Experience stunningly plated Japanese cuisine and fresh sushi paired with inventive cocktails in a chic, lively atmosphere that's perfect for a night out.
"A nicer sushi restaurant that will cost you a bit, but isn’t overpriced for what it is. Nobody plates sushi more prettily than the sushi chefs at Juno. Load up on the simple sashimi and nigiri, but make sure you try at least one of their “smoked” specials." - sam faye, adrian kane, john ringor, veda kilaru
"For chef B.K. Park, fresh fish is his palette and a sharp knife is his paint brush. With them, he composes plates of seared scallops and toro tartare, as well as an array of nigiri bites. Don’t miss the aromatic smoked sashimi either — it’s Park’s magnum opus." - Naomi Waxman
"Sometimes you don’t appreciate a place until it gets taken away from you. That was the case with Juno in Lincoln Park, which closed after a fire in 2014. Thankfully it reopened a year later, and since we’ve only grown to love it more. It’s laid-back, and although it can get expensive (they’re small pieces starting around $5 and it can add up), it doesn’t feel overpriced. This is mainly because of how great everything is, but also because everything is creatively plated—like the smoked fish nigiri that’s presented tableside under a glass dome. Focus on the sashimi and nigiri when you come here, and make sure to order one of the signature maki, like the crispy sake which is filled with fried unagi and topped with spicy salmon." - adrian kane, john ringor, veda kilaru
"Sequestered inside a rather plain and dimly lit space, a bar up front gives way to this more contemporary and bright dining room. The latter is a hit among locals and tourists looking to get all dressed-up for a night out on the town. The menu has a handful of small plates, including delicacies like juicy chicken meatball skewers with a pepper-soy glaze, but the main attraction is their wide variety of sushi. Traditional options appear alongside more creative signature takes, and Chef B.K. Park's deft touch with seafood can be seen in both. Specialties include the Juno Queen, a nigiri featuring salmon and spicy scallop with potato crunch. Other items, like a spicy octopus hand roll or soy-marinated sea eel dabbed with sesame seeds, also make a fine feast." - Michelin Inspector
"BK Park, the chef behind Juno in Lincoln Park and Michelin-starred Mako near Randolph Restaurant Row, is aiming for a mid-October opening for Tamu at 804 W. Washington Boulevard." - Naomi Waxman
