Best Breakfast in Houston | Eater Houston

"A Houston institution since the ‘60s, this all-day diner is known for much more than just its pies. Expect all the quintessential diner breakfast options with a Texas flair, such as rib-eye steak and eggs, beef fajita and eggs, and its sinful griddle options, including the banana pecan pancakes. But don’t be afraid to keep it sweet and simple with a slice of pie and coffee. Here, that counts as breakfast, too." - Marcy de Luna

The 15 Best Breakfast Restaurants In Houston

"House Of Pies serves quintessential diner-style breakfasts all day long. The Houston-based chain has been around since the ‘60s dishing out hot breakfasts at multiple locations around Houston. At the OG Galleria spot, you can expect the old-timey board listing all of the pies, and retro decor around the room. For breakfast, come to House of Pies for a glass of fresh orange juice, a hearty chicken fried steak with a mountain of gravy and eggs your way, and a blueberry muffin on the side. And while it isn’t technically a breakfast food, having a slice of pie feels like it should be a required part of every meal here, so do yourself a favor and grab a slice or two to-go." - chelsea thomas, gianni greene

I’ll Wait All Night for Chicken Fried Steak, Buttery Toast, and All the Desserts From House of Pies | Bon Appétit

"A beloved ’70s‑style diner chain with an outpost in Houston’s Montrose neighborhood, known for reliably satisfying breakfast-for-dinner that many say is worth the wait. The menu serves classic, comforting plates—crispy bacon, creamy soft-scrambled eggs, and fluffy biscuits topped with pork-studded gravy—and a standout chicken-fried steak that’s delightfully craggy and arrives with glossy fried eggs and crackly hashbrowns. An extensive, picture-perfect pie selection tempts diners (lemon meringue, Texas pecan fudge, and golden egg cream custard among them), but the showstopper is the Bayou Goo: decadent layers of vanilla and chocolate custards with cloud-like cream cheese, toasted pecans, whipped cream, and chocolate shavings that converts first-time visitors into regulars." - ByJesse Sparks

This restaurant has been around a long time and is beloved by so many I am sure. As an outsider with no stake in the area or the story, all I can rate is the food. The bottom line... it's fine. It makes me think, this is what Waffle House was when it stated and then went to hell. House of Pies managed to keep the nostalgia, cleanliness, kindness, and hustle up over the years. Even the syrup containers are squeaky clean. I would choose House of Pies over any "similar" breakfast place open today. My first choice would be Ruby Slipper or Brick & Spoon for a more modern take on an American breakfast. I did not try the pies!

Google
Tanya was the best, my wife and I really loves it.. I almost got introuble for licking 🤪 the plates 🍽 clean.. I had a good morning good breakfast and the place was clean and the service and food was the 💣 9.6/10 I would definitely give this place a good try 😋

If you're a fan of dessert, the Pecan Pie from House of Pies in Houston is an absolute must-try! This pie is everything you want in a pecan pie—rich, sweet, and perfectly balanced. The crust is buttery and flaky, while the filling is just the right amount of gooey and packed with delicious pecans. Every bite is a perfect blend of textures and flavors, and you can tell it’s made with love and quality ingredients. It's the kind of pie that’s hard to stop eating once you start. Whether you're dining in or taking it to go, House of Pies' pecan pie will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth. Highly recommended!

Google
This location has unfortunately declined in quality. Both the service and food were below expectations, with staff appearing disengaged and hurried in their approach. The staff/waiters looked miserable/mad and had a very negative demeanor. The chicken fried steak I ordered was very soggy and tasted horrible. The fries were extremely salty and oily. Is this establishment really struggling to find good cooks and waiters? The overall experience lacked the attentiveness and care that once defined this establishment. For those seeking a superior dining experience, the Kirby Drive location remains an excellent alternative.

Google
The atmosphere was very retro very nice, i ordered the chicken fried steak and it was single-handedly the saltiest thing I have ever tasted. I would call it food but it was more akin to a slab of Himalayan pink rock. It was not enjoyable whatsoever and each bite genuinely made me more irritated. If you come here watch out for their chicken fried steak.

Google
Real american diner & bakery, serving tasty breakfast with eggs, pancakes and hash-browns. Bottomless cups of coffee with friendly service starts your morning right. They are also baking their own pies, which look delicious! Locals can be seen here a lot, place is popular for a reason. I took the rib-eye steak and it was perfect. 5/5!

Google
Our server was very attentive and proactive. We had to take our food home because the servings were gigantic. The pie is always great! 😃

Google
I stopped in for a quick coffee since it was the closest spot nearby. The woman at the front was friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. The decor feels a bit dated and could use a refresh to match the prices. While the coffee was decent, nearly $5 for a small cup felt a bit steep. I didn’t dine in, so I can’t speak to the food, but the overall experience was fine for a quick stop.

Yelp
My first experience with House of Pies was the Bayou Goo pie and wow!! Still one of the best pies I've ever had. You can't go wrong with whipped cream, vanilla and chocolate custard, a thin layer of cream cheese and pecans. Man wow! So of course I had to have that on pi day!! And yep, it was delicious again. And to be honest, its actually better the second day. I've also had the strawberry rhubarb pie, which is also delicious. But I also had dinner - chicken pot pie, which was really good. Comfort food that doesn't disappoint. They do it well. The crust was perfect and it really does have a home made taste. Would definitely recommend it if you like chicken pot pie. We also had a super friendly server. He was the main one working our area and seemed cheerful, friendly and attentive to everyone even though he was super busy. Will definitely be back, probably before the next pi day!

Yelp
Food is great diner food, menu has everything from breakfast to dinner items. The staff is amazing friendly. Absolutely must order pie to enjoy the experience. Only thing I have a problem with when eating there is choosing which pie to have for dessert. I haven't picked any flavor yet that I didn't throughly enjoy!

ak p.

Yelp
Will not recommend anymore because of unprofessional behaviors of a waitress who is the most aged one there. We went there in late hours, they closes at 12:00am, But she asked us to leave on 11:37pm, its so rude to ask customer to leave when they are eating. Everyone know the closing time, how can you ask to leave. Will never visit again.

Yelp
This house of pies has been here many, many moons and if you are sensitive to smells such as antiquity then you will be reminded. The service was good and attentive. The pies; however, didn't really taste homemade to me but then again I was in high school home ec where we made the crust from scratch and the chocolate cream too. If you like coffee to taste like coffee and not tea, then perhaps bring your own. lol. It was a date so I will remember this for antiquity.

Yelp
This place always hits. It's exactly what you want when you crave diner type food. This is probably my favorite place to get breakfast food, it's great for late night too. The hashbrowns and banana cream pie are some of my favorites!
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic pies that are always available and friendly service! If you're craving a delicious desert and want a whole host of options, this is the place to go!

Yelp
The diner vibe, with friendly service - always a win. I have been here many times, mostly many years ago, but now with this deliciously dangerous spot down the street - you can bet we will be picking up pies on a regular basis. We have not tried too many of the pies thus far - but when our server described the Bayou the first time we ate at House of Pies together, we knew we were sold. We never visit without getting the Bayou and I hiiiiighly recommend it. The Dutch Apple was similarly amazing despite a totally different pie make. The crust, the crystallized sugar, the apple pieces - just perfect. We will be coming again, and I can't wait to dine in again in the future.

Yelp
I'm just being honest as I possibly can about this place, this place was garbage! The food is horrible! 0 out of 10! The service was even worse as I had to get up 3 times to get anything I needed. Dennys & ihop is like high class compared to this place & its food/service. Never again. Not worth a $45 dinner for 2 ppl at all! More like the dinner should have been $10 total. Wasted $

Yelp
I remember the first time I went to House of Pies. I think this franchise is just a Houston thing but I may be wrong and surely they would do well expanding to other big cities. So, the first time I went to House of Pies it was with a coworker to pick up the orders we made on the night shift. I really wanted to see the restaurant so bad because everyone was raving about it. When we pulled into the restaurant parking I noticed that it was packed! Not only packed but it was prom season( this restaurant are open 24/7) there were legit limousine pulling up with people hopping out with tuxedos and prom dresses. I was in awe and definitely thought it would be a good restaurant if people were coming after prom. I also saw people who were dressed up as if coming from a nice dinner, people dressed casually and because hospitals are open 24/7 there were other medical personnel there to pick up thier orders. So yes, this is an establishment that specializes in pies. All pies are offered year round. This isn't frozen pies from Cysco that they are selling but you can actually watch the employees making the different kinds of pies so on a good day or night you may get a lovely slice made fresh right then. They have so many options: fruit pies - all good, cream pies- all good except I don't care for the Bayou Goo pie but I have a good friend who will get it every time and others have about it. It's like a less rich and more milky French silk pie with a crust made out of nuts. They have pumpkin and sweet potato pie as well. I grew up eating pumpkin pie so I have tasted sweet potato pie here and there and not cared for it. I decided to try the sweet potato pie here. I really like it and have ordered it more than once to satisfy a sweet tooth. It's very good maybe needs a little less nutmeg and cinnamon. They also serve a few cakes, cheesecake, muffins, cookies, and huge brownies and black and white cookies. The serving sizes are large! They also serve breakfast good, as well as lunch and dinner 24/7. So at anytime you can order French toast or pancakes, omelets, steaks, hamburgers and sandwiches, based potatoes, macaroni and cheese, chicken and soups and salads. I like thier salads. They are good and refreshing. They also have a delicious hamburger club sandwich cooked to your liking on Texss toast with French fries. I used to get it years ago and split it with two other coworkers because the portions are so large! I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the Houston area.

Yelp
It was Pi Day so I had to come here. The German Dark Chocolate Cake was worth it. Typically I scrape most frosting off of things but I ate more than normal. Not too sweet and a perfect blend of flavors and textures. Also had the chicken salad sandwich that well... there are better places for that. Let's talk more about that cake. You know a restaurant that makes a better one? Haaaa No. You don't. If you want to argue with me then come here and say it! You know where to find me on 3.14.26 but be patient. I won't talk with my mouth full.

Yelp
Bought 3 chocolate chip cookies yesterday while playing cards next door. They were not very flavorful at all. Having been a baker and chef I wouldn't buy again.

Doug D.

Yelp
I've been a fan of House of Pies on Westheimer for the past decade. Love their Bayou Goo Pie but got stiffed on Friday. Bought a whole pie at $18 (formerly $15 before Wuhan Virus) only to find that it was more than 50% whipped cream. For whatever reason - scarcity of eggs from Avian Flu, high price of eggs n chocolate - the chocolate goo filling was half the former quantity. Won't be going back for sure. Buyers Be Aware!

Yelp
This diner is great! Atmosphere is super friendly and gives off small town vibes. The employees are very nice too! I had the country fried steak and eggs which come with a side and a bread choice and costed around ~$13.99. I did not expect the portions to be as huge as they were so needless to say, I think the price was definitely worth it. I had also gotten a slice of the fresh strawberry pie which was so refreshing! It's definitely my favorite one from here. The slice was huge as well and worth the price. I'd recommend coming here for breakfast/brunch for sure!

Yelp
Came here at 2pm on a Saturday the weekend of the Beyonce concert with my 4 friends and this place wasn't busy at all. We requested to sit at a table in the corner but they told us no because it was for parties of 6 or more. The table we sat at was only set for two people. We wanted 4 crafts of mimosas (serves 4) but the manager only let us order one at a time even though I explained I have a food allergy. The server was a little weird about checking our IDs. We are all 27 and older but it was like the server didn't believe our birth date on our IDs. So we got one cranberry craft mimosa and it was really good. It was very strong. I ordered a coffee but had to ask for cream and sugar. The cream came in a metal container they gave me from another table I'm not sure how long it sat out. The portion sizes are good for the price. My friend really liked her aculpulo. My friends got their orders mixed up with the sauces. The second time she got her food back it still wasn't correct but she didn't want to fuss anymore. My friend's pancakes broke apart too easily and my other friend said her chicken and waffles were okay but not nasty by any means. My biscuits were a little dry but they have jelly. My friend's beans were bland. We wanted desert but they put pecans in all the cookies. Long story short, come for the strong ass mimosas. Be prepared to be forced to buy food.

Yelp
Glad to try such a legendary Houston spot! We just went for pie, and the Bayou Goo pie certainly lived up to the expectation. Hope to be back and try many more pies!

Yelp
The Monte Christo sandwich slaps harder than a pimp on payday. 10/10 would recommend.

Yelp
We love this place! Everything on the menu is good, my favorite is the Tuna Melt! Once I got a burger here and the bread was old though, so 4 stars for that. Other than that the service is always good and you can tell their waitstaff really care about what they're doing. One lady remembers our order every time we come, the next time we come back I'll add her first name to this review. :D

Yelp
I like coming to this diner for their breakfast when I don't feel like cooking and want something simple. The staff is nice and quick to seat ya. Some eggs, bacon, & grits is all I need. Once I came before covid and they had this spinach soup that was so good.
google avatar

Blaire W.

Yelp
I know they're known for their pies, but I actually come here for their loaded Mac and cheese! Best comfort food item ever!

Eric H.

Yelp
The food here is always great, I suggest getting the patty melt as it's so good. The service is always good and prompt.

Oliver ..

Yelp
If you like a good pie, try their cherry pie. It is a house favorite . Also try their strawberry rhubarb for a unique flavor.

Yelp
Received wrong pie during a busy day, returned after Christmas and they exchanged pies without argument. Nice people, tasty pies, and great customer service.

Yelp
Been coming here for over 20 years and it never fails me. My in laws from Japan love this place. Every time they come visit us we have to get breakfast here every day. Very good value for the price you pay and the food is always good
google avatar

Yelp
Been going for 30 years! One of the best diners with low cost quality options and they add new things like quiche that was excellent.
google avatar

Edra Y.

Yelp
I always come to the house of pies for their cakes, which are amazing. Today we decided to eat breakfast, and let me tell you it did not disappoint. I had the Benedict Florentine and it was the best Benedict I've ever had. Not kidding. The eggs were runny and fluffy and perfect. The veggies were fresh and you could tell. I had a side of Turkey sausage and it was juicy and had lots of flavor. The chicken fried steak was crispy and the coating has a good spice and taste. The gravy was excellent. Our service was great as well. Our waitress was kind and attentive. She must have been working there for a while because the moment my coffee was empty she was right there to refill it. I think the best part of eating here is that when we left we felt great. Not too full and in a food coma, after all we ate we just satisfied stomachs. I'll credit that to all the freshness of their food. We can't wait to be back for another breakfast. Maybe next time we will order some sweets to go.

Yelp
I have been coming here a few times a year since moving here 4 years ago. It's a typical, breakfast-all-day type of diner that reminds me of the diners I used to stop in when I was young in the 80's and road traveling with my mom. You will be instantly hit with the nostalgia because the interior is still in the same style, brown vinyl booths and all. The food is consistently good for this type of place. My son and I typically stick to diner basics like breakfast and sandwiches, but their menu is pretty extensive and like the name implies, they have a FULL pie selection and case at the front. I've had the club sandwich, Acapulco omelet and scramble platter (good either way), and my son loves their Belgian waffles. I like their selection of sides that include things like fruit and cottage cheese if you are looking to lighten it up a bit. My only criticism is that they are sometimes too heavy handed with mayo or sauces on sandwiches which can easily be remedied by requesting it on the side. We came today around 4 and were waited on John N. Super friendly guy, kept the drinks full and gave recommendations on taking a slice of pie home. The food was also at the table in less than 15 minutes from being seated, hot and fresh. Is this the nicest brunch establishment in Houston? No. Will you sometimes wait longer than I did today when they are busy? Probably. But it's solid enough that it's been a fixture for decades and I don't see that changing anytime soon. I haven't taken a photo anytime I've been, but trust me when I say that this is a solid choice when someone in your party wants breakfast and the others do not.
google avatar

Yelp
Love this place with my wifey and daughter coffee and pie is our go to dish and also my daughter 1st birthday was celebrated here but they don't offer a gluten free meal options so we just sit and enjoy each other company

Yelp
If you are a Houstonian or from neighboring surrounding cities/towns then you know House of Pies is synonymous with late night meals and That 70's show restaurant decor. They have three locations in Houston and one in Katy that I know of and each location the hours vary so be cognizant of the time because the cooks do. The portions are Texas size so be forewarned. You have the choice for breakfast to dinner plate, everything in between and do not forget it is the House of Pies so you have a selection of huge slices of sweet delights. If you are visiting Houston, House of Pies is one location to check off your bucket list.
google avatar

Melina B.

Yelp
I have to preface this with, I have always loved House of Pies since moving to Houston. This location, however, has really gotten run down. The booth for 6+ people I was in was ripped and had sharp chunks of wood sticking out from it. The wait staff may have been new, but my group had to repeatedly ask for the rest of our drinks, orders, and pies to be brought out, and the wait was pretty long for what was ordered. I loved my chicken pot pie, and the strawberry rhubarb pie is consistently amazing (and impossible to find in the south outside of House of Pies). Overall, I think more staffing, a bit of a face lift to the eating areas, and I would gladly give higher reviews!

Yelp
Your go to server is Lily! Not only she's sweet but also she is very knowledgeable about the menu. My husband and I had a great time!
google avatar

Marty D.

Yelp
I've had almost everything on the menu from salad to burgers and of course breakfast. Pies are out of this world! Bayou Goo and Strawberry Rhubarb are my favorites. Super friendly waitstaff and old school diner type vibe.
google avatar

Jessica P.

Yelp
Decor is old, outdated, dark and crowded. Better servers, hosts, and food at Waffle House but pies are yummy. I get a chocolate cheesecake slice every couple months and it is soooo good. My husband just picked up a strawberry cheesecake for our daughter's 18th birthday couple weeks ago and it was devoured by the five of us within a couple of days. My daughter loved that they did use fresh strawberries also.
google avatar

Lance M.

Yelp
The coffee is weak. They make pies (which are the only reason to come here - and get them to go). Pie and coffee requires good coffee - but alas, not the case here. So, I came for breakfast. Thought 'quiche is a pie, so I'll try that.' That was flawed logic. They nuked it and it came to table as a soggy and muddled mess. Again - another illustration of the power of a habit. People come here for their fix of what they know. They wouldn't come for any other reason (unless, of course, it was to get a lemon meringue pie to go.).
google avatar

Cindy D.

Yelp
I've been to House of pies twice now and never disappointed. I wish they would build one in Galveston or at least nearby! The food is yummy, the service is great (I had Tanya), and the menu is varied. AND the pies are delicious! I really liked my chicken tenders salad, today. So good - lots of yummy stuff including radishes, big slices of tomato, and chicken fried to perfection. Looking forward to my next trip to the House of Pies!

Yelp
For my first trip to Houston, I wanted to grab dessert at a few local favorites. I came across House of Pies and after reading their story and looking at their dessert menu, I knew I needed to make a trip here for a post-dinner treat! On a Thursday, around 7:30pm, I arrived and found a spot in their parking lot. When I walked in, I immediately noticed, and loved, the old school diner aesthetic they had, down to the bar with the bar stools in the floor. In addition to the diner-vibes, I was greeted by a large case of desserts, including pies and cakes. It took me a moment to look over their menu, then look at the dessert case and try to narrow down what I wanted to order. When it came time for me to step up to the counter, I introduce myself to the woman working the cash register and told her it was my first time here and asked what the "signature desserts" are. She did a nice job going over everything and answering all my questions, she was very calm and pleasant. When it came time to order, she did me a big solid and recommended I order a slice of their pie on special, which had recently hit their menu. She was going to package it up to go but I wanted to eat it at the bar and soak in the ambiance. She was very accommodating and let me take a seat and ensured my pie was brought over with a glass of ice water. The gentleman who cashed me out after I ate was also very friendly and pleasant. So what did I order? A slice of Bayou Goo pie, a thin layer of sweet cream cheese, chopped pecans, a vanilla and chocolate custard swirl, topped with whipped cream, powdered sugar and chocolate shavings. This pie was phenomenal! Being from Buffalo, NY, I've never heard of this or had pie like it! The vanilla and chocolate custard were so refreshing and paired so nicely with the sweet cream cheese on top! The pie crust was perfect and held everything together incredibly well. The size of the slice itself was perfect as an after-dinner dessert, I didn't need it to be any bigger than what it already was! The price for that slice of pie seemed reasonable to me, very well worth it. I'm so happy I was able to come to House of Pies and have a Houston-specialty in pie form, Bayou Goo! Each of the staff I interacted with were very friendly and the slice of pie was soo good. If/when I come back to Houston, I would love to come back here for another after-dinner slice of Bayou Goo pie or maybe try a slice of one of their signature pies!

Yelp
The best pies ever!! The wait staff were very friendly and the place is wonderful for just about any meal or late night dessert and coffee! The atmosphere was warm and inviting and has become our favorite dessert place.

Yelp
Ordered the hamburger with onion rings and a slice of apple pie to go...solid diner burger!! Double patty, very flavorful and the veggies were crisp and fresh. The sesame seed bun was fantastic and held up nicely with all of the toppings and condiments. The onion rings were AMAZING! Super light and crispy exterior with that perfect juicy crunch into the interior. The Dutch apple pie was classic tasting and delicious. This with tip was $20. Very solid and will definitely be back again. The service and restaurant were excellent for the little bit I was there...extremely friendly!!

Yelp
I love house of pies! The only thing I dislike is the wait to be seated, but not really a big deal. Usually they're pretty fast to get you seated as soon as someone leaves. This is the place to go if you love old fashioned diners. Waitstaff is always super friendly and helpful with recommendations. Their food is always seasoned well and those cheesecakes and pies are too die for. This place should definitely be on everyone's bucket list of restaurants to try in Houston!

Yelp
Simply amazing great hot old fashion breakfast and excellent service. The staff is very nice and speedy.

Yelp
The chicken fried chicken reminded me of the stories of people being shipwrecked on a desert island eating shoe leather to survive. I would not feed that chicken fried chicken to a neighbor's dog that I don't like. It should have never left the kitchen. They were short staffed and stressed. I didn't say anything. I actually ate half of it. Those that did show up for work were great. Good, bright, hard working people in a bad situation. God bless them. The salad was actually delicious, cool, and fresh. Now for the pies! The Bayou Goo is a masterpiece. Get one. Everything good is in this pie. The key lime pie is very good. I've had much better key lime pies in other establishments. It's still very good. You won't be disappointed. The Bayou Goo is their zenith in pie making. That is what they should be known for. I noticed they opened a new House of Pies in Katy off of I-10. I look forward to visiting them.

Yelp
Solid 4! Great service, good diner food and let's face it this place is old, I started coming here in the late 80s and the food and atmosphere hasn't changed. If you complain because it's not new and fresh you fail to see the authentic diner experience. No surprises it's the same solid diner food served 24/7. You will never have an empty coffee mug the food will always be good!

Yelp
Best pie in Houston.. Blueberry pie is awesome. The avocado cheese burger was also awesome. Look at all the avocado they put on my burger. Most places only give 3-4 thin slices of avocado they have me half of one. Should have asked for cheddar instead of the American slice cheese. Also you need to try their banana cream pie.. best pies in Houston

Yelp
Update: I came here again for breakfast food + dessert with the same couple of friends as last time. Again, we were not disappointed. I again got the eggs alone plate - my choices for my 2 eggs, potatoes, and bread were: scrambled eggs, cottage fries (similar to Chickfila-style breakfast hash browns), and bagel (which came with a generous serving of cream cheese on the side - yay). For dessert, I got the French silk pie, which tasted light enough that I finished my whole piece instead of taking some home like I normally would. Service was quick, and our server even brought me a second, bigger water glass after they had to refill my water twice!

Yelp
It's ok... imagine a time warp back to the late 80s/ early 90s done in restaurants like Howard Johnson or Village Inn. Same thing here just they have not evolved out of that period where just ok was good enough. The seating is old school diner and not overly comfortable. The service is a bit on the slow side and the wait staff is just friendly enough to get by. They have a large offering on the menu covering breakfast, lunch, dinner or just desserts. The food is nothing spectacular. The variety of desserts is nice but you cannot customize items, which seems odd. i asked for cherry cheesecake and was told that was not an option. If you make your own cherry pie, how is it not an option? The tres leches was good but the key like pie was disappointing- really runny. When I asked about it, I was told that was just how they do it. I would go back, but don't come in with high expectations. Instead remember back to your 80's/90's family outting, but not the one that grandma cooked, but more like the pot luck where your aunt just cleaned out the leftovers from her fridge.

Yelp
Great breakfasts and friendly service each time I've stopped in. The pies are great and we love to get them for special occasions.

Yelp
I've never had the food at house of pies, but their pies are seriously so good. During the holidays there's always a line out the door people their pies are that good. And I'm guilty of waiting 20+ mins in line to buy a few pies. All the pies are so good but French silk is my favorite. And their New York strawberry cheesecake is to die for

Yelp
House of Pies is one of those rare eating spots in Houston where u just want to try everything they serve, because the Food there is just so darn Good!! Their pies are homemade and everything else tastes authentic and delicious, real Ingredients and a down to earth dining room that makes u feel ur at home! I'll have to keep going back for more and a definite favorite for me.

Yelp
After my wife's long night at work, she bought pancakes to go , only to be disappointed when we got home to burned pancakes . It was so bad we had to throw them away .

Yelp
Does anything go better with coffee than a slice of pie? Every time I make the trip to Houston I have to stop by House Of Pies. Some buddies and I were making our way back home and had to stop here for breakfast. It was my first time at this location, but the food and service were outstanding as always. I woke up that morning needing some pancakes and theirs were friggin delicious. You couple that with some cheesy eggs, hash browns, and sausage and you have a out of this world breakfast. Of course I had to take some pie home for the wife, bayou goo FTW!
