"Set atop the Hyatt Centric in Buckhead, I spend afternoons relaxing by the rooftop pool where a day pass includes towel service and lounge chairs and lets you order food and drinks from rooftop bar Spaceman and hotel restaurant Three Arches. Day passes start at $35." - Beth McKibben
"At the Hyatt Centric hotel in Buckhead, Three Arches has recently replaced Mount Royal; chef Josh Hopkins’s Mediterranean-focused menu is expected to feature dishes like grilled trout with pistachio pesto and preserved lemon and Moroccan meatballs with mint yogurt, cabbage, and pickled onions. Earlier this year chef Hugh Acheson closed his Montreal-style steakhouse at the hotel after four months, reportedly due to creative differences with management." - Beth McKibben
"I understand Mount Royal is a Montreal‑style steakhouse at the Hyatt Centric hotel in Buckhead that opened about four months ago and was conceived by Hugh Acheson as an ode to his hometown of Ottawa and neighboring Montreal; the menu centers on prime cuts of steak paired with French‑Canadian dishes such as Lyonnaise salad, tourtiere (meat pies), and sour pickles. Recently the restaurant has been the subject of a management change: Acheson (and apparently Sam Herndon, head of his culinary team) are no longer affiliated with the project, some reservations were canceled and the restaurant has temporarily closed for dinner while the hotel says it is undergoing “exciting changes,” though Mount Royal remains open for breakfast seven days a week and the hotel declined to elaborate on any rebranding plans. A spokesperson for Acheson confirmed he is no longer part of the project and a source indicated the split stemmed from “creative differences.”" - Beth McKibben
"Located in Buckhead, the Hyatt Centric hotel is the site of Acheson’s new Montreal-style steakhouse, Mount Royal, which the chef was overseeing at its recent debut before leaving to assist World Central Kitchen’s refugee relief work in Romania." - Beth McKibben
"A Montreal-style steakhouse inspired by Ottawa and Montreal that pairs prime cuts of beef with classic French-Canadian preparations and Southern-sourced ingredients. The menu leans on labor-intensive, traditional techniques and features items like Lyonnaise salad, sour pickles, and a tourtiere — a flaky puff-pastry meat pie filled with seasoned braised pork, ground veal, and ground pork, served with frisée hearts dressed in black truffle vinaigrette. Seafood highlights include an Ora King salmon pinwheel: the fish is flattened, layered with soft-cooked leeks, rolled, chilled, sliced and poached in a buttered seafood nage with trout roe, lemon and chervil for a delicate, buttery texture and striking presentation. Vegetable-focused sides also stand out, such as a carrot Vichy cooked in spring water, butter and sugar and finished with parsley, and more than half the menu incorporates produce and goods from local farms and purveyors." - Beth McKibben
