"This Korean barbecue option in the university area is bright, spacious, and hits the spot with tables equipped with grills.  On the pricier side, starting at $35, choose from an all-you-can-eat range of meats like brisket, beef tongue, and pork belly, but also from marinated bulgogi and spicy or curry pork belly, along with traditional Korean spicy rice cakes, radishes, pickled veggies, dumplings, kimchi, and soups.  A premium menu at $60 offers finer steak cuts like ribeye, filet, and wagyu steak, more seafood options like scallops, additional sides like fishcakes and cold noodles, and Melona pop desserts." - Shindy Chen

Visited here while seeing family. Our group was around 12 people and they accommodated us fairly quickly. Wait was around 35 minutes and it was a Friday night. Service was exceptional and the food quality was great! Everything tasted well seasoned and the staff was quick to change the grill plate out when we needed it. We've been back several times before and each time has been wonderful. Highly recommend this place if you have a hungry group!

My girlfriend and I were craving some grilled food on a rainy day and decided to try this Korean BBQ spot we randomly found on Google Maps. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the hype — this place is seriously overrated. The video is the second table we got...... 1. Leaky Roof Woes – No matter where we sat, rainwater managed to drip dangerously close to our table. I guess the rain loves wagyu as much as we do. The setup was uncomfortable and not what you'd expect from a restaurant that charges premium prices. 2. Dessert Disappointment – When I inquired about dessert (since it was part of the menu), I was told there was none left. I politely asked if there was a replacement or alternative, but the manager offered no solution — not even a simple direct apology. 3. Unprofessional Management – My interaction with the manager was frustrating. His only response to my concerns was, “What do you mean?” He deflected blame for the leak onto the property management company, yet neighboring businesses don’t seem to have the same issue. Whether it’s unwillingness to fix the problem or a lack of customer service training, the experience left a sour taste. 4. Shoutout to Our Server – On a brighter note, our server (whose name I sadly didn’t catch) was incredibly kind and patient. She took the time to explain the situation and did her best to make us feel comfortable. Her professionalism stood out in an otherwise disappointing visit. Hopefully, the owners take feedback like this seriously and make some much-needed improvements.

Here are the drawbacks: 1. Someone or some people should complete a deep clean that includes wiping the walls, dusting, washing the walls. 2. Call the listed number and you won't get through. I mentioned it at the door and they shrugged like "yeah we know" and nothing else. 3. $60/pp on premium yet they cite the tariffs as the reason for not one dessért item being available. Ok, cool ...then lower the price. I mean doesn't have to be half but $5-8/off per person. 4. I don't like the cut for the salmon. What works:. 1) The menu option including the dumplings and offered salad. 2) Scallops. They are not U16 but grateful they are not the little day boat scallops. 3) Good size lobster tail 4) deveined tiger shrimps 5) identifying eating categories for gluten, allergens, et al. Hope they'll offer longer operating hours even for the weekend .. open at 12 or 2p. Hope they'll start to take tap and pay (e.g. Google wallet) Hope they start to answer the phone or figure out the line issue. Our server was really sweet. The runners were great. Parking is tough in this center so we'll walk as the sidewalk goes to the shopping center. I can't imagine how parking. Will work once Aldi's open June 2025. I'd recommend and warn you about the cleaning that needs to take place. I didn't feel rushed with the 2 hours and I abhor timed eating but you'll be satiated well before 1 hour. P.S. they have real butter and not margarine. So kudos for sure.

The amount of times we've been here is freaking crazy. We've only found out about this restaurant about 2 months ago and we've been here 5 times. Got ourselves sick and tired of KBBQ for a little bit lols They will not let you sit without your full party so make sure let your late comer friends know to come early otherwise you might hate each other for the rest of the night. If you go on a Saturday night, expect full seats, delayed food/drinks but thats expected. Otherwise, the rest of the week has fast service. Depending on your pallet, their marinade meats can either be too salty or not seasoned enough, but for us, obviously its the best freaking bulgogi in CLT Try the corn cheese. 10/10 If you like thicc pork belly cuts, this is the place. The sides are kinda limited but still tasty! Yes, you can ask for extra tongs. If you like margaritas and sour drinks, the yuzu margarita is 10/10. It could be strong for some so let the server know if you need more of juice than alcohol. But for us its just perfect. The Yuzu berry is more "juice" and its a bit "fragrant/perfumey".

Trendy Korean barbecue restaurant in the University area. Cook your own food at your table. Unique decor, like a semi industrial theme. Great spot to celebrate.

I’ve never really left some bad reviews or stars on restaurants, but the thing is, the stove takes FOREVER to cook. It was such a pretty big turn off for us since we were fasting for like 13 hours (like actual fasting no water no food) and we expected better than that 😭. We’ve never really had that slow cook from AYCE bbq everywhere around the world (not trying to exaggerate, I just love AYCE bbq and have tried from other countries too). Another thing is, we could only order 3 choices/order. Well… with the slow burner, it really just made us lost our appetite. My husband was literally unsatisfied, but don’t get me wrong, the food was good. He liked the spicy bulgogi and I liked the beef chunks.

Came on a Saturday and the place was packed. I had to wait 20 minutes to eat, but since it wasn't my first time I knew the wait was worthy. Although the place was full the food came quick and the service was good. Love all side dishes and my favorite meats are the marinated ones.
