Enjoyed the tea salad. Chicken curry was okay but lacking somewhat in flavor. The gyoza were underbrowned. Portion size was good. Service attentive and friendly.

The food was amazing and spectacular! The staff were very friendly, the restaurant was warm and cozy, and the food was absolutely delicious. Our first time here, we had the mohinga and the second time we had the tea leaf salad, coconut noodle soup, and the Burmese style chicken kabobs. Both times the food was amazing and we were shocked about how rich and flavorful every dish was. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone! This is my new favorite restaurant now!

Both of my experiences at this restaurant have been incredible. The Mohinga and Coconut Noodle Soup are some of the best soups I've had ever, and the Burmese Style Chicken Kebabs are a great lighter curry option. I also had the Burmese Falooda, which was a fantastic way to end my meal. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and were happy to answer the questions we had. They were also happy to accommodate my peanut allergy, so I could enjoy the delicious Tea Leaf Salad. I look forward to coming back and trying other menu items, and I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. The prices are up to $30-50 per person despite what the app says, but the experience is absolutely worth it. I'm not a professional photographer, so the food looks even better than what I can show.

I was very impressed with the taste of the foods and pleased with the service I received. Highly recommended the Burmese style tea leaf salad, fish chowder noodles and Fresh fruit Lychee Tea drinks plus the shrimp fried Rice. Overall the foods are flavorful and delicious. Cute little shop tucked into a corner and wow this place is great for a cute date! Came with no wait on a Saturday night and this place has a really great wait staff who constantly checked in with me and even gave me a napkin when I spilled something and didn’t realize he noticed. Standout dishes were the paratha for sure it was some of the most soft and flavorful paratha I’ve ever had and it goes great with the curry sauce. The coconut chicken noodle soup was great too with the soft chewy noodles and yummy soup base. The moneybags weren’t as yummy but we’re super chewy and unique.

Very nice lunch menu and good for a party of 5 people to enjoy here.

We've been waiting for this neighborhood restaurant to open because other places like Burma Superstar and Mandalay are too far, and it didn't disappoint us! Service is quick! Servers are nice and helpful with suggestions. Portions are good size. We'll definitely return.

San Francisco has a popping Burmese restaurant scene, encompassing not only big name restaurants but local spots like Inle Burmese too! The flavors of the dishes here were bold and vibrant but served in an understated dining room off an affordable menu. We started with the famous Tea Leaf Salad, a crunchy combination of chopped romaine mixed with roasted peanuts, fried garlic, fava beans, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, tomatoes, and jalapeños, all tossed with fish sauce and a fermented tea leaf dressing. This was definitely my favorite dish, as the combination had so much depth of flavor and textures--crunchy, nutty, salty, sour, spicy, all at the same time! Next, the Mohinga (Fish Chowder Noodle Soup) was a rich, spiced broth with minced fish and rice noodles, flavored with plenty of aromatics including lemongrass, ginger, onion, garlic, and fish sauce. On the side came cilantro, lime, Chinese donut pieces, boiled egg, and red chili flakes for dressing up the soup. The Chicken Curry was a rich stew of boneless chicken and potatoes in an aromatic spice mixture, served with a side of paratha, a crispy layered flatbread. The Nan Gyi Noodle Salad was made of slippery round rice noodles topped with cabbage, chickpea bean powder, cilantro, boiledegg, red onions, and chicken marinated in a Burmese red sauce. Finally, the Burmese Garlic Noodles were egg noodles tossed in a pungent garlic oil, soy sauce, and crispy garlic, topped with intensely flavored stir-fried chicken and scallions. Overall, the food here was delicious, and every dish was beautifully-presented and vibrant in flavor. The menu prices were very reasonable for SF, and the service was quick and friendly too!

Inle is an okay casual neighborhood option and gets the job done in a pinch, but I'd rather go to Mandalay or Burma Superstar for Burmese. For appetizers, the chicken wings had a nice thin, crispy exterior, and the paratha could be fluffier. I did enjoy the coconut curry dip though. With the Mohinga fish noodle soup, the rice vermicelli noodles soaked up too much of the soup so they broke easily. The Chinese donut topping also could've been crunchier and fried more. The garlic noodles with braised chicken was on the sweet side and could use more garlic. Honestly, I don't think I'd come back.

Came into town last night on a Thanksgiving Eve to see the holiday Lightscapes at the Botanical Gardens in Golden Gate Park and ended up taking public transportation to get there. The muni train dropped us off in the Inner Sunset District neighborhood right next to the Park. It was really cold, damp, and dark, and we were in search of hot, comforting, tasty food to warm our bodies, hearts, and souls. We walked up & down the 9th & Irving District a few times before deciding that Inle Burmese food would hit the spot. It was a terrific choice, and here's my review. Inle is a small friendly, family-run restaurant on a street packed with restaurants, bars, and retail. It is clean, warm, and inexpensive, serving delicious food in a pleasant environment with great, hospitable service. Our waiter & server was the owner (I didn't catch his name), who was really nice & thoughtful as we really don't have much experience with Burmese food. He patiently & thoroughly helped us to narrow down our choices according to our vegetarian dietary needs. While everything on the menu looked & sounded great, we decided to go with a soup & a rice dish, plus hot green tea, for maximum warmth & flavor, with minimal costs. We ordered the Samosa soup and the Inle Fried rice and they were wonderful dishes to eat on a cold night. The Samosa soup came with Burmese-style Samosas & Falafels served potatoes, cabbage, red onions, mint, and jalapeño in a Daal (lentil) soup. It was warm, thick, and tasty, sort of like the consistency of a porridge or stew. Portions were big enough to have 3 soup bowls each between the two of us, certainly large enough to feed a party of four, so for us, it could've just been the meal. The spices were very delicious, and mixing the soup before eating it, stirred up even more wonderful, spicy flavors as it helped to distribute the mint, jalapeño, and Masala flavors. It was served in a nice earthenware bowl, with matching accompanying smaller serving sized soup bowls. Next, we had the Inle fried rice with Burmese fried white jasmine rice, yellow peas, tofu, and a fried egg served on top. The rice was cooked perfectly, not too mushy & not too crunchy. The peas & tofu were plentiful and delicious. It was served with a nicely fried egg on top of it, plus a side serving of a tangy masala sauce. This dish certainly hit the spot with its flavors and mild spices. Portions again were huge enough to serve a hungry party of four, but me being the big eater here, I gladly finished the whole thing, because, I prefer not to take hot food to go while traveling on busses, trains, and while walking. After two simple entrees and some tea, we were completely stuffed, satiated, and content. Everything tasted great, the service was wonderful & attentive, and the atmosphere comforting & inviting. This restaurant certainly felt like a shelter in a storm, and provided us with enough sustenance & pleasure to embark on our post-dinner chilly walk over to the GG Park Botanical Gardens for a holiday walk through the Lightscapes show. Inle is large freshwater lake located in the mountains in the Shan State of Burma/Mynamar. This restaurant serves fantastic food from this same region, in a setting that is as tranquil as that same lake that it is named for. Wonderful people, good food, and a tranquil setting. The booth that we dined in was cozy, the food was authentic & flavorful, and the service was hospitable & friendly, just like the people of thst region. Would come back here in a heartbeat, especially on another cold winter's night. Next time, i want to try the Tom Yun soup & Shan glass noodles, and I just need to make up another excuse or find another event to attend nearby to bring me back to this restaurant. Great spiritual & gastrointestinal experience here, from the setting to the service to the food, a 5-star dining experience for only a 2-star price! (dinner was only around $40 total)

I stopped by on a Saturday evening. The place was not crowded. Coconut noodle soup was my favorite item here. I loved the paratha as well. Coconut rice had excellent flavors. Burmese garlic chicken noodle came in good quantity. I had to pack it to home.

4 stars for the food and an extra star for the service! Came by with a friend a little after 7:30 for dinner, and it was pretty empty (only a couple of other tables were filled), so we were seated immediately. Spent a few minutes looking at the menu, and after ordering, we only waited maybe about 10 min for the food to start coming out! - Tea Leaf Salad: I love a tea leaf salad, and so did my dining companion (first time trying!). Really enjoyed all the different textures and how crunchy it was - Braised Pork Belly with Tofu (sub paratha): pork belly was flavorful and tender, and the paratha was warm and flaky! You don't get the curry dipping sauce that you would get if you ordered the actual paratha appetizer, so I'd try getting it by itself next time instead of as an add on (think the curry would complement the paratha a lot better) - Burmese Garlic Noodles with Chicken: happy to report that the chicken was moist! I'm not sure if I'm just used to a lot of places giving you a tiny bit of protein and a ton of carbs, but I thought the portion of chicken for this was pretty generous The staff were really kind and courteous, and the dishes were pretty solid! Definitely planning on coming back the next time I'm in the area and craving Burmese food :)

Came here last night for the first time and was unfortunately pretty underwhelmed. We got the tea leaf salad, garlic noodles with chicken and beef curry. The tea leaf salad lacked flavor, there wasn't really a dressing and/or the tea leaves had absolutely no flavor. Both entrees we got were lukewarm when we received them which was a huge turn off. The curry beef lacked spice and flavor as well. The garlic noodles were not fresh and undercooked as many of the bites I had were a bit crunchy. Also the chicken in the noodles were bits and pieces of chicken thigh, no substantial pieces which made it feel like it was the discard from the chicken curry or something. Unfortunately I would not recommend this place.

3.5 stars for me, but rounded up to 4 for the good service! My friends and I were originally going to go to San Tung down the street but the line was way too long, and we were too hungry to search for another restaurant, so we stumbled into this Burmese restaurant. I've only had Burmese food once before and I remembered really enjoying it, so I was hoping Inle would live up to my expectations. We ordered the paratha with curry dip and golden bags to share, and for my entree, I went with the nan pya noodle salad. Both appetizers were good and piping hot. The golden bags are very similar to samosas. My nan pya noodle salad was just ok - not big on flavor and tasted pretty bland to me. I ended up adding a lot of spice to help give it a kick. Some of my friends enjoyed their food, while others also thought it was just okay. The servers were super friendly and kept checking in on us to refill our waters. All in all, not too bad! The reviews are good so I'm wondering if I just ordered the wrong thing.

He does like Thai tho, but there's enough of a difference where he's never sure what to order. (And he hasn't really found anything he loves.) I adore a good tea leaf salad, so every once in a while, the hubs will explore the cuisine again. With Inle, they actually had Thai like dishes, so he didn't have an issue trying to figure out what to order. I like you can modify the salad to say no peanuts on DD. That is not an option at a lot of Burmese spots. The salad was fine. I wish I got more of that fermented flavor, but it hit the right spots with texture. Luckily I had more lettuce and jalapenos at home, so I added more greens and spice to the dish. I'm not a big white rice fan with my curry, so it's kinda a bummer they don't have brown rice. I just made some at home while waiting for the delivery. The hubs typically orders the basil chopped chicken at most Thai spots, but asks for it extra spicy. We couldn't make notes when ordering, so found this dish rather bland. A fine spot if my tea leaf salad craving hits. REVIEW #3682

The service was good and friendly. We ordered the lunch special. The fried rice was okay. The soup noodle was a little salty but interesting. The price is reasonable.

TLDR: Tasty Burmese and Thai style plates located just about three stores down from the vibrant corner of 9th & Irving. Fast friendly appreciative service, nicely appointed decor yet casual. Comfy booth seating available along the wall. Our Visit: We came here around 2pm on a Sunday afternoon, got seated right away. We chose the following dishes: 1) Eggplant & Tofu with Garlic Sauce: I felt like eating more veggies, so I chose this dish, which includes Stir fried eggplant, tofu, napa cabbage, Gai lan, Carrots, green beans, mushrooms, red bell peppers & Thai basil garlic sauce and a bowl's worth of white rice. I also added slices of chicken to this for an extra $2. Very tasty. 2) Kao Ka Pao: With this you get: wok-fried minced chicken, Thai basil, bell peppers, chili & house special brown sauce with rice on the side. Think of this as Thai Chicken basil with chili and bell peppers - essentially Chicken Ka Prow. The minced chicken here was super tender, more so than the wok fried slices of white meat that I had added to my Garlic Eggplant plate. Loved the sweet/savory sauce in both. Flavors of both dishes were on point, and tasty. Of the two dishes, my favorite was the Ko Ka Pao, but I loved the veggies too.. Each dish was plated in an attractive manner with good attention to detail. I wouldn't mind coming back sometime to try their other selections..

Great spot if you want to eat in or have a quick take-out place. Loved the tea leaf salad here. The crisp and fresh greens, the crunchy varieties of nuts, and the perfect dressing to mix it in. The fish soup was 4/5. It was very light so I would have it with an appetizer or side next time.

We have had wonderful experiences at Inle Burmese Cuisine! The atmosphere is homey, tables are always filled yet we are always seated promptly, and the food comes out quick. Here are the dishes I have tried so far: Inle's Coconut Noodle Soup, as their menu states, is a MUST try. It was aromatic, flavorful, and creamy; the perfect cozy meal on a cold day. On the side came a plate of cilantro, freshly sliced red onions, sliced broiled egg, chili flakes & lime, delectable additions to toss into the soup to our taste (it was also fun to have an "interactive" component to the meal). I will be coming back just for this soup! Highly highly highly recommend. Garlic Noodle with chicken: the noodles were thin flat ribbons, unlike Vietnamese garlic noodles, which wasn't my favorite texture, so keep this in mind. The dish is yummy nevertheless, it's just personal preference. Chicken Curry as well as the Pad See Ew w/ Chicken: great flavors, no notes. I will be ordering them again. Paratha w/ Coconut Curry Dip: delicious. I could eat these forever; flaky, buttery, warm, perfect when dipped into the flavorful coconut curry. Chocolate Lava Cake w/ Ice Cream: tasty, though nothing to write home about. We should have just ordered one of the other desserts. I've got my eye on the Mango Pudding or the Wrapped Sticky Rice with Banana & Black Bean for next time...

Really enjoyed the tea leaf salad, it was fresh and had amazing flavors and crunch. Unfortunately was not a fan of the garlic noodles or chicken curry, maybe I'm just not a fan of Burmese food but felt the garlic noodles had little garlic flavor and was sweet, the chicken curry had a lot of oil. Again, maybe I'm just not a fan of Burmese food or didn't know what to get, but I wasn't impressed. Service was nice and friendly.

Came with a group of friends to get some Burmese food before heading on over to the Cal Academy! This restaurant is very close to Golden Gate Park, and the service was great! The restaurant is nicely decorated as well. We ordered a plethora of food. I got the pork belly and tofu with coconut rice for myself, but I tried a little bit of my friends' dishes as well. The pork belly had great flavor and was very soft as well! I'm a fan of coconut rice, so this was a very delicious combo! The garlic noodles weee also packed with flavor and tasty! I also enjoyed the pad see ew, which had a lot of veggies and mushrooms! I did not try the tea leaf salad as I'm allergic :( but my friends all said it tasted amazing ! Overall, definitely a 10/10 meal and I would definitely come back again :)

We came here for an early dinner, and the restaurant was quiet and clean, with just two other groups dining in. We were greeted warmly upon arrival. We ordered the Tea Leaf Salad, Chicken Curry, and Beef Curry. The salad wasn't made tableside like at some other Burmese spots, but it was still fresh with great flavors. The curries were flavorful, but the meats were a bit too dry for my liking. Overall, it's an okay spot. I might return for the tea leaf salad, but nothing about the experience stood out as exceptional.

Eggplant & Tofu in Garlic Sauce - pretty good, my least favorite of the 4 dishes. Also had the Vietnamese iced coffee which was awesome. I had been eyeing this restaurant for a while and I'm so glad I finally tried it!

Really was craving Burmese food and decided to give this place a try. Came here on a Tuesday around 5:30 PM with a party of 5 and got seated immediately. The waitstaff were super kind and attentive. We got the Tea Leaf Salad, the Chicken Curry, the Braised Pork Belly with Tofu, the Pad Thai with Tofu, and the Burmese Garlic Noodles with Chicken. The perfect amount of food for 5! Tea Leaf Salad: 5/5, I love tea leaf salads and this one did not disappoint! Zesty and the greens were still crunchy. Chicken Curry: 4/5, great flavor but a little oily for my taste. Generous chunks of chicken! Braised Pork Belly with Tofu: 4/5, great pork! Super flavorful and the sauce was wonderful on its own with rice as well. Pad Thai with Tofu: 4/5, pretty standard. Crispy tofu and appreciate the generous portion of peanuts they gave with it for crunch! Burmese Garlic Noodles with chicken: 5/5, easily the first thing gone from everyone wanting seconds. Must have! All the dishes were plated and decorated beautifully with flowers and vegetables cut out like flowers and with ridges. The food also tastes as good as it looks! Definitely would come here again.

After a wonderful day at the deYoung museum, I was so excited to find Burmese cuisine--a rarer option in this area. It was only a 13-minute walk from the museum. We couldn't wait to try it, as it's been a long time since we had this cuisine. I wish I could give a better review. I had Nan Gyi Burmese Noodle Salad: Rice noodles, red onion, chicken, julienned red cabbage?, lime juice, chick pea powder, fish sauce, cilantro, and Burmese "red" spices (more like amber orange). It was quite bland; it was slightly improved by adding a bit of dried red chili pepper. And it was greasy, which was especially noticeable warmed over the next day. I was happy to have chrysanthemum tea--also a rare find in some Asian restaurants. My elder parent ordered the Pork with Pineapple--also extremely bland. While the meat was tender, she added Sriracha hot sauce just for some flavor. She wishes to give this restaurant zero stars, since the wait staff was extremely detached as they were watching on two big screen TVs a sport show, then some award show. They were also blaring k-pop music...a bit surprising to me. One of the patrons was loudly carrying on a video conversation on his cell phone speaker for at least 15 minutes! With all this noise, my companion and I could barely hear each other in a conversation. And there was only the two of us, and two other patrons the entire time we were there. The staff did check in with us twice...is everything OK? At that point, I just wanted to finish eating and leave, and just didn't feel comfortable I'd feel heard or that they would want to do anything about our multiple disappointments. Perhaps we just weren't their demographic. I did enjoy the absolutely lovely photos on the wall of Burma scenes. However, unfortunately we won't be back to this restaurant.

My husband and I ordered meals to go at Isle Burmese restaurant. We liked the ambiance and took our food home. We ended up throwing out the food. We composted it!!! My husband ordered a Tofu Garlic noodle dish and I ordered a Chicken Garlic noodle dish. We were not very hungry, so we only ordered these items. The taste was so bad, that we threw out the food. We won't be going back!!!!

Came here with three friends on a super rainy Saturday evening and promptly seated. Got the coconut noodle soup, which was nice and fragrant! We also got paratha (the South Asian version of roti) which was buttery and flaky. My friends all enjoyed their dishes too. Overall enjoyed the meal -- nothing crazy standout, but solid Burmese food in the Sunset near Golden Gate Park.

A nice quiet spot for Asian comfort food sits on inner Irving Street, serving Burmese cuisine , which is close to Thai. A must-try is their tea leaf salad with crunchy nuts - fresh and delicious! We also ordered Tom yum soup, stir-fry tofu with fried eggplant and spring rolls. The service was professional and attentive.

Great service and great food! We got the tea leaf salad, beef curry, coconut soup, and glass noodle soup, and everything was delicious. The seasoning was well done and not too salty or under seasoned, and the tea leaf salad was a highlight as the dressing was unlike anything we had tasted in other Asian cuisine. Food was served fast and presentation was impeccable. Clean restaurant as well. The lychee iced tea is also a must-get! I would drink this every day if I could. Must try if you're in the area!

It's a nice alternative to B star and a couple other Burmese restaurants in the area. Sometimes the other restaurants close if you happen to need a late lunch. I like their tea leaf salad and curries. Service can be a little slow but I think it depends on the time of the day. Will go back to explore more items from the menu.

One of my favorite spots in the area! Portions are generous and definitely hits the spot when I'm in the mood for Burmese. I brought my parents and they were always accommodating for different dietary needs (gluten-free / soy). The beef curry was especially flavorful and on the thicker side which was really went well with the rice. The garlic noodles are also tasty and different than other cultures' variations. They also have a mango pudding for checking in. Just mango pudding with half and half creamer on top, but a free sweet treat is always appreciated. The staff is always so attentive and great at making recommendations. Speedy service and casual ambiance for a nice meal after walking around Golden Gate Park just a few blocks over. Will come back again and again!

I've been to Inle twice now, and both times I thought the food was just okay. Overall I thought every dish could use more flavor - there really wasn't a big punch from like other Burmese restaurants. This recent time I went with a group and we tried a variety of dishes. For starters we tried the tea leaf salad (vegetarian) as well as the coconut noodle soup. The flavors of these two were okay. Out of those two, I enjoyed the tea leaf salad the most. The chicken in the soup tasted like chicken from chicken noodle soup so I really wasn't a fan, but I am picky with chicken. We also tried the garlic noodles along with the eggplant and tofu in a garlic sauce dish. I thought the garlic noodles were kind of dry for my liking. I thought the star of the dinner was the eggplant dish for sure, this one actually had amazing flavor! And would love to try more things in that sauce specifically. I thought the garlic noodles were kind of dry for my liking. Service was fast and kind inside.

The Inner Sunset has lots of Southeast Asian restaurants mostly Thai and Vietnamese food. Southeast Asian dishes from Singapore , Malaysia and Indonesia are offered at Lime Tree Southeast Asian restaurant on Irving. Something was missing when it came to Southeast Asian food in the Sunset . It's seems the Richmond ( the District in San Francisco not the city) has lots of Burmese restaurants concentrated in that part of San Francisco. The Sunset Strip of San Francisco has the one and only brick and mortar Burmese restaurant. Inle Burmese Asian Cuisine is strictly a Burmese ( Myanmar now) restaurant which offers different types of rice and noodle dishes. I used to go to their Noe Valley location ( No longer there). I ordered something differently than I do at other Burmese restaurants. I had the Nan Pya Noodle Salad. It had fish sauce and chicken breast in a tasty red sauce , chickpea bean powder, flat flour noodles , crispy rice noodles, sliced onions, slices of eggs, and some veggies. The noodles were flat but they had a good flavor and sip to them. The overall complex flavor was more on the sour, salty, and smooth side. I also enjoyed seeing inside Inle the Burmese art work on the walls . It's good to have the diverse amount of restaurants in the Inner Sunset these days. It's good to go out into the Sunset and try a different type of cuisine from overseas Inle is changing the Sunset scene in San Francisco with the flavor of Burmese

Inle, is a restaurant that serves Burmese Asian Cuisine. We came here for an early lunch. The dining area is small but adequate and the menu also has some Thai offerings. Our ordering concentrated on Burmese dishes and we got two of them. The Burmese Style Chicken Kabobs was a surprise when it came to the table. There was no classical kabobs, so to speak. Instead, it is a wok tossed diced chicken concoction with onions, tomatoes, jalapeños and chili paste in Burmese curry spices. It came with rice. The chicken portion lacked oomph and we had to add chili flakes to enhance its taste. I was more interested to try the Mohinga, a fish chowder noodle soup, that is touted to be the Burmese national dish. The rich broth contains finely minced fish filet with lemongrass, ginger, onion, garlic, turmeric and fish sauce. The mixture contains rice vermicelli noodles at the bottom of the bowl. It comes with a side serving of cilantro, red onions (small pieces of bread instead), sliced boiled egg, chili flakes and lime. Adding the chili flakes and cilantro heightened the optics, blended the flavors and provided satisfying sips. This was a superb and unique dish. Service was excellent.

Of the 10 or so Burmese places we've tried in the city, I like Inle's tea leaf salad the most so far. I read online that romaine lettuce is not necessarily authentic for some people, but I really like Inle's version. It has a well balanced mix of freshness from the lettuce tomatoes jalapeños, crunch from the seeds peanuts etc., and flavor from the tea leaf salad dressing. The first time we dined here, the server asked if we wanted the fish sauce version or the all vegetarian version. We went for the fish sauce version and have never been asked again by any other server. Interesting. I also like the paratha with coconut curry dip. This dish is best eaten in the restaurant. The paratha is warm, flaky, a little bit greasy, but very satisfying. I've ordered it for delivery and it wasn't as good reheated in the toaster oven. The Inle Golden bags are another great appetizer. I've tried a few entrées like Mohinga, noodle dishes, rice curry dishes and they've all been tasty but it's the tea leaf salad that I like the best. I don't think I'm a great judge of Burmese cuisine yet. To me, Burmese food is overall very close to Thai flavors (some of the menu items are even labeled as "Thai") so think coconut milk, garlic, spices like turmeric, curries, and balance of sweet, sour, savory. They sometimes tone down the spice for clientele by offering chili flakes on the side. We often stop here after a day at Golden Gate Park. The service is usually pretty good. It's a nice location but not necessarily easy to find a parking spot nearby so you may have to park far away, or use public transportation if possible.

The nan gyi noodle salad was delicious! Perfect rice noodle texture. Coconut noodle soup was also worth a try. Chicken curry was tasty as well.

The food here is decent. Perhaps a 3/5 stars. Nothing special and also we didn't get sick so that's always good to consider. However the waitress was rude and unpleasant to be around. We thought it was just us, but we watched her interact with the other table and it was the same. Ironically or maybe not..the place was empty. Ambiance was normal and the best thing about it was the open windows to people watch since there was a street fair going on that day. No planning to return

This place is an easy walk if you're near Golden Gate Park and craving Burmese. We came here because they advertised a patio but we only saw indoor seating. We ordered the coconut curry soup which was good (rich and flavorful) and pad Thai which was ok but would not order again. That's my own fault tho for ordering Thai at a Burmese restaurant. I would absolutely give this place a 4 star review if it were not for the bad service we received. I don't often write reviews like this but the waitress was either having a bad day or just chose to have an attitude with us even tho we were literally the only customers. They offer free mango pudding if you check in on yelp but we never got ours. This place was good for a one time ordeal but probably wouldn't come back. As others have also said, quality of service can definitely improve.

My family and I came in and got seated immediately. Service was alright. We ordered: - Coconut Noodle Soup (3/5) - I would've liked it more if the flavor was stronger but still unique to this place! - Nan Gyi Noodle Salad (3.5) - by far the most interesting dish, I enjoyed the variety of sauce, noodles, and veggies (texturally slayed) - Paratha with Coconut Cury Dip (2/5) - Inle Fried Rice (1/5) I'm not really sure what I ate with this one LOL I would've thought that there would be flavor but nope just straight rice + peas in a wok and called it a day - Mango Pudding (free with Yelp check in!) 1/5 I am glad I did not pay for this Overall, nothing stood out and I thought it could've been better but probably wouldn't go out of my way to go again.

In a city, abounding with Burmese options, Inle is solidly middle of the pack. Here you'll find your standard Burmese options, you'll get solid value but I think places like Burma Love, Burma Superstar, and Mandalay are a notch better for overall flavor and quality.

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and luckily it wasn't too busy! The meals were very filling and the service was great! The Pad Thai was a bit dry but the Pad Kee Mao was very tasty. The servers were super attentive and sweet. Would recommend!

I cannot say I have any expertise in Burmese cuisine but I really enjoyed the flavors, textures and freshness of the food. Having tried the food at Burma Superstar and Mandalay, I would say the food at each place is slightly different but still delicious! The tea leaf salad had more lettuce than I was used to but it blended very well with the other ingredients and was refreshing and satisfying. The pratha was flakey and mouthwatering in the coconut curry dip. The fish soup was soothing and yummy especially after sprinkling the roasted chili flakes on top Looking forward to coming back and trying more of their menu!

We ordered DoorDash and called to see if we could dine in instead ... they said no All the food was bland. I can eat everything I love food. This was sad It just lack everything. Affordable Burmese cuisine located in the heart of the Inner Sunset neighborhood of San Francisco. Inle Burmese Cuisine features a homemade spin on traditional cuisine from the nation of Burma/ Myanmar. Inle Burmese Cuisine replaced the long-standing Patxi's Pizza along Irving Street between 9th and 10th Avenues, as they still have a full working kitchen with a small service window that serves as an outlet to their main dining room, with a backyard patio for extra service if need be. Burmese cuisine in the city of San Francisco can be encapsulated by the franchise that is Burma Superstar, which thanks to their immense popularity has made Burmese cuisine have a real shining moment here in the Bay Area. Thankfully, there are more than just a few restaurants serving authentic Burmese cuisine in the Bay Area so our collective palettes have grown accustomed to the unique flavors of spiciness and savoriness. What brought me a group of six other diners here on a weekday evening was the fact it was a celebratory dinner celebrating one person's birthday in our party and making reservations for our party was very easy to do. Upon check in to Inle Burmese Cuisine on our trusty Yelp app, they offer a complimentary mango pudding dessert for your table, of which we would take advantage of later in our meal. The menu at Inle Burmese Cuisine is separated into categories including Starters, Noodles, Soups, Rice Plates, Sides, Lunch Specials, Dessert and Beverages. Inle Burmese Cuisine considers themselves a restaurant for families, but they don't specialize in family-style cuisine, as our server recommended that we share a few starters and then each order our own entrée to enjoy. We ordered two servings of their signature Tea Leaf Salad which featured romaine lettuce topped with roasted peanuts, fried garlic, fava beans, sesame and sunflower seeds, tomatoes, jalapeños, fish sauce and imported Burmese tea leaf dressing. We also shared two servings of their Paratha with Coconut Curry Dip which was the Burmese version of crispy pancake or a layered bread served with homemade coconut curry dipping sauce. For my entrée, I ordered their Beef Curry which was slow-cooked cubed beef stew served with potatoes, garlic, onion, ginger, chili paste, turmeric and authentic Burmese curry spices. Others in our dining party enjoyed their Pad See Ew with Chicken, Pad Thai with Chicken, Chicken Curry, and their Eggplant with Tofu and Garlic Sauce. A junior member of our party ordered their Chicken Wings, which came four to a plate and the sweet and sour sauce was placed on the side upon request. The highlight of our meal had to have been their Tea Leaf Salad, which had a unique array of flavors and consistencies of all of the combined ingredients that we would definitely recommend ordering this entrée again, as it gave us a true sense of the authentic cuisine that Burma had to offer. Their Paratha starter was a bit of a miss for us as their pancakes were a little too overcooked for our taste. I liked but didn't love my entrée, as I originally had hesitation ordering this dish as it came without many vegetables, and it was a colorless combination as it at the very least tasted decent overall. I think a lot of us were a little disappointed in some of our entrées, as the eggplant and tofu was more stir-fry than anything else and didn't give my fellow diner a true taste of dining my Burma. Since we celebrated a birthday, we brought our own cake to celebrate, but we forewarned that they charge 15 dollars extra for cake cutting, even though they didn't help cut our cake nor did they even provide a sharp knife for cutting. Our complimentary Mango Pudding was a nice afterthought that made our meal complete, which would come to a little under 200 dollars before gratuity was added in, which was decent. It's nice to know that places like Inle Burmese Cuisine can thrive in these challenging times in San Francisco, with honest homemade cultural cuisine that makes sure to stand out.

Warning: lychee drinks may be habit forming. The tea leaf salad and wings are both excellent starters & service is attentive with a chill Sunday dinner vibe. Will likely return to try their paratha & coconut noodle soup

I ordered takeout from Inle and the food traveled really well. The portions were big, and the flavors were still on point when I got home. Definitely recommend the garlic noodles. Price is fair for the quality.

The first restaurant I ever went to when I first moved to the sunset, inle does Burmese about as good as any other Burmese restaurant in SF, but with an added element of homey and family run atmosphere. Inle has easily become a go to meet up spot after a long day of work when craving a simple meal. Definitely worth a visit!

Came for dinner after passing by and thought it was good! Service was very fast and nice, and food was good! Felt like the tea leaf salad had too many peanuts and not enough tea leaf taste

I wish we could go back and eat this meal again. We loved the Paratha with coconut Curry Dip appetizer. Everyone tried the garlic chicken noodles and it was most of our favorites. I personally loved the beef curry. The potatoes were really good. The service was very quick. I was suprised how soon we got our food. The restaurant was clean and cozy. I highly recommend this place.

Perfect place to have lunch, closer to cal academy of science! Food, ambience and staff were great. She provided us with a high chair and was accommodative of food request for our picky eater toddler. Definitely recommend this place.

Service was amazing. No wait and plenty of seating. Hostess and waitress were really sweet. Business picked up as we were leaving. Ambiance was nice, atmosphere was solid and they had TVs with the Giants on. Food was great! Aside from one dish. I had the garlic noodles. They were fantastic, cooked perfectly and plenty of flavor. The starters were great too. However my partners dish in the photo, chicken and rice? Was extremely bland. It was kind of offensive given how delicious everything was (but I don't want to knock it cause it came with a bottle of Sriracha and I think it was meant to poured all over ha. Overall recommend.

After our walk in Twin Peaks we were hungry and I had a hankering for tea leaf salad. I love the one at Mandalay & Burma Superstar but wanted to check out a new place. The inside is attractive & clean. There is a cute patio for outdoor seating as well. All 3 of us ordered from the lunch special as it included egg rolls and was actually less than the a la carte price. At other restaurants , the tea leaf salad has been prepared in front of me which I much prefer. The salad was served already prepared here. It was quite tasty- maybe a tad too much dressing yet good. My friends ordered the Garlic Noodles and the Pad Thai and said their dishes were excellent. We all agreed we'd like to come back here.

Portion sizes are huge and the food is quite decent! We went on a Saturday afternoon and there was almost no wait. Food: 4/5. The price justifies the quantity of food they give. Quality-wise, it was decently delicious. Garlic noodle: love how garlicky it is! The noodles are thin and their braised chicken is so flavorful. Vietnamese coffee: sweet condensed milk with the strong Vietnamese coffee are an amazing combo. I like my coffee to be on the sweet side and this does it for me! Vibes: 4/5. From the plates and cups to the drinks, everything is so aesthetically pleasing! This restaurant gives a cute brunch vibes. Pro-tip: for parties greater than 6, they charge around a 25% service+gratuity fee.

We love Burmese food and stopped by to give Inle a try. Pretty busy for a Tuesday night. Staff were friendly and attentive. Menu appears to have a mix of Burmese and Thai foods. After reading some reviews, we decided on the following: 1) Tea leaf salad - Be careful if there's a nut allergy as this dish has peanuts. Overall, the flavor was good, although I would've liked just a little more of the fermented tea leaves (?) added to enhance the flavor a tad more. 2) Samosa soup - Had to fight kiddo to share this one. Very flavorful and probably my fave dish. 3) Nan Pya Noodle salad - The flavors were good, just wished there was more sauce. 4) Eggplant and tofu w/ coconut rice - The coconut rice was so yummy, especially with the sauce! Seems like a small portion, but it was filling. 5) Chocolate Lava cake - Hubs loves chocolate lave cake, so had to get this. I didn't try it, but hubs wasn't too impressed. He said there was no lava and it was just a chocolate cake - meh. 6) Cassava cake - Cake is served warm and great paired with the ice cream. We enjoyed our dinner and glad we can find Burmese food closer to our area. We'd return to try other menu items.

I bookmarked this spot to try when they were operating on Church in Noe Valley, but then I was getting off the N-Judah at 9th Avenue and saw it on Irving next to QingShu. I found out later they had moved presumably because there is more foot traffic here, at least the type of feet that would walk in for a casual Burmese meal before traipsing in Golden Gate Park. I must have those kind of feet since I came here before visiting the Botanical Gardens. I'm rather predictable when it comes to Burmese cuisine because I ordered the $16 Tea Leaf Salad. There was no dynamic table-side show with acrobatic choreography and dancing utensils. It just came out fully prepared with roasted peanuts, fried garlic, and fava beans.
