15 Essential Korean Barbecue Restaurants in Orange County

"If you’re a fan of variety, then Grams BBQ has got your back. Not only do they serve a plethora of cuts for its all-you-can-eat fare, Grams also offers unique meat options that can’t typically be found in Korean barbecue restaurants, such as Brazilian picanha-style top sirloin cap, marinated beef heart, and pork skin. Patrons frequently rave about its signature woo-de galbi — marinated Angus beef short rib off a large bone — as well as the wagyu cuts. Grams also aims to amplify trends in Korea by serving brands of drinks that are currently popular with younger crowds in Seoul, like Seoul Night soju and Won Mae plum wine. Though the wait here can get long, its hours may warrant a late-night visit." - Cathy Park

Saw the pictures at this restaurant and it looked promising, so we went and tried it. No seafood is offered at this place. The meat is supposed to be premium quality for them to charge $38.99 per person. We ordered our normal cuts of meat, beef brisket, short ribs, ribeyes, large intestine and pork jowl, egg pudding along with king oyster mushrooms and yellow onions. The beef brisket is semi good not as tasty compared to other restaurants. Was expecting the hot fluffy steamed eggs and they only have the egg pudding. The side dishes were quite basic and nothing to rant about. They don't even have shredded spring onions. The attention from the servers are excellent even though they kept Turning/lowering our burner. The nice thing at this place you can order half order of everything so you don't waist food. We wanted to try some other cuts but didn't want too much, we asked if they can just give us two slices each and they did it. The places it not too smoky and you don't come out of the restaurant rigged with Korean BBQ.

for the prices they charge, the money is going to profits and the quality of the meat but certainly not to enhance the environment/atmosphere. we've gone 3 times now and even when it's slower, they're always under staffed. every server looks rushed and over worked just to get the meat out, so you almost feel bad asking for something if they do come to the table. we always have to call a server over to get something. the poor host can't even focus on being a host because they have to help serve when it's busy, even though that's where they should be. meat is fantastic though. we know the servers are doing their best and they're amazing.

Ate at Grams for the first time. My friend chose this place to dine at. I’m usually a creature of habit and stick to my go to favorite KBBQ joints: Zip in Tustin, or Shik Do Rak. I was pleased with the dining experience here. Food quality and choices of meat options were great based on the menu set options. We went with the Premium AYCE B menu. It was good. My favorites were the sliced beef belly, sliced brisket, and sliced beef tongue. Servers were nice and attentive. Will be returning to Grams in the future.

We very much liked this all you can eat Korean BBQ establishment. Good service from the moment we walked in. Grill placement on the table was optimal. Grill change without having to ask for one was something that isn't done often at other bbq places so points for that. Food items fresh. Plenty of tables & seats. I'm not sure how the parking can be as we went on a Monday evening right when they opened up and parking was abundant.

It's not an authentic Korean BBQ. Meat choices are vast - I was intrigued by pig ear, pig tongue and beef heart. These are not usual items at any Korean BBq spots in the US or in Korea, so I was curious but totally disappointed. I would not recommend these at all. All had marinade that wasn't authentic korean. Their duenjang jjigae was nowhere near being authentic, as was their cold noodle! It's rare to go to a kBbq that only offers one type of Soju, and a buch of different saki instead.. I've been here some years back and had a pretty good memory, but maybe there's been a management change? If you want to experience an authentic Korean BBq experience, this is not it.

The meat here is very decent for the price. So I think this restaurant is a good value. The only downside is you never want to order anything you cannot finish or they will charge you extra for each plate. Even if it is just one plate so be mindful. I recommend the beef short ribs (pictured). Best quality on the menu. Make a reservation if you can because this place is popular.

Great meat quality. Came around 3pm on Saturday and didn’t need to wait at all. Their corn cheese was the besttt!! We chose combo B for 3 people, which was enough to keep us full. Friendly servers, they changed the grill for you after 1-2 times.
