The Best Ironbound Restaurants in Newark, New Jersey | Bon Appétit

"This little joint offers, in my opinion, the best burger, period. The Brazilian luncheonette has a sprawling menu, but the supercharged hamburger is the standout." - ByEsra Erol

New York Area’s 15 Top Brazilian Restaurants - Eater NY

"The Brazilian hamburger is a treat. Hamburgão — a bilevel spot in Ironbound off the beaten track with waiter service and a logo featuring a growling mongrel dog with a hamburger hoisted aloft on a plate — specializes in them. Toppings can be corn, potato sticks, fried eggs, and ham, and grilled chicken or beefsteak may be substituted for a hamburger patty. But the menu delivers further delights, including meal-size salads, healthy sandwiches, fresh squeezed juices, and snacks that include salt cod empanadas, pão de queijo (shown), and kibbeh (shown) — submarine-shaped fritters stuffed with ground beef that originated in the Middle East." - Robert Sietsema, Carla Vianna

Google
I came to this location after visiting the Kearny location and the quality is absolutely night and day different. In Kearny you receive a fresh ground smash burger that is very greasy, with warmed ingredients/bun. In Ironbound Newark you're served a frozen patty that is not only lacking in quality to the Kearny patty, but invariably is less than half of the size and I mean it. The ingredients on the burger taste cold and stale. The vibe with the staff giggling and laughing dicking around was a bit off for sure too, but my server was awesome and kind. I had an egg burger with no lettuce ($11) a cappucino $4 and a buttered roll $2 and I walked 3 miles to try their food hoping for a nice bombass burger with fries like I had had at Kearny. Honestly shocked the reviews at Newark show a .3 increase over Kearny Hamburgao and the fact they're the same restaurant chain baffles me the same. The $2 buttered roll was really delicious and fresh. I ate 1/3 of my burger and left the rest with a short note on my receipt for the staff. I'll gladly change my review to reflect their quality again if their food improves.

Google
Today was my first time ever coming here and I will definitely be coming back! The Hamburgao with picanha was amazing, definitely a little messy, but totally worth it! The inside was really clean and the ladies were very friendly. Definitely don’t let the location stop you from checking it out, best $12 burger you’ll ever spend!

Google
The meat is done right. Happy mouth.

Google
The kids meal was the cutest thing it came with a complimentary gummy candy for my toddler! The prices were reasonable and has a Brazilian taste you can only get at Hamburgao on Lafayette in the Ironbound! The staff is welcoming! And you can tell everyone was enjoying their meal! I can’t wait to go back this summer 2025! There is an ice cream shop steps always and close walking distance from ferry st and independence park

Google
I had a sandwich which was similar to a cheese tudo, a popular burger in Brazil with egg, ham, cheese, bacon, shoestring potatoes and a few other ingredients but the one I had was with a steak instead of a burger and it was pretty tasty and the size was decent. For desert I had a carrot cake in a cup with melted brigadeiro which is a type of Brazilian chocolate and it was also good. I ordered over the phone and picked up my order 15 mins later. The sandwich was $12 and it included a soda can. It was Friday’s special. Each day of the week there’s a different special (see photo of the menu). The cake was around $3.50. The restaurant has many tables if you want to dine in but it’s in a busy area near Ferry st so good luck finding parking!

Google
Hamburgao is the spot for a cost-effective, filling and delicious sandwich! I get the Hamburgao Frango (Chicken Sandwich) with all the fixins! (Don't forget the pink sauce) It's a sandwich the size of your face for just over 10$, the ingredients are fresh, and it is frequented by all the locals. If you have Brasilian or Portuguese friends, they no doubt have great things to say as well about this spot!

Lucky Luzuriaga

Google
Food is just ok but they overcharge for everything! Charging $4 for an extra mayo packet is just wrong when the burgers are already priced at $18. There are better places to eat.

Google
We tried it for the first time, we ordered the Beef Hamburger, comes with grilled steak, tomate, mozzarella cheese, roman lettuce, some kind of bread which is really good, everything tasted healthy. They have pink sauce for your desire. I liked a lot.

Yelp
I'm updating my review to remove 1 star because today I ordered empadão de frango (chicken pie) and all 3 slices came completely destroyed. This is ridiculous and they shouldn't serve this to their worst enemy. This is a nice place, friendly staff, tasty burgers but I will think twice before ordering more empadão.

Yelp
Amazing Brazilian fast food. 1) I really enjoyed the coxinha, which is basically chicken filled balls. 2) Also got the chicken skewers with ham mixed with it. It was very good. 3) I got #3 burger called Hamburgao picanha. It was very good. Basically, a Brazilian style burger. 4) Must try if you are around the area.

Yelp
An okay meal in a convenient location. The place gets points for atmosphere, but the taste didn't really meet expectations. Staff was polite.

Rachel R.

Yelp
Great experience. Awesome food, really authentic, and great service too. Calm and friendly environment.

Yelp
The bacon cheeseburger is delicious--add the pink sauce to it for extra deliciousness! The chicken nugget kids meal is literally like McDonald's nuggets, it's also a generous portion. The service is good, more laid back than typical North Jersey restaurants in the sense that they're not rushing you out. Great for lunch!

Yelp
X tudo is good but when it's busy they take forever and it doesent teast right now my French fries where cold and old and I told him to make me a new batch and they refried them absolutely disgusting

Yelp
My to go on burgers! Delicious, cheap and big burger. I drive 45 minutes for this burgers. You won't get disappointed. The restaurant in Newark it's a bit small and nothing fancy, the also have another location in Kearny. Make sure to ask for the orange sauce! which it's ketchup and mayo together. Las mejores hamburguesas! Hamburguesa deliciosa, barata y grande. Manejo 45 minutos por estas hamburguesas. No te decepcionarás.

Yelp
Arrived late into the New Jersey and this was one of the only quick casual places open around 11:45pm; they were only taking orders to go since they close at midnight. I ordered their popular Hamburgao Beef and it was a burger that came with: breaded beef, ham, bacon, egg, corn, mozzarella, potato sticks and mayo, lettuce and tomato. On an ordinary day, this sandwich would sound like a train wreck but tonight it was anything goes and I was pleasantly surprised. The flavors all came together and turned out to be tasty. My only complaint is that the breaded beef was too thin, hard and dry and caused my chewing to be a little tough especially when I bit into it and pulled away; I think it would have been better with a burger patty instead but that's my opinion. Maybe if we ate there it would have been different, not sure but at 11:45 the staff was cleaning up already. I'd go again and try something else but there's so much good food around there and so little time to eat...

Yelp
We checked the time on yelp says close at 12am got there at 11pm and they refused to serve us. The server told us at the door that they close at 11:30 so even though we were there 30 min before closing. Change your time or DO NOT turn away customers. BAD BUSINESS.

Yelp
Their appetizers tasted doughy and cold to me. The sandwiches are huge but so messy they fall apart. The staff was friendly.

Yelp
Is a hamburger technically a sandwich? Let's not get into that debate. But once you learn what some of these Brazilian-style burgers are made of, you may tend to disagree whether it even counts as a burger. Brazilian cuisine is all about creativity, which means incredible inventiveness when it comes to their lunch game. Pairing different ingredients together, creating new textures and flavors are very common to see in many Brazilian dishes. When it comes to their burgers, for example, look to the "X-Tudo" (Cheese everything) or the "Bicho Guloso" (Greedy bug). These are behemoths, unholy messes of a sandwich coming with absolutely everything you can imagine, such as: a hamburger patty, a slice of sirloin steak, a chicken breast, ham, mozzarella, bacon, corn, potato sticks, egg, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. The Ironbound in Newark is known as the epicenter of Brazilian and Portuguese food in NJ, so there are plenty of luncheonettes to complete your burger fantasies and Hamburgao is an excellent option. In addition to their absurd burgers and sandwiches, they also serve up a ton of salgados (Brazilian salty snacks), which are a variety of stuffed croquettes and pastels from the coxinha to the kibbeh and more.

Yelp
First visit impressions, food was great! I had the Cheese- Tudo, and I know why the reviews here are so high. This flavorful Brazilian hamburgao sandwich has the usual compliments of stacks of ingredients, but here for the first time I can identity each by taste and texture. The hamburger patty is flavorful and thick, draped in ham, mozzerella cheese, topped with a delicate yet firm egg and the most crispy, delicious bacon, fresh juicy tomato, a crisp huge romaine leaf, and the ubiquitous potato sticks and corn, all held together on a large, fresh Portuguese roll which I topped off with the house secret sauce. I just finished my last bite, and I admit, I am a fan of this little place, cute interior, quiet street for Newark, lots of windoes, friendly staff, a true winner! for the best Hamburgao I've ever had.

Yelp
I swung by this hamburger place in the heart of the Ironbound district of Newark after a few years of not being able to visit. The restaurant was just as small and cozy as I remember and the service and staff were just as nice. The burgers were just as amazing as I remembered them from when I would go after the New York Red Bulls games would let out. I would highly recommend any (and all) of the burgers. I got the #7, the cheeseburger and was whole-heatedly satisfied. The beef steak is perfectly cooked and the additions of corn and fried potato sticks elevate these burgers to some of the best I have ever eaten. Would highly recommend if looking for a wonderful bite to eat in the busy Ironbound district!
google avatar

Luigi C.

Yelp
Really great, the steak burger was HUGE! I requested everything on it and that is what i received even with the small little potato chips fries! Great place and will come back! SUGGEST: Steak Burger
google avatar

Yelp
Came here on recommendation of a Brazilian friend for the coxinha and was not disappointed. Tried the chicken coxinha, shrimp and beef risoles and a hot dog coxinha. The chicken was our favorite and were very fresh. The shrimp risoles had salad shrimp in them tasted a bit pasty and we would not get them again. The beef risoles has a very mild flavor. The snacks were all under $3 each and the lady taking my order up front was very helpful. Defiantly recommend if you are in the area and looking for a quick bite.

Yelp
Hamburgao is and always has been my favorite Brazilian restaurant. I've gone too many places that were fancier, more upscale, more expensive; and none of them ever scratch that itch quite the same way that hamburgao does. It's a little whole in the wall burger joint in an area I would have never even discovered if not for hamburgao, and it's so worth going to. Every time into Newark this is always my first stop. Coxinha (fried balls stuffed with chicken and magic) is one of the most amazing foods out there, and Hamburgao does it the best! The cheese tudo is another favorite. A cheeseburger with bacon, egg, ham, and potato sticks; how can you go wrong?! Add a smoothie to that.. acai or whatever else you like, mixed with condensed milk is truly amazing. If you like burgers and acai there's really no better spot this side of Brazil
google avatar

Hociel G.

Yelp
Guess she didn't learn basic manners. I'm very disappointed, the staff doesn't care about the customers. I expected some type of decency but I was wrong. I waited 10 minutes until I had to ask CAN YOU TAKE OUR ORDERS. And then she wants to be rude and give me my food with a mad face lol.
google avatar

Jenny C.

Yelp
Ordered from here because we had been craving these sandwiches as we had not had them in awhile. What a mistake. Chicken from the chicken tudo was old and dry. The meat from the x-tudo was similar to a piece of leather. Called to complain and ask for our money back and they wanted the sandwiches back or an exchange. I did not want to risk getting another bad meal. I had already thrown the food away as I did not think they would want food back that had been picked though. I will never order from here again.
google avatar

Albert W.

Yelp
This is the go-to place for a monstrous sandwich each with: Bread, Mozzarella, Ham, Bacon, Eggs, Corn, Potato Sticks, Lettuce, Tomatoes, and Mayo - then you have a choice of the Beef or Chicken as the "main" ingredient. $6! Their healthy sandwiches like Tuna and Carrot are only $3, but they are quite dainty.
google avatar

Nijole T.

Yelp
Loved this place! Not really sure what we were ordering or eating, but it was fabulous! And cheap! We got a ham and cheese hot pocket typ thing which was $1.50 and better than any hot pocket you'll ever eat. Also had some french toast tasty at $1.50 I had a huge tuna sanwich on a crusty, crunchy portuguese roll for $5. The man had a steak burger which potato, egg, hm, bacon, there was so much piled on there, also $5 what a cheap, fresh and filling lunch. Completly satisfied in every way, service is also great!
google avatar

Yelp
5 stars, easiest decision in my life. This place is quite amazing. First off, it's delicious, that's the most important. Secondly, it's cheap. You can get a loaded burger or chicken sandwich for less than $7. Third, it's HUGE. The sandwiches come with corn, potato sticks, fried egg, mayo, and everything else. Some of them come with bacon or a slice of ham. It may sound weird and it may even sound like this combination shouldn't work, but it does! If I didn't care for my health, I'd eat it every day. You can always get a side of fries, dessert, etc. but you won't need it. Sometimes I can finish the full sandwich but usually I can't finish the sandwich and a side, it's too much food. The decor inside isn't impressive and it's not meant to be. There are a few tables for dining in but this is mainly a take away kinda place. Grab you food, pay your money and get the heck out.

Yelp
Found this place on yelp and what a great find. Walked about a mile from my hotel and it will be a needed walk back. Huge burgers! Very tasty. Menu is in English and Spanish or Portuguese. I will say that the people working didn't have much patience for my lack of knowing the menu... I certainly can't be the only one. The place was very clean.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here on Tuesday around 6:30pm. I got the Hamburger and it was good but a little dry. The sauce that comes on the side was yummy. The little potatoes chips added a lovely crunch. Final Verdict: Would return on a cheat day.

Yelp
I was excited to see this place on Burgerland...on The Travel Channel..because i don't eat burgers..but seafood ---yes i do! Came here around 8 PM and there were about 10 people in there. its a small place, nothing fancy at all..usually i bring a bottle of vodka or two..but hey it was Tuesday night..gotta be up early..but i deff. have room for some food. The Sandwich de Tilapia was great! it was 4.50, and was a great--big piece of fried Tilapia....perfectly fried and declicious...It was on a big roll with some lettuce and onions and cant remember what else. I drowned my sandwich in the orange/pink sauce that was on the table...it was like a weird mayo... Deff get the Risolis De Camarao---basically shrimp and cheese in fried goodness. It was so good, but sadly there was only one left. Deff gotta get my ass down here earlier to get about 5. Desserts-- Brigadeiro--a choc mouse type ball covered in sprinkles..it was good and sweet but really really rich. i could only really eat half of it. Cajuznho---peanut ball..same as above but peanut butter flavor, i enjoyed this one much more, I had a great time--the food came out quickly and was Delicious. The potato sticks on sandwiches were great & just because someone doesn't eat a meat burger doesn't mean you cant enjoy this place.

Yelp
Moving to Jersey has helped me discover many things, one of which is "lanches" or Brazillian snacks and "salgadinhos" (salty snacks). I came fro California which made me think I was going to miss In-N-Out. Thanks to Hamburgao that did not happen. Their burgers are HUGE. They are very good, loaded with mayo, lettuce, tomato (though I always opt out on that one), potato sticks, and various other things. I ordered their burgers the first few times I went to Hamburgao but have not had one in a while. I think I had a few too many and need a break. They are good but very heavy. I love the various snacks and pastries they have though. Chicken balls (coxinha), pasteis (empenada sort of things), empadas (pot pie like things), etc. have all been good. I also tried an omlette and it was good. I was surprised to find they put peas and corn in it but it was actually really tasty and I don't even like peas or corn much. The food is super cheap. I have never paid over $10 and always left stuffed. It's certainly not the healthiest and as a result I haven't been there in a while but the price and hours (they are open pretty late) make it very convenient. There is always a little bit of a language barrier but they employees are nice and always try to explain everything. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Cristian V.

Yelp
The burgers are good, the service not so much. Made an order for pick up, and they took more than 35 minutes to make two cheese burgers when it wasn't busy.
google avatar

Yelp
Hamburgo serves up authentic Brazilian fast food in the form of burgers, pastries and sandwiches. The location is a block away from the Ferry St. main drag. The dining room is small and cozy which is cool. I decided to give it a try on a guilt-free eat Friday. I ordered the huge Cheese Tudo burger which consisted of a beef paddy, ham, fried egg, corn, potato sticks, lettuce, tomato and mayo. While it didn't knock me out, it was tasty however and it gave me a pretty good fill. I had to top this off with the rich and creamy flan one of the best and freshest I ever tasted. With that said, I now must go on a vegetable juice fast for a day or two. LOL #eats #newjersey #newark
google avatar

Danny B.

Yelp
My friend raved about is place, and it sure lived up to the hype! The cheese tudo burger was awesome! Definitely gonna try to come here before every Red Bulls game now. Can't wait to try more next time I go.

Yelp
I didn't actually eat in but I did have take out from here that my cousin ordered. We had the hamburgao beef, a regular hamburger, and the California beef. All were fantastic. The sauce that they give you really adds good flavor too! I like that their burgers are typically steak patties rather than burger patties. We did also order 2 other non-burger items that unfortunately we didn't get to try because they weren't put in the same bag as the burgers so they were left at the restaurant. When we called back to let them know and to ask for a refund, we were told we couldn't get refunded $4. We could only be given credit to use at another time. They did offer to deliver but we weren't in Newark anymore. Granted it's only $4 but we just didn't get why they couldn't refund $4. However, overall the burgers were delicious! I'd come back to try others.

Yelp
Most of the complaints about this place are ridiculous. I like the vibe of this place. The food is so good and so fresh. Service staff is very courteous and friendly as well. We look forward to exploring more of the menu soon.

Yelp
Great spot to get some good big burgers, service is good and the food is good,is not expensive at all, There burgers have eggs, corn, chip, steak cheese and the have this sauce it's like a mix of mayo and ketchup and it's pretty tasty

Yelp
Weird to some ... a taste of home to others. If you're looking for a European, nay, a Mediterranean-style hamburger joint in Newark then you'll feel right at home here. If you want to experience something different in Newark than a McDonald's or a diner, this place is a good start. If you'd like to try a redefinition of 'hamburger', then sink your teeth into one of their monstrous-sized burgers. If you know Portuguese food it's safe to say they're major meat hounds...so major that Brazil has its own version of The Cowboy. Actually two versions, gauchos and vaquieros (sorry J. Wayne). Having said that you're not going to get a hi-end steak here. But you are going to get a thick and tasty hamburger that tastes nothing like we Americanos are used to. The fries are damn good too and all portions seem to be super-sized. The staff is friendly. The atmosphere is simple and modern and nothing to write home about...hello, it's a fast food place! It is a bit of a hike for Newark downtowners, but on a warm 'n sunny day why not take a walk with your coworkers there. It's a great stroll down Ferry St. where you'll be inundated with the smells, sights and sounds of the Ironbound's premier Portuguese and Brazilian commercial street. Plenty of storefronts to browse, great people-watching, and delicious pastry shops. Bottom Line: Aliens sampled Portuguese, Spanish, Italian and other Mediterranean burger joints, found the one with the phattest 'n fattest burgers, and plopped that bad boy down in the Ironbound (but on accouna drunken alien captain a lil off of where they wanted to :)

Yelp
Very good for what it is. Hamburgers and chicken sandwiches. I wouldn't order the sirloin burger again as it was a steak and it had a bit of grizzle. Service was good.

Kelly L.

Yelp
I went to Hamburgão in Kearny, I ordered a strawberry smoothie. The strawberry tasted awfull, it was spoiled.
google avatar

Cynthia A.

Yelp
The food was really good and the price is very affordable. Just be wary that there is only street parking.
google avatar

Bhumendra J.

Yelp
I am still new to the Brazilian food scene but I decided to go here instead of snack Mania because they had a vegetarian option for their coxinhas. I got the Brazilian cream cheese with corn and it was fantastic. I also picked up a dessert for my wife and Will a day later of you for it. I am not sure of the Spanish name but it was a chocolate ball with chocolate sprinkles. This place has a bathroom and the line moves quickly. Very clean place to sit down and eat if you need a quality meal.
google avatar

Yelp
it should be a 3.5 but I will be generous and round up The food is not bad. the hamburger was not as delicious as my brother hyped it to be however it was very filling considering the price. From a value perspective, it is worth it. I would suggest they improve their sauce. It is rather bland and a bit fatty/greasy after feeling. For their signature sauce, maybe add more vinegar or whatever you mix with mayo. I would also suggest using a light mayo as the base. I would also add more sauces. Maybe add a spicy bbq sauce. maybe add plain mayo. A1 sauce? The service was good. The waitress was very nice, however she forgot our appetizer. it turned out to be a good thing because we were too full from the other food we ordered. the res was nothing special. it was acceptably clean. They should renovate though.
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Stopped by on a weekday afternoon, so there were only a few tables occupied. I ordered the Cheese Tudo (ham, bacon, cheese, fried egg, corn, potato sticks, lettuce, tomato, mayo), which came out quickly. The ingredients were fresh and the meal was filling, but the sandwich was bland overall.
google avatar

Kate H.

Yelp
this place was great! keep your expectations aligned to what this business promotes and you will not be disappointed (hole-in-the-wall, fresh, local, affordable, Portuguese meat sandwiches...) the staff was very accommodating of my food sensitivities! it is possible to enjoy this place gluten free and dairy free / lactose intolerant! the fresh fruit juices are fucking faaantastic. i am going to bring all my friends here! the store hours are early enough for breakfast and late enough for midnight snacks ;) let's keep this place thriving.
google avatar

Mark C.

Yelp
You add the "ão" suffix to Portuguese words to describe huge things. The burger here could just be called a "hamburga," but that doesn't quite do these burgers justice. Because Hamburgão's burgers are, quite simply, incredibly large and in charge. Whenever I'm back home, I always make a point to stop by Hamburgão for my "large burger" fix. I always go with the trusty Cheese Tudo: burger patty, mozzarella, ham, bacon, fried egg, potato sticks, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, and corn. This thing is massive, and costs under seven bucks to boot! The meat is cooked well-done so it can be a little dry, but the burger itself is still decadent. If I want to punish my stomach, I also get a Coxinha. Imagine a pear, but filled with chicken and deep-fried.
google avatar

Ash D.

Yelp
Every time I'm in the area I like to stop by this place but recently I didn't have such a great experience with the staff. For starters, we waited a while until someone came to our table to take our order even though it was not as busy as it usually is. The sandwich was good but it tasted a little bit dry, but the fries were great.
google avatar

Waldo M.

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed the burger. It was a one of a kind burger. It was unlike any other burger I've ever had before. Was it a steak sandwich? Was it a burger? Oh. Wait and there's corn on it too??? If you are in the area and enjoy a good burger, I would definitely recommend you at least give it a shot. Now unfortunately I had to only give it 2 stars based only on the fact that during our meal, we saw the last thing you want to see while you're eating a meal. Yes....we saw a rodent walking around just one table over. So it wasn't exactly the best eating experience but the burger was interesting to say the least.
google avatar

Edna L.

Yelp
YASSSS! The sandwhiches here are so good. I don't know why the mayo corn and potato stick combo is so good but it is and you gotta have it. I always order the steak sand which with everything

Yelp
This place is awesome!! The food was great and quite tasty!! I have been to Brazil before, the food reminded me of some of the great dishes I had during my trip. After we got our hot dogs and sandwiches, the service was lacking a lot. It took us a long time to order dessert. To be blunt, skip the dessert For anyone tight on their budget, there prices are great You will get a lot of food for your buck.

Yelp
My favorite burger spot !!! Can't wait for them to open back up after renovations. Hidden gem - great service and food highly recommend !

Yelp
My son and I went to our first hockey game at the Prudential Center this winter. I'd seen an episode of Burger Land: New Jersey Sliders on the Travel Channel. Since we were already in town, we just had to hit this joint. Ironbound section of Newark still has a bad rep with lots of New Jerseyans. Even locals tell me there's still a lot of crime. So I wasn't all that surprised that friends were texting me that it was a bad idea to take my kid there late at night. I'm an adventurist and believer that most people are inherently good. Bad things can happen anywhere. Be alert, don't act like an @sshole, and trust your instincts. I misread my gps and parked kind of far away. My son wanted me to repark but I was hyper and was needing to move my legs. "We'll do some evening time urban exploration by foot" but it was freakin FREEZING. Our brisk walk led us to this unassuming corner spot, totally unfancy, as is, gramma's dining room feel, with a few locals chatting and eating... could potentially make newbies a little self conscious. We were stared at a bit but in that curious friendly way. Portuguese (I'm pretty sure) speaking staff were friendly and some were more fluent in English than others. Our server took her time trying to answer my questions in a mix of Portuguese/English and hand motions. I wasn't in a rush and appreciated her efforts. This place is NOT for those who are clean eaters or dieters...unless it's a cheat day. There was a lot to choose from but we were both simultaneously drawn to the Cheese Tudo Burger: ham, cheese, lettuce, egg, tomato, corn, mayo, potato sticks and shreds of carrot. Yea. That's pretty much a party in your mouth. We both quietly chomped down and we'd give each other that nod like "mmhmm. yup. this is dang yummy." Juicy and full of texture. You'll need extra napkins.Next time, I'd ask for the egg to be less fried so the yolk can pop it's goodness all over the other ingredients. We also tried Mandioca com Linguica (yucca fries with sausage). Yum. Needless to say, my 4 other kids were pretty envious and have been begging me to take them there. Soon soon...

Yelp
I had very high expectations on this place as I've heard plenty of people talking about it all the time. Tried em for the 1st time and I wasn't impressed at all.
