"I love the Miami-vibe here; although it opened as a cocktail bar, the food menu (with Ricky Bella in the kitchen) is substantial and inexpensive for what it is — most plates are under $25 and most drinks under $15, so two drinks and two entrees will likely keep you under $100." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden
"The fourth Kimpton hotel in the greater Miami area is the Kimpton Hotel Palomar South Beach, which stands discreetly along the banks of Collins Canal, in the Sunset Harbour neighborhood on the Biscayne Bay–facing side of the island. In the typical Kimpton manner the Palomar is attractive, but wears its stylishness lightly, and goes out of its way to feel approachable." - Mark Fedeli
"Torcia Nera Osteria Morini is an Italian restaurant from New York that just opened a location in South Beach. And despite the fact that the phrase “restaurant from New York” is starting to make me feel the way some people do when they hear the word “moist,” I stopped by to check them out. And the pasta is pretty good. I got a few, but ended up really liking the torcia nera, which is squid ink pasta with seppia and shrimp ragù. This place is in a hotel in South Beach, so brace for steep prices and a touristy crowd, but if you’re a lover of pasta, it’s worth a trip here eventually." - ryan pfeffer, carlos c olaechea
"A newly opened beachfront property on the edge of Sunset Harbour with a two-tiered rooftop offering a pool and ocean views, socially distanced oversized lounge chairs, and rooftop yoga classes. Guests can access a private beach club and take part in on-water activities such as yacht rentals and stand-up paddle boarding, while a walkable neighborhood of trendy cafés, restaurants, and wellness studios sits nearby." - AFAR
"A newly built five-story modern hotel on Collins Canal adjacent to Sunset Harbour, this property eschews local art-deco cues for a glassy, luxury-liner silhouette and places 96 rooms around a central atrium to maximize natural light. Signature amenities include in-room yoga mats and premium bath products, while a glam, canopy-inspired rooftop pool and a canal-side restaurant aim to integrate the hotel into the South Beach scene." - Sandra Ramani
