"This friendly neighborhood dive bar has been around since the late ’50s, and its claim to fame is the wine burger, which sounds a lot fancier than it actually is. The guy at the flattop grill splashes a little red wine over the burger as it’s cooking. That’s it. People argue about whether the wine is even discernible in the burger. What they don’t argue about is the burger itself, which is juicy, supremely simple, and universally beloved. Pro tip: It’s best eaten with a generous melt of cheese, preferably American." - Nikki Buchanan

Ok, after trying to come here on national burger day (which we didn't know was national burger day) we can honestly say it's worth 5 stars. Mark was attentive, the food was damn delicious, and the cook had a great sense of humor. I appreciate all of that as a cook myself. We will be back!

The food was great, will definitely be back and highly recommend! If you're in a rush, choose a different place unless they're not busy, otherwise sit down and enjoy your stay. Service takes a little longer than some other places but it's well worth it. I got the garlic patty melt with fries, my bf got the buffalo blue cheese burger with onion rings, all delicious! I don't normally like beer battered style onion rings but these were the best damn onion rings I've ever had. Hands down. The fries were great, the flavors hit the spot and the burgers were generously sized. Support local! (:

Burgers here are death-row-good - as in last meal request… Slightly biased from nostalgia. My dad brought me here the first time about 40 years when I was probably inappropriately young to come to neighborhood bar. So this weekend I thought it’d be time to bring my little ones to experience some amazing burgers in a dive bar environment. As always, the burgers were impossibly delicious. The service is friendly, casual, and efficient. The environment is uniquely welcoming. If you live in the valley, this is a must to attend least try.

I got the wineburger and an order of onion rings. The onion rings were really good and the garlic sauce was amazing! The burger itself wasnt my favorite though. It was a bit too soggy and not very charred/crisp on the outside like i would prefer. Im sure other people will love it but just not my type of burger

Had an amazing experience at Harvey’s Wineburger in Phoenix! Our server, Nick, was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. We tried the Island Burger and the Rodeo, and both were phenomenal—definitely 5-star quality. The flavors were on point, and the burgers were cooked to perfection. Keep in mind that if it’s busy, you might have a bit of a wait (around 50-60 minutes), but it’s absolutely worth it. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a great burger experience!

Second time here. If you want super attentive service, you won’t find it here. However once we got someone to come over, he was pretty cool. The burger and onion rings were bomb! Would def come back for the food. Get a specialty burger tho instead of a plain wine burger. They are WAYYYY better! My girl also really liked it and she’s pretty picky about food.

Sad day at this place. I placed my order for a burger with the nice lady.Unfortunately about 10 minutes later I received a call and apologized to the male for the inconvenience but requested my order to go. The response was “I don’t want you to come in here anymore “ . That was totally unexpected, I apologized again canceling my order and gave him $10 tip and left.

Just had our 4th visit. Great burgers. Be warned, no smash patties here. Juicy, huge, and piled high. Worth the extra napkins! Service however is very hit or miss. One bartender came to our table, wiped it down, did not say a word and walked away. Another server/bartender came by after and took great care of us. Just depends on who you get. Food is consistently good though, and best price for what you get in the neighborhood.
