Cafe Campagne Celebrates 30-Year Anniversary in Pike Place Market | Eater Seattle

"Opened in a former firehouse in Ballard, this restaurant and lounge will offer a menu that includes Dominican, Puerto Rican, and contemporary Central American dishes as well as a fusion of tropical and Caribbean flavors combined with Mexican cuisine, according to chef Rodrigo Rodriguez; owners Jose and Sonia Paulino also run Fuego Nightclub in Tacoma and Las Palmas Restaurant near SeaTac airport." - Courtney E. Fuego Restaurant & Lounge - Review - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Taking over an old firehouse in the heart of Ballard is this restaurant and lounge that specializes in Caribbean and Latin American food. There's weekend brunch with lots of mimosa, chilaquiles, and mangu, while the weekday dinner menu has dishes like burgers and fajitas. But the real party may happen on Friday and Saturday nights when the place is open until 2am. It's owned by the same folks who own Fuego Nightclub in Tacoma. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Two of the biggest enigmas this year is HOW we got a table at this restaurant tonight and WHY we haven't eaten here till now! We have been to this location three times before, and each time it was a different restaurant and not very impressive. Now Fuego seems to be making all the difference. Chips and guac salsa are all house made on the spot. Their pupusas are otherworldly (Plato Tipico is a fantastic package deal! SO, SO, SO yummy. Everything on the plate!), the Happy Hour margarita is the real thing. The service is genuine and friendly, too - they forgot to ask about our drinks at 5:50, and we asked if we could have margaritas at the Happy Hour price, and the happy chum made it happen! What we like the most about the food here is that it is not Americanized to be excessively sweet or salty, and the prices are quite reasonable. I would say on the lower end for the quality.. We're definitely coming back with a bigger crew to have a dance party here. My highest recommendation.

Came here for a birthday dinner and it was perfect. Good food! Great prices for cocktails and the server was so friendly. He went out of his way to celebrate us and we will definitely be back! Also amazing happy hour drinks

My husband and I came here during our date night. We thought there was Latin night on Saturday but unfortunately they weren’t doing it that night. BUT… the food was DELICIOUS! We stayed and ate their platter dish with everything on it and it didn’t disappoint us. The hostess was super friendly and always checking how we doing. We also ordered some margaritas and that was tasty and HUGE glass. In the end, we enjoyed our date night and it was fun knowing that this restaurant is a Salvadoran food.

This place is AMAZING! The people who work here are so sweet and amazing. I just wanted a little snack on a Friday after a long week. I had the Pupusa with Frijoles. It's a classic. I had to order a second round it was so good. The Pupusa was soft and comforting with an amazing flavor. I also tried a beautiful cocktail called Cantarito! It was exceptional and I am going to be craving this for a long time!! It has flavors of tangy Tamarind and a cute lollipop as a garnish. Absolutely divine! The rest of the menu looks amazing and I cannot wait to try more. The happy hour also looks FIRE! Rockstar service. Awesome people. 10 out of 10!!

Google
Expensive place for mediocre food. There are much better places to get nachos, steak or enchiladas. I thought the food was okay but for the cost of the meal it didn’t match up to what I would expect. I wish I had a picture of the nachos, because it was very disappointing. $15 for chips, the nacho sauce, sour cream and guac and a sprinkle of real cheese on top (but not melted). Steak was fine, but nothing great. Fries might as well have been frozen and dumped in a fryer. Steak - $37 Enchiladas - $20 Nachos (not pictured) - $15 Total w/ tip - ~$90 Staff are friendly and the place is nice, but food quality either needs to go up or the price needs to come down.

Google
Great addition to Ballard, get here immediately. Good music, good vibes, excellent food. We had the avocado toast which was perfection and huge for $16, and the chicken tinga taquitos which were delicioso. Service was great, we will definitely be back. This spot is one-of-a-kind in the neighborhood and should be busy at all times.

Google
Food was very delicious, the server didn't bring me my drink. The atmosphere is very comfortable but the bench seats have some pretty uncomfortable spots.

Was walking by and saw this new place. Never tried Salvadorian food before and with the excellent recommendations from Omar, got this big sampler. It was amazing. Will come back again

Yelp
6:30pm on a Thursday night, we were the only two people there. Staff was polite and attentive, and the restaurant was clean. Unfortunately, we both had to change our original orders due to the kitchen not having all ingredients on hand. I settled for steak fajitas. When it was delivered it wasn't sizzling like fajitas are usually served for general effect. Disappointing, but tasted fine. Our cocktails were good. After an hour another couple walked in. We asked for our check and were complimented a glass of champagne for our troubles. I'll probably go back and see if things go smoother for their brunch menu.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Thursday for lunch. The lunchtime enchiladas with chicken tinga were delicious and was also a generous portion. service was excellent (but I was almost only customer). The ambiance was very festive, with an authentic a soundtrack!

Yelp
Beautiful hip MX style restaurant and nice friendly bar, cool outside canopy and gas fired tables. Ballard has needed a relaxing place like this, top food and very competent gorgeous drinks. Mezcal Margaritas!

Yelp
This review is for the happy hour margaritas at $5 each...amazing and deserves 5 stars! But we can't speak for the food. Our server was great but underwater as he had to run the entire place on his own. We will for sure be back for happy hour drinks!

Yelp
Love the ambiance and food of this place. They need help serving for folks who were there were understaffed. If they can get a handle on this, it's a winner and definitely worth going back to.
