Industrial-chic New American restaurant offering wood-fired pizzas and mains, plus a river view.
"If you’re seeing a show at Pier 17, that means it’s warm enough to eat outside. Indsutry Kitchen is the closest option with a full dinner menu and outdoor seating with great views of the bridges, river, and Brooklyn. It’s an ideal place to order a margherita pizza and say things like, “Wow, the buildings in Downtown Brooklyn are so tall.”" - hannah albertine, bryan kim, matt tervooren
"This portside outdoor cafe is best approached by bike, and provides spectacular views of the Upper Harbor, with Brooklyn Heights across a broad stretch of water. Unfussy food runs to beer-braised pork sliders, kale and brussels sprouts salad, and ahi tuna nachos, plus wood-fired pizzas. For extreme high rollers, there’s a $2000 pizza topped with foie gras, truffles, and gold leaf." - Eater Staff
"Industry Kitchen has installed a few personal table coverings to block undesirable weather. Unlike Cafe Du Soleil’s bubble domes, this pizza and salad spot on the East River has table tents that look more like tiny clear houses. In fact, some real estate broker could probably list one on StreetEasy for $1,500 a month on the Lower East Side - utilities not included. Industry Kitchen is open from noon to 10pm every day, and you can reserve a table here - but we’d suggest giving them a call to ask about tent availability." - hannah albertine, nikko duren
"Hanging out by the water doesn’t need to only be a nice weather activity. After all, it’s not like you’re going to cool off in the Hudson. You do it for the views, and they’re still on full display. Check them out while eating walnut-crusted french toast with nutella, or a thin-crust pizza with bacon and fried eggs in a private, heated, glass-enclosed table outside of Industry Kitchen at the Seaport." - Matt Tervooren
"Whether you finished taking pictures of The Oculus earlier than expected, or it’s a Summer Friday and you’re the only one who actually came to work today - you’re in FiDi and you want to get some drinks while the sun’s out. Walk over to Industry Kitchen on the East River by the Seaport. If the weather’s nice, sit at a picnic table outside, but even if it’s not, the floor-to-ceiling windows provide the same views from the huge space inside." - Bryan Kim, Matt Tervooren
