We went to Fuego on their opening night. The atmosphere was energetic and exciting. The service was wonderful. The ribeye was fantastic. It came on a sizzling hot stone, cooked to perfection. We also had a chicken fajita plate, which left much to be desired. It was lacking in flavor and could have benefitted from any amount seasoning, or salsa at least, especially considering the price. In addition, leaving the chicken on the hot stone caused it to dry out really quickly, leaving plain dry grilled chicken for the dish. Overall, the dinner was okay, but we’re excited to see how the restaurant develops with time!

We were a large group celebrating a birthday, at least 20 people. We made a reservation in advance, and when we arrived, we started ordering drinks and appetizers. The first issue was with an Old Fashioned that tasted salty—literally, it had salt. Several of us tasted it to be sure it wasn’t just one person’s opinion, but it was clear they had mistakenly added salt instead of sugar. The waitress kindly replaced it, but the second time it arrived, the glass had less than half of the original drink. We had to ask for it to be corrected again, but by that point, the situation had become ridiculous. Each dish came out with a long delay, so we couldn’t eat together. When one person’s food arrived, someone else had already finished eating. Some dishes were presented in a confusing manner. For example, a shrimp dish with rice and asparagus was served in three separate plates—shrimp on one, rice on another, and four asparagus on a long plate. It was very awkward to eat with everything in different dishes, and the shrimp were dry. The Ribeye was served on a hot stone. We requested it medium, but were told that wasn’t an option. It arrived on the hot stone and, as expected, ended up overcooked and dry since it kept cooking on the plate. The dish was supposed to come with mashed potatoes, but they weren’t served until we asked for them, and again, they were presented in separate plates. Later, when it was time for the dancing portion of the evening, we were moved to an upper area. We started dancing, and although we were almost the only ones there, the DJ was excellent, and the music was phenomenal. However, we had left our belongings in the VIP section assigned to us, and after a while, they told us we needed to remove our things because we hadn’t ordered any bottles, despite the fact that we were still ordering drinks and were nearly the only customers there. Sadly, the whole group was left with a bad impression of the place. After poorly prepared food that almost no one ate, and constant mistakes from the bar, we really weren’t eager to return. I understand they recently opened and may still be figuring things out, but the quality of the food was very disappointing. At least the venue itself is beautiful.

The food and the location is awesome! And it turns into a very fun bar after 10! We went there for my husband’s birthday and had a blast. Came back again for great food and not very pricey. definitely will come again

Disappointed with the food and service! I ordered a ceviche and it was the worst I've ever had, I couldn't eat it and they still charged me for it! I won't be back.

Such a fun and cute atmosphere, the staff is so accommodating, welcoming, friendly and happy! The Ballard Sky cocktail is to die for, I’m not a big whisky girl but I could live off this drink. Yummy tapas and all around such a great vibe with the decor, plant wall and cleanliness. Can’t wait to come back weekly!

Fuego needs to work on the wine menu. I like white with Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris being my preference. They did not have the Sauvignon Blanc on the menu and all of us ordered the Pinot Gris and returned it because none of us liked it. I then ordered Rosé and didn't return it but didn't particularly like it either. We ordered the three appetizers on the menu and they were okay but not great. If I do decide to go back again, I'll order something off the regular-plate dinner menu. The guacamole was good, although I did not appreciate the chips being red and green. I guess that was for the holidays but I kept wondering about the dye that I was eating.

Yelp
6:30pm on a Thursday night, we were the only two people there. Staff was polite and attentive, and the restaurant was clean. Unfortunately, we both had to change our original orders due to the kitchen not having all ingredients on hand. I settled for steak fajitas. When it was delivered it wasn't sizzling like fajitas are usually served for general effect. Disappointing, but tasted fine. Our cocktails were good. After an hour another couple walked in. We asked for our check and were complimented a glass of champagne for our troubles. I'll probably go back and see if things go smoother for their brunch menu.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Thursday for lunch. The lunchtime enchiladas with chicken tinga were delicious and was also a generous portion. service was excellent (but I was almost only customer). The ambiance was very festive, with an authentic a soundtrack!

Yelp
Beautiful hip MX style restaurant and nice friendly bar, cool outside canopy and gas fired tables. Ballard has needed a relaxing place like this, top food and very competent gorgeous drinks. Mezcal Margaritas!

Yelp
This review is for the happy hour margaritas at $5 each...amazing and deserves 5 stars! But we can't speak for the food. Our server was great but underwater as he had to run the entire place on his own. We will for sure be back for happy hour drinks!

Yelp
Love the ambiance and food of this place. They need help serving for folks who were there were understaffed. If they can get a handle on this, it's a winner and definitely worth going back to.
