Mia, Venom, Red carpet, and Smoky Delicacy. The B.T.S was a revelation Bulgogi sush w/ Fried Kimchi on top! The flavors were ridiculous this is a must for all and those not yet inducted into the sushi life. My second favorite was the Mama Mia very good and flavorful, the Shrimp, scallops and mountain of topped goodies is more than enough to fill you up. To sum it up, all of my sushi options were really good, and the service was excellent. Oh and for my drink, I had the Shang-chi comes /w a gold fleck crazy good and refreshing. P.S. I was doing the food dance the entire time, yeah... think about that.

Yelp
My friend and I ordered the following dishes: 1. Dynamite Shrimp 2. Avengers Roll 3. Over the Rainbow Roll 4. Mission Impossible Roll 5. A Star is Born Roll Everything was delicious, but the Dynamite Shrimp, Avengers Roll, and Over the Rainbow Roll were standouts. What made the experience even better was the exceptional service. The staff was attentive and professional, consistently refilling my water without interrupting the meal. Fudo combines fantastic food with thoughtful service, making for a memorable dining experience. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Fudo is hands down one of our favorite sushi spots in Georgia! Booking a reservation for 12 was a breeze through their event manager via email--it was quick, straightforward, and stress-free. There's a minimum order requirement for larger parties, but that wasn't an issue at all since we always love ordering a variety of dishes when we visit. The highlight of the menu for us is definitely the "Star is Born" roll--it's absolute perfection! We've also enjoyed all their appetizers, from the mussels and tempura to the Brussels sprouts and rice cakes. They all bring something unique to the table and never disappoint. We also love their hand rolls, which are a decent size and packed with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The service is always top-notch, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a great spot for both casual dinners and special occasions. Whether you're a sushi fanatic or just looking for a great meal, Fudo delivers every time. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I totally get the hype for this place. It is fantastic. They have a huge menu of rolls, so we decided to try a few, and I was so impressed with what we got. The bumble bee roll was perfect, the shrimp tempura inside was crispy, and the yuzu sauce on top was a great addition. I also loved the crab salad on top and loved that it wasn't cold, so it went well with the warm shrimp. We also tried one of their fried rolls and that was perfect. You can taste the quality of the fish. The hand roll was good, too, and a great option if you don't want a traditional roll. The spring rolls were good, but I wish they had a dipping sauce with them. The service was great, and our server was super helpful with answering any questions we had. It is a little dark inside, so be prepared to use your phone's flashlight if you need to. I definitely plan to go back and it is one of my new favorite places for sushi!

Yelp
This is a corner spot off of the main Street. You can't miss it! It's the start of a shopping center. It has free parking and that parking is covered and uncovered. There is a full bar there, so you can sit there if you don't want to sit at a table. They also have a bar top that is sitting at the sushi station, so you have options. They have plenty of table seating, so I don't want to make it sound like there is nothing but bar seats lol. You come in the door and there is a greeter station (of which they are very nice and swift on seating). They have a decent ambience, it's a little dim and has classical music playing on the background. You could probably see it as a potentially decent date night since that is the vibe it gives off. But it isn't super quiet so if you want silence for your date, that isn't it lol. Brussel sprouts - was pretty small as far as portion but had a great taste. It had a good sweet tang to it and came looking very appealing. Hot gossip - pretty solid sushi roll Euphoria - also a pretty good roll, they did pretty good presentation and everything! Stuffed jalapenos - came in 4 pieces, and we're fried (tempura) on top of a bed of greenery. They were stuffed and drizzled and tasted great. I am all for a good sushi spot, and I would spin the block on this spot!

Yelp
One of the staple sushi places in Atl, Chamblee to be exact. On a busy day, the parking might be a hassle. I highly recommend coming with a reservation but never waited too long if you don't have one. The service is always quick and great! The place itself stays quite packed and so it gets loud when crowded. Absolutely love the sushi and everything other thing I try here. They have the best lychee martinis and their rice cakes dish is phenomenal! This is the place you take people who are visiting. I highly recommend!!

Yelp
My friend and I met up at Fado today. we sat at the bar and John was our bartender. He was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! So very personal and entergerzic. I'm a bartender as well and being in this industry you always have to be on point! John went over what you expect! All restaurants need people like him!! Definitely coming back and PRAY he is still there! AMAZING EXPERIENCE AND SERVICE! Amanda McGinnis

Yelp
Two of our friends took me and my wife out to dinner to Fudo. I have nothing but good things to say about the place!!! The two of them had already been before, but me and my wife have never been, and we were always talking about wanting to go. We all got some drinks to start with. I got the Acapulco, which was essentially kind of like a spicy margarita? It was really good. We also got some sake for all of us to share, I just can't remember which one. We got some edamame to snack on before our main courses came. We just got a bunch of rolls to share. They have so many options for the rolls, so you're bound to find something you like. I don't even know which one was my favorite, cause they all tasted SO GOOD. Highly recommend getting a variety of the rolls to try, you won't be disappointed. They have so may options too, so you will definitely find something you like. The service was good too. Our waters constantly kept getting refilled. Empty plates were being taken when. Server kept checking on us too. As for parking, there is a parking lot (as it's in a shopping center), so there is plenty of parking. There is also a deck in case the lot overflows. I will definitely be coming back in the future.

Yelp
After coming here on multiple occasions with different people, I can honestly say that this is my favorite sushi spot in Atlanta. Not including Omakase. Pluto is one of those places that always pleasantly surprises me. The ambience is nice whether it's daytime, happy hour or late evening. Even if you don't have a reservation, you almost always can get in the door. I have yet to be turned away. The drinks at the bar are well-made, and Asian inspired, if not heavily influenced. And they have a nice selection of sake!
google avatar

Yelp
Still a favorite! I've craving Fudó and I got my fix today. The Hot Night and A Star Is Born are still at the top of my list. My friend loves the shrimp rice bowl...he's not big on sushi.

Yelp
Jay,Once again, Fudo did a great job. I must admit that the food and atmosphere are always fantastic, along with the excellent service. I truly enjoy it. My server, , is always phenomenal. I find myself planning my visits to the restaurant based on the days that she works. I tried two new dishes this time, and once again, they did not disappoint. I brought my aunt to at Fudo. Please don't change a thing! A star is born, The Mission impossible X Men w/o the crunch. Ever

Yelp
The environment is very clean, and sleek. The space is also very low lit, makes it hard to get pretty photos but that's okay. The customer service is always fantastic, and the food is consistent. Always tastes fresh. Highly recommend this place for sushi.

Yelp
First off- Ria, server, is elite! I've had few times that a front of the house staff member really take such good care of me as a customer. She was always right there with the right advice and guidance through the menu! And ask for the Ria Special Sushi! You will love the environment. Perfect for a date and located in Chamblee. Dimly lit. Swanky. The sushi is quality too! Usually I prefer my sushi from some of my Buford Highway favorite low key spots, but this is very comparable! On the same level. It's fresh. It's tasty. And presentation is on par with the overall experience! 10/10 for me. Oh and I came back again in the same week even! Hahah!

Yelp
I went here for the first time with my family, they had been raving about it for some time, and mannnn they were not wrong! The service was quick, attentive, and everyone was so friendly and accommodating. For apps we ordered the Tori Karaage, Brussel sprouts, and the spring rolls. For Drinks we ordered their Lychee Martini, **very close competition to Poor Calvin's Lychee Martini btw** For my entree I ordered the Hollywood Roll, it was delicious, made very fresh and I loved the assorted tobiko on top. I also tried my cousin's yellowtail sashimi which was quite appetizing considering I had never had sashimi before. The ambiance was very balanced in my opinion, they have a large bar, and table settings ranging from 1-4 guests to large parties. It was very spacious and not crammed at all. They also have outside seating. I will definitely be returning to try their happy hour, I heard it's a blast!

Mia C.

Yelp
Quick service and the food is good and reasonably priced. I ordered the bang bang shrimp roll, wonton soup which was soooo good & lychee martini

Yelp
Came here with a friend for lunch and had an amazing time! I used to order Tempura sushi mainly but have realized The rawness isn't bad especially with Wasabi and ginger. Staff was patient and friendly, and the restaurant is very clean and modern! I ordered the Hot Night Sushi Roll with Pan Seared Dumplings and Stuffed Jalapenos. To drink I had a Ginger Ale and also an Acapulco! The Acapulco is a tequila drink and will get you buzzed right! All items were delicious! I have a large appetite so next time I will order a 2nd roll along with the appetizers :) To my surprise the restaurant is located in a mixed use development across from Wal Mart. It's anchored by many apartments and other restaurants like Rreal Tacos, Bad Daddy's Burgers and Playa Bowls! I had no idea it was that big back there! You can Definitely spend an evening back there and have a great time! I highly recommend!

Yelp
After hearing about this restaurant countless times, I finally decided to check it out. I was pretty impressed by the different kinds of sushi roll Food offers. They have so many choices. Something for everyone. A lot of rules are cooked and have cooked options but they do have raw sushi as well. The prices are good. Everything was tasty and the ambience is moody, but casual, the service was quick and fast and it's in a really cute area. I definitely will be back to try more sushi. I'm forgetting the names of the rules that we ate because they were pretty obscure, but everything we had was delicious.

Anna Roys D.

Yelp
Great selection of rolls, fantastic bar, fun vibe, friendly people. Aside from the incredible quality of the food, bartender John was phenomenal. So authentic, informative, and funny. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I went to Atlanta to visit my friend and we were craving good sushi. I found this place on yelp and omg -- they did not disappoint! We started the night with drinks; I had the espresso martini (which was delicious) and my friend had the French 75. We were seated pretty quickly even though there was a wait and the service was incredible! 10/10 for sure. We were really well taken care of. We started with the dynamite shrimp, which was delicious. The sushi came out shortly after and it was all so perfect! The crispy rice (rock paper shrimp) was my absolute favorite. It was my friend's first time having crispy rice and she loved every bite. The whole vibe of the restaurant was on point and I'll definitely be going back when I visit again.

Yelp
Delicious food! Everything was great and the atmosphere was amazing. Wish I had sat at the bar so I could've seen the chef make the sushi. Ended up trying The Devil and Avenger

Yelp
My friends and I always are amazed at the number of creative sushi rolls offered and we haven't had one we didn't enjoy. The service is always top-notch. From the warm welcome from the hostess, to the attentive and helpful servers, we've never been disappointed. The ambiance is a cool, modern, hip feel. Upbeat music and thoughtful decor.

Yelp
Great sushi! Went on a Saturday afternoon and there was about a 35 minute wait. Lychee martini is a must any time i go for sushi and theirs is hot tier. The appetizer i chose their spring rolls that came hot and fresh drizzled with a yum t sauce and i chose a fried roll with tuna and asparagus that was also delicious.

Yelp
A friend recently told me that Fudo has amazing sushi, so of course I had to try it out! My partner and I dined here last Saturday, as soon as the doors opened. Although it was noon, we were given a dinner menu. So, I believe they only serve dinner - no matter what time - on the weekends. First off, I love the restaurant's industrial design! The decor was unique compared to what you'd normally see in a sushi restaurant in Atlanta. For food, my partner and I ordered the Rice Cake, Otoro, Devil Roll Sushi, and an Oyako-Don Donburi. Out of everything I had, the Rice Cake ($10) was my least favorite. I ordered it because my friend had raved about this grilled Korean rice cake with gochujang aioli and cheese. I personally thought the appetizer had way too much cheese, but I'm sure cheese lovers will enjoy it. The Otoro (2 pieces for $22) had an amazing umami flavor and it just melted in my mouth. The Devil Roll Sushi ($15) was equally great! It came with eight sushi pieces, with four pieces topped with salmon, two with yellowtail, and two with avocado. Each sushi had a slice of Serrano peppers, and sriracha. Lastly, the Oyako-Don ($18) consisted of white meat chicken with teriyaki sauce, bok choy, and lotus chips. The flavors were great, and the chicken and bok choy were cooked perfectly. However, the bowl's rice-to-ingredients ratio was off; there was too much rice. Overall, we loved our experience here. The sushi was fresh and delicious! We were also impressed with the service. Throughout the entire time, from ordering to eating and then checking out, staff was attentive and kind. This was the first time I experienced staff filling my glass with water continuously, without me having to ask. You guys have no idea how much I appreciated this!

Yelp
Sat at the bar on a Friday night, and it was a delightful experience. Tried the edamame, shumai, seared dumplings, the X-men roll and spicy sashimi salad. Plus, the delicious smoked old-fashioned. All of the appetizers were warm, quick, and savory. The sushi was so fresh-- this is one of my favorite sushi places!

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing. Atmosphere incredible, classy and low key. Everything that was ordered was incredible. The drinks amazing. Old fashion nicely dressed,Acapulco beautiful even tho I ate the pepper that was garnished inside it burned my mouth to holy hell!!! But it was a great tequila drink to try. I got the avengers roll, A star is born roll, and the spicy mega tuna roll.

Yelp
I had a craving for some sushi and this place had really high reviews. I am glad that I came. This venue is in an area that shares a private parking lot and has a parking garage. The lot is usually full but the parking garage has plenty of open spots. I came in and sat at the sushi bar. I like that they provide metal chopsticks and forks. I eat with chopsticks but I know some people struggle with them. I ordered the Hot Gossip roll and Hand roll #6. I actually prefer the Hand Rolls. They are like mini burritos. Both rolls tasted great.

Yelp
Great vibes, decent sushi. If you are a sushi buff, it's a 4/5 for me in terms of quality but great menu selection and you can find something for everyone here.

Yelp
I am a Fudo Girlie! Love sushi, especially the Rock, Paper, Shrimp and the Eel Dancing Roll with miso soup on the side of course. This is another one of my lunch spots for convenience and fast service.

Yelp
Delicious food! We had edamame and dynamite shrimp for appetizers, then we got the King Kong, Pokémon, Hot Gossip, and Red Carpet rolls. Everything tasted delicious and fresh.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday evening with a group of girlfriends, and we all loved this place! Since we had a group of 7, we made a reservation, but I suggest making reservations regardless of the party size because this place was packed! There was definitely a wait line. The ambiance in here was dim-lit, a little upscale. A great date night spot. The service was also amazing. The menu is pretty overwhelming for someone as indecisive as I am, but the server did an excellent job at providing a few recommendations all around. Great quality sushi. A Star is Born roll was a table favorite. I also got the Mama Mia roll, which has some rolls hidden under a large mass of creamy seafood. I'd say it was worth the price. & you cant go wrong with any of their cocktails. you MUST get the butterscotch dessert. You will thank me for this. I would come here just for that.

Yelp
I love Fúdo. I've recommended it to everyone I know and I'll drive 30 minutes every time because it's that good! I ordered the brussel sprouts (10/10) and the rice cakes as appetizers, and for the entree I got the Star is born, Devil roll, X-men and a hand roll. The star is born roll has got to be my all time favorite I could order 10 of them. I also got a lemon drop which was delish! The atmosphere is always nice and clean, and our server was quick and knowledgeable.

Yelp
Thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. Visited on a Sunday. We made reservations at the Sushi Bar for seating. My husband ordered the "Tori Karaage" (Japanese fried chicken) appetizer and "Lord Of The Rings" roll which consisted of a topping of Wagyu which was really tasty. I had the "Diver Roll". Service was great and quick. I only wish they had a larger selection of sweet cocktails, but overall. We enjoyed the food and ambiance.

Yelp
If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing sushi dinner, Fudo Sushi in Atlanta isn't it--because this place is **buzzing** like a beehive on espresso! But don't let the packed house fool you; the service is smoother than a freshly rolled piece of tuna. Our server, Winny, must have been an elephant in a past life--no, really. She didn't just take our complicated order, she absorbed it, like she was downloading it straight into her brain. No pen, no paper, just pure telepathy and a smile. When the food arrived, not a single roll was out of place, and trust me, we ordered more rolls than a bakery at dawn. Speaking of service, I'm convinced there's a secret ninja squad behind the scenes whose sole mission is to refill your water. I swear I took a sip and--bam--my glass was full again. It's like they have water-sensing radar! The sushi? Quite good! The fish was fresh enough to make you question whether Fudo has an ocean in the back. And the roll options? Extensive doesn't even cover it. There are more rolls on this menu than there are episodes of your favorite TV show. So, if you're in the mood for high-energy dining, a memory-blessed server, and sushi that's fresher than a minty breeze, Fudo is your spot. Just be prepared for a wild ride--you might even break a sweat keeping up!

Yelp
My new favorite sushi restaurant in Atlanta! The sushi is so fresh and every roll I've had has been delicious - and I've tried many. My favorite is A Star is Born. The place is usually very packed so I recommend making reservations (I've heard almost 2 weeks ahead of time) or be prepared to wait about 30-45 min during peak days/hours.

Yelp
Finally had a chance to check out Fudo and overall enjoyed myself and the food! Reservations: Highly recommend making a reservation online through Yelp. It was super easy to make and they send reminders. Be sure not to be more than 10 minutes late for the time or your reservation may be cancelled. Parking: There is 2-3 hour free parking in the lot. Although the area tends to be quite busy, there are a lot of options for parking. Food: For apps, we ordered the Brussel sprouts and cauliflower. Both were delicious, but note the cauliflower does have a bit of a kick to it. For my entree, I was torn between the Mission Impossible and the B.L.T. roll, which was a bulgogi meat roll. I ended up ordering the Mission Impossible roll and it was so good! I would definitely get that again. I can't remember exactly what my friend ordered, but she was also happy with her dishes. Drinks: I only drank water, but my friend ordered the lychee martini and enjoyed her drink. She said it was quite tasty. Vibe: Overall, the vibe was good! The staff was kind, attentive, and helpful. My water glass never got empty and passing staff was always topping it off. Our waitress provided recommendations, which I went with and was so happy I did. It was a bit too dark for my liking; it was hard to read the extensive menu. It was also a bit loud for my taste as well. The high top tables were quite small, with nowhere to put any items like your bag. So recommend bringing a crossbody bag to just keep on your person the entire time. If more than a party of two, you might get seated at the booth / low top tables, which obviously have more space. All in all, I would go back if I was craving sushi!

Yelp
This was an amazing experience from top to bottom. I am a certified sushi lover and have been disappointed with some of the places I have tried in ATL. to start, the staff was super understanding when I was 15 mins late, and they made sure to let us know that last call was at 8:45 because they were close early on Sundays. The food was also exquisite. There are so many rolls to choose from that my date and I were spoiled for choice, but we ended up going with Hot Night, King Kong, and the Eel traditional roll. All the sushi was great, but Hot night was my favorite. We also ordered drinks. I got the kiss and tell because it had mezcal in it and my date ordered an old fashioned. The vibes were great as well. There was low lighting and a quiet hum of conversations, but nothing too loud to where you can't hear the people you are with. Overall, this was a 10/10 experience and I was to go back to try more rolls!

Yelp
I've heard sooo so much about this place and it was a pretty good spot, but honestly not the BEST sushi in Atlanta. I got a Friday dinner reservation with my friend and were seated immediately. It was quite busy, so I would absolutely recommend getting a reservation! We started off with some edamame, and then for my meal I got the Double Dragon and Spicy Crunchy Shrimp rolls - they were good! No complaints, but I do think that this is a very Americanized-sushi place, if that makes sense. Not bad at all and the prices are good, but I would probably go somewhere else next time! Also - free parking in the large garage! I loved that factor, since parking around Atlanta is the worst.

Yelp
Reservations are a must since they utilize every seat they can. By the time we walked out on a Friday afternoon, all tables and spots at the bar were filled. I shared a miso and dumpling soup. Both were small portions but I certainly enjoyed the pork dumpling more. For specialty makis, we shared My Idol, fried soft shell crab and mama Mia which also follows the order of least favorite to most. The My Idol was a little too simple while the soft shell one was more well-rounded. Mama mia was the best with tempura fried pieces of shrimp, muscles, scallops, and more served over 8 pieces of sushi. Overall, I had a good experience. Food was good and service was phenomenal. My glass of water never went below being half way full. Looking forward to coming again to trying more of their menu in their sophisticated and mature establishment.

Yelp
Love the service and love the food here! Never thought I would like this place this much but it became my goto! The rolls are good but my favorite here is the hand-rolls and their drinks! Their hot food is also great as well! The rolls are good but definitely do not know which are the best yet since they have so many rolls to choose from!! The ambiance is very date night vibes, very dark in there. Also every-time i went theres always a wait! So make a reservation before hand!

Yelp
We got the shrimp appetizer, x men roll and a star is born roll. There were so many rolls on the menu that we were overwhelmed so we chose the popular ones. I enjoyed both rolls but would say I preferred the a star is born roll. The shrimp was pretty good as well and the sauce that came with it was salty and sour at the same time. I really liked it. I thought the service could've been improved since our server didn't really come back but instead we had a different person coming to refill waters. I also thought the tables were way too close together and it was hard to enjoy a conversation even with someone sitting across from you. Thought the ambiance and experience of that aspect definitely could be improved. It's in the Chamblee area but they seem to try to be more upscale in this area especially with the valet parking as well. It's crazy to valet to park when I literally come to this plaza for the orthodontist lolz. Other than that the extensive menu might intrigue people to come back.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the sushi and food quality here. We didn't wait very long to get our orders even though it was packed inside the restaurant. We got bar seating right away which was nice. There are lots of sushi variations and some fun names to that go along with it. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Great shrimp,I like crispness and freshness of the food . Also I tried avokado and tuna sashimi was pretty tasty. Crème brûlée was very good
