KFire Logan Square Korean BBQ

We ordered the bokki fries, dumplings and a salad and the servings were good for two people. The food was very savory and filled with lots of flavor. Hands down the best dumplings I’ve had in Logan square area. Definitely recommend for a quick bite!

Great Korean food! The service was fast and I was very happy with my food. The Kalbi with the marinated mushrooms and corn salad was so tasty I can’t describe it. I need to come back soon! If you're looking to grab something quick, healthy not expensive and good this is your place!

Come on Logan Square and Chi-town don't sleep on this no fuss no muss K BBQ! I ordered the Soy Ginger Beef w Kimchi two ways (slaw and regular) and a side of Bocca Fries. Oh wowsie it's good and fast! While I ditched the brunch crowd (you can wait 2 hours for a subpar smash burger) and mowed down some tasty Korean BBQ!

I had their spicy chicken delivered for lunch at work and was absolutely blown away. Everything tasted great. I would absolutely recommend this to any fan of Korean BBQ.

The food here is absolutely delicious! Every dish I tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection (a literal party in my mouth). Highly recommend the bokki fries, the pickles, green onion salad, and the soy ginger beef.

Yum, yum, yum! Hits the spot every time. The chadol salad is so good- I usually get that so I can also enjoy the other dishes too. The serving sizes are incredibly generous, you definitely get good value for your money here. The inferno chicken (not pictured) is amazing if you like to sweat while you eat- it’s absolutely spicy but so delicious you can’t stop. My husband loves it!

I ordered the spicy chicken bowl with rice, green onion salad, cucumbers, and kimchi for delivery. It exceeded my expectations! The chicken was flavorful and quite spicy (which I enjoy), and the fresh veggies were the perfect side dish. Would definitely order again!

My job catered from this place and everything I tasted was pretty good and fresh. I went back to eat at the restaurant (it is a cozy place with few sitting) and had a great meal. The rice was very fluffy and good. You also do not feel bad eating here because mostly everything is pretty healthy.

While it's cool that they have the Impossible Kalbi as a vegetarian option, I can't believe this entrée costs $18. You get two Barbecue Plate sides, and it comes with Rice and Green Onion Salad. Honestly, when I looked back at the photo and the receipt showing the price, I feel like this is only worth about half that. There was one other group in the restaurant, and they were so loud, we ended up taking our food to a nearby park to eat instead.

Passed by here the other day and I was intrigued so stopped in. When I entered I saw they have a station where you can place your order on your own and then pick it up. I placed my order that way and when I was preparing to pay I found that they don't have a way for you to use digital wallets at that station; a credit card is required. The employee made some comment that suggested perhaps they were going to fix that so it can at some point take digital wallets but I don't know if he was just saying that or not. Anyway, that was kind of annoying, just make sure to bring your card if you decide to use that or you can order at the counter and you can use a digiwallet. The chicken was okay. I liked the soy ginger flavor though it wasn't very strong. I also got the kalbi one we could share and it was really good. I don't think I've ever had short rib before, but this is what I'd order if I visit again. It made me think, is this what Korean BBQ tastes like all the time (as opposed to this just being their seasoning/saucing)? If so I've been missing out on it for sure. The potstickers were ok. I think they would have been good if they were steamed but they are fried here and that's not my preference. I got one of their dessert things but it wasn't my bag. It tasted to me like circus peanuts, which is a candy I hate with a fiery passion. There was no one here when I stopped in but they have plenty of seating including a counter at the front of the restaurant. Parking doesn't exist anywhere but on the street here, which can be tricky.

A modern quick service and takeout version of Korean BBQ - Delicious and fresh, authentic Korean food that's affordable! Clean environment with plenty of seating and just a few minutes walk from the train. I came all the way from Los Angeles and stopped here in between connecting flights. Totally worth it!

Always reliable good Korean dishes. On this visit my wife had the Kalbi and I had the spicy chicken. Love all of their sides they are fresh and pair perfectly with the entree choices. Place is always clean and staff is friendly.

I actually love the food but the things that I love are slowly changing and for the worse. First there were no more radishes. Now, the corn can't be ordered as a side option and doesn't actually taste the same. It's really disappointing because this place has always been my go to.

We just tried this for dinner and it was pretty okay, I think maybe we missed something when ordering online because we didn't get any type of sauce so it was just plain rice and vegetables. The marinated mushrooms and kalbi were good but everything else was just kind of average. But it did taste healthy which is good!

Wow. I didn't expect much from this fast-casual Korea spot, but boy was I wrong. The Soy-Ginger Beef was sliced super thin, marinated well, and cooked to just the right temp. I will definitely be back to try their other options.

My mouth is watering just remembering this place. I had visited Chicago a few weeks ago, and my friends and I were craving some Korean food on our last day. We saw KFIRE was nearby and decided to stop by for lunch. When we arrived, we were able to get a table for 8 very easily since not many people were there. Despite having a big party, we all got our food within 20 minutes. I had ordered the pork belly plate, and let me tell you, the pork was SO SO GOOD! I've had dreams about the pork haha. When you bite into it, it just melts in your mouth because of how well it's cooked. The salt on the pork brought out the flavor even more, so you can't help but eat more. The rice and vegetable side dishes were a refreshing contrast to the pork, and I liked how they balanced out the proportions evenly throughout the plate. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Korean food/KBBQ!

Good Fast Food Korean ... Chipotle style. Might take 10min because the entree is freshly grilled, but you don't mind, its decent. Props to the two kids that came up with this concept, and plopped it in the trendy and gentrification-crazed Logan Square. There are some K franchises out here already but they're more fusion restaurants and in the NW burbs. Wouldn't fly for old school but its fine for the BTS crowd,.. legit. Lol. I know I enjoyed the ground Impossible oval burger doused with K BBQ sauce... I'll have to try and make this myself, it wasn't Kalbi, but it was tasty... Feedback, dig the recyclable square bowls however rice gets too sticky and can't get it all... towards the end, maybe a layer of salad to buffer?

Chipotle style Korean food! I was quite impressed with the food here. I don't eat Korean food too often but I do enjoy it time to time. I haven't really seen many places that are Korean style fast food, so I was intrigued. K fire balls - crispy breaded rice balls filled with cheese and spam, comes with a side of tonkatsu mayo. These were yummy! Can't go wrong with anything filled with cheese though right? The sauce was a tad salty for me but still good nonetheless! Pork belly bowl - the pork belly was done perfectly! Seasoned well with sweet wine miso marinade and grilled flavor was delicious. The quality of pork belly was wonderful - nice sized cubes with a good fat to meat ratio. Rice was made well too, the stickiness of it complements the protein and the sides. You get to pick 2 sides (kimchi, kimchi slaw, spicy daikon, seasoned cucumber, marinated mushrooms, corn salad) for your bowl. I didn't get to try the kimchi, but will definitely get it next time. The bowls range from $11 - $18. Will be back to try the cheese corn and the bokki fries next time!

Our first time here and we loved it. Great portions, the meats are delicious and the appetizers as well. The staff are very sweet, kind and helpful and answer all yours questions with honesty. I look forward to eating here again!

KFire Korean BBQ is a great spot to get your Korean BBQ fix! They offer BBQ plates, salads, and Bites/signature appetizers. I've tried a bit of everything they have to offer and they all have been delicious. All the protein they offer are grilled and they have vegetarian/vegan choices with mushroom and impossible protein offering. I do wish they had tofu available as a choice since it is also good when grilled. My favorite so far has been soy ginger chicken sesame salad, kalbi and KFire spicy chicken bbq plate. The plates also include green onion salad and two sides. The salad gives a lighter tasty option to try the grilled BBQ protein and all the vegetables are fresh with the delicious house made dressing. For the Bites, I recommend the Bokki Fries. It's crispy rice cakes tossed in a sauce with caramelized onions and beef. They recommend to add with cheese but personally I didn't think it needed it. The fries were already flavorful in itself. Definitely give KFire a try if you are in the mood for Korean food, they offer good quality meats/proteins, fresh ingredients and the food is ready fast.

This is like Chipotle but a Korean version! Everything was absolutely delicious. My family and I had a pretty big order but I'm so glad nothing was missing (which usually happens when we order out). For apps, we ordered the bokki fries, cheesy corn, and kfire balls. Bokki fries are the way to go (order it with cheese to make it even better). For the bbq plates, I was able to try the kalbi, pork belly, and chadol (brisket) with the salad. Everything was grilled to order and all the ingredients used were fresh. My favorite would probably be the chadol salad because brisket is so so good! Definitely recommend trying this place out if you're in the area and craving some Korean food. P.S. if you order online, you get 20% off your first order

I have been to Kfire a few times ,but im afraid I wont be back for a while. My two bowls were both served at first cold, I was afraid I was going to get sick after my first bite. After telling the young guy working my meat was cold he said "I don't know what to tell you". I was then helped by the cook who told me "do not worry about it" The cook then heated up the chicken and they gave me back my food 15 minutes later, this time the rice was hard because it had been sitting now for half an hour. I did bite into another piece of chicken and it was still cold. After coming up to the register again with the cold food I was directed by the guy at the register who's name was Jhon not sure if he gave me a fake name to a lady who worked in the back of the house. I did ask for a refund and was given one , but I had to write the review solely because of the costumer service I received from the guy working in front. After I asked for a receipt for my refund I was told by the guy at the register to please leave. I did not raise my voice or give attitude , but I was confused as to why I was asked to leave the establishment. I do believe in bad kitchen days but the service was so bad i'm afraid I won't be back for a while!

Chadol Salad is great. The dukbokki fries are a highway robbery for $8. 8 pieces of rice cake for $8. Come on KFire, I know inflation is high, but not this high.

We pass this place all the time and always wanted to try it. Due to Covid we ordered take out. When you order thru the website they had a deal for 20% off order entire order. We got the following. Rice balls-They are like fried rice balls with cheese in the middle. I was not a huge fan of these but my husband enjoyed it. Cheesy corn: amazing!!! The mozzarella cheese and corn complemented each other so well. I would definitely come back for this. Spicy chicken bowl: chicken was flavorful I got this with rice, kimchi, and cucumbers. Everything complimented each other really well. Kolbi bowl: the meat was seasoned perfectly. We substituted rice for salad. Then got cucumber salad and kimchi with it. Potstickers: this was stuffed with meat and crispy on the outside Fries: this tasted great! We did order it with meat but I only saw the diced onions, cheese, and "fries". We will definitely becoming back here again!

For a fast casual Korean spot, the food here was pretty solid! I got the spicy pork belly ( warning: it's VERY spicy) and it was super tender. I also tried the regular pork belly and enjoyed it as well. The sides of cucumbers were nice and crisp but will say the kimchi was pretty underwhelming. Overall, their food is pretty affordable and delicious!

This place is great. I placed a to-go order while stuck in traffic and I actually arrived a bit too early. No problem. They started firing up my to-go order right away (so the food was fresh- who would complain about that?) The owner is an extremely friendly person and went out of his way to double down on the service. Let me taste the mushrooms (which are really good by the way! I recommend them)--offered me a drink while I waited for my food. Above and beyond on the quality of the service. I meant to order the spicy chicken but I got the soy-ginger chicken instead and that was 100% on me for fat-fingering my order. The portion of chicken was more than generous, the food was warm, flavorful. Honestly, when you go to chipotle and you get the little gristle bits of chicken in your mediocre burrito? Yeah, you are full but it wasn't particularly satisfying. For the price of the same chipotle burrito, you will get something that you'll actually enjoy.

This place is the bomb! My office caters from here regularly and our clients are always satisfied. Highly recommend their catering services. We have tried everything on their menu and it is all . Always fresh and delicious.

So pleasantly surprised by our experience at this restaurant! I took my daughters this week as part of our weekly Cuisine Around the World Summer Lunches. This week, we chose Korean cuisine. We were met with a warm greeting by the staff and owner. The restaurant is clean, sleek and modern. We ordered the Soy Ginger Chicken and the Kfire Spicy Chicken along with several sides ( kimchi, the kimchi slaw , seasoned cucumbers, corn salad, green onion salad), rice and dessert. I loved the flavor profiles of the food items. Really delicious food. Even my daughters enjoyed the food dishes and their experience here. I recommend Kfire!

I came back here with a girlfriend on a Friday night and the food was just as good as the first time we tried the place. Both times that we've visited, there were no problems finding street parking along Milwaukee Ave. The place inside was spacious, clean and the service was superb. My friend and I have tried the following items from the menu: KALBI- Very tender and flavorful pieces of meat PORK BELLY- Winner! SPICY GINGER BEEF- Great flavors K FIRE BALLS- Fantastic. I can eat this with rice all day long. CHEESY CORN- This was so addicting BOKKI FRIES- I loved this especially the sauce. Everything that we've had has been delicious and tasted like home cooked meals. All the dishes had perfectly seasoned and cooked meats, the typical Korean sides (radish, kimchi, pickles, etc.) were fresh and the appetizers were unique and oh so good. Even though this is considered a fast food Korean place, they offer authentic and fresh-of-the-grill proteins. The chef/ co-owner Eddie Hwang grills the meat as the orders come in so if you choose to dine in, your food will be served warm on a recyclable container, tasting delicious as they look and smell. I am glad that K Fire serves quality Korean food and I hope that people continue to discover what this new place has to offer. Keep up the good work and I wish you all the best!

Really nice, fresh, casual Korean eats when you got that itch for delicious Korean food. Lot's of options and they all looked flavorful and cooked tenderly. They have an impossible meat option too for vegetarians! The mushroom side is very yummy, I've never gotten that from a Korean place before. I felt it was a little on the pricey side and would've been nice if you got a little bigger portions. But it was a very good filling meal for ~$16 which is more than you can say for most spots in the city.

Supposed to be extra pork belly. Is this really worth an extra $7? Pork belly isn't even seasoned. I could have done this myself.

We just had burned beef under the name of Kalbi at a relatively high price (for what we get). There is nothing special here. I don't understand how they got 4.5 stars.

Delicious! One of my fav Korean places in the area. Definitely recommend to anyone with a hankering for some Korean fare.

K fire has very good food. I have zero complaints regarding the taste of my meal. Kalbi short rib- great. Loved the spicy radish and mushrooms were pretty good too. Meal came complete with yummy rice and salad. While very good, a little pricy for what you get. 2 entrees and 1 side of fries set us back $46.00. That's a bit too much in my book for a fast casual joint. That said, it was really good food so I may return one day. Recommend as long as your ok spending a lot for a very casual take out meal.

This place is FIRE! Stopped in the other day for lunch and was promptly greeted by the nicest crew member (maybe the owner?). The interior is modern and clean. I was surprised to see it empty, but I could tell they were busy fulfilling to-go and delivery orders, because as I waited, at least 5 people came in for pickups. I ordered the spicy chicken plate with kimchi and cucumbers. Everything is made fresh to order, so I took a seat and waited about 5 minutes for my order to be ready. The chicken was extremely juicy and tender. And the spicy BBQ sauce was out of the world. The perfect amount of spice, while still retaining loads of flavor. I might even kick it up a notch and give their inferno option a try next time. The kimchi and cucumbers were delicious as well. The vinegar marinade complemented the heat of the chicken perfectly. I wish I lived closer to KFire because I could see myself getting lunch here regularly. Might I suggest a second location in Lakeview?! *wink wink* I'm looking forward to my next meal from here.

$6 for FOUR dumplings??? Not even X-Large dumplings.. regular small dumplings. $1.50 per dumpling? Ridiculous they weren't even tasty . Very dissatisfied and disappointed

Spicy KFire Pork Belly plate was incredibly delicious! 10/10 I got it with kimchi slaw and corn salad. The pork is spicy and tender, I will be ordering this again! Get the large fried dumplings too, they rock!

Stopped around 9pm on Monday to dine in. Long story short, pork belly was overdone by a long shot, charred and very dry. The guy grilling did not pay attention at all. I actually saw that. I've never had pork belly that dry and charred. Yack. Also, my order took like 15 mins to come out (explains why the meat was so dry), while the place was literally empty. Perhaps the wrong fella was grilling my meat.

My husband has gotten bowls from here several times, but I've only ordered from here once. I got the fried dumplings (stuffed with pork and vegetables) and they were really good. If I was on the go, I could see myself just ordering those dumplings. For my main meal, I ordered the KFire Pork Belly Bowl and really liked it. The vegetables they accompanied the meat were so fresh tasting and I thought that the portion size of the bowl was filling enough. The prices for the bowls are a little higher than some of their competitors, but I feel that the quality ingredients and flavor make it worth it.

DELICIOUS, great prices, love their kimchee slaw and marinated mushrooms. I had the K-Fire spicy chicken, which was not too spicy for me (as a medium spice person?). Super friendly staff and biodegradable take out boxes (the bottoms, anyhow-- tops are recyclable!) with an "impossible" option and a mushroom option if you're meat-free (or just love mushrooms?). The honey bokki dessert was a little much for me, but if you really get into the sauce and also probably share it, not a bad final bite. Will definitely be back, must try the bokki "fries!"

I'm a huge fan of kalbi so I was excited to try this place. To start, they freshly grill the meat so the kalbi came out fresh and was super flavorful. I chose the seasoned cucumbers and spicy daikon for my two sides and each element was great. Overall I really enjoyed the meal but wish there were some sauce options to tie everything together. Overall, I would recommend this place for some great, quick Korean food.

Kept seeing this when searching quick options in the area and was lured by the great reviews. Ordered this for pick up and food was ready quickly! I ate the short ribs and ordered it with the recommended sides (kimchi slaw and seasoned cucumbers) Let me break down the meal: Shorts ribs were decent. Meat was tender, proportion was generous, felt like it lack a tad bit of flavor. Rice was delicious and everything you want with an Asian meal. Perfect amount of stickiness and again the portion was generous. Kimchi was a miss for me. Coming from a huge kimchi lover, this just didn't hit the mark. Very bitter with really no other flavor. Seasoned cucumbers also subpar. Portion size was small, cucumbers too soggy and they seemed to missing the "seasoned" in "seasoned cucumbers". Not an amazing meal but good enough where I'd come back. Would probably try a different meat and switch up the sides next time I return.

The food is great... if you can get it. I have spent over $4,000 on this place ordering via grubhub and doordash. They don't support those any longer. The website says that they deliver, but they just take your money and order but don't even give you a way to give them the address to deliver to. Then when you try to call them, they don't answer the phone... at all. Call and call and get nobody. Voicemail. No response. Email, no response. Money taken nothing delivered. Sounds like theft, plain and simple.

Ordered 3 times from Kfire as its close to my place. At any rate, they are pretty solid with their dishes. Kalbi bowl-Delicious King Mushroom bowl-Outta sight Spicy Chicken bowl delish Its a solid consistent place to get food and the sides it comes with are perfect. Oh lets not forget the Boki fries, Kfire rice balls and their dumplings. Yummy Korean food that is conveniently located in Logan Square. Price points are solid as well. No pics- I ate before I took a pic. (my norm sometimes. LOL )

Cute place that is serving authentic Korean food fast food style. I like that they have spciy and non spicy options. My son had the marinated beef bowl with cucumbers and mushrooms. I had the chicken and kimchi. Protip: If you want a lighter meal order the kid portion...its still just as good. I like that they are using the recycled containers but the rice sticks to the bowl...maybe they can try wax paper or another container bc I really like my rice. :-) They have a small ...2 table eating area in the front for those who want to enjoy people watching or the fresh air.

I wish I lived closer to this place so I could come here every day. The food here is really good and fresh. My favorite dishes are spicy KFire pork belly and KFire spicy chicken. They always make my food right and never mess it up. The workers here are very nice and friendly. I feel so happy every time I come here.

First time at KFire and the food was really good. I got the pork belly as the protein, kimchi and marinated mushrooms as the sides. I really like how they grilled the meat as you're ordering so it's hot when you eat. Wait time was short too about 7 mins this has similar vibes to chipotle

I ordered for delivery from here. I've tasted many Korean take out foods and some of them are pretty disappointing. This one was amazing! The pork belly is so good! The rice balls with the cheesiest cheese in the middle were tasty and the cheesy corn was awesome. I will be making this my go to place. I'm also pretty far from their restaurant and they got the food to me fast and fresh. Yum! Run don't walk to this tasty spot.

This place is the only fast-casual Korean joint that I know of in Chicago and it tastes good! Service was fast and with a smile. With everything going on right now I felt safe walking in and ordering in person. They had hand sanitizer upon entry and plexiglass in front of the cashier. The kitchen is open concept so you can see everything they are doing and it was very clean looking. Order: Kalbi - This was my favorite of the meats. Tender short rib pieces with a char grill flavor. Soy ginger beef - aka bulgogi was on point. Pork belly - the char grilled taste was what stood out and the pieces were so so tender. Bokki Fries - a creative take on the popular Korean street food "dukkbokki" (spicy rice cakes), and it was my favorite thing on the menu! It's crispy and chewy at the same time. Do yourself a favor and get this! Kfire balls - another creative item which is basically Korean arancini(Italian rice balls). It's crispy, a hint of spicy, and cheesy and is great with the tonkatsu-Mayo sauce. You won't find this anywhere else! I'm so glad that there is finally a Korean fast-casual restaurant around and it's delicious to boot. Can't wait to come back!

Super solid place and great for the price. It's especially great because they're one of the places that are open pretty late and the food comes out pretty quick. I definitely need good quick food because I'm coming here late in the night after my workouts so this place is literally everything I'm looking for when I'm starving. I got the Kfire platter and it's a fantastic value for it's price. Great flavors and the mix of two sides with the onions are delicious. My favorite thing about Korean food is the side dishes so I was pleasantly pleased. The only thing is I wish I had more but for about a $10 bowl you can't beat it. We also had the fried dumplings which were pretty solid dumplings but the best part is that they came out super fresh, hot, and crispy. I definitely enjoyed the texture more than the flavor but they were still 4 out of 5 for me. The place itself was very well lit and super clean. All in all great value, delicious flavors, and quick food. What more could you ask for?
