HAPPY CRAB

Went to brunch with a group of friends on a Sunday at Happy Crab. The space is huge with plenty of parking, and the waterfront location has an awesome view of Puget Sound. We started with the clams, which were really good, and the fried rice and seafood were tasty across the board. I ordered the shrimp and grits, but it didn’t hit the mark for me, the shrimp were good, but the grits weren’t creamy and came out dense and a bit lumpy. The Bloody Mary was well made, the service was great, and overall it was a fun spot for a group brunch.

Our new happy place! Asian-style Cajun/Creole and fried seafood with a great supplemental menu of biang biang noodles, xiao long bao, dumplings and wonton from the Xi'an Noodles people. The seafood boil portion was generous, and the green mussels were crisp and succulent. The happy hour jambalaya and étouffée were again Asian-style but tasty. I had a stiff Paloma cocktail worthy of that from a Chinese bar, although they did not have rye whiskey on hand for an interesting Black Walnut Manhattan. Relaxed spacious atmosphere, lovely panoramic Puget sound view, pleasant low-key service, and cute robot waiters add up to a good value dinner.

You’re paying for the atmosphere, and nice service. Genuine compliments to the team putting in nice effort, but I just can’t recommend choosing this spot. Seattle surrounding areas offers many other options for (in my opinion) better quality seafood, flavor, and options. The atmosphere is nice, and the menu was clear- but the quality and portion of food felt, underwhelming, and un-refined. Small icks like I had to ask for a cleaner spoon. Was told they don’t have any sauce that comes with oysters, and they boast about the noodles, but are mushy and nothing special. Sorry, had higher hopes. Bubble tea drinks are mediocre.

Overall food, especially the crab & shrimp platters went over well, similar to other venues like this we've been to. Disappointed in the chowder and grits. Both were surprisingly tasteless. Grits need at least salt and pepper (can't just boil the corn meal in water) and I think should have a smoother texture .

Excellent place to dine right on the water front. One of my favorite restaurants I dined at on my Seattle vacation. Especially loved the coleslaw.

We stopped by around 3 PM on a Monday and were surprised to find the place almost empty—just a couple of people enjoying the outdoor seating. The building feels brand new: spacious, modern, and honestly much more upscale than I expected. The views are stunning. It was a gorgeous day, and the sunlight reflecting off the water made the whole experience. We tried the seafood boil and pork bao—both were delicious. The menu was limited when we visited, but that’s likely because they’re still newly opened. One unexpected highlight? The bathrooms. Seriously—floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall white. So bright and clean, it almost felt futuristic. And the little robot that delivered our food was a fun touch! Our server was brand new (first day!) and getting training from senior staff -- they were super attentive and kind. He did great! We visit Seattle once or twice a year, and this spot is definitely going on our regular list.

Wonderful experience with gorgeous views of the Shilshoh bay, beautiful botanical settings and bots bringing the food to the tables. Go early as it fills up! Make it clear to the servers invwhich order you would like to have the dishes served. W e will be back soon again!

Great spot, nice staff, good food. Beautiful view! We got a handful of different things to try. The hand pulled noodles and sautéed green beans were the table faves. We went during lunch on a Friday, no wait during this time.
