"The Rabbit Hole at Henley is way beyond first-date territory. This private MIdtown dinner experience is for a big anniversary, popping the question, or clawing your way out of a particularly thorny dog house. That’s because there’s no flashy kitchen window, long-crowded bar, or chatter to distract you from the person sitting in front of you. It’s you, your date, and a low-lit, sexy table for two hidden behind a bookcase in Henley’s main dining room. The chef here will handle all food decisions for the night, winding you through a multi-course meal that might include milk-poached pork tenderloin, toro with butterbean miso, or butterscotch tobacco creme brulee. The whole Alice in Wonderland “rabbit hole” theme is carried through in the decor and plates—they look ripped right off the Mad Hatter’s table.
