"Super low-key and unflashy, don’t let I’m Vegan fly under your radar for excellent Thai food without any animal ingredients. With outdoor seating on cute tables on Lincoln Avenue or indoors, you don’t want to miss their array of appetizers like tempura and the Lak-Sa curry noodle entrée with abundant veggies and soft noodles can’t be beaten." - Marla Rose

"Fresh and healthy spins on familiar Thai staples are the focus of I’m Vegan. Everything is vegan-friendly, of course, and diners will find options like steamed bao buns filled with panko-crusted avocado; garden spring rolls with tofu; stir-fried cashew; curry with eggplant; and steamed banana or taro with sticky rice. Classics such as tom yum soup and pad Thai can also be supplemented with soy chicken or duck. And the portions are generous. Online ordering is available here." - Jeffy Mai

"I’m Vegan And Vegetarian is a Thai restaurant in Lakeview that (as the not-very-subtle name hints at) is vegan. You’ll find appetizers like mushroom steam buns or tofu satay, along with entrees like a curry (we like it with the mock duck) and khou yum made with soy chicken. Everything has a nice balance of sweet and spicy, and generously portioned with prices ranging from about $7-12. The space works well for a casual date night, or just grabbing some basil fried rice on your way home from work." - Adrian Kane

"Aptly named restaurant I’m Vegan & Vegetarian is open and offering a large menu of animal-free dishes with a Pan Asian bent such as crispy spring rolls, laksa, and pad Thai. Desserts are also available, including shaved ice." - Naomi Waxman

This place is vegan Thai food perfection! Everyone enjoyed their entree, beverage and dessert! Their serving portions were big at reasonable prices. The service was great, and they were very accommodating of our son’s nut allergies. They were also so kind by offering us a free serving of sweet potato fries which we used as a cake for our birthday eve celebrations.

I loveeeee this place! It’s a perfect vegan Thai restaurant in the middle of Chicago. We had 2 different steamed buns and tofu satay for appetizer, and each with one portion of rice for entree. The portion is perfect and the flavor is awesome. Love the soy duck and peanut sauce. The music is chilling too. I’ll come back! Updated: I came back the next two days. All of our meals in Chicago were here. We tried almost every items on the menu and not a single one disappointed us. The presentation is amazing. We feel like home when we are welcomed and served food here.

Surprised how delicious the food was here.. every single thing we ordered was uber yummy. The service was really good too. We got Thai ice tea (it was a different tea which made it super delish), curry puffs - crispy and yum!, Tofu steamed bun and stuffed mushroom - good sauce/marination on the tofu, mushrooms fully stuffed. Lastly, pad khee mao - phenomenal. The flavors overall, on point! Will totally be a frequent customer here.

The food was very tasty and was prepared quickly. The ambiance isn’t much, but the overall experience was still wonderful. Would definitely eat here again! Try the Crispy Spring Rolls, Chive Dumplings, and Steamed Buns!

We loved the food! Finding a vegan restaurant with gluten free option and delicious food is a treat! I asked for light oil and not too spicy and they followed the instructions to the dot. Both ladies who served us were very friendly. Portions were really generous. I couldn't finish mine. Definitely worth the price. Try it, you won't be disappointed!

Excellent vegan Thai! My partner and I shared the Tofu Satay and it was perfect! Peanut sauce was super flavorful. I also got the Tom Yum soup and it was pleasantly spicy. Tons of variety in the menu and we we will surely be back to try it all!

First time dining in and we ordered thai iced tea, Tom Yum soup with vegetables and tofu, chive dumplings, curry dish with soy chicken, fried rice with soy duck. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted fantastic, you can tell the chef puts a lot of time into their craft. The chive dumplings were unique aswell as the fried rice using a berry purple rice and were both outstanding. I recommend trying the soy duck in curry dishes bc the flavors blended best. I would next time add soy chicken to the soup or just with vegetables. A must try!

This place has excellent options if you just want light bites or a full meal. The food is great. Very tasty and appropriate spice levels. The service is excellent. I would definitely come back here. Highly recommended, especially if you're looking for an all vegetarian or vegan menu.
