"There are plenty of mediocre restaurants in the Magic Kingdom that are worth visiting just for the atmosphere or the fireworks views. Jungle Navigation Co. is the rare place that’s beautifully themed and has some of the best food in this park. Whatever sustainable fish they have is a great choice for a protein-heavy meal, which you’ll need after logging 10,000 steps running around to make the most out of your Lightning Lanes. We also love the falafel or curried vegetable stew for some vegetarian options, which can be hard to find in this park. " - carina finn koeppicus, anne cruz

I just discovered this restaurant and I’m so glad I did! The ambiance was incredible, and the service was absolutely fantastic. And let me tell you about the food - it was absolutely delicious! I wasn't very hungry, so I decided to order a tuna appetizer and it was a delightful surprise! The stew was also tasty and generous in portion size - it was like dining at a 3-star restaurant. The price was also quite reasonable for the quality of the food. The decor was also very fun and inviting. I personally think this place is a much better choice than those quick-service restaurants that serve burgers and fries. Oh kids meal looked so great and it comes with a drink and dessert. Yum!

Google
I've dined at Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen three times now, and each visit has been consistently excellent. The service has always been outstanding—friendly, attentive, and in true Jungle Cruise spirit. My most recent visit was over Mother’s Day weekend, and the meal absolutely blew me away. I started with the soup of the day: a Green Curry & Pea Soup with Shrimp that was so good I was tempted to lick the bowl clean. The Brazilian Cheese Bread was warm, cheesy perfection—an ideal appetizer to share (or not!). For entrees, I tried the Fish of the Day, which came beautifully cooked and paired with a Berbere-spiced Black-eyed Pea Stew and a flavorful Kenyan Tomato-Onion Relish. The combination of spices and textures was unforgettable. I also sampled the Mess Hall Duck Fried Rice—rich, satisfying, and bursting with flavor. I’ve seen some surprisingly low reviews, and honestly, I don’t get it. Sure, the menu may not cater to everyone's usual park fare cravings, but that’s exactly what makes Skipper Canteen special. It’s bold, globally inspired, and refreshingly different. If you’re open to adventurous flavors, this place delivers in spades. Personally, I'd rate it closer to 4.7 stars than the 4.2 it currently holds. Highly recommend for anyone ready to step out of the theme park food comfort zone and into something truly delicious.

Google
This restaurant features the humor and aesthetic of the Jungle Cruise, but in the format of a sit down restaurant. If you enjoy skipper humor, you'll likely be amused by the jokes made by the staff here. The food itself is good, but I can't say I've ever had anything here that was outstanding. The entertainment and theme are certainly the big draw. There are plenty of days when they have same day reservations available or they open the wait list, so it's not a bad option if you're making some last minute plans.

Google
Really great atmosphere and fast service. The food on the menu looked fairly similar but the actual flavors were completely different. Perfect for dinner after a long day of Disney. Definitely order the cheese bread, it's not on the menu but it's not to be missed.

Google
The worse experience I have ever had at a Disney Restaurant. It seemed to be down to poor management. The food was tasty although not as warm as it should be. The problem was the service, especially in terms of time. It was 2 hours from check in to food arriving. It’s difficult to understand why, there were more serving staff than customers, many empty tables despite many people being turned away because they were “fully booked”. The usual cheesy jokes fall a bit short when you’re hangry. I always like to reward good service but this fell way short and we were charged full service even though we specified otherwise. I recommend you go elsewhere

Google
We had a really delicious meal here. The duck fried rice and the lomo saltado were great, as were the falafel balls as an appetizer. For context: we've visited Magic Kingdom probably 5 times across the last decade and this was the best meal quality we've experienced in any prior dining experience at a Disney park. It does feel like Disney has upped it's game on meal quality and I think the prices were quite reasonable. Didn't feel like we were being gouged. Others may feel differently but that's my take. Service was solid, friendly and fast. Appreciated that given it was nice to be able to stop in and eat and then bounce for more attractions. Would definitely come here again.

Google
To say I liked it is an understatement. We arrived at our reservation time and were apologized for being a bit delayed, about 20 minutes. However, they called us back within 10 minutes. Once inside, the waitress's service was excellent, and the dishes are exquisite. It's absolutely worth making a reservation here. Now I'm afraid to go to Magic Kingdom, eat at another restaurant, and find out it won't meet my expectations, since this place set them too high.

Google
I dined at Skippers Canteen for the first time recently and I can only highly recommend it. Our waiter was awesome, the food hit the spot, and the restaurant itself was a fun environment. The food was very well done and tasted great. You can tell your food isn’t a Cisco type meal replicated easily anywhere else in Disney and prepared by a kitchen staff in house. The pork chop and skirt steak were amazing.

Yelp
It was truly wonderful, yes we waited for a bit even with a reservation but the server made it up. The food was delicious, truly. I was on the meal plan and it just gave the experience a whole different fee. The restaurant was truly perfect, from the obvious things to the smallest details, it was beautiful. After we finished we got a quick ride to the Jingle cruise (the jungle cruise for the holidays), but the server made it the best. 5 stars- Robbert deserves a raise

Yelp
I'll be honest and say I wasn't expecting much but this was delicious. The inside is very nicely decorated and you definitely don't feel like you're in the middle of a theme park. Our waitress was very nice, helpful and immediately asked if we had any allergies which is very much appreciated. The food was so good. We ordered the Brazilian cheese bread, Nile Nellie's noodle bowl, signature grilled steak and the kid's grilled steak with fruit (also came with a dessert). I will 100% be going back at my next visit to Florida!

Clèm B.

Yelp
A nice and tasty sit-down restaurant in Magic Kingdom with an original and flavorful menu. The atmosphere and decoration are great, reflex very well the jungle cruise ride Service was great, our waitress was kind and knowledgeable. It was efficient The food was tasty and the portion was perfect The duck fried rice was great and the must to try are their pao de queso. Definitely recommend it

Yelp
Skippers Canteen in Magic Kingdom promises adventurous flavors and an immersive experience, but it falls short in delivering a truly standout meal. The Food: Let's start with the highlight: Pao De Queijo (brazilian cheese bread). Light and pillowy bites of bread with a delicious cheese flavor and paired with a chimichurri that I could inhale. It's the kind of appetizer that sets high expectations for the rest of the meal. Unfortunately, those expectations were not met. The menu leans into "adventurous" territory, which is great if you're not a picky eater. However, as with most dining experiences in Magic Kingdom, the flavors feel somewhat muted--daring, but only on paper. Think "safe for the masses" rather than truly bold. It's a shame because you can tell they've tried to offer something unique, but it's as if Disney's signature crowd-pleasing tendencies poured a bucket of lukewarm water over the spice rack. Drinks: The alcoholic beverages are... meh. They're sugary, weak, and feel more like a carnival cocktail than a crafted drink. If you're hoping for a strong adult beverage after a day of lines and strollers, this isn't it. Ambiance and Service: Skippers Canteen's theme is rooted in the quirky world of the Jungle Cruise, and while the decor and jokes from the servers attempt to carry the vibe, it doesn't feel fully fleshed out. The theming feels like it's holding back, which is disappointing because the Jungle Cruise concept offers so much potential. Where's the over-the-top whimsy? The interactive elements? Yak and Yeti, over in Animal Kingdom, manages to feel more immersive while still offering a flavorful menu. That said, shoutout to our server, who delivered some solid dad jokes that kept the mood light and fun. The staff is clearly trying, and they deserve credit for adding a bit of charm to the experience. The Magic Kingdom Problem: Here's the thing: being in Magic Kingdom is both the restaurant's blessing and its curse. It's the best table-service option you're going to find in this park, but that's not exactly a high bar. Compared to the vast array of dining options in Orlando, it feels like a missed opportunity. TL;DR: If you're comparing it solely to other options in Magic Kingdom, Skippers Canteen earns a solid 5/5. But if you're rating it as a restaurant in Orlando's competitive dining scene? A middling 3/5. Pro tip: Go for the cheese bread, stay for the jokes, and manage your expectations for the rest. If you're willing to hop parks, Yak and Yeti is worth the trip for better theming and flavors.

Yelp
We had a lovely meal here! Service was excellent and food was good for the price. Would recommend many dishes, and the food quality is excellent.

Yelp
This is a weird place - I've seen plenty of good reviews, but for some reason my experience was far short of expectations. Maybe it's because the cuisine was a bit off for me, the food felt like a weird mix of fusion and the chicken dishes I ordered were just so-so. It tasted neither here nor there and the rice was pretty bland. It was suggested to us as a popular option but I'm not sure why to be honest. It was fairly crowded when we got there but luckily the restaurant is gigantic and located relatively close to the center of the park near the outskirts of Adventureland. The one thing I really also noticed was just how tiny the bathrooms were in this restaurant. I've actually never been to a place with so many seats and such a small restroom setup, it was kind of surreal Generally speaking I wouldn't recommend coming here, but that's just based on the food I had, maybe next time I'll try something else that might taste better.

Chad M.

Yelp
Once we got past the goofy jokes from the waitress to start we were thoroughly impressed by the meal. Tucked into Adventureland you'd walk by and never know it was there. But when food stand food is expensive and you're looking at $25-30pp for a lunch anyway, you can get beers, apps and entrees and get out for under $100 here. We did the salad and cachapas (must get dish!) for our starters and then I got the duck fried rice and my wife got the curry dish. Both were very generous portions that we struggled to finish. Hidden gem in the park. Make sure to get a reservation though.

Yiqiu W.

Yelp
The food is great and the experience is fun. The secret cheese bread and the skirt steak are very tasty. Our waitress often cracks jokes of the food or anything which makes the dining quite fun.

Frances B.

Yelp
This sit down restaurant requires reservations and ours was honored when we arrived so we only waited a couple minutes in the outdoor attractive gazebo type lobby. We were brought to a lovely table next to a stained glass window. The service involves lots of jungle themed jokes so the host apologized for the stains in the glass and told us our server would be around within a few weeks. The casual joke-y vibe put us right at home with some good laughter. It felt full of people but not crowded and not too loud. We were told about the secret menu having the cheese bread which seems not so secret. We ordered the cheese bread and it lived up to the hype. Soft, cheesy, and easy to fill up before the food even arrived. The soup of the day was pumpkin-peanut which was also quite good especially with the added chopped peanuts on top. I liked my meal but was getting tired of every place I'd tried at Disney that served tofu, always breading and deep frying it. I like that but sometimes I just want tofu. My husband loved it. The coconut rice was delicious but too creamy for me. My husband got the fried chicken which he loved but the side was quite spicy. His Jasmin rice was excellent

Daniel P.

Yelp
Keep in mind this is theme park food... that being said I was shocked at this whole meal. The food was fine, Magic Kingdom keeps their meals pretty tame but it's enjoyable. I think the service and the dessert was what really blew me away. It was a mango dessert of some sort that had beautiful presentation like that of a fine dining restaurant. It tasted FANTASTIC. We went for a birthday and it was a great time. I would recommend this place over other sit down in MK and make sure you get the pan de queso I was told it was on the (secret-not so secret menu).

Yelp
The food here is delicious, the service is exceptional, and the ambiance of this restaurant is awesome! I'm so glad that I finally had a chance to eat at Jungle Navigation with my husband on our latest Disney World trip in June! I was in awe at how big and beautiful the restaurant was! The check-in process was a breeze! We were signed into our Walt Disney World mobile application and checked into the reservation. We let the team know that we were there and ready for our dining time! We had seating in a room, relatively close to the bathrooms. The service was amazing! The team member helping our table was constantly following up, asking if we needed refills on drinks, asking about how our food tasted! Jungle Navigation Skipper Canteen offers a wide variety of African, Asian, and Latin foods! Current dining hours are the following Lunch: 11:00 A.M - 2:55 P.M ($15.00 - $34.99 per adult) Dinner: 3:00 P.M - 9:00 P.M ($15.00 - $34.99 per adult) Dining plans and discounts are accepted here! This restaurant is themed after the Jungle Cruise! There are several different rooms available from the Colonial Mess Hall, the Jungle Room, and Dr. Albert Falls room, and the S.E.A Room! We had ordered the following Falls Family Falafel: Chickpeas, Garlic, Onions, Lemon Juice, and Herbs with house-made Edamame Hummus and Toasted Pumpkin Seeds ($12.00) Dr. Falls Signature Grilled Steak: Hanger Steak with roasted peppers, onions, tomatoes, and Aioli. ($38.00) Secret menu: Brazilian Cheese Bread The food was delicious! My favorite was the Brazilian Cheese Bread. It was so soft and warm! The sauce that was with it reminded me of a cream cheese that you would dip the bread in! I had a bite of the grilled steak. The steak was yummy, too! The Falafel was good, especially mixed with the Edamame hummus! This dish could easily be shared with multiple family members and friends! This is probably one of the best restaurants I've eaten at within Magic Kingdom! The service was outstanding, and the restaurant theme is really cool!

Reanne Z.

Yelp
Heard good things about Skipper's Canteen and it didn't disappoint! Made reservations for dinner and we were seated promptly. We didn't get any of the appetizers, but the entrees we had were the best of the whole trip! We tried the lamp chops and the grilled steak - the meat was tender and the flavor was great! Would definitely say that the seasoning on these entrees was the best out of all the restaurants we had on the trip!

Vanessa H.

Yelp
Nicely decorated, large establishment, and great food! We came here for an early dinner at Magic Kingdom and got seated very quickly. Our waitress, Lana, was incredible! She was so joyous, enthusiastic, and made us all laugh with her jokes and comments. She was so so lovely. The menu was pretty small, so we started off with their falafels and cachapas which were delicious! The falafels were a bit mild in flavor, but were plated very nicely. The cachapas were so good! Would get those again. Then for entrees, we opted for the grilled steak, "tastes like chicken", noodle bowl, and the sustainable fish. The fish was my choice, and it did not disappoint. It was very light and tender tasting, and it came with a lemony broth that I wasn't used to seeing with fish. But the tastes complemented each other very well, and the broth was super tasty. It also came with boiled veggies which are never bad. The grilled steak was pretty good as well, and it came with a nice aioli sauce. Unfortunately, the grilled chicken was really dry and lacked a ton of flavor, which was a disappointment. The noodle bowl was ok, but the noodles were quite sour tasting which I didn't enjoy. Anyways, it was a good quick meal at Disney Magic Kingdom. I loved the fish, but stay away from the dry chicken and maybe the noodle bowl.

Truc P.

Yelp
One of the best food places in magic kingdom. We loved the shrimp noodles.SOOOO GOOD and the shrimp are huge! You will be full. We also enjoyed the not so secret menu. The dip was AMAZING! Overall, definitely come here for good food even tho its a bit pricy. Service here was kinda slow but they crack jokes here and there so youll definitely get a laugh out of it. The decor was also super cute and well themed

Christina G.

Yelp
Limited menu, but pretty good for what they have. Honestly, the kids menu was my favorite part. One of my son's has gotten into steak and they have a kid's steak. The other isn't an adventurous eater and they had what amounted to chicken tenders and fries (fries aren't on the menu, but they have them.) My husband also enjoyed his tastes like chicken because it is. I just really couldn't find a dish I wanted. Yes, I even looked ahead of time, but nothing really appealed to me. I ended up getting the Brazilian cheese bread appetizer, which I found too heavy. I love Brazilian cheese bread and get it from our local Texas de Brazil and even from Costco and Trader Joe's. This one just missed the mark for me. The kids liked it though. Then I got the falafel, which was also ok, but not fantastic. I was really impressed with the kids meals. My son enjoyed the steak and I got him double dessert of cake and chocolate covered bananas. They put something else in the chocolate coating of the banana so it was a little more gooey than I expected. It ended up not being a fan favorite so next time I should get them different sides. My son did love his fries. So why the four stars? I loved the atmosphere and the waiter. They have a lot of dad jokes here. I felt for our waiter, because my older son is five so the jokes went right over his head. Like what do you call a person who cares for chickens? A chicken tender. She even tried to explain it to my son who still stared at her blankly. Even with a 2:30 reservation which is not a prime eating time, there was a wait. We checked in at 2:10 which was the earliest we could check in and was seated around 2:35. I heard others asking how long the wait was who had reservations earlier than us, so I think even if we checked in at 2:30 we would have been waiting longer. There are some seats inside if you want to wait in air conditioning, but outside honestly wasn't that bad (and it was super hot the day we went.) They definitely have more unique menu items. My husband is allergic to coconuts and pistachios and normally nothing has that in Disney restaurants, but here he couldn't eat the kids dessert (had pistachios). Therefore, if you want a more unique meal, come here, otherwise check the menu first before deciding if it's worth it to you.

Yelp
It's a tasty lunch or dinner option that is located near the Jungle Cruise attraction in Adventureland. It's appropriated themed to a jungle safari. The actual name of the restaurant is Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen. The cuisine is a fusion of African, Asian, and South American. It's somewhat priced better than most full-service dining restaurants in the Magic Kingdom. It all depends on what you order. The tables seem to be more spaced out, and the atmosphere is kind of cool. The service was great. Be sure to make a reservation if you're set on a specific time of day. Most of the early dinner time slots were already filled up the night before our visit. I started the meal with the Enchanted Orange Dream. It's orange Dole Whip blended with vanilla soft serve ice cream. Yep, it's basically a frozen orange creamsicle beverage. We didn't get any appetizers. I know the cheese bread is popular, but you can get that anywhere. They look like Brazi Bites. Ever heard of them? Also, I think the menu changes seasonally. I didn't see any of the Asian inspired appetizer items that they've had in the past. We just went straight to the entrée. The Dr. Fall's Signature Grilled Steak was calling our name. It took a while for the food to come out of the kitchen. Our cast member made sure to let us know that he'd bring it out as soon as it's ready. It was very good once we received it. The French fried part of it was kind of weird. It's Lomo Saltado style. The fries didn't taste that great. However, we really liked the roasted peppers and yellow chili pepper aioli sauce. It added a lot to the hanger steak. The steak was marinated in something similar to teriyaki, but not as sweet (thankfully). It was more savory. It had more of a smoky taste. It was good. Overall, everything was good. The service was great! I'd like to go back one day and try the sustainable fish with the ginger & lemon grass broth. Check it out if you happen to be near the Jungle Cruise.

Emily N.

Yelp
Pretty expensive, but very healthy and sustainable. Good presentation. Got a table even though I didn't have a reservation. They have a dole whip drink which was really good too. Servers are attentive

Christina H.

Yelp
After a long day of walking around DisneyWorld we picked this place for lunch. And what an amazing find! The jungle green salad was amazing. I got the dressing on the side which I preferred. Then we got the Orinoco Idas Cachapas which was a very flavorful pork on this potato pancakes. Delicious! And we also shared the Nile Nellies noodle bowl with shrimp. Oh so good. Lots of flavor. Our server, Valerie, made us feel welcome and had great suggestions! Will come back for sure!

Alysha W.

Yelp
Skipper canteen comes and goes as being some place I like. Overall it's not bad but they changed the noodle dish recently making it so I would have to modify it so much it just becomes noodles and sauce so this time I got the curry. It was fine but nothing spectacular. My mom got the fish which she really enjoyed.

Hristos K.

Yelp
Magic Kingdom doesn't have great choices if you want to dine indoors, but this is definitely one. You often have to plan ahead and make a reservation very early on especially if your party is 4 or more, not you may be able to find the occasional walk in opening, but if you are ginger and told that it's a 40+ minute Wait, then you might as well go have chicken and waffles next for. But when you do plan ahead, it's always a great experience. We have been there a few times and the food is always great. You have to be a bit more picky with the dessert as some options are just ok and when you want to indulge yourself with a dessert, you want to feel it was worth the cheat day. So I would recommend the African chocolate cake for that. As for main dishes, the pork is my favorite but I also like the lamb chops and have not been disappointed with their other dishes I've had there. Just that the lamb chops in Greece are difficult to compete with :p The service is great and sometimes its just a chuckle you get, other times a lot of laughs. Depends on the day. I would recommend this place and plan to go there many more times.

Charissa H.

Yelp
Best restaurant at Disney! Seriously. The food is outstanding, and the desserts are Michelin star level. This was by far my favorite meal, and nothing else could compare. Prices are very reasonable for the high quality of food. Dr. Falls Signature Grilled Steak - $38 - Marinated Hanger Steak Lomo Saltado-style with Roasted Peppers, Onions, Tomatoes, and Aji Amarillo Aïoli - Absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked steak, and the sauce was to die for. I happily ate every bite. No diminishing returns here. 5/5 stars. "Tastes like Chicken" Because it is! - $28 - Crispy-fried Chicken with Chili-Soy Glaze, Jasmine Rice, and Pickled Vegetable Slaw - This was a close second to my steak dish. Chicken was delicious with a light panko japanese style of frying. The sauce was the highlight, and it could have been doubled to cover everything. 5/5 stars. Coconut Bar with Pineapple-Basil Compote and Vanilla Cream - $9 - Vanilla Chiffon Cake with Coconut and Lime-White Chocolate Ganache - At first bite you're thinking how good could this possibly be? The answer is better than you could imagine. Give me an entire cake of this. It surprises you and delights you in every bite. 5/5 stars. Mango Float - $9 - Kalamansi Namelaka, Mango Crémeux, House-made Graham Cracker - Let me translate this for you: it's creamy mango crack. I only wish there were two pieces of graham crackers. It's so good. 5/5 stars. Kungaloosh! - $9.50 - An African-inspired Chocolate Cake with Caramelized Bananas served with Cashew-Caramel Ice Cream topped with Coffee Dust - So their description didn't sound great to me, but after trying the first two desserts, we decided to try this one too. I don't know what makes it African inspired, but it's my new favorite chocolate cake. I didn't really taste the coffee flavor, but I prefer it that way. Usually, coffee just overpowers the dessert. This is worth trying too. 5/5 stars. I recommend trying those three desserts. I know it may seem a lot, but you'll never taste better desserts anywhere in Disney. The only dessert that came close was at Satu'li Canteen the Metkayina Mousse. I read some reviews that waiters were trying to make dad jokes, but our waiter didn't do that at all. I guess it was because it was just me and the husband, but I do enjoy dad jokes. Neverless, he was still a decent waiter. If you don't make a reservation beforehand, just do a walk up wait list. We did that and waited an hour on a Wednesday night. That probably won't work on a weekend, so plan ahead! This should be your must go restaurant. This place is the best.

Babette C.

Yelp
One of our favorite things to do on our first trip to the Magic Kingdom. This was a must because we'd heard such good things about it. The Disney Food Blog recommended that you request dining in the Jungle room or the library which definitely are beautiful, but they told us it would ne a half hour wait and we had things to do, so we went to the large dining room and that was perfectly fine. Ordered the char sui pork and it was a bit salty and saucey for me. My sister ordered the Falls Grilled Steak and that stuff is so good, you want to punch someone in the face with how good it is. Our cast member Christina split up an orange dream specialty drink into two cups since one would have been a sugar nightmare for both of us, but it was great to have it portioned out to share. It goes without saying it's nice to sit somewhere fun in the air conditioning, eating some banger food.

Charlie D.

Yelp
For a restaurant in a theme park, this was a really good one. Very much jungle cruise themed complete with all the corny one liners. But what really count was the food and it was excellent. Had the hanger steak and it was cooked perfectly. My daughters had the pork and chicken and they both enjoyed their meals. You must reserve in advance or you will not get in, but I recommend you do to take a break from the theme park fast food and have a nice sit down meal.

Joi B.

Yelp
My first time eating here. Theming is cute, not excessive nor immersive but a little too bright in there for my liking. We had a longish wait despite a reservation and service wasn't the greatest after that. Something just seemed off around us- one guy kind of exploded because he was trying to fit in dinner before fireworks and he ended up storming out. I'm definitely not condoning that behavior but Disney rage is something to behold... Plant based option is a curried vegetable stew and this has to be the most flavorless vegetable stew that I've ever had. Where was the curry? I've found that the Magic Kingdom offers restaurants that have good theming and not-so-good food. This is a generalization and Skipper Canteen is not an exception, unfortunately (and the theming isn't as special as Be Our Guest or Cinderella's Table). I left with a note for next time: leave the park and head to one of the resorts for dinner.

Yelp
The food was great and the server knew the menu well. The "It taste Like Chicken" dish was amazing. Highly recommend. The desserts were beautiful but not the best I have ever eaten. The experience, food, drinks and price are definitely a 5 star.

Yelp
My friend GirlWithAllergies and I went here. Oh. My. Goodness! We went sans husbands, boyfriends, girlfriends or children. The decor is in true Disney fashion, completely and totally on point! There is nothing left undone. We told our server of our allergies, he guided us all through the menu, with ease. He also had the most amazing family-friendly dad jokes, which GirlWithAllergies LOVED!! He was a professional, courteous and fabulous server. We even made a wager with him (the wager was a glass of water), which he lost. Later in the day, we came back to collect the "wager" and they were more then happy to "pay the wager" (while we sipped our cool water in the AC on a blistering HOT day). It was so fun. Customer service, 5-star gold standard all the way! Let's talk food. I will tell you. I savored every single bite. I will also tell you this surprised me greatly. We had the off menu, cheese bread. You should get this. Totally Yummy!!! I had the curried veggie crew stew, which was just lovely. The coconut rice, was the perfect touch! GirlWithAllergies had the shrimp, which she adored, as I have allergies to shrimp, we will take her word for it, when she sys she would order it again, and she would recommend it to a friend. They also have beer, wine and specialty cocktails, should that strike your fancy. (and AC!) Or you can dive into the Enchanted Orange Dream, like GirlWithAllergies did :) A nice cooling beve on a super hot day. Did I mention they have AC and are not afraid to use it and turn it on high! Reservations are recommended.

Yelp
Absolutely recommend. Exquisite food at a reasonable price for what it is at Disney! Have gone twice and hasn't disappointed. Everything I've tried has been packed with flavor. Def don't want to sit on this!

Yelp
This is a really fun restaurant! The theming is so fun with all of the things the skippers have collected on their travels. There are several different rooms that you could be sat in. Loved that the servers were so similar to the Jungle Cruise skippers with their "pun-ny" jokes! So fun! The food and drinks were good. I got a red sangria and the tastes like chicken entree. Both were good, but not exceptional. The "secret menu" item - Pao de Queijo (cheese bread with chimichurri) was the stand-out of the meal and I forgot to take a photo of it!

Yelp
OMG- our new favorite table service in Magic Kingdom!!! This restaurant has some great Jungle Cruise theming, along with the punny-humor service you know and love from the ride. Also, as a couple of Disney adults, this is one of the only places you can get a beer in Magic Kingdom; so a win-win! The food here is INCREDIBLE. I will say, it is more of an eclectic menu that may not be aligned with picky eaters, but for those with adventurous spirits and palettes, the food here is unmatched (especially for Magic Kingdom). You HAVE to start out with the "not-so-secret" menu Brazilian cheesy bread (pão de queijo). It was delicious! We also tried the falafel, shrimp fried rice, and char siu pork and they were all fantastic. So flavorful, the perfect amount of spice. Overall- a 10/10 dining experience, especially for a long day at Magic Kingdom so you can relax, recharge, and imbibe a bit before heading back to the action.

Yelp
1/8/25 Great dining experience- the shrimp and noodles bowl fantastic as was the service and decor- Definitely a standout in Magic Kingdom.

Yelp
Skipper Canteen used to be my go-to at Magic Kingdom because: (i) it was one of the few places that served alcoholic beverages back in the day; (ii) was relatively easy to get reservations at; and (iii) was quiet, with mostly adult patrons, and served as a much needed respite and recharge before heading back into the madness; While the former is no longer true, the latter two still hold. Skipper Canteen remains one of the hidden gems at MK. It's off the radar in terms of notoriety and also is literally pretty physically hidden in Adventureland. If you aren't looking for it, you'll walk right past it. In terms of food....it's fine. The menu is mostly Thai/Asian and similar to what you would get at any local neighbourhood spot. Which means for MK food, it's pretty good! Prices are high but not crazy and the extra few bucks you are paying for eating a non-hockey puck burger listening to screaming children makes up for it. I tend to lean toward the appetizers here because it's hard for me to eat heavy in 90 degree heat and would definitely recommend the well-plated falafel dish and the not-so-secret menu cheese bread. Tip: Ask for a table in one of the two back rooms. They are smaller and quieter as well as better themed. And if you have a little one in a stroller, it's a great place for them to take a nap. Also (which I didn't realize the first time I went here) the waiters here speak like the cast members on the Jungle Cruise Ride. Think puns, one-liners, dad jokes, all that. It's cute but if you don't realize this ahead of time you may be scratching your head at your waiter's extraness.

Yelp
After a full day my family and I stopped at Skipper's Canteen. I had done my research, so I knew all about the secret menu and we started with the fried cheese ball appetizer. It was so good and the pesto, cheesy sauce under it was so delicious. My husband kept joking he was going to lick the plate!!

Yelp
We made a reservation here for our Magic Kingdom day and ended up arriving 30 minutes late in the middle of a Florida downpour but the cast members here were understanding and accommodating and honored our reservation. Robert was our efficient and amusing server. The food here is very different than standard Disney with a menu of surprising dishes inspired by African, Asian, and Latin cuisine. Probably the one of the most unique on Disney property. The theming here is lively with lots of visual puns and the "skipper" servers making bad jokes (a la Jungle Cruise jokes). Since I was freezing from being rain soaked and now in air conditioning, I had delicious coffee. DD had water and their "Enchanted Orange Dream" which was Dole Whip Orange blended with vanilla soft-serve with an orange candy rim. We both got and appetizer. DD went with the "secret" item the cheese bread with cilantro cream cheese. I got the soup which changes daily(?), it was a carrot ginger with notes of curry. It was very ginger forward but I enjoyed it. The crunchy nuts on top were nice. We then shared the Nile Nellie's Noodles which are described as "Niles and Niles of Rice Noodles...Sautéed Shrimp tossed with a Spicy Tamarind Sauce, Pickled Radish, Eggs, Toasted Peanuts, and Fresh-cut Herbs. They very thoughtfully divided the dish so we each got a perfect portion. Not sure I could have eaten a whole serving. These noodles had a real kick to them and were unlike any noodle dish I ever had. Delicious with tastes that were bold and hard to pin down, maybe tamarind? Sharing was a perfect option both with the amount and price. The total bill for two was $64 before tip. Not too terrible for a sit down dinner at WDW.

Yelp
Never went to this place as a kid is Disney but do I truly appreciate the flavors this place has! Main course not pictured because we were too busy eating it. We go the shrimp noodles and beef hanger steak. The staff was engaging and super attentive. The tables and inside decor is very cool, and I hope to come back soon. PS great cocktails and wine list. Also by the way! This place is NOT the jungle navigation please help update the name.

Yelp
We visited Skipper Canteen on a Wednesday night. We had a reservation and were seated within 10 minutes of arriving. I love the decoration and atmosphere in this restaurant. The servers are also all hilarious and totally got into whatever story I was telling or conversation we were having with their own jokes and puns. They provided so much entertainment. We started with the cheesy bread which was a special and totally delicious. We also got the falafel which was tasty and well seasoned. I ordered the lamb chops which were just incredible. They came out beautiful and perfectly cooked. It was a really sizable plate for the cost too. I couldn't have been happier with it. The only reason I docked a star is because it took my drink about 40 minutes to come out. 3 of us ordered at the same time, and one guy got his, but the other two of us were doomed to drink purgatory. That being said, once they came out they were delicious and I absolutely loved it.

Yelp
Theme was not very noticeable. Portion were small. Food was okay, not bad. We had the fried chicken, noodle bowl, and kids chicken tenders. Noodles was American version of pad Thai. The fried on the chicken was food. The lava cake for kids meal was a nice touch. Service unremarkable.

Yelp
Full disclosure we've eaten here before and really enjoy the food and atmosphere. We also prefer a sit down lunch to take a break from the chaos of the parks and it doesn't hurt that you can have an adult beverage. The food is really good! The salad was terrific with a creamy poblano dressing. I had the hanger steak with coconut rice which was phenomenal. My husband got the char sui pork, which was too sweet for me but he liked it. The service was great with a fun vibe and the margarita was expensive but it's the only one in the magic kingdom so...

Yelp
I don't know why this place is listed as Jungle Cruise. That's the ride goddamnit! The restaurant is called Jungle Navigation Co LTD Skipper Canteen! Anyway, the restaurant is just like the ride. Good, fun, and full of puns. I think the servers must have like an encyclopedia of Dad Jokes or something, because it's just endless with them! They're super sweet and funny. The food is rather excellent too! I had the "Tastes Like Chicken Because it Is!", and the wife had Dr Falls Signature Steak. Both were really well done. Excellent flavours, kinda asian inspired, so not blandly flavoured stuff, which is exactly what I like. Decor is awesome and looks just like the ride queue, which is a bonus. Well priced too!

Yelp
Second time dining at Skipper Canteen, this time for lunch. Decor and service is on always on point here. It's refreshing to come inside to the unique jungle/safari aesthetic after all the hustling around in Magic Kingdom. Our waiter Richard made great suggestions and was very attentive. Great jokes as well. We had the cheese bread appetizer which is not on the menu but they will provide upon asking. Richard recommended the lamb which definitely hit the spot with its uniquely deep flavor. The coconut bar is not overly sweet or heavy, which was a great way to end lunch. This place definitely deserves its hype. I will also mention that the last time we were here for dinner, our picky toddler did not have any of his food and our waitress at that time just comped his entree. This was such a nice gesture and reflects on the quality of the establishment. We will definitely return.

Yelp
We were at Magic Kingdom and wanted to try something new for lunch. Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen was our first choice . Started with Falls Family Falafel then I ordered Baa Baa Lamb Chops while my wife had the Sustainable fish and we shared Kungaloosh for desserts, Food was delicious and service was fantastic.

Yelp
My mom and I loved our meal here yesterday! This is definitely my favorite restaurant in terms of food in the Magic Kingdom. The menu is super unique and totally not what you would expect at a theme park. It is also one of the few restaurants in Magic Kingdom that have alcoholic beverages which is a fun addition! The theming is after the Jungle Cruise and all the workers, from the people seating you to the hosts to the servers are all in with the puns and dad jokes that you expect on the Jungle Cruise. It is a fun addition and adds to the overall experience! There are 3 different themed rooms to dine in. We ate in the "mess hall" which had fun little touches throughout the room. I had the red sangria to drink which was delish and full of flavor. My mom and I split the falafel to start and it was so great! I loved the addition of pepitas for crunch. You get 5 falafel total, so it is a good one to share. For my entree, I had the "Tastes like Chicken, cause it is!" This is not your normal fried chicken. It is so crispy with a great glaze over top, veggies, and rice. It definitely tastes like an asian fusion dish. I definitely recommend it! I also tried some of my mom's dan dan noodles, and those were delish as well! I can't wait to come back here, and I totally recommend this spot if you are looking for a sit down meal during your day in the Magic Kingdom! It's a great way to relax and get out of the busy theme park for an hour!

Yelp
We had a fantastic experience! Our energy was low when we arrived, but from the beginning, the hostess had us cracking up with the best puns and jokes. The ambiance and theming was great and felt fresh and immersive. We ordered the falafel platter, which was delicious. I had the vegetarian curry stew, which has a hearty portion, and I ate almost all of it! The dish doesn't really need the pancake, which is a bit tough and tasteless, but the rest of the dish is very tasty. When we mentioned my husband's allergy, they brought out the special menu and were very attentive. We enjoyed the chocolate cake as the dessert, and they even put the coffee powder on the side for me because I don't like coffee flavor. I'll be returning here for sure as I feel it has some of the best vegetarian options in Magic Kingdom!

Yelp
Easily one of my favorite table service lock-in Magic Kingdom. Not as expensive as my other favorite options. Food is always good. Rooms are fun. Cast members are generally excellent (a lot of your experience is dependent on your cast member where dining is concerned) It's my go to when friends want to go a seated, air conditioned break for a few hours to break up the day & rest their feet but don't want to spend as much as they would at other options like Cinderella's Castle. I will say most of the options have become quite spicy I've noticed the past few years. If you are spice adverse, (like me) you can ask for the spicy element on the side and they can usually do that for you. This is what I do and it's usually not an issue. Apps are a good size and could be eaten as a smaller but still filling meal. Pro tip, get the cheese balls - you may have to ask specifically for them. Thank me later. Have never had a bad cocktail here and they have a selection of beer for the ones who just want a beer and not have to think about anything else.

Yelp
I don't know how to start but I really felt like I need to write our experience. My husband, cousin and I had such a great experience dining here back in 2021 and that was why we came back again with family and friend members on 9/9/2023. Here were our orders. 1. Brazilian cheese bread $13: This was the only one tasted good. 2. Dan Dan noodles $28: The presentation was ok but to be honest, the whole dish was super salty! The noodles tasted like marinated with whole bottle of soybean sauce! I read some good reviews on this menu but as being a noodle dish lover and have tried all kinds of noodles, this one was very disappointing. I will not recommend it at all. 3. Chicken entree $28: The fried chicken itself was ok but again, I guess the sauce was the same one as Dan Dan noodles' so I won't recommend it, either especially the portion was also very very small. 4. Char Su $28: Salty as hell. Same disappointment. 5. Kids menu: $12-$14 portions were very small. Side Note: Party over 6 will be charged 18% gratuity automatically. We, 4 adults and 2 kids, spent almost $200 and felt like not worth it at all. I hope the manager can read this review and chef can improve the tastes. ------------------ 奧蘭多迪士尼MKJungle Navigation踩雷 2年前吃過覺得不錯所以老公這次又訂了這家Jungle Navigation Co. Yelp
I had a reservation for 6 at a late lunch time and the restaurant is spacious. The service here is themed, sassy, and different from other dine-in restaurants. We shared a cheese bread with a chimichurri sauce as an appetizer and it was my favorite thing at the restaurant. The sauce really complimented the bread. The table ordered a variety of things and I had the Dr. Falls Signature Grilled Steak which is their fusion of a Lomo Saltado. The steak was chewy, the fries were bad that it didn't taste like a French fry, more like a weirdly seasoned slightly raw potato, and the veggies were soft and salty. I tried some of the chicken from the "Taste Like Chicken" Because It Is from another plate and it tasted like a bad Taiwanese popcorn chicken dupe. If I were to come back here I would order something else.

Yelp
This is one of our absolute favorite spots to have a sit-down dinner in Magic Kingdom. We love that the Jungle Cruise skipper humor is a big part of the atmosphere. The menu is super unique and fun. I've had a couple dishes here and love them all. This time around, I got a white sangria to drink. It was tasty. For an appetizer, we shared the Brazilian cheese bread with pesto. It was absolutely delicious and easy to share. The bread was pillowy and rich and the pesto was bright and herbaceous. For my entree, I got Dr.Falls signature steak. The steak came out a perfect medium rare with great flavor. The fries and veggies that came with it balanced out the dish. I was obsessed with the aioli that came on it and got an extra side of it. Abdul, our server was absolutely amazing. He was so funny and very attentive. He was the embodiment of Disney magic. This is a top choice if you're looking for a nice meal in the park.

Yelp
Had considered trying this for some time, but was always drawn to other restaurants first. After being in Disney for a long trip, we decided to give it a try. The menu is extremely limited, which I found.....limiting. I ordered the "not piranha" fish and my husband had the chicken. Both were fine, but probably not worth the price tag. The fish was seasoned nicely and I found it to be fairly subtle. There were few vegetable pieces, probably like 4 or 5 bits of mushroom. It is always a bit of a pet peeve for me when restaurants go extremely light on the veggies, seeing as how they're fairly inexpensive and need to be used otherwise they expire. Also, the skipper waiters are supposed to do some sort of schtick akin to what you experience on Jungle cruise, and ours did not. The atmosphere inside is cute, fun and quite well done. My biggest gripe about dining at Disney is that you're paying more for the meals than at a typical joint yet your meal is almost always accompanied with the sounds of a child misbehaving. As a parent to a toddler myself, I get that children get tired, bored, etc.... Which is why when mine gets that way, we get our food packed up to go or we leave him home with grandma where he can have more fun anyway. So all the shitty parents, as usual, ruin it. I digress. If you don't mind spending $100+ for a meal that's just ehh, then by all means go for it, but in my humble opinion, there are better places to spend that much at the magic kingdom, or another park.

Yelp
The name of this business is Skipper Canteen-Jungle Navigation. The "jingle cruise" named here is a holiday overlay of the Jungle Cruise ride. That attraction is worth riding if you happen to be down here at the time. We had reservations for lunch and were seated promptly in one of the three main dining rooms. The "sea club" is themed after a secret society. Check out the walls and you will see a butterfly collection on one of them. Lillian Disney (Walt's wife) was a fan of butterflies and this display is in memory of her. We had a very attending and helpful waiter. Having heard so much about the falafel appetizer I just had to have it. I decided to split it with my husband along with his entree "tastes like chicken." To clarify-This dish is not adequately described on the menu. It is made up of 3 breaded chicken tenders over rice and other sauces and vegetables. Note the waiter will mention the "secret" appetizer if you want it which is a cheese bread. Splitting the appetizer and entree was perfect for us. I really enjoyed the falafels-they alone are worth 5 stars and would definitely recommend them to anyone coming here. The chicken tenders were good and a descent size. The sauce and other things were alright. I loved how our waiter carried the "puns" normally found on the Jungle Cruise ride over here. It seemed an extension of the ride itself. This was a delicious meal and I definitely would return just for the falafel alone. Located in Adventureland in the Magic Kingdom near the Jungle Cruise ride.

Yelp
The food here was so salty. The dam dan noodles had so much salt in it that it made it difficult to eat. I had to chug some water with every bite I took. The lamb was the best entree that we got, the chicken was also on the salty side but the rice helped balance it out. Our serve was very friendly and attentive. The overall feel of the restaurant doesn't give a Disney feel and felt like you were at any other restaurant outside of the park
